Figgins would be total zombie lunch.

Aesop Rocks

Oh for sure. lmao

Santana would die before she ever let Brittany die, too.

Sawyer
08-21-2011, 01:22 AM
Emma would probably shoot herself the second she laid her eyes on the zombies. They're just too dirty.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:22 AM
I see Kurt being a survivor, but no one HUGE or anything like that. Blaine too. Only real people I literally saw dying would probably be Tina, Will, and probably Quinn.

Quinn would mostly likely die due to a human more than a zombie.

Quinn and Rachel would probably get killed by one of their teammates. Rachel would probably be crippled by someone (*cough*Santana*cough*) and left to distract the zombies while the rest escape.

I don't see Kurt being a leader, but I can see him surviving a lot longer than people expected him to, with Blaine, Burt, Carole, and possibly Finn in tow, or at least as far as he can get them. Burt's heart and Finn's stupidity are liabilities. But I can see at least Kurt and Blaine clinging together and surviving a long time.

I see the two main groups being Beiste's and Sue's. And btw, in the survivalist military dictatorship Sue creates, Becky is totally her loyal lieutenant.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 01:25 AM
I really don't see Santana being that way. Sure she's a ruthless *****, but she's not that bad. I see Rachel dying due to her own bad decisions.

I could see Burt naturally trying to BE that leader, but just can't do it. Kurt and Blaine would stick around for a while, to be honest. Probably the longest. I could see Finn and Carole going before Burt or Kurt.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:25 AM
Emma would probably shoot herself the second she laid her eyes on the zombies. They're just too dirty.

:hehe:

Oh, poor hapless Emma. It'd be better for her to just put herself out of her own misery ASAP, it'd only get inestimably worse for her from then on.

I can see Santana dying for Brittany, and Burt figuring he's a liability with his heart and sacrificing himself for Kurt, Carole, and Finn in some badass Papa Bear fashion.

Actually I can see Will attempting some valiant self-sacrifice to protect the kids, but actually tripping over his gun or not setting the grenade off right and getting ineptly mauled to death by a horde of zombies.

Sawyer

I wonder how the asians would fare...

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:26 AM
Eh, I think it depends on the circumstances. If it was between Rachel and Brittany, Rachel's going down.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 01:27 AM
I actually could see the team being split down the middle on some big choices and Santana just tells Brittany that there just isn't anything left for them there, that the "family" Brittany had once called them before was broken beyond repair. I could see Brittany and Santana wondering off and living by themselves and surviving. Probably even riding the entire thing out together, too.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:28 AM
I wonder how the asians would fare...

Mike would go out to fight the zombies with his kung-fu moves and either make it or die in heroic fashion, while Tina would sob hysterically.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 01:29 AM
I see Mike living for a long, long, long time. Him and Puck would probably live the longest.

Let's not forget Mercedes. What say you?

Sawyer
08-21-2011, 01:31 AM
I just want Jacob Ben Isreal to be eaten alive. Slowly.

Aesop Rocks

Mercedes stays around for a while, no doubt. She tries to be the moral compass of the group.

I just want Jacob Ben Isreal to be eaten alive. Slowly.

Nah, I see him taking his own life.

Schlosser85

I see him being shot or thrown to the zombies by Puck after Jacob trips someone Puck cares about to save himself.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:46 AM
I think Rachel would die in some hilariously tragicomic fashion involving her getting herself killed through overly dramatic bad decisions. Trying to repel the zombies through the power of her singing, or something.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 01:46 AM
I see Quinn murdering Jacob in cold blood, God knows the poor girl was going to snap sooner or later

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:51 AM
I can see Quinn's fragile grip on sanity completely dying and she becomes something similar to what Sue becomes on a smaller scale, trying to be military dictator of the group and sacrificing others to save herself, until she's taken down by Beiste or Zizes.

Possibly not before she gets Finn and/or Puck killed in the process. Quinn will never love anyone more than herself, IMO.

Sawyer
08-21-2011, 01:53 AM
Quinn would offer herself up as a sex slave to the zombies. But given that the zombie population could give two ****s about sex, they just kill her.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:54 AM
I can kind of see April Rhodes being like the drunk waiter on the Titanic, who somehow survives everything.

I see Karofsky lasting a lot longer than Azimio.

Finn would try to appoint himself the leader, and have to fight with Puck, Beiste, Zizes, maybe Karofsky, over his stupid decisions.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 01:54 AM
I see Quinn pulling a Carol from TWD. If you've read the comics, you'd know what I was talking about.

