Hey, yetter was just asking if i was gonna put a back ground on them, he wasnt being mean about it. geezz. and... did you get someone's permission before you posted his links?

the links that i provided may or may not work. i lost connection last night after posting them. i wanted to get mick's permission beforehand to post the links again, but i still having trouble getting a hold of him. besides the links are already posted on this paticular thread back in the first 50 pages. so i didn't think anyone would mind to see them again. everyone may have forgotten about them anyway. I give credit to mick and the internet for still even having the links functioning. it beats having to go thru the 50 pages of the beginning of this thread. i really was feeling a bit under the weather and had a much needed day of rest. which is why i had alot of time on my hands to do the research. I'm doing fine now though. Pete the pics were great. I was in no way trying to be nasty to you or yetter. you've been good guys and never have been nasty to me.

Boys you have to be careful with your Text and use of words. I would suggest reading over anything stated if you can, some times we are all in a rush and dont have time to go over our wording. :) But please becareful of your wording. Even I was a little concerned about the statement Larz, until I read your last post. I felt the same way Pete0077 felt after reading that. Thank God Yetter did not read that earlier and beat us to the posts:D But all seems to be okay here. And Yetter if you are reading this I think you will understand.
Oh and Larz thanks for putting up some of those old links:D

WHAT THE??!!! LAR??!! ARE YOU CRAZY?? How could you think that???
I'm just kidding....... I knew not to take it out of context. It's all good brother.
PP007 *** Your dead on about LYCRA being a brand name and not a pysical type of fabric. From what I've understood from being on the set and spekaing to the guy that screened the suits, the had white milliskin fabric and screened the appropiate colors, shading and brick pattern on the suits. Obviously this was a hell of a lot of screens and some took multiple passes to acheive the desired effect. Hope this clears things up some.

That´s why the suit looks white inside on some pics in "Behind the mask"...

Hey Yetter you have those spidey regenerative powers, you'l be back to normal soon, as for me I need some Scince help. Just got back from the Doc Oct. today about my condition, says that I need a surgical shot but into my back spinal disks next week. This should take away the pain that has been bothering me for the past 2 months. God I hope so, being out of work is a pain in the butt, but hey I get to enjoy my summer for a little while, take naps in the afternoon, and still get paid. Just wish I was as healthy before I had the problem. But they never say life is perfect so I got to roll with the punches as long as I keep getting back up.
Even Martin Lawrence the Black comidian if you guys dont know who he is, said in his new movie that is out in theaters at this time. "Ride the Rode of life til the wheels fall off." I know I kind of made it more clean ;), but I think you guys will understand it in this fashion as well.
Another nice thing is that I still am working on my new character's story and it is going very well, I might as well put the time to good use, also not to forget my costume should be here next week. So much to do :D
Well to all of you have a great weekend, and be safe

to all, but to those that don't know this. If you use fabric paint for the raised webbing on the movie costume. Tulip has metallic fabric paint. Metallic black. I've looked at it and it has a silver in it. Perfect for the movie costume. :D :D

He guys.. i have a little question about the movie.
You all know the scene, where spidey´s hanging head down in the rain, after saved MJ.
She´s trying to pull down his mask to kiss him. The next scene he said "Wait..." and in the following scene she´s going on to pull down and kiss.
Why did he say "Wait?"... Wait for what?
For a better camera perspective? :)

Man Im not sure what to say. I mean who is that masked stranger. It looks like a spiderman type being but the costume is an ingenius effort of orginality. Its awesome, spidergeek. Email me when you get the chance. That goes for the rest of you too on this thread. Also I'm doing well, even if I've been sort of keeping quiet lately.

SG,
Nice job on the suit! Dont be so hard on yourself. You've done a great job on orginality and the pic. Thats a really cool pic you've offered. Nice Angle......
spidergeek, GOOD WORK !! as yetter says don't be too critical of yourself thats a wicked first suit totally origional but still definatley spidey, cant wait to see what youre gonna do next. by the way i've now got access to a digital camera so i'll be able to post my 3d web test masks, and my itv digital monkey ( those in the u.k will know what i mean ) who has now got a custom spidey suit.

thanks for the support everyone! a few things i'd like to point out about it though:
1) the origianal design i had was way more complex it had spidery designs around the eyes a better spider for the back and more on the arms and legs this didn't work out because most of the designs were to skinny.
2) please take note that the right hand gloove is missing, this was not part of the design. i sewed it with the wrong way stretch and had no time or fabric to fix my error.
3) lastly you may notice a hole in the heel of the left boot, two seem rips occured upon displaying the suit for my uncle the heel being the most forgiving the other split once more after i stitched it up again. that being so i didn't think a shot of the front would be all that appropriate:p
i know i shouldn't be so hard on myself but i know i could have done better:)

It's amazing though I dont think any of us will ever be truely happy unless the thing is perfect. But as you know Perfection is just in the minds eye, it's just that we are such go getters we always want to improve on ourselves. It is a good thing to see though, but still SG the picture is great. :)

I see that someone has been busy yet again :D Great Job Pete0077, I have to cal my designer up and see how my new character's ostume is going. But I think by early next week I should have it, but I am still going to call today to make sure. I hope all you others guys are having a fun Friday.
Oh Also forgot to mention I got my spinal cord shot with that streriod stuff, and my leg feels a lot better, I wont know if I am back to 100% until one week from now, but things seems to be much better for me. So I am hoping to back to normal soon, and ready to become my new character :) ((Who knows I might get my own Icon soon for the hype board :D))

Awesome shots Pete/Spidey. I guess Pete/Spidey still has got quite a thing with great photography. Anyway love the suit, the one suit I thought I would be well suited for. Maybe still, although it will be hard to make a real good choice for my first suit to show off down the road. It will happen and of course I'm glad and thank everyone with your patience with me. It's a long journey and one I was meant to take. I'm very, very happy with me and nothing stands in my way so far. All I do know, is my path is clear with this one thing for sure and plenty of good hard work is still ahead for me. Just wonder though what else I could bring to the forum that already hasn't been done. Just love some feedback is all. I do respond well to the private messages on the hype and I'll try to have a fun weekend too. Although I feel overready for quite a bit of recharge or something.

