BATMAN: I needs to be someone new. A classic villain from the comics who hasn´t been used in any of the movies. Someone who can get the fans excited again, really believe this is a fresh take on the franchise.

Good job. I hated Waterworld but I didn't mind the Postman all that much. Sure it's badly paced and overlong but it actually showed me something I'd wanted to see for a long time, a post-apocalyptic America that had believable problems and wasn't populated by zombies, cannibals or flat out weirdos. It was like America went back to the days of the wild west and I dug it.

Well, now that I can look at it from a distance... Damn, that show sucked for at least five or six of its frikking ten seasons! I mean, at first, okay, it was a prequel about the "formative years", living with the Kents, learning to use the powers and stuff, then at one point it became "the whole frikking Superman mythos except he never wears the suit, doesn´t fly - although a buncha other characters do both things -, and gets called a stupid name like "The Blur"".

SUPERMAN: Right, I heard that Hal´s father´s death in the movie is portrayed as just an accident, not the heroic decision that gives Hal a grudge on Carol´s father in the comics.

BATMAN: It´s as if I had watched my parents die in a car crash.

SUPERMAN: Or if Jor-El had never noticed anything wrong with Krypton and I just happened to be in a rocket when it blew up.

BATMAN: Exactly.