I also actually see Quinn trying to latch herself to Santana, romantically, if Santana became a leader.

Schlosser85
08-21-2011, 01:56 AM
I think if push came to shove, Santana would look out for herself and Brittany. Strictly.

As in, splitting from the group, instead of being its leader.

I actually think Kurt would do the same. Take off with Blaine and his family. I see the Hummels having a strict "family comes first" attitude.

I kind of see Burt feeling he's gonna slow the group down and worrying about Kurt getting himself killed for refusing to leave him if he fell behind (which Kurt probably would), and sacrificing himself to save the rest.

Sawyer

Oh I completely agree with everything. Especially Santana and Brittany. Matter of fact, I'd actually love that. Like, I could see Brittany trying to make the most of this new world they live in. Taking breaks out of long trips to go visit landmarks, doing anything she could to keep Santana happy and sane. I see Brittany and Santana living throughout the entire event if they went off together and separated from the group. Matter of fact, it's the only thing I could see them doing. Sure they'd stick around for as long as possible, but Santana would split eventually and Brittany would follow her.

Can any of these kids even act?

JustABill
08-21-2011, 10:45 PM
Lindsay, Damian, and Samuel can. Alex can just act like a diva. Which we have quite a few too many of those anyways. It's my understanding that only Damian and Samuel will be in New Directions. Lindsay and Alex will be supporting characters akin to Chenoweth and Paltrow.

Aesop Rocks
08-21-2011, 10:56 PM
Alex is quite literally, in the words of Murphy himself, the "love-child" of Kurt and Mercedes. Adding him in as a regular would have just taken away from Kurt and Mercedes individuality.

And yeah, I hope they give Samuel a new name because "Sam" would just be lolwut

JustABill
08-21-2011, 11:03 PM
They aren't going to have call them by their names I'm sure. They aren't all that creative, but they can at least come up with names. Oh wait..**** forgot about ''Bubba'' being Bubba, then Marcus, just taking the La off the actor's name, then Sugar.

Nevermind.

So are these people going to be background characters? I don't know how they will give enough screen time for these four plus the new characters and the regulars not to mention the three graduating this year. It seems like a lofty goal especially when the second season sucked most of the time.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 10:21 AM
They're getting 7 episode character arcs, and will most likely stay around after those episodes too.

Lindsay and Alex are getting 2 episode guest-arcs.

Prison Mike
08-22-2011, 10:30 AM
They're putting too much on their plate. Last season we hardly got any of Mercedes, Tina and Mike and there were only 2 or 3 new characters. This coming season we have around 6 or 7 new people to deal with so someone will be getting the shaft in terms of screen time. I bet it will be Tina.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 10:33 AM
Tina, Mike, Mercedes, and Santana are all getting huge arcs this season though.

Schlosser85

I'll believe that when it happens.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 10:56 AM
Eh, I'm just glad Murphy is looking to filling new shoes for season 4. Samuel and Damien are going to be wonderful additions.

Pink Ranger
08-22-2011, 11:47 AM
I just don't see why Murph is against just putting in 4-5 "redshirts" in to fill out the Glee club, just so they look a bit more full out and more realistically at a Glee Club size. Kind of like Mike and Matt in season 1 but without the clearly tokenistic overtones.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 12:04 PM
Because he's giving kids with talent a chance at stardom?

Pink Ranger
08-22-2011, 12:06 PM
But then he paints himself into a corner: either he keeps the Glee club to an unrealistically small size, or he gives everybody and their dog a plotline at the expense of the overall story and possibly other characters.

Glee is a musical, and musicals always have "chorus members," so this show should look into that.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 12:13 PM
Because adding two people to the cast is going to throw Glee into a downward spiral.

Manic
08-22-2011, 12:32 PM
Glee is a TV show that gets 22 episodes per season. 3 of those episodes are dedicated to competitions. With about a dozen kids in the glee club, a handful of teachers, and a 1-hour format, they could give every character or pairing of characters their own dedicated episodes, and revisit other characters' recurring plotlines as subplots in other episodes.

Glee exists in a kind of netherworld between reality and ridiculousness. There are a lot of things about it that are not meant at all to be realistic, like the constantly underfunded glee club's elaborate musical numbers, the depths of Brittany's stupidity and Sue's maliciousness, kids transferring schools at the drop of a hat whenever they feel like it, and half the crap Sue gets away with. But then it also has true-to-life straight dramatic scenes like the Karofsky plotline, the funeral of Sue's sister, Santana's love confession to Brittany, and pretty much any scene between Kurt and Burt.