Wispiness is not something that can easily be pinned down with a sinlge definition. It's meaning is an elusive one. But I can tell you this, to have wisp is to not be bound with bulky muscles, or to be laiden with unsightly body hair. I likes the skinny boys. I also enjoy a boy who's not afraid to wear a skirt.
::flashbacks to RHPS::
ummm, yes, where was I? Some have said that boys in possesion of the wisp resemble indy rock boys, and to a much lesser extent emo. I don't know, I seen a great deal of wispy gothy boys.
Oh goodness, it appears that I have gone off on a tangent...

Maybe if any of you have a sec, see if you can get any reply to any questions from her at all. If not just beware of the non-deliverance of goods purchased.
Hi! My case is different. I won in an ebay auction from her and for a while she did reply to my mail. But what I didn't know is she kept asking me if I wanted alterations, and went on about the suit is not dry, etc.... It dragged on for 2 months and she said that the item is sent! (I live in Asia) When asked for a registration number, poof! She's gone, never reply to my mail.
And then she lied on feedback of the item. She is a fraud!
I have actually reported her to fraud.org and I think you guys should do the same!

also on another note, i went to my local costume shop where i know a guy who works there. i asked him how much it would cost me to make a spidey suit. he said the best he could do for me was $1500! that is like about $700-$750 US dollars. is it usually this expensive for you guys? it just seems a bit outrageous thats all....
peterparker0077
08-21-2002, 07:59 AM
yeah, that sounds alittle expensive. however, if he is doing a fully costum job for you, with latex molds for webbing and mirrored eyes, and patterned spandex, than that is a pretty good price i would say.

Happy,
Sucks about your e-bay auction. This stuff happens every time you have something that everyone wants. To answer your question about weight loss depends upon a few things.... namely your knowledge. Obviously you are what you eat and basically weight loss is burning more calories than you are bringing in. Do you know how many calories you're consuming? You would be surprised. Secondly, how are you trying to burn the fat? Running, lifting weights, aerobics, all the above? The best thing to start off is a structured diet of 6 small meals / day. All of a balance of protein, cabs and good fats. Why 6? It keeps your metabolism cooking all day and keeping your body from feasting on it's own muscle to run on. Secondly, do some type of cardio on an empty stomach at least 20 minutes, 3 times a week. The morning is best because you just came off of an 6-8 hour fast. Try to drink a gallon of water per day to help hydration and keep things flushed. Lastly, depending upon your age, a good fat burner will help the process like ripped fuel extreme by Twin lab.... again depending upon your age and condition of health. Good Luck!

Thanks Yetter. I guess it's my diet that's not balancing the act. I'm doing weights twice a week and run straight 30 minutes at least twice a week. Hmm... 6 meals. I need to do more research on this. Thanks again for the advice!

If you're really serious about this... I would keep the weight lifting to one body part / week i.e. Legs - Mon, Chest-Tue etc.... As for running... unless you're training for a race, try staggering the pace every 6 minutes and keep at 20 min. max. You'll burn more calories that way.... as for the diet, try looking at the book "Body for life" by Bill Phillips.

Hmm chocolate shakes, Well I think one of the best tasting shakes are the Myoplex shakes (Chocolate lovers-verity pack 4 different choc. flavors):D for all you choc. lovers out there. Oops gotta be careful with the Chocolate Lover stuff Since I am Nice Milk Chocolate Brown Skin in a big spandex wrapper ;)
Oh and another nice protein if you dont want something that is too thinck. Vitamin Shoppe sells their own line called Body Tech. shakes. the stuff breaks down very easilyand you dont need a blender. Very Water Soluable I guess you would say.
But in all honesty I say the whole key to looking the way you want to finess wise is to keep in mind 65-35.
65% of this is Eatting right
35% of this is working out
Lastly the new design stuff for our vision of a superhero we want to look like.. :D I think I will say "MICK THINGS ARE LOOKING UP FOR ME MATE."

All these discussions about the diet/exercise/keeping in shape makes me think that - hey, to make a perfect Spidey suit, you've got to have a body that match with it.
Yeah, I know. It's not possible to have that - but we're getting there, aren't we?

Talking about padding, are the spideys in Universal Studios wearing them? I've seen some photos and it looks like they do but the angle and light is not that good so I'm not sure.

Universal spidey's with pads? NO WAY! Cap and Wolverine? Yup!
But to see truly amazing spideys, check out the Spider-man Rocks show at Universal Hollywood. They have 5 different casts, each does 7 shows a day! The show is 20 minutes long and the spideys swing fight and get the girl.
Its clearly a work out for them.
When I saw it, I sat behind two young ladies who clearly were repeat viewers waiting for the scene of the shirtless Peter Parker.
After he gets bit, he stumbles about, and then rips off his shirt to show a very cut torso - I was impressed - dreading the worst...
Then he grabs a cable and swings about the stage, hitting many of the classic poses. The AM cast was better than the PM the day I saw it twice, but all were pretty darn good.
And not padded. These guys could be in Circ de Sole

Well Yetter I know that you will be the first one to say non of your Marvel Co-Working spiders should be wearing muscle padding, at least that is the way I think. They should all be at the gym keeping in shape to play such important roles. I know that they are actors but they should all look the part.
Well at least on my End no muscle suit here Catz :D especialy not for my new character :)

hey all, the spidey's at universal orlando where padding, i know its sad. but i could tell when they would move there arm, but the muscle didnt flex, it stayed the same shape. i dont think all the actors who play spidey were padding there, but i know that guy did. just wanted to get in my suit and show em up! but thats ok. yeah, i dont think i would ever where a muscle pad, it would be soo hot! and probloby difficult to do flips and stuff in.
750$ for a red and blue suit,... hell no.... thats way to expensive. i would find someone else!

hey, the red and black suit was a custom order from spandexwear.com, they are really cool about costume orders. the red and blue was from reniassancedancewear.com, also really cool about custom orders. hope it helps. the black and white is by far my favorite. for one.. i can take off the hood, 2... i didnt have to worry about webing lines! and 3, there is no zipper down the back.
next on the line up....hum.....
help me out here, which would be more cool to do.
Ben Reily?
or red and black traditional suit(black instead of blue)?
or scarlet spidey?
Scarlet spidey would be cool to do, because its easy, and he has pouches to carry stuff in, like my wallet and keys and con memberships and stuff. that would be nice!

