Here's a brand new versus/battle thread that's going to be different from anything else on the boards!

There's NO restrictions on who can be involved in the matches. Could be characters from Marvel, DC, Image, BOOM... OR from any other popular media like movies, tv, etc, OR even a real person! For example, we could have the HULK vs Godzilla! Or we could have Rambo vs Batman vs Predator in a jungle!Anything goes!

There's also NO restrictions on numbers! Could be one-on-one, three-on-one, four all against one another, WHATEVER!

And, just for more fun and twists, the battle could have any variety of stipulations or be in any setting!

And don't worry, I've messaged notice to those running the Marvel vs Marvel, DC vs DC and Marvel vs DC threads to let them know my plans here and asking them to let me know if they have an issue any of the matches, and I've heard back from one so far who enthusiastically supported my getting this thread going. So no toes should be stepped on.

New Matches should be up every 24-48 hours, so check back often :yay:

Mega Man can only ever take the powers of other robots and only after he defeats them. Non-canonical crap (MvC's ending, the Ruby-Spears cartoon) do NOT count. :o :o

DDR had great novetly by adding missions to a kart racer.
MK64's damnable cheating AI. Seriously, no matter how much of a lead you gain, the CPU will always be right on your ass. Really. Just change your map option to the grid option and watch as the 2nd place and 3rd place CPUs gain the same speed boost to keep up with you no matter how fast that Star and Gold Mushroom is accelerating you.
DKR's tracks and music were just so much better.

Hmm...this was supposed to be a difficult match-up when I 1st thought it up, cause one is a virus who can absorb Anti-Venom on contact, while the others are two beings who can cure/kill Mercer on contact. But on my way to work today I realized that this fight will either result in Ati-Venom winning or Mercer just barely killing the AV substance before dying himself.

Pretty much its a battle bewteen a virus and an anti-virus. If either touches the other, I'm assuming Mercer will be the most affected negatively. If he succeeds in absorbing AV, it would probably kill him immediately, and AV would win by default since Mercer would have died via the Anti-Venom substance before Mercer could finish off Eddie, thus with Eddie left, AV wins.

Hmph. It was such a difficult make-ya-think battle up til today. I had fun thinking about it.

So Eddie would win. He may lose the "symbiote" in the end, but Mercer will be erradicated/"cured" (killed) one way or the other.

We're talking about a guy whose nerve punches and durabiity have been strong enough to tangle with Spidey and a human weapon in an environment that really suits both of them quite well (but leans slightly more to Kraven).

I'll hold off for a bit nd think about it because I don't want to go back and forth switching my vote between the two, but at the moment I'm thinking Kraven.

With that said, I would say Dre would win based off the first movie, but Daniel went up against a Karate blackbelt in a fight to death and won. I'm working a lot right now in the new pastor job that I got, so I can't guarantee how often I'll post a new match, but I'll do my best and most times will be able to probably do a new one every 24-36 hrs.

As much as I love Pan..... I think Zorro is a Far more skilled Fighter, swordsman and is an ace with strategy.... but what pan has is his ability to fly,his unpredictability and childish ways that make his fighting style something Zorro has never encountered..... Ill take Zorro in this one

I'm going to go with Jason - I think he'll be more durable and with/without the machete, he can still improvise other weapons. (Ex: if Croc climbs into a sleeping bag for instance...I predict a WHAM!!! up against a tree in his future..lol!)

Croc probably has the edge in strength and might be faster, but Jason will keep on comin' and I think he'll wear down the Killer...

Dundee and Dragon. Quint is good in the water, but probably out of his element in the woods. Dundee would probably have so many traps set for these guys, they'd probably be dead before they knew what hit them.

Nothing against Luke, but Fin-head is someone I would pick to go toe to toe with Hulk. While Hulk woukd win the fight, Dragon would probably hold his own for several days.

FF wins easy. No one on the Incredibles has Reed's intellect, Thing has gone toe to toe with the Hulk quite often (yes he lost but still), Torch could just go SuperNova on the girl and Susan can force field the speedster kid and overpower the girl.

By "year one" are you talking about the first year of the FF? If so, Thing was only at 5 ton strength, Susan was more about invisibility than anything else (still learning about her force fields) and Johnny was still trying to master his powers. Of course Reed is still Reed but I think it levels out the playing field more than some people are thinking.

I'll throw a vote to The Incredibles.

The weakness of the Incredibles is they have no one to match Reeds intellect.

However the Incredible's powers, particularly Violet's and Jack-Jack's, are the real threat.

I think Sue, sees Jack-Jack as a cute baby, and picks him up, and turns invisible to keep him out of harm's way. Jack-Jack morphs into his demon form, and lights out for Sue.

Johnny probably couldn't hit Dash with fireballs, but he could put up a flame cage and trap him. However I think Dash could get out by vibrating so fast that he extinguishes the flames of the cage. Then he could run around Johnny, doing the reverse vortex thing, and suck all the air away from him. Johnny without oxygen, is an unconscious super hero.

The Thing could probably hold his own vs Mr Incredible, but once Elasta-Girl or Violet jumps in, it's either nap time with a force field around his head, or Elasta-Girl wraps him up enough for Mr Incredible to deliver the knock out punch. However, if Reed was able to wrap up Mr Incredible, and Thing was able to somehow overpower him, they might have a chance, but it's still a numbers game, and the Incredibles would be ahead at this point. But Reed and Ben are a pretty formidable team.

Jack-Jack could probably burn Mr Fantastic, if Reed was silly enough to pick him up after seeing what happened to Sue. Since Reed's a genius, I doubt he'd do that. Dash would be too fast to catch, but probably couldn't hurt Reed. Elasta-Girl and Mr Fantastic would be a draw. Mr Incredible, if he's still conscious, probably couldn't hurt Reed either.

But I do think Violet could encase Reed in a bubble, and compress it down till he's not able to breathe. And while Reed is terribly smart, I don't think his power set is able to directly hurt anyone on the Incredibles' team. He might be able to slow down Mr Incredible, but everyone else on the team he really wouldn't be effective against. Unless he has some sort of device that allows him to nullify The Incredibles' powers, Reed just can't physically do much against the other team.

Finally, if Ben wasn't taken out by the team of Mr Incredible, and Elasti-Girl, I think her and Jack-Jack put him away. Elasti-Girl plays "Catch the baby" with Ben. When he catches Jack-Jack, the baby turns into his metal form, throwing the Thing off balance. Elasti-Girl, then wraps herself around Ben's head, and it's lights out for the Blue-eyed Thing.

I'm going with the Incredibles. If Sue had her force fields, it might be a more even match up. But even then Jack-Jack's powers are largely undocumented, and would probably provide the edge.
