Awesome news about Qui-Gon. I'm surprised they kept this a secret this long. I'm sure they film a lot of the animation months and months ago.

Maybe while Neeson's been over at Skywalker Ranch he's recorded dialogue with that moment with Yoda at the end of Revenge of the Sith, or shot his scene as force ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi. Hey I can dream can I?

As a force Ghost next to Hayden. George actually joked about maybe doing it, in the Making of Revenge of the Sith book.

I was thinking about re-writing the Prequels, since they have so much potential. Anyone would be interested in reading them?

I like the prequels as they are but there has been a few times when I wrote a few scenes to improve the story and stuff... gawd I wish I still had those files. I still have the one between Anakin and Amidala that takes place during AOTC.

And star wars galaxies is a good game. I have played it before... I stopped a few months ago but I may get back into it.

When Yoda talks about communicating with Qui-Gon at the end of ROTS, doesn't Obi-Wan act really surprised? Like he was shocked at the possibility?

Doctor Jones
01-21-2011, 05:56 PM
I want Qui Gon to just rant on and on to Obi Wan of how much he failed Anakin.

"My God... what the hell did you do to him? When I told him he was the Chosen One what did you think I meant by that? The Chosen One meaning he'll probably be a main target for Sith Lords and you should listen to him when he's troubled. Instead, you always go off a galaxy apart from him where he always seems to grow worse. He's a teenager for ****s sake."

Anyone read the sequel to ROTS? I love it. I should pick up ROTS and SOTE. Both are great books.

Great to have Qui gon back! Liam was one of the best things in TPM.

I wish I still had the scene which I re-wrote when Yoda talks to Obi Wan at the end of TPM where he lets Obi wan train Skywalker. I wrote it in a way that reflects the conversation Old Ben and Luke had in ROTJ when Ben explains that he thought he could train Anakin just as well as Yoda and that he was wrong and his pride would have made terrible consequences for the galaxy. I also hinted that Yoda had some interest in training young Anakin but to his dismay because Obi wan who had grown to like the boy and understand why Qui Gon took a special interest in him from the start, so he let Kenobi have his way but warns him of the danger that may follow during Skywalker's training. Though he did not say what those dangers would be because of how clouded his future is but regardless, Yoda will always be Obi wan's guidence if he felt troubled with his duty as a Jedi Master. ;)

Then the conversation switches from that to Count Dooku.

I just finished Red Harvest and am almost through with Death Troopers. Both are interesting, but not my favorites. Star Wars horror is still new to me.

If you're wondering about Qui-Gon being on the Clone Wars, this is what Dave Filoni posted on his facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/DaveFiloni).

Hello friends

A long standing secret has been revealed! By now you have all heard that Liam Neeson has been kind enough to return to the world of Star Wars and reprise his role as Qui-Gon Jinn. I am very greatful that he took time out from his incredibly busy schedule to appear on The Clone Wars, and very thankful for everyone at Lucasfilm that helped make his appearance happen. I understand that Qui-Gon’s appearance in The Clone Wars has many implications, and that some of you are asking “how can this be ” especially in light of the scene between Obi Wan and Yoda at the end of Revenge of the Sith where they speak about Qui-Gon. These upcoming episodes, more than any other to date, will spark curiosity and discussion. I only ask that you be patient and watch them. I look forward to hearing from you after they air. For now trust me when I say Christian Taylor (writer) and I, along with George Lucas, are very aware of the continuity surrounding Qui-Gon Jinn. George in particular, is especially conscious of it.

Let’s not forget that tonight marks the conclusion of the Nightsisters trilogy. Please tune in and enjoy what I think is an exciting finish to this arc. As I’ve said, the excitement will not stop there, and there are many surprises left for you this season. Qui-Gon Jinn is just the beginning.

The Force will be with you… always

Dave

Did anyone on the show ever actually come out and say Oppress and Maul are brothers? Otherwise we could be jumping to conclusions, and Oppress could have been sent to see some other new character.

I'm really curious to see where they're going with it, but i guess i'll just have to wait and see before i give my final opinion about it. Lucas entered into a wager with long-time friend Spielberg during the production of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Part of me wishes the animation of the Clone Wars was the same as the Force Unleashed cinematic's/ The Old Republic trailers......how awesomely epic would that have been...I love the show as it is, but it would be totally on an entire other level of awesome...

It would be beautiful.

I don't see why they don't make the Thrawn Trilogy into animated films with the same animation as Clone Wars. Or make a TV series with the Solo twins at the Jedi Academy.

Id watch it.

I'd take something...cartoon, live-action based on Shadows of the Empire...

Cartoon KOTOR? Sure. I'm not sure I read the post right but live action Shadows of the Empire? Would be cool if there wasn't any vital characters to the OT in it.

I'd like a Force Unleashed animated movie... The Clone Wars series is starting to get stale for me

I'd be okay with that. I remember, as a kid, getting a Xizor action figure and always being disappointed that he was never in any of the movies.

An early look at the finished Emperor hologram scene as will be featured in Empire:Revisited. The audio track is only temporary so the sync isn't perfect yet

the "son", is guess is his name for the time, but does anyone think he looks / modeled after Namman Cha? Another possible retcon, or backstory to a character?

What roach said :cwink:

I would love to see the Thrawn trilogy, Shadows of the Empire or KOTOR get made somehow. Oh, or also the Han Solo trilogy. Cartoons would be fine, i`m not that demanding :oldrazz:

Best guess: He will turn out to be a clone.

entirely possible...however the nightqueen mentioned he was living in the outer rim in exile

Considering Maul was powerful in the Dark Side AND only cut in half (I say only because Anakin was sliced to pieces and burned and still survived) it's possible he could survive and just be in hiding.

Well....in Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, one of the dark jedi was diced in half early on and still survived......sorry, looking for a character with a similar situation to Maul...

...so its somewhat plausible Maul survived the dice...but how he survived the fall?

I figure the same way Jedi land safetly from great heights. Just using the Force to do a slow fall before they hit.

They really need to be more creative & not do obvious plots like Ventress wanting to kill Dooku because we know that won't happen

Yeah, considering what happened to Vader and Grievous, it's entirely possible for Maul to have lived. He could've barely been concious enough to use the Force in some way. Sidious surely could have sensed what happened to Maul, same as he did with Vader on Mustafar. He probably had spies on Naboo and sent them to recover Maul.

I am looking forward to the rematch with Obi-Wan & I hope Anakin gets in on some action on the guy who killed Qui-Gon. No way they bring Darth Maul back without this happening

Maul could get his rematch with Obi, and Anakin could go up against his bro.

I just can't wait to see Maul and Obi-Wan when they see eachother again.

In a way, if this is going the way we might think, it's good for the character. Especially Maul fans. He didn't have much to do in TPM (understandable) but here it could give us more on him, which is great.

And I would love to see a 14 year old Han. If they ever go to Correlia...

Nope. I haven't. Anyone read the Battle of Jabiim? It came with two figures... Obi Wan kenobi and a clone trooper.