Regarding the Mike Hill Captain America bust: That creation is positively stunning! I gotta' say -- it is so cool it's not even funny. I love how the 'cowl' looks all fatigued at the seams and battle worn and scarred overall. Cap doesn't have a batvault full of pristine costumes like Bruce does! The armored shirt looks like it's seen some disagreements with bad guys too! :-) The apparent age of Steve Rogers seems to be about 38 to 41 I'd say - perfect for a Cap in his prime if you ask me. You can even see his pores! Just amazing. Simply amazing. It looks like there is negative space between the cowl and his face on both sides of his nose. What a touch! Not just perfectly flush with his face. I love the flag blue color too. It always bothered me that Cap was always portrayed in royal blue. Doesn't make sense. The Cap movie even had him in royal blue - pfffffft. No, this flag blue color is much more asthetically pleasing. I better cut away because I'm probably sounding like a pitchman for Dynamic Forces or something lol (I'm not). Again though, simply awesome MickMike - you've outdone yourself!

Yeah, no arguements here. Mike's CAP bust is a product of pure GOD given talent. I'm obvious prejudice but the detail he captures is yet to be replicated. I havent seen anything on the market yet that comes close. All the other busts have smoothe skin, or mannequin style eyes. Not the CAP.... but you know what? You havent seen anything yet......
As for someone that has rep'd the movie suit.... JD costumes has been the closest so far with actual latex webbing. His suits have been going around the $600 area.

In response to your color question it can be very fustrating to see a huge variety of pics out of the movie suit and see different shades of red & blue. You have to remember these photos are rendered, enhanced & probably shaded for advertisement purposes. That's why you can look at the same pic and see two types of colors. If you want to get to the closest possible colors used in the movie, look for 'cardinal red' and 'paynes grey' for the blue. Finding these in pre-dyed fabric it would be a snowballs chance in hell if you did. I do know they offer the cardinal red in a traditional spandex. You'll probably have to settle for 'navy' for the blue. Hope this helps......

Great work spiderHam! This goes right up there with your goblin!
And nice photography as well!
I have a question for EVERYBODY that has made a suit with the GLUED ON WEBBING: Does it pop off or limit movement? It looks like these suits are incredibly fragile and therefor a drag to wear.
Just curious.
And I have not started work on my "dream" suit. ANybody else making any progress?
Mick - When will we see pics of the goblin bust?

Hey spider-ham, great job!!!! can you enlighten us with details of how long it took you to create your masterpiece. That was a good idea putting the "not for sale text" on your photos. Its not a bad idea for everyone to put some text like "property of ______" on their photos to prevent the scam artists from profiting off of somebody elses hard work.

I've been working on creating this suit since November of last year. It a relief to finally get it done. I made sure I put some kind of text on the pictures to keep the voltures that lurk from stealing the pictures and trying to scam someone. I suggest that others do the same or something similiar to combat these ah0les. It's happened to offen to to many of us.
I have updated my web page with these pictures and other suits that I made in the past and some things I'm working on. Check it out: http://home.fuse.net/spiderhamhype/

I must say PAR EXCELLENT!!!! Great Work Spider-Ham I am truely impressed. But I understand that thing about people scamming others useing the pics you guys have of great suit. I wound what will happen if and when my character gets out there?
Well on my end the suit is done, it's not all that perfect, but I tell you this it is original in design and I know I can make a better suit next time, this is just a proto-type so it is expected not to be perfect but at least it gets my idea across. I will be at Dragon Con introducing the new charater. It should be a lot of fun, and I get to catch up to Pete0077, and I will get to meet Wilds, man this is going to be a great time, I wish you others could be there with us, but we promise to bring back piucstures. To all of you have a great hero weekend.
Oh man 12:00 am now and only got 4 hrs to call for my Taxi, Am I ready to go, do I have my stuff all ready? Man there is just never enough time in the day:D I wonder who I sound like-- maybe Martin? :p hey Martin hope things are going ok out there in Germany for you.

Guys! I will not have a spider-man costume on me. For one thing I think there will be plenty of web heads there. But! Do not fear, I will be there in Full gear..... Lets just say what I will have on will hark back to the days of yor. 1938.
As I bite down on my lip, eye ports are fogged, sweating bullets, look up to the heaves and pray to God that he catches me.

Concerning SpiderHams movie replica.I had the honour and pleasure of seeing this piece of work last week.I was floored then and I am floored now.
I saw the original suit he made which was fully screenprinted and I thought it was fantastic. When SpiderHam then told me he was gonna be adding raised webs I'll admit I was kinda sceptical.Sculpting, molding and applying those webs is no small feat.Taking a lot of artistry, patience and dedication.
The movie people used a 50 strong workforce to get their final costume.'Ham did it alone.
As the person who started this forum,I would like to say personally "Well done Ham,you are an inspiration"
With much admiration

Mike,
Man, All I can say is thanks!! It's great to be praised by such a talented artist!
It was a very difficult and time consuming task figuring out how to go about making this thing, getting all the correct information and reference material, doing test after test and so on. It took me about 10 months total, from concept and design to the finished piece. As you can image by now I'm sick an tired of looking at this thing, but now it is finally done and I can sit back and again look at it for the beautiful work of art that it is.
The main reason I did it was 1. because I love the character and 2. I want to work in films making costumes and doing special makeup fx, this would be a part of my portfolio.
Thank You to All!

Yes I am, but I'm just doing it for myself and my portfolio, cuz I like the character and to show I can create action figures.
Palisades was supposed to do action figures and stautes of all the characters, but somehow the whole thing fizzled.

All i can say is, that they are all too far away for me... :(
There are some equal cons in germany, mostly star wars or star trek cons.
A con is a big meeting of fans normaly about a weekend with some movie- actors or people from magazines.
Sometimes there are costume- contest or something else.
But one thing is the same at all cons:
Lot of fun... :D

