The ANYONE/ANYTHING Goes Battle thread !!

Here's a brand new versus/battle thread that's going to be different from anything else on the boards!

There's NO restrictions on who can be involved in the matches. Could be characters from Marvel, DC, Image, BOOM... OR from any other popular media like movies, tv, etc, OR even a real person! For example, we could have the HULK vs Godzilla! Or we could have Rambo vs Batman vs Predator in a jungle!Anything goes!

There's also NO restrictions on numbers! Could be one-on-one, three-on-one, four all against one another, WHATEVER!

And, just for more fun and twists, the battle could have any variety of stipulations or be in any setting!

And don't worry, I've messaged notice to those running the Marvel vs Marvel, DC vs DC and Marvel vs DC threads to let them know my plans here and asking them to let me know if they have an issue any of the matches, and I've heard back from one so far who enthusiastically supported my getting this thread going. So no toes should be stepped on.

New Matches should be up every 24-48 hours, so check back often :yay:

Setting: Thick jungle
Stipulations: Rambo has only his bowie knife. Batman has only his costume, 3 batarangs and a knife (no other gadgets). The Predator can cloak and has his forearm blades.

Each combatant has 10 hours of prep to fashion traps and weapons and to strategize, and Bats and Rambo know that the Predator can cloak, but other than that no one knows anything about anyone else (eg. neither Rambo nor Bats knows the other is a "good guy").

I gotta disagree on both of them.

Batman is definitely good at adapting, but cities are the primary environment that he's used to and trained for. Rambo, on the other hand, is primarily trained and used to jungle environments.

I'm voting for Rambo, based on this being in his kind of environment and based on Arnold's character having beaten a predator, so I think Rambo could pull it off.


And I'm voting for Pitt. Professor Hulk had more limited strength than a number of his other incarnations, so I think Pitt could match him for strength, and beat him in viciousness, willingness to kill, and with his claws that rip through mostly anything.

In some cases Ryu's projectiles will help him keep his opponent at a distance and serve as an advantage..this however won't be one of those cases. My guess is he won't have much luck hitting Rand, who will maneuver his way in close, and it will come down to who's the better hand-to-hand fighter..which would be Iron Fist.

The round begins similar to the JLA/Avengers crossover, with all of them on the ground, with Superman surrounded by the angry Avengers, except that this time Superman is at full strength.

Vision and Cap are dust from the jump, so this boils down to:

Superman vs Iron Man, Hercules, and Wonder Man

Tony's fought Sentry, Hercules has the Strength and Durability to rock his jaw, and Wonder Man in Ion form is damn tough to take down by anyone.

I say they manage to beat him to within an inch of his life or in other words, the point where he stops playing with the kid gloves and sees his life in danger and then he wrecks them.

I agree on that too, except that I think that Vision would be able to escape since he could go intangible.

Technically Luke was a complete retard in the movie cus he took out the deathstar by accidentally killing one of the Vader's henchmen's tie fighter...so I'm goin with Godzilla on this one.

Supes wins hands down...unless we're talkin about the current Hercules who has 100x more power cus he's a skyfather now? Even before his upgrade he was on even terms with Thor though so...doesn't that just mean he can take down Supes the same way Thor did in the cross-over?

Problem there is I'm not sure that Vision's durability would allow him to survive it. Even if he went super dense, I'm not sure it would hurt Superman. For the second match...I think it will be closer as opposed to the complete stomp-o-rama that Supes had. I'll say Wonder Woman takes it..partially because of her speed..partially just because she's just that d**n tough/durable.

Pulsar might wind up being the wild card here..if she can avoid getting caught among the damage, she might last the longest..but I'll still go with Wondy winning in the end.

Wonder Woman is FAR stronger than any of them, nearly on a par with Superman so the Avengers strength isn't a factor. Her fighting skills are equal to or greater than most if not all of them so that's not a deciding factor. She's also faster than all of them except Photon, so speed isn't a major factor for the Avengers.

The tipping point is Photon...she can remain intangible in her energy form and blast away at WW with concussive blasts. WW can't beat what she can't touch.

*And no, Photon couldn't tie WW up with her lasso because she's intangible in her energy forms...if she tried that, WW would turn her into a gooey paste on the ground.

