I find this odd, considering they're members of the Avengers.
Is it a case of too much star-power and too much story clutter?
Is it because Spider-Man gets his own movie in 2012 too?
Might we expect a cameo from Andrew Garfield (the new Spidey) or a cameo
from Hugh Jackman?

Pretty much pointless thread, but to answer why they aren't in: Wolverine is owned by 20th Century Fox while Spidey's character rights are owned by Sony.

Also, the movie seems to be going by the actual Avengers, not the New Fantastic Four version we have today.

The better question would be; Why were they Avengers in the comics at all?

I can't tell if you're serious..
As a general rule, if someone has an avvy of Batman bending Robin over the Batmobile..... that person means serious buisness.

... Why isn't this a legitimate question?

... Why isn't this a legitimate question?
Cause it's common knowledge around these parts that Sony owns the movie rights to Spidey, and Fox owns the movie rights to Wolverine.