Hey Wilds that was you the Rocketeer I had no Idea, I wonder if Peterparker0077 knew it? He sure did not tell me :p
We both came up to you at the same time :) I think I was in my new outfit if I am not mistaken. The Gold and Blue new hero. I will try to gbet some pists of hat costume up later this week.
I gotta tell you this, we really had a great time there, also we may need 3 hotels next year, there was just way too many of us :) (Also it would be nice if we can have a block party also inbetween both hoels that would be awesome.)
My plans for Dragon Con 2003 is to come there a little more muscular and trimmer, I just wish I could have been trimmer for this con but with that problem I have have with my leg it was hard to do cardio, and I still suffer from the pain even now, but I will be okay.
I will come as ((JAX)) --Motral Kombat -Have to work on the arm plating. ***Anyone having any ideas how to proceed in that please let me know***
I will have the modifications to my new superhero done, not all that happy with this first suit, but the people really liked it and they took a good amount of pics of it, but I think I know how to make my improvements to SPIDER-KNIGHT (tm) my new character. --- oh and no relation to spiderman ;) this guy is very different -- I came up with his nick-name as well instead of Spidey-- I put a little spin on it and my character's nick-name is Sknighty  I think that will work for me, and also in the book I am writing for the character. I should have the book done by the holiday season, 1/2 way through it already.
Ok next chracter will be ((Venom)) I will have the laxtex mask/hood, and a regular style hood, so that I can go either way, I dont want the kids to be too scared:p --Pete0077 and his crew said that I should play that part since I am the bigger build, so I will use that to motivate me through my injury and keep steady at the gym for more gains in muscle mass and to get leaner.
The extra add on I may do is ((Black Panther)), ok guys not the new version with the cape, the more original one :) I hear that no one is realy into the new look so we shall stay traditional, also it is a simpler suit t do.
And lastly may do my own spidey suit of course :)
Okay I think I talked enough
oh wait, I may be getting up my own little group from NJ and NYC to go to the next Dragon Con as Marvel heros from X-Men and so forth, even on my way back home on a train after I got off my flight a college guy was asking me about the Dragon Con when he asked where I just flew in from. I showed him a few pictures and stuff. He was inquiring about the next Dragon con and had intrests in going, he may want to come as the Scarlet Spider he told me. It made me think of getting a small group of my own there, it would be awesome.
Well I got to get ready for work, even Spider-Knight has a regular life as well. Cya guys

Hey all!
I'm currently workinjg on my own Wrestler Spider-Man shurt along with the whole costume! I've already got the black fabric spray paint on the shirt and will work on the rest shortly. I wish I could get some pics made and scan them, but I'me having problems with my scanner connection. I'm gonna ask for a digital camera for Christmas and if I get one. I'll post them. Wish me luck all.:D
I still have to order the gloves and get red soft brush on fabric paint applied and still have to order a red balaclava ski mask and have to shorten it and sew it where it covers my nose. The pants won't be hard. I have a pair of navy sweats and have to apply two lines on each leg of red brush on fabric paint. I'm also gonna buy a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor red tennis shoes to go along with it.
I thank Dr. Spoon for giving me this idea! Dr. Spoon thanks and please respond to this and give me your support and luck?

good luck petey! i had the idea of making the full costume myself but i am not really sure where to get a red ski mask that is the same as peter parkers, are you altering the one you are oordering or does it look exactly the same when you buy it?
hmm, the pants i think i would just shop around for, i have seen several dark blue sweat pants with stripes down the side, not red yet but it shouldnt be too hard to find.
are the gloves you are getting exactly the same as petes or slightly different?
anyway good luck once more dudey!

Dr. Spoon thanks for replying to my post. I appreciate it a lot. The mask I'm gonna order is from Gekko Gear. The opening goes doesn't cover your nose, but I'm gonna turn the mask inside out and shorten it without cutting on it. I'm gonna shorten it and pin it in two spots where it covers the nose and double stitch it on the sewing machine. The pic is at this link. Geakko Gear balaclava (http://www.gekkogear.com/cgi/wc.dll?GEKKO~catalog~DETAIL~59) The shirt and the pants are sweats I bought at
WAL-MART. They are JERZEE brand.I'm gonna take red fabric paint and brush it on the pants. The gloves aren't gonna be exactly like he has. I'm gonna order a pair of gloves from magic makers retail. Magic Makers (http://magicmakers.com), in the site click on retail and scroll down to gloves. Click on it and click on mens and then click on Sure Grip. Sure grip gloves is what I'm gonna use. The have rubber on the palms and I'm gonna brush red fabric paint on the spots that need it.
And here is big news for you. I'm already done with the shirt.:D

Well hey, I love the Rocketeer. I think it's one of the most under-rated comic type movies. It's a great action movie with good characters and a good story. For some reason, though, everyone treated it like it was the punisher movie or something. I hope you put up some pix of your suit as soon as you get them. Speaking of pix, I just took some of my custom spidey suit if anyone could help me post them, I'd appreciate it. I feel bad having to always looking to Imurme so does anyone know of a good FREE picture host that I could use to show my own pix without bothering anyone? Anyway, my flash gave out on my camera after the first picture but you can still make out the suit. I hope you like it. I gave spidey a more traditional superhero feel but still managed to keep it spidey-like. Anyway, as for the free picture hosting, if anyone knows anything, drop me a line at:

Alrighty guys and gals. I set up an msn group and uploaded the picture of my custom spidey suit. Like I said, they're kinda dark but you can see the suit for what it is. Not the greatest yet but it's a start. Also notice the eye lenses I've made for my Alex Ross/movie/comic suit. I took two thick clear plastic lenses and spray painted thin silver bars across one of the lense pieces. Then I sandwiched jersey type mesh in between the silver barred lense and the clear top lense. The black frames are made out of fun foam and sprayed with many layers of plastic dip.

It has come to my attention that lilbowrabi has taken the pictures that are on my site, edited them taking off the not 4 sale text and are claiming that they are his suit and trying to sell them. Someone forwarded me the email that was the convesation where he claimed it was his and also had the pictures attached that he stole from my web page and editted. I emailed him and he didn't deny it either. I believe this guy is one of the same ones that tried pulling some scams like this before. http://disc.server.com/Indices/14000.html is where he had posted a message saying that he had suits for sale. One of the reasons I put the not for sale sign was to protect from this BS from happening, but people will go to extremes to take advantage of a situation. It is sad that this is our hobby and other will sink to the depths of trying to profit of of someone else hard work.

