Mark and Donnie Wahlberg to Open Wahlburgers Restaurant
Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, as well as their chef-brother Paul and business partner Ed St. Croix, are set to open a Boston burger joint called Wahlburgers "soon," according to the Boston Herald.
Wahlburgers will open in the Hingham Shipyard part of town, across the street from their other group restaurant venture, the 2-year-old Alma Nove.
The punny name Wahlburgers was previously trademarked by Rochester, N.Y.-based restaurant chain Tom Wahl's, which offers a product called the "Wahlburger." St. Croix says this surprised him and his partners, as opening a restaurant called Wahlburgers "was a thing we had talked about for several years."
This group has since secured a "full spectrum" use of the Wahlburgers name. They are also looking into opening a pizzeria in Boston next spring.
Now, celebrities opening up restaurants is hardly big news, but goddamn if Wahlburgers isn't just a great name. Seriously... inspired.
