Could it take place after X3?

Jackman's getting noticeably older and since this is going to be a stand-alone film.. could it appropriately take place after the events in the X-Men films?

I think if it's a well-made movie, it would be interesting if at the end of it he goes back to the X-Men-- re-sparking the X-Men series.

Again, stand-alone story until the very end where we see him leave Japan for New York. Maybe even with a light hint at a villain or story for the future X-Men films. Then cut to black. :up: or :down ???

well in all honesty, it should visually not be connected to the x men movies.

Darren A. was saying that the film he wanted to do would have NO CONNECTION to anything that came before. it would be a "one off" so i think they should follow that instead of making a prequel/sequel side story - confusing time line.

there are too many continuity errors already.

i think it should be set in a more realistic world visually it should be obvious that this is not a sequel.