Just taking time to say hi and let you know I'm still around, Just been busy as heck with my healthly life and keeping my ultimate goal in mine. Just watch this thread next week on Monday, September 16th. The day of my 31st Birthday. By the way Pete, hope you had a wonderful birthday yourself. I would of wished you a happy birthday if I had known :) Now some notes for others on the thread.
To Mick-->Hope someone hasn't stolen your ideas already on your recent artworks. That would be a shame because they look so real (example: The Captian America Bust). I also hope you private message me or email me at Lsqard916@aol.com. It has been so long since I talked to you last.
To SpiderHam-->You suit not 4 sale. YOU CRAZY!! LOL :) I can see that after you took the time to make such a wonderful suit like yours, I guess I wouldn't want to part with it so fast either. I do hate that someone is trying to pass it off as their own design. I would hate the same thing to happen to the Spider-Man 2099 suit on your site too. I mean it could be a suit I have in mind to get, but I'm not promising yet what suit I'll show up in on this thread, around next year it looks like. Again who knows :)
To Wild--> Are you sure you were in the Rocketter Movie :) I could of swore I saw you in that :) I'm really just say what a spectacular suit it turned out to be.
To dorcphish--> You may think it doesnt look that great, but your suit looks like it could be a new look for Spider-Boy. If anyone remember that character. Good Job for at least having something to show this thread.
To everyone--> Is it just my imagination or are the photos not up yet of either the San Diego Comic Con or DragonCon. Ive been sort of been watching the thread over the last few pages and maybe I just missed a page or something. Hope something shows up soon :)
I guess that is it for now and remember...

I've nearly finished my Halloween costume. I'm going as the Black Cat. Not a whole lot of work really, as most of the costume is just the shiny spandex bodysuit. All I need now is the wig. The hardest part is going to be the mask, but I'm sure I'll think of something.
What fun it is to skip about in front of people wearing spandex!

Hi there everybody!
I´m back again... lot to do in work... very busy.
But i had to post something. After i´ve read the posting of spiderhamhype, i´ve looked in the forum he talked about and wrote the guy a mail. It´s good to have different email adresses :D
I´ve asked about some more infos about the costume.
Here´s what he answered:
From Libowrabi@aol.com
hi
well, the costume is the best around,it is fully silkscreened with the brick pattern and muscel defention, it has raised latex webbing, the webbing is just like the movies version dyed black with a silver highlight and i have now (not shown in the pics) tracked down the exact 4 way strech lycra colours, if you've noticed in some pics of spidey, the blue parts of the costume are some times different coulours, and the costume also has some white polycarbonate lenses which are interchangable. i already have one already made but if it dosent fit your measurment you can have one specially made at no extra cost, it would be a 1-2 week. her are the pics, if you have any more question please im me

hey all - I'm mainly haunting brotherhood of the bat (Batman), but I occasionally check in on this side to see what incredible work you all are doing. After being contacted by Libowrabi@aol.com I confirmed with spiderham that this was a scam. Given libowrabi had no way to know my e-mail address or that I was actively searching for a costumer to design a suit through this site, I was surprised to find it his/her letter in my box. Reading the board's last few postings I've now drawn the conclusion the libowrabi, Mina from http://users.ev1.net/~mina/spider.htm and New Age Spidey are one and the same. This scam artist thankfully didn't get my money. We'd all benefit from watching each others backs - thank for inadvertently saving my skin! -mr.e-man:batman:

I thought i mention that if you search ebay under spiderman mask, someone is trying to sell just a mask for 299.99. even thought there is pics up now of the mask. it still doen't look worth that much money. It was probably also not that much to make this paticular mask either. So I thought I would help watch everyone's back in mentioning this auction. There are several people I do trust on this forum such as mick, SpidEMC, yetter, pete, Spider-ham, JD, CostumeMaker, Wild, German and wumonk. Its to bad sometime that wumonk doesnt show off much of his work. Spidergeek and dorcphish, I liked the fact that you used you orginal ideas you've show you Spidey ideas on this forum. So I do hope, that i do truely get to meet a least one person on this from to shake their hand. As long as there a great core group of people who are honest this forum, this thread will live in a true sense of heroism.

Ok, I don't post much, but have a question about these Spider-man costumes. I haven't had the time to read through all the posts on this topic, but have seen some pics of some awesome costumes. Do any of you make these costumes to sell? I saw one pic that looked just like the Movie version I'd be interested in. What's the average price for a good costume? Finally, are there any of you out there that can give info on how to construct some of these costumes? I'm going to school out at East Carolina University in NC and we have a huge theatre dept. I know some people in the costuming dept. that could probably construct one of these. Thanks a bunch and I look forward to a reply. You can also email me at naw0508@mail.ecu.edu. Thanks again!

So damn demanding J, Jonah :)
Oops sorry my guys boss's name is Mike Payne, News TV station CEO:D
This story that I am doing is a lot of fun 10 chapters in and about another 12-15 to go, but challenging at the same time. I kept it very reallistic and down to earth. Real enough to where you would think this was possible. The character's powers are excellent and it doesn't make him impossible to kill at all, even spidey is not invinsible. I based my character on that aspect. The powers are very original though.
(and yeah he does have webbing, but from the Elbows, and it is bio webbing. This concept I already had before the Spidey movie had came out, and even befopre I ever knew that they were going to have bio webbing for Peter. BUt I will tell you this, this is not the way my character really gets around. He has a different method)
I will have a short write up on the character, and his powers possibly in two weeks so look out for it. I also have a Lawyer taking care of my legal business Trade Mark wise so the Big 'M' cant say too much. Actually what could they say? My Character is of a very original nature, and he is tough enough to give Spidey a second thought if he ever got up in Sknighty's face. :) But I hope one day these two characters can come together and do something big time. I still respect the Spiderman character and I always will. Me and the Big 'M' have our differences but their Character Spiderman I have no problems with. The idea of the chracter was made with all good intentions for all who look upon him.
That is what America is all about, diversity, and by the time this guy comes out it should give people a lot to look forward to and some new hopes and dreams. Spider-Knight will be part of this new millennium

Eric,
Sounds very interesting. The only advice I can give (not saying you need it BTW) is always stick to yr original premise. What happens a lot of the time is we are lying in bed and we come up with a fabulous idea, simple but cool. Then as the weeks fall by we add more and more stuff, think of new beginnings etc ,etc.We end up ruining our original idea.
Im looking forward to seeing yr character in print.
To Lar and anyone whos interested im back in traing/dieting again.I'll be honest there was no way I was gonna throw on this Romita costume and let you guys see a pregnant looking Spiderman. So its back to it..and I feel better already.
Lar heres my diet:
Breakfast:Tin of Salmon.Coffee.
Lunch:Either a piece of lean beef or cottage cheese and Rivita.Followed by six egg whites.
Dinner:Either small amount of rice or sweet potata with Chicken breast.
If I feel like a snack its Rivita or a piece of fruit.
I lift weights 2-3 times a week and cardio 2 times a week for 1 hr.I know this doesnt seem a lot but Ive learned to allow time for my body to adjust,Im no spring Chicken.
For anyone whos new on here and says "what the hell is this nut talking about? This is a costume forum?" Our group has become more than that and training and fitness is a part of our hobby.Spandex is ...unforgiving.

