Aaron Johnson and Anton Yelchin have squeezed their way into the Spider-Man potentials.

No to Aaron, and Yelchin would be better suited as Harry, IMO.
They offered it to Aaron already, and he turned it down. At least that's how he made it seem when asked about it a few months ago.
Either way, Aaron is already (apparently) involved in Vaughn's First Class.

If Anton Yelchin gets the role, I will lose my freaking mind!
Lose your mind in a good way or bad way?
I personally don't know who the hell any of these people are.

Im rooting for Jamie, and its going round the studio that he everybodys favourite. But I just hope at the end of the day,Sony and Webb make the right choice, whoever it may be. Thats all that matters.
Also Webb is using Kick-Ass at his inspiration for the movie.

Yelchin was the best part of TS and he is great as Chekov. He is basically the perfect Peter Parker. He has that nerdy look to him, he's not a big guy, he can be funny and sarcastic with the quips when he is Spider-Man. Not to mention Yelchin is a fantastic actor.

I'd support Johnson or Yeclin for the part. I still wanna see Aaron Johnson play John Lennon. I like them better then Jamie Bell for the role.

well, i think they are the final candidates... look at the cap casting: first, they brought 5 guys we hated. then, they scrapped 3, left mike vogel and garret hedlung, and brought in chris evans, and who's cap now? i think it's gonna be yelchin, as johnson's pressed for cyclops...

Here my problems
Aaron - Type cast as he is Kick-Ass.
Anton - Doesnt have a cool and confidant feel.
Andrew - Too old.
Frank - Pretty boy.
Josh - Ugh, in every aspect.
Alden - Eek and Eew.
Jamie FTW!!!

Its never said it like exactly, but word is that he wants to make it similar. Thats his goal apparently,as the movie didnt rely too much on CGI.
I'm hearing that both Johnson and Yelchin are both actually up for Harry.

But how would you know something like this? If true, bummer, I would prefer Aaron Johnson as Peter Parker (if NO Logan Lerman mind you) instead of that "5 short list" crap we've been subjected to.
And not to mention Anton Yelchin looks spot on Harry Osborn.

I dont think I could handle Aaron in Kick-Ass,Spider-Man and possibly X-Men,lol.
Anton, I used feel would make the best Harry Osborn, but after re-watching Charlie Bartlett, he would make an even better Spider-Man.

To me, Aaron always has that tough, leader of the pack vibe. Someone you dont want to mess with. He's more suited for Cyclops than any other character,IMO.

I wouldn't want Aaron to get it. He's the dude from Kick-Ass, and that will be typecasting for him to play another teenage superhero.
But then again, I guess the same went for Chris Evans, but at least he's had a lot of film experience between Fantastic Four and Captain America.

True, but thats because Spiderman's my favorite superhero. Also, my best friend is the GM at the local theater. I see movies for free. Movies that come out on Fridays get there by Wednesday and we always watch them Wednesday after close. I saw The Proposal before it came out because I could and I think its safe to say I had zero hype for that. I love movies and I take advantage of a free movie. Spiderman will be no different.

Honestly, it's not that he's not good for anyone, I just don't want him part of this franchise after Kick Ass. He was decent in it, but he didn't do anything so amazing or anything that another actor, who are better fits for Peter, couldn't do.
Plus, while unrelated to his talent, the whole deal of him being engaged and impregnating a 43 year old woman kinda takes me out of the movie.:csad:
I think Aaron would make a great Spider-Man but, I personally think he would make an even better Cyclops.
Eh not a fan of him as Cyclops either, but I don't really want to know of anything X-Men: First Class related. I mean the James McAvoy casting snuck it's way into my headlines, and everything that's going on in that movie is just depressing to me. :csad:

Im concerned about that. He has a lot of upcoming things. But I dont think Sony would include him if there was any scheduling conflicts that prevented him from getting the part. He might have less time on Star Trek.
LightningFlash
06-15-2010, 02:44 PM
Both Sony and Fox have included Michael Fassbender though, and there's a scheduling conflict there(in a way). And also, we've been told no one has even auditioned yet, so Sony is just saying names to get us excited. I don't think Yelchin will be Spidey anyways, just because, honestly, I think a smart man would choose Star Trek over Spider-Man anyways. There is a HUGE chance the reboot could be a big failure, and there is a HUGE chance that the next Star Trek film could be as amazing as The Wrath of Khan.
When did Sony include Michael Fassbender, you gotta link to that? It's all just more casting rumors, nothing more...that goes for Yelchin, as well.

I'm referring to Sony offering Fassbender the role for the villain in the reboot as well as Fox offering Fassbender the role of Magneto in its X-Men prequel/reboot/whatever it is (X-Men: First Class).
Yeah, but did they actually offer him a role or is this a rumor?
