I found it kinda weird that Enchantress had a casting thread and Executioner didn't, so here's the Executioner casting thread.

I'm leaning towards Kevin Durand, I might be in the minority for this, but I don't really want The Rock to have this role.

I see where you're coming from, having seen Robin Hood, and Durand is taller than Hemsworth too.

Indeed and something similar to his artificial Fred Dukes muscles in X-Men Origins: Wolverine would look good even better on him as Executioner.

^^^ Oh hell yes, I might even put him over Kevin Durand, but I don't want Executioner to tower over Thor THAT much in the movie.

Nathan's face does look ALOT more like the Executioner's though, put those two black stripes on the top of his head and they'd almost look identical.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson! He is charismatic and he draws a lot of attention. Go for it Marvel. By the way he is a beast!

Since the Thor film broke the "color" barrier with Heimdal, I'm going to say Terry Cruz for Executioner - although I'd rather see him as Luke cage.

Nathan Jones looks incredible but Cruz has the acting chops to be mean, funny and tender. Ba pa pa pa pa pa, power!

The idea of Jones is cool; I thought the helmets were awesome on the movie and hope they'll recreate his from the Kirby Days.

Of course not - just using those traits to illustrate that Cruz has range as an actor vs. just being a wall of muscle. I'm no longer concerened with race when it comes to the Asgardians since the film did a good job of establishing them as a multi-racial group of advanced beings. We see ethnicity in the "Odin's hall" crowd at the beginning, among the Asgardian soldiers and I'm pretty sure in the final banquet. I'm color blind on casting from here in.

I would prefer someone who is an actor first and muscle mass second. Every actor can gain muscles with the right trainer.

Russell Crowe is too expensive of an actor for a role this small, but I think an unknown Australia actor would be great for this role.

Plus Executioner is exactly eight inches taller than Thor in the comics as well, Thor is 6'6 while Executioner is 7'2.

Rory McCann - Plays Sandor Clegane on Game of Thrones. He isn't as tall as Nathan Jones(only 6'6) but camera angles can make him look bigger if need be. Hemsworth is only 6'3 anyway, Very powerful and imposing in the episodes he gets a chance to be in. I'm sure he can easily wield an Axe due to his GoT part.

He prolly can act better than the Rock and you don't need be a hell of an actor to play a bruiser like Executioner.
