I have a question though. How do you get it down smooth. I'm afraid to let my scissors/razor get that close.

You can use clippers to get it down to a certain minmal length, then you will have to use a blade (if you want the are clanly shaved). Myself, I try to keep it trimmed to about 1/8" to 1/4" (the pubic hair area), and I shave my balls as well as the lower part of the shaft.

Don't woory about the sharp objects as YOU are the one in control. Take it easy the first time so that you won't accidentally nick yourself and you should be fine.

And it should taper towards the end.

That's kind of the same sanitary argument people have abuot foreskin. One way might be a little more sanitary, but in all honesty, if the person washed properly, it wouldn't really matter either way.

See, I can't stand having any less than shaving. It really doesn't take much effort once you get used to it... Especially if you get the right... "Routine" [for lack of a better word] going.

Either way, hair down there bothers the **** outta me.

i'm very, VERY fortunate in that i only have hair on the outer labia and the mons... i can reach it all with a razor and i just keep the front part trimmed with scissors (i don't like being totally bare, i look young enough as it is. seriously.)

i've never once cut them with a razor, and think it would actually be pretty hard to do it. Bit of advice if you try though, instead of using normal shave cream/gel, use hair conditioner instead. For some reason it works much better.