Just think after two cordizone shots in my back it would clear up things a bit for me. I was fine for about a week or so then yesterday morning I got a cramp in my right leg where all my pain was numbed by the shots, and it reactivated the full nerves again. Pain in the A$$. Had to move my Surgery up a few weeks actually was planning on beginning of Nov. so I dont miss halloween but after yesterday have to go to surgery next week. Well all should be fine afterwards. this is not a complicataed proceedure but a serious proceedure none the less.
I will keep you guys informed as to what happens from here. Now I have to get another drug. I hate drugs, I like suppliments for body building though :)

Well you wanted to know whats going on well disk L4, and L5 have buldging gel in them pushing up against my nerves in the spinal passage. I have already seen the MRI, it is very clear, the MRI is something that you can not fake at all, or have any mis conceieved notions. About 50% of the passage way is blocked .
The doctors have tried two different cordizone in jections 2 weeks apart. One was put in me about a month ago the other was put in me3 about 2 weeks ago, 3 days before I took the trip to Dragon Con. I made it through Dragon Con though Surprisingly. Was still a little hurt though, but made it through. I was doing better once I was off my feet for a little while just working and such and stayed out of the gym. Then on Wed moring my first day off in 8 dyas str8 of working I woke up to a Charlie Horse. It was pretty bad wanted to scream my ass off. Then once the cramp eased down I noticed that I was in a lot of pain. Then suddenly noticed that my condition was back at Square one.
All that work and DR visits, I was already schedualling to go for Surgury before I left for Dragon Con I knew it had to be done, I am a model and I cant look like Damaged goods going up to do a cat walk. I wanted the surgery done in Nov. So I did not miss out on Halloween, but sionce my condition declined quickly, and boy I am in pain now, they really gave me a break and they can oporate on me in Thursday the 19th. Of course none of us look forward to this kind of thing but it is needed in sittuations like this, also I have been in pain for about 3 months so I am just getting tired of this. The Doctor that I have his name is David Lamb of Princeton medical Orthorpidic specailist. He comes highly recomended. I actually have 5 Dr's.
One is a foot dr who I seen first. Friend of the family Dr. Tom McGuigan. He thought it was a sports injury to my foot. he is a foot specialist, he prescribed Celebrex, and gave me some foot excersies to do . Then while I was still in pain he siad it had to be something else. He moved me up to Dr. Jolly he is a bone specialist. He took X-Rays and noticed that I had a Sciactica problem. He too the X-Ray and looked it. the did not really see the problem in the X-Ray he just gave me Vioxx thinking that it was just an inflamed nerve giving me the problem.
I was feeling a little better was stil hurt though. Dr. Jolly then passed me off to Dr. David Lamb. David had me to go get an MRI done. Once that was completed he called me into his office the following week and looked at it. And it showed the blockage in my spinal cord. From there he wanted me to get a cordizone shot. I was passed off to Dr. Paulmer. Dr. Paulmer is an AirForce Captain. He put the shot in the disk area of my back more of a general shot. I felt better but my condition declined in in 3 days. I was walking around and such and when back to work. But I still had some pain. So I went in for a second shot two weeks ago before going off to Dragon con in Atlanta GA. The second shot was given to me by Dr. Miler who did more of a specific shot to narrow in on the problem area. Again felt better got through the Convention and so furth and we feeling much better. Saw Dr. Lamb on a follow up visit and told him I need the surgery anyway because of the modeling I do and I need to be functional he understood. and he knew it may come to this, he is not happy about it either. Then a few days later cramp and you can ablib from there.
Well thats the story. I wonder what you would add to this mess :-) hahahahahah but I am in good spirits and I hope thing work out with prayer and a Dr.'s hand.

I hoped to send this in a private e-mail since this is going to be a fairly lengthy bit of material, but perhaps somebody else out there in the future might profit from this bit of info.
Be careful on this surgery decision.-yes you have five different specialists working on this probem, but it seems only one is an orthopedist - the one doing the actual cutting. Yes, an MRI and an X-ray may show severe to serious degeneration to a disk (especially noted for L4-L5, and L5-S1 being the most common for most peole with lumbar herniations), 2-3 months of pain with only a few anti-inflams and a couple of cortizone shots as pain relief may not exactly equate to bringing about the decision of doing an irreversible surgery. You are still considered in the acute stages and this may be a pure pain issue, not a motor/sensory neuron injury (which would make this more of a medical emergency) Based on research, they have found that 70% of MRIs and X-rays finding herniated disks were false positives (meaning the gross majority had no validity in seeing the true clinical picture - the herniated disk had nothing to do with what was really going on.) One thing you need to understand is that NO ONE including and especially an MD should make a clinical decision based solely on tests involving an x-ray or MRI save for a slipped disk or spinal stenosis (both of which you don't have).
I understand Dr. Lamb to be an ortho surgeon, is Dr. Paulmer one as well? - If he is not, I seriously do suggest before you go any further that you first seek a second opinion of another well known orthopedic or neurosurgeon that specializes specifically in laminectomies (hopefully that is all they wish to proceed on) - if he's a doctor worth his good reputation he won't bat an eye at having this done to reinforce his own expert opinion.
Secondly I would ask the M.D.s (both orthos) about the efficacy of having an EMG done (electromyographic study) - this test the electrical conduction of the sciatic nerve to find out exactly how much damage is being done if it is truly a compression issue as seen on an MRI or X-ray
You need to realize that orthos bread and butter is surgery - that's where they make their money and are therefore far more inclined to recommend it versus alternate therapies. I'm not certain what level of pain you are in at this moment, but do reconsider if this is simply a pain issue -once they cut - that's it and it is NOT guaranteed to solve the problem. They need to make absolutely certain this is where the problem is coming from and that a biomechanical alteration of this sort is needed.
With that said - and you still wish to continue with the surgery - have a sit-down talk with the surgeon and/or his referred physical therapist that he may send you to afterwards (some don't - that's their choice) and discuss the big picture - what's the overall outcome and timeline? Question as to how long after the surgery do you see full recuperation, when can you get back to full weight bearing, lifting basic items, lifting in a gym, exercising etc.... (each surgeon is widely ranging in their protocol so this is a neccesary step so you aren't reeling afterwards because the time-line you anticipated is a fiction versus what you actually will be doing) I hope this helps man - good luck in whatever you decide, I feel for you. I've had 2 herniations at the base of my neck - I opted out of surgery, for my own reasons and it took significantly longer to recuperate - mine was pain AND muscle atrophy so it was a gamble I took as to whether the muscle would regenerate. I'd definitely work with these guys whichever decision you opt for, but make sure they keep you well informed enough to make a solid decision on what is to be done to your body. Good luck-e

Well I got til Thursday til the operation I could grab the MRI and show it to a Nerve specailist on monday or Tuesday I would assume. For the second opinon. I am a little better from the pain at the moment due to one of the drugs I am taking Codeen #3 I might actually be able to get some sleep tonight. Thank God
I will keep you guys informed.

