Oh GOD, I hope so, but at the same time, I hope not. I (like the others) want to see him in the suit, but not until the Finale. If an official picture comes our way, it will be next to impossible NOT to look at it. I don't know. I'm torn!

Well if he doesn't wear the suit. Easiest thing to do is have him in a regular suit. With a standard blue tshirt under suit with classic red/yellow superman shirt. Sorta like ew cover a few weeks ago with cavill just wearing a s shield tshirt.

That too, but this role just wasn't for her imo. She's a good actress and she's pretty but she's no Lois Lane. I never liked Margot Kidder's portrayal either. Many people say she's the quintessential Lois Lane, well I don't see it. Teri and Erica are the best ones imo.

I have to agree, I think Kate Bosworth gets way to much flack for being a bad Lois Lane. I blame the writing and direction of the movie more then the actual actress for the mess Lois Lane was in Superman Returns. For all we know if they actually had a good script she could have been a great Lois Lane

I agree, Bosworth had potential to be a great Lois had the story been written that way . In fact she did a film I can't remember the name at the moment that the character she played showed alot of the characteristic Lois Lane is known for .

On the other hand "Smallville" did a wonderful job in showing the progression of Lois attraction and admiration to Clark that ultimately won her over and transformed into the iconic romance.

Well I believe that the next woman to take up the role of the Daily Planet's best intrepid reporter : Lois Lane will do an phenomenal job .

I'm hoping that Clark in the reboot film isn't the extreme bumbling idiot as a Mild Mannered Reporter but is more of compitant reporter (like in STAS, Lois & Clark:TAOS and Smallville) where he openly competes with Lois showing that he has the potential to become a great reporter . Which Lois will admire but will mask her feeling by playfully bantering with him all the while slowly falling in love with him without fully realizing it.

I love this

My favorite element - it changes. The last few seasons, as soon as Lois and Clark are hanging out more and more, that dynamic, to me, is a lot of fun. There was an episode where Lois was reading for a newscast this season, and to me, that was one of the best episodes they've done, because the chemistry between Erica and Tom is off the chart.

Exactly. Only Kal-El flew in the 4th season, not Clark. He was under Kryptonian influence.

The only real time he flew was in Lazarus. He briefly had it in Supergirl when Kara tried to teach him how to fly.

The virtual reality flying didn't really count and we saw only future Clark flying in Homecoming. Clark only hovered in the first and final season.

What we need to see is Clark flying for real on his own accord. :super:

The way that I like to explain that Jonathan was the only one to pay the price from getting Kryptonian powers is that he was having health problems that he didnt know he had, While others that have received the powers were healthy. He could have already without knowing it had problems with his heart and when he received the powers it only worsened those problems.

As for the toll it took on Jonathan, I think it was different because he went to Jor-El and sort of made a "deal" by saying he'd do whatever it takes to save bring Clark back. The others, however, were not Jor-El's doing, since one was with Brainiac's preparation, while the other was a freak accident.

I agree that the first time Clark flies is on his own accord and alone. It should also be somewhere between Kent, Booster, or Dominion. Prophecy is where Lois gets powers. Flight shouldn't be a Clois moment, but rather Clark's moment. I remember someone tweeted the CW about Clark flying in Booster, but they didn't give it away.

Geoff Johns has written the Superman comics and cares about Superman, but he doesn't care for SV Clark who doesn't fly and wear the suit. In Booster, he has Clark become the mild-mannered reporter. :super:

Legion saw the LOSH defeated Persuader and stopped a Brainiac-infected Chloe all by themselves without Clark. Absolute Justice saw Clark investigating the JSA and Icicle until the climax of the two-parter where he teamed up with MM, GA, and JSA defeat Icicle.

I'm right there with you. I have always hated that she lives in Smallville but I knew I probably was alone. But living in The Talon just irked me to no end. I had hoped that her home blowing up(that's not a spoiler is it):doh:

I loved having Lois living on the Kent farm we got some great Lois and Clark moments. Then when she officially moved in after the Talon's destruction (Thank you Rick Flag) it made sense that since their relationship had moved on towards a solid couple that she would live with him on the Kent farm.

now that their spending more time in Metropolis and working together at the Daily Planet it make sense for them to get an apartment in the city as they begin their new lives as a married couple .

The scenes that bookend the episode with Clark and Lois at the Planet and then their closing moments at the farm were superb, without a false bit of dialogue and featuring a real connection between Tom and Erica. In the run-up to their likely wedding in the finale, it’s terrific to see just how well these two work together and give them some quiet – though life-changing – moments before the storm.

The one word that screamed out in these two scenes – as well as in the scene with Clark L before she realized the truth – was ‘partnership’. I think Erica, especially, knows how to approach the intimacy of their shared life from the point of individuality. This felt like the same headstrong, driven Lois we’ve always known who recognizes that she has a strong and caring partner in her life. She didn’t have any hang-ups about their relationship, which would’ve felt entirely out of place, but was vulnerable in regard to the sense and loss of “home”. Instead of running away, though, she looked for a solution and helped Clark feel comfortable in his own. Tom brought his ‘A’ game and Erica was right there with him.

Tom has grown so much as an actor, especially in the last few seasons. His ability to so easily transition from sweet-natured, inspiring hero to ruthless, cold-hearted villain proves to me he'll have a long career after Smallville ends in a few weeks.


I feel similarly about Erica Durance. It occurred to me watching "Kent (http://www.tvfanatic.com/shows/smallville/episodes/season_10/kent/)" just how much I'm going to miss her on my TV screen each week. As this series has progressed, not only has she become more and more radiant, she has also developed into a very fine actress in her own right. Her transition from excited to quizzical to terrified as she realized the true identity of Clark Luthor demonstrated just how far she has come since she first took Smallville frantically by storm. She's more nuanced now, more comfortable in her skin and it shows.


In particular was this true in the last scene between she and Tom on the porch. I admit, I choked up a bit, as I tend to do, when Lois tugged at Clark and said "This Smallville is my home." There was more love reflected between them in that one scene than between Clark and Lana their entire relationship. The chemistry between Tom and Erica has synchronized to perfection in this final season and they have done unprecedented work in portraying exactly why Clark and Lois are destined to be together.

Yeah I agree. And I never understand the people who think Clois was rushed. The feelings have ALWAYS been there, just just only really obviously came out in seaons 8 and 9.

It's completely natural to real life. It's just the proposal seemed a bit early in the season to some, but whatever.

And yeah I agree that Tom and Erica acted their socks off in Kent, especially at the end. It was a very heartfelt moment between the two.

Could be. I always thought she wore it so that Clark could have an extra pair in case his broke or went missing, like how in Homecoming she gave Clark the glasses because he didn't have them.

Could be. I always thought she wore it so that Clark could have an extra pair in case his broke or went missing, like how in Homecoming she gave Clark the glasses because he didn't have them.

Speaking of which, I was kind of hoping to see Lois do the glasses thing with her hands that she did in Homecoming whenever Clark wasn't wearing them.

For some reason that really annoyed me when she did it.

Oh that scene I loved. I thought you were talking about the opening scene in Salvation where Lois adjusted her glasses on the side. It's really minor but for some reason it annoyed me.

I agree. It was awkward and felt out of place. Extremely forced, IMO.