She has picked up and used solid objects while in her energy form before, most notable in this case in the JLA Avengers cross over where flash and quicksilver were racing around trying to take those whatevers from the other team members. And I think given the levels of power and variety of powers she's against, Wonder Woman gets beaten here. She-Hulk is gonna be at least strong enough to hold her own for a while. Ms Marvel's got strength and energy blasts. Wonder Woman won't be prepared for Wasp who will be able to get in close and zap her in the face as a distraction. And, as mentioned before, Pulsar's got the speed and energy blasts. Spider-Woman probably won't be much help here, but hey, every fight needs a little cannon fodder right ;)

I was thinking of the older Batman cartoon that featured Batmite regularly when I sugested this match. He wasn't so over the top powered then. So it would be two top notch street level heroes and their sidekicks that usualy get in the way more than help! I vote for Blue Falcon and Dynomut because Dynomut usualy came through in the end where as Batman would have to find a way to win despite batmites continued screw ups!

See I think Egon or Ray would figure it out. When someone is possessed they act out of character. Since they are dealing with that sort of thing on a regular basis, I think both of them would notice if any of them were acting out of line. And since Deadman can't posess 2 people at once, one of them would be left unpossessed and probably figure it out.

Ummm..... I'm thinking that your vote is for Hawkman? I'm not sure, but I think that was your vote.

As for myself, I think Archangel would win this. He's got WAY less experience than the other too, but his speed and firepower wins it. He can fire blades at the other guys in the air, and I don't think they could dodge that many blades at once. He'd at least puncture some wings. Not to mention he has steel, bladed wings opposed to their flesh and blood ones, so any wing on wing contact makes him win automatically.

Aw what the hell, I'll go Sentry (with or without the Void). I don't think the magic lighting from Marvel would affect him like it does Supes and he's viscious enough to not hold back at all.

I like Gladiator but I think his confidence (and thus power) would wane when he realized everyone involved was just as powerful as he is and some of his most powerful shots are basically shrugged off.

I don't know enough about Supreme to make a good judgement for or against him and I think Plutonian is just an afterthought.

lol. Me too. I'm also voting Sentry. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts:

Gladiator- Like was mentioned above, he'd lose confidence and lose. I think he'd get killed, literally.

Captain Marvel- He's got one major disadvantage: he's not willing to be lethal and isn't as vicious as 3 of his 4 opponents

Plutonian- He's got the raw power, but so does everyone else here. Judging from the issues of Irredeemable, there isn't really many challenges on his own power level that he's had to face. That's a disadvantage for sure in this fight.

Supreme- He's a lethal, brutal beast. More than willing to literally rip any opponent completely apart. However he pretty much shows no strategy whatsoever.

The Sentry- He's AT LEAST as powerful as his opponents, but has the experience against equal opponents that Plutonian lacks, and the intellect that Supreme lacks. Plus, he's got the big wild card of the Void, which could come out and would clean house.

So, for the majority, i vote Sentry.

Goku, because distance attacks like a Kamayamaya trump heat vision. I think Superman would let one hit him, relying on his invunerability to save him, and it would hit hard enough to KO him, or weaken him enough for Guku to get in and knock him out. Even if it were just a fight of martial arts, Guku has Kal-El beat there too. He's nearly or stronger than Superman, and he has martial arts training.

And I think the Turtles win, mostly to group hit and run tactics. They can draw each one of the Wrecking Crew out and take them out 1 at a time. None of those bruisers are terribly bright, and Leo is a great tactician. Brains > brawn.

Goku's a planet buster as a normal Super Saiyain, at Level 2 he had instant transmission (teleportation) and fast as light travel in addition to grossly enhanced blasts and physical power that pushed him beyond planet buster. He's better fighter period. Close in and he can throw the blows just as fast with possibly greater power.

If the battle is in the sewers, I think the turtles are smart enough to get the Wrecking Crew to bring the house down on top of themselves and not to try to go toe-to-toe with them. Heck, they might even be able to get a few of them to take each other out, using ninjitsu tricks to sucker them into thinking one of them is attacking the other 3. As I recall, the Crew isn't exactly a harmonious group to begin with.

Yes, The Crow is immortal unless his familiar gets hurt.

Punisher may spray bullets but he genrally aimes for his oponent. The familiar could be anywhere including blocks away but rarely, if ever, sits in the line of fire. Most likely it would be overhead or behind Punisher giving him away. The Crow can see through his familiars eyes. As far as the Punisher knows it's just some bird if he even notices it's there!

There was a stipulation on what Punisher had for weapons though! If he sprays his bullets he's out of ammo before he figures anything out about the Crow and he has no explosives! Oh and by the way, Crow can just walk through the bullet fire right up to Punisher which would keep Punisher aiming at him. When he gets to Frank he'll stop for a second and laugh manically in Franks face while his bullet wounds heal faster than wolverine on steroids and then stick his knife in franks chest. Sorry but this one really is that one sided!