Since you want to know mick, here what I'm doing with my Healthy Life Plan so far. First Is the exercise Im getting about three hours of walking in a day, I'm also trying to mix in cycling too. I'm still having trouble getting to the gym being without the car, but I walk. So I'm not using excuses like I can't get to the gym to do my walking or I can't do it. I have some things I can do like tone and sweat and hand heald weights to work on some strength training. Hopefully I can get some stuff like that for my birthday.
As far as food
Breakfast--> 2 cups of oatmeal with some kind of fruit mixed in. A glass of 100 percent fruit juice or lowfat milk to drink and 2 eggs or egg subsitute (a bit healthier)
Lunch--> Chicken Teriaki Sandwich (6 inch sandwich on wheat) with easy sweet onion sauce (A new sandwich that Subway has) add bell peppers, tomatoes and lettuce to it. Plus you can have a small bag of Baked Lays and a diet soda, nutrisweet sweetened iced tea or water.)
Dinner-->2 cups of spaghetti with tomato sauce and any variety of healthy grounded up meat. You can add some bell peppers, mushrooms and onions for extra vegies if you want. You can put a bit of parm on it. Plus water or a diet soda to drink.
Figures out to be about
------------------------------
9 choices for Carbs (8 if you choose fruit juice or water to drink),
2 fruit choices, 4 Protien choices (between 4 and 6 seems better than just 3), 3 vegie choices, 1 dairy choice (2 if you choose lowfat milk to drink for breakfast)
Write food choices and thoughts down in a food journal to keep track on what is good and bad about your plan and make proper adjustments. You should keep those number of choices like that if you can. I'm in no way saying endorseing any plan with out the doc's help or if you want to lose weight for you. Because if you don't matter, your healthy life plan is not worth doing.
I apprieciate you mick for allowing me to say something about my plan here on the thread. I'm very fine and do realize how busy you are with your awesome projects. I'M PROUD OF ME :) I'M FINALLY HAPPY WITH ME :) Everyone is welcome to keep in touch with me and give me any suggestions. Although none of you have to hold my hand to do this, I can do this for myself. You can be there to see me make this dream become a reality :) you also don't have teach me how to spin a web either. I can do that myself lol :)

Hey Lar,
Well done with diet! I think u are appraoching it in the right way.Crash dieting doesnt last ,but a slow gradual loss stays off.
To our two medical specialists out there.I have a problem u might be able to advise me on.Im extremly flexible all over ,no problems.except the lower portion of my spine. It diesnt cause me any pain or problems but its just not flexible, like for instance touching my toes,I cant do.Its almost like the lower third is fused?Like I said when Im in the gym or whatever folks cant believe I cant touch my toes, cuz I lift weights ,run, etc etc( and I was an award winning break dancer!Yep I was young too once.We were "THE SUPREME TEAM"LOL!),actually I can just, but its my upper back curving not my lower.Like I said its never caused me any problems, just weird.

HEY MICK I was able to touch my toes like 3 months ago before the pain started :) but now. Yuck I dont even want to get into it. You know it is amazing I had no idea that we actually had medical guys on this board it is a comfort to know that though and to seek some medical advise from them. I guess my little injury has sparked some new conversation that helps others in the same process. After all us Superheros do get hurt at times. (Hey any Shrinks around? :D)
I still remember when Yetter said he had pulled a butt muscle. Wonder how you are doing now? I assume it is back to normal. :)
And Larz I am happy that you are now rowing your own boat and it is great to see that, just dont forget you may have to make adjustments in your course to get to where you need to go. Dont give up we believe in you and soon you will be where you need to be.

Mick - I am extremely flexible (often mentioned to me that "gee your flexible for a man..." uhh thanks "usually only women are that flexible...") despite not always being in the greatest shape.
Part of it is how you are built and I think mostly in this case how open your hip flexors are. Not terribly scientific, but the ability to touch your toes is probably linked to how tight your pelvis is rather than how flexible your spine is or how tight your ham strings are. Does that help?
I have done yoga consistently (at least once a week) for probably 20 years and that has helped. Get into a class with a good teacher that corrects postures, and lets students progress at thier own pace.

Hey SpidEMC , This point I'd agree with Parker 252, it's hard to make a mobility judgement based on a descriptor though it sounds like your upper lumber has become over time hyperflexible whereas your lower lumber for one or several reasons is incapable of flexing for reaching your toes. Typically in almost every case this is because of tight hamstrings, but can't conclusively say this without seeing it. The best advice is Parker's. - have a postural specialist (Yoga, Alexander technique, Rolfer, sports med specialist, or muscle physiologist) take a look and give you their professional opinion.
As for Spiderman Yetter - I'd refer to an exercise specialist with medical training (specifically a physical therapist or chiropractor with a strong background in sports med lifting that can help with the transition back to exercise) Your previous injury and seemingly ensuing history of re-injury lines you up for worse trouble (ostero-arthritis high on the list). I'd find out from someone in the know what specifically NOT to be doing activity and ergonomically and then point you in a slow safe transition into getting you back to where you were prior to the first injury if possible.
Also if you can't get in to speak to someone for a second opinion re-schedule the surgery - maybe the doc will be upset regarding lost surgical time, but remember this is your body and you have the last decision - good luck Eric

Mick,
There is a good possibility of hamstring tightness, but usually you would actually feel the stretch in the hamstrings and know that it is the reason for the inflexibility. A good check to see whether it is your spine or hams would be to lie down on your back and attempt to pull your knee (while it's bent) up to your chest. Check each leg, and then both. If you have a hard time doing this, then the problem is not exclusively in your hamstrings. It would then be either lower lumbar or possibly even your sacro-iliac (SI) joint. There can also be associated spasm of the muscles used to extend your low back, but over the time frame you're in, that would have resolved. If the knee to chest produces either pain or inflexibility, then I would recommend having either a chiropractor or an osteopath (obviously I'm biased towards chiropractors) do an x-ray of the lumbo-pelvic region to rule out fusion or major degenerative changes. Then, a set of specific excercises and/or adjustments would get you moving well in a short while. As for now, I would work on stretching your hamstrings, gluteals and spinal erectors. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
And SpidEMC, it's never a bad idea to get the opinions of others. I just wish I would have spoken sooner, as I hate to see young people go under the knife for less than perfect results, and some other conservative methods can actually reduce and possibly eliminate disc herniation and its symptoms.

