Are Mayor McCheese and Big Mac related? Big Mac is Mayor McCheese's shunned, bastard child, who was swept underneath the rug during the last political election. It's a gritty, delicious world they live in.:oldrazz:

2.) The Burger King killed them all.

So after reading through this thread I did some research on the Grimace to answer the age-old question, "What the **** is the Grimace?" Apparently, he was originally a four-armed monster that stole milkshakes and sodas and was originally called "Evil Grimace." And then, somewhere along the line, he lost a pair of arms and became retarded.

you've probably have seen this but here is the original video showing this incident
A security video from a McDonald's in Ohio shows a woman punching two restaurant employees and smashing a drive-thru window because she couldn't get Chicken McNuggets.
The tantrum caught on tape in Toledo earlier this year shows the customer reaching through the drive-thru window, slugging one worker and then another. She then grabs a bottle out of her car and tosses it through the glass window before speeding off.
It happened early on New Year's Day. Police say Melodi Dushane was angry that McNuggets weren't being served, because it was breakfast time.
Dushane says she was drunk at the time. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail last month and ordered to pay McDonald's for the broken window.
The video was released Monday when it became public record.

I worked at Burger King one time and me and some friends were joking. The lady at the window thought we were laughing at her. We weren't, but she started cussing at us. It's the reason why the McDonald's characters were retired to begin with.
Actually it wasn't. They were taken "off market" after a long court battle between Sid and Marty Krofft and the McDonalds people. Seems MacD's stole many concepts off of the brothers and refused them some well earned moneys.

I love how McDonalds get flak and tagged as the unhealthiest of fast food restaurants but more and more studies are showing it's one of the healthiest compared to others such as Taco Bell, Applebee's, Red Robin, etc.
It is the Wal-Mart affect. They are the big cheese so they are more picked on.
I got in a huge debate with a friend because he would shop at Target, but no Wal-Mart. I tried explaining to him that that Target does the same sh**. They just don't get caught.
McDonalds isn't special in the unhealthiness of there food. Plus the whole concept of free will is lost on most people. Just don't eat it. Pretty simple really. & Parents that feed there children so much that they get obese. Well they should be charged with Child abuse.

I really can't eat anything at McDonalds except the chicken nuggets and the fries. Everything else just turns my stomach.
Wendy's is my fast food guilty pleasure (no salt on the fries, plskkthks). I try to limit myself to once a month. The only fast food place I regularly visit is Subway. There are ways to eat healthy at fast food places, but Subway makes it much easier. Because you can tell them what and what not to put on the sammich as they are making it, as well as what type of bread.
You try to do that at McDonalds and you have to wait 3 years to get your food.....

Also, she claims that she didn't keep the plate in one place, and that when she took the plate down from a shelf (or something), the food would shift around. It's actually a plausible explanation, though it is suspicious.
Look at the creases in the top of the bun. They seem to match up, even if the bun's relative position changes. That would be pretty damn hard to replicate.

so the foods bad and now the want to take away the kids toys as well
Let it never be said that San Francisco won’t push the envelope for enforcing green legislation. The latest is a move being made by San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors Land Use Committee to limit (ie ban) the use of children’s toy giveaways in meals that include high levels of fat, sodium and calories. Sure, that ordinance really applies to any restaurant that participates in the practice of getting kids hooked on “comfort food” with toys, but clearly McDonald’s and the historically kid-adored Happy Meal are the primary target.
McDonald’s food is unhealthy. This we know. We also know that McDonald’s makes a huge profit margin from kids. According to Ecolocalizer, McDonald’s takes in between forty and fifty BILLION dollars a year from kids under twelve.
The company then takes in another estimated $670 BILLION from family purchases. That would be why, despite the fact that we’re all trying to eat more healthily and stop childhood obesity in its tracks, McDonald’s actually reported year over year profit increase.
The Land Use Committee (what is that even?) voted 3-0 to move the proposed ordinance forward, and the full Board of Supervisors will vote on it later this month. In what may be political pressure, mayor Gavin Newsom has said he would veto any such bill. We have an opinion, but we’ll keep it to ourselves. However, it’s possible that that opinion involves it not being McDonald’s fault that parents feed their kids poorly and that more effective legislation would be that which made healthier food more accessible.
McDonald’s, however, has gone into aggressive mode (which is rare), taking out a full page ad in the San Francisco Chronicle to do damage control and sending executives to San Francisco for the ever-sketchy “behind closed doors meetings.”
However, the ordinance does specify that if fast food restaurants increased the number of fruits and vegetables and limited the calories in “kids’ meals”, toy marketing would be acceptable.
A recent study showed that kids who participate in growing and making their food develop healthier eating habits. A personal study (ie my own childhood) shows that it takes a long time to outgrow the comfort food connection to a flattened McDonald’s cheeseburger like the kind you got in your happy meal. This legislation seems to address the problem rather than offer a solution to the need for healthy food for kids. However, if nothing else, it’s raising attention

They are tired after a long day at work, don't want to fix supper or spend a lot of money on eating out, and McDonald's requires them to do neither. And then they sit there and think about it after the fact and feel guilty about what they fed their kids. But do they make an effort to change their ways? No, because obviously they should be trying to change McDonald's instead. Why be a responsible parent when you can force a fast food chain into doing it for you?

If those parents are really concerned, they could've ordered some salads for their kids to eat instead of Happy Meals. But they knew that their kids won't eat it (and neither will the parents), so they chose to complain about McD instead.