In real life, Sue would be in prison and probably barred for life from any kind of teaching position.

Really, I think Santana was the one of the two who fell in love first. In fact, I think she's been a lesbian all her life and Brittany was the girl she decided to give that lifestyle a shot with.

Schlosser85
08-22-2011, 10:43 PM
I don't think Brittany is in love with Santana. I think she loves her, and could be in love with her, but I think she's "in love" with Artie, or was until he called her stupid, and apparently she wants him back in Season 3.

Aesop Rocks

So...what happened to "I love you, Santana. I love you more than anybody in the world"?

Schlosser85
08-22-2011, 10:48 PM
That's not necessarily the same as being romantically in love with her.

I absolutely think Brittany could be in a romantic relationship with Santana, and actually wanted one in Duets before Santana blew her chance, but I don't know that she wants one at the moment.

If it wasn't for Artie, I think they would be together.

Aesop Rocks
08-22-2011, 10:51 PM
It ISN'T for Artie though.

Did we watch two different versions of Glee?

Santana blew her off because she was scared out of her mind and Brittany didn't know how she felt, but Landslide and Songbird changed that completely. Landslide showed her feelings and Songbird showed how completely serious Santana was about dating Brittany.

Schlosser85

Since we're speaking of characters expressing their love to each other, how did you guys interpret the drawn-out pause before Kurt answers Blaine's "I love you"?

Just startled, or hesitating because he didn't really feel it or wasn't sure but felt obligated to say it because Blaine just said it to him?

I just thought Blaine took him off guard by tossing it out there so nonchalantly, but some didn't think Kurt felt as sure about meaning it as Blaine did, so I'm just curious how it read to y'all.

Aesop Rocks

People look at it like Kurt not wanting it, but I see it as if it completely shocked Kurt and he wasn't expecting it. I'm sure the feelings are mutual (since Kurt fell for him before Blaine did him).

Landslide is in Sexy, and at the end of the episode Brittany tells Santana that she would totally be hers if it wasn't for Artie, but that she loves him and it wouldn't be right.

She needs to be past her feelings for Artie to be with Santana, and if she wants him back in Season 3, obviously she isn't there yet.

Yeah, I know that. There was a few days between them singing Landslide and Santana confessing her love to Brittany at the lockers. Things happened between Landslide and Songbird. I.E: Brittany breaking up with Artie for calling her stupid. It wasn't like "i know you done rejected me like 5 minutes ago, but like 4 real tho, i need to sing you this song". Santana sang it to Brittany because she needed to reassure Brittany how strong her feelings are for her.

Hahaha, not so much, no (but then again, who knows?)

Lea said she saw a straight couple having sex in cental park once and it freaked her the hell out, yet she watches and loves The Real L Word and even kicks her boyfriend out of the room to watch it alone.

Dianna is pretty much open to anything.

Same for Naya.

Heather has an extremely dark and twisted sense of humor, and well, when Naya and Heather are out in public, they're pretty much just Brittana, but IRL.

Well, Heather might have not because her mom literally despises the Brittana story line and her boyfriend Taylor is a massive doucher that stares hard at Naya while Heather and her are on set together.

I'll tell you why. Because Glee is about all the horrible problems that young, slim, attractive high schoolers face. How dare Laura show any confidence or assertiveness, or even look at girls like Quinn and Santana in the eye! Doesn't she know that her place as a big girl is to sit in the background and cry, or at best stand behind a gay guy and make an occasional sassy remark?

And yet your obsessive love of Naya Rivera has already eclipsed that of my own. :hehe:

What can I say? She's a flawless human being. :hrt:

I joined late, but I caught up just in time for the Super Bowl episode.

Thank you, Oxygen Network's weekend marathon.

I have no idea where people got the impression that this show is supposed to be about building self esteem among unpopular rejects. :meanie:

Agreed. I can't help but wonder what younger kids that look up to the characters on Glee are going to be like when they get older.

There are going to be schools full of Asian kids who only serve to remind others that they're asian, dumb jocks who think it's okay to steal other guys girlfriends but throw a fit when they think they're being cheated on, and misogynistic kids in wheelchairs.

I think the younger kids that watch Santana/look up to her aren't going to be afraid to come out, if they are gay when they get older.