Hey CBanks66, and dark advenger 35 I am glad we got you two talking. Talk about adding something to the thread :D
Okay you two I will have 36 hours to show my MRI to who ever I can find I think I have a chiropractor who can see it that works out at my gym. I kind of forgot about him, since I have not been able to work out for the past 2 months. (Still in pain right now, this sucks. Codine #3 keeps wearing off much sooner everytime I take it. I feel like takeing the Pergisat, but I dont feel like being drugged up only as a last resort. If I had to describe my pain at the moment 1 being hardly any pain at all to 10 being the worse. I would have to say that I am spiking at 8, the other past two days I was spiking at 9 or 10 and even wanted to cry a few times at night, but held it in. Hey who says heros dont cry :p I tell you this I sure as hell screamed out a few times  you know that stuff you dont want your parents to hear :) )
Hey Yetter I had no idea you were still in pain from your rear. I thought that you may have been in worse pain by pulling a hamstring muscle or something like that in your years of martial arts or something. I thought that would be the worse pain you would have ever been in.
Well we will keep the Docs informed.
Seems the only one not in pain is PeterParker0077, well he is the youngest Spidey in suit out of us all :D lucky him the new 21 year old Spidey :spidey:

CBanks/Dark Avenger,
First and foremost ,thanks for the advice.Whats more incredible is you both mentioned hamstrings. And after trying a few stretches this seems to me where part of the problem lies.I always thought my hamstrings were hurting and pulling cuz they were overcompensating for my lower back.
I tried the exercise CBanks/Craig suggested.I had no problem what-so-ever bringing my knee up to my chest. On the other hand if I sit on my butt with my legs stretched flat in front of me,as soon as I attempt to touch my toes,my hamstrings hurt and tighten immediatly, making it near impossible.
So any stretches or exercises I can do to loosen these hamstrings?
Thankyou
Mike

I teach patients a no-brainer hamstring stretch as the long sitting - touch-your-toes one can easily be cheated on making you use more of your back than not.
CBanks66/Craig hit it on the head - lying on your back, use a towel, belt or something similarly inflexible and long to aid you in pulling your straightened leg towards your chest. To reduce the stress point your toes slightly to remove a major nerve stretch (it's important to do it later with the toes extended toward the knee, but try it later after making some gains without it). The literature is still up in the air as to what intensity the best stretch is, but all are agreed on the idea of not pulling it into a realm of pain - stay in the region where maximum stretch is felt and minimal to no pain anywhere from 3 seconds to 30 seconds (depending on the author). As to how many times rep-wise and times a day - I would say many reps versus few would be better, times per day or week - listen to your body. The most important aspect is to do these stretches after some sort of activity where blood flow has been maximized to the hamstrings (biking, running, long duraction walking etc.) A cold stretch will get you minimal results at best. -e:batman:

you guys aren't the only ones in some form of physical debility. I was out biking like a maniac 2 nights ago (no light, I know I know) on a marked biking trail - went to go under a bridge (pitch black) and a cyclist (first timer/newby) lost his bearings (also no light) and ended up on my side of the trail - we both collided with a pretty loud crunch and littered the area with body parts. I can definitely attribute my general lack of injuries to weight lifting - besides being dense from not using a light like I should, my overall body structure seems to made me a bit more tolerant to sudden impacts/stops - I cam out of it with a slight scratch on my knee and a hell of a sore chest - I can finally today finally perform a lying down maneuver to sleep without pain, but it was excruciating for a time there. My other cyclist wasn't so lucky - He broke his arm in two places and lacerated his hands with a slight case of shock. I packed him up carrying him to the local parking lot, retrieved his pretzeled bike and his friends drove him to the ER while I went to the library to finish studying for the night - bad for him, but does illustrate how working the weights does have advantages besides the look and being able to push around heavy weight. -e

If you have a friend that can help you out, you can get an excellent hamstring stretch. You lay on your back, put the back of your leg over top of your friend's shoulder while he faces you. Make sure you keep your opposite knee extended and flat on the ground. He leans into you until you feel a deep stretch. Push against his shoulder with your whole lege. Hold for about 10 seconds, then relax back for about 5-10 seconds. Then repeat, getting a little further, push against him again, and relax again. One more time, and then relax. I'm sure Avenger is familiar w/ this technique. I'm also a rugby player, and this is the best hamstring stretch for pre-game warm-up.

It's actually okay to ask about a part for a costume. This is genreally a Costume Thread. We just happen to network health issues in at the same time. Why have a great costume, and not have the health and the look while wearing it. This goes hand in hand. :) I would say you should ask PeterParker0077 he has a few friends that are girls that wear wigs for their costumes at conventions. He may have some referals for you.

Aside from the health related issues, two costume questions. First, has anyone ordered the movie lenses from Sci-Fi Supply and if so did you like them? Second, has anyone tried to make a shell to go under the mask, or is everyone just going free-face? Trying to get my costume ready for All-Saints Day, as I'll be in Hungary rather than the US over Halloween weekend. Thanks.

wow, go away for awhile and i miss awhole lot!
thanks banks and avenger for all the info, its good stuff. i teach martial arts and those lie down hamstring stretches we do all the time. as for weights, i like to substitue natural workouts for weights. things like handstand push ups, inverted crunches, slow kicks, one leg squats with other leg extended out and up,... etc. they seem to give me alot better results in that they are working on strenght as well as balance and corodination at the same time. some build muscle faster too, such as hand stand push ups, because you are inverted and your blood is getting rushed into the muscle areas being worked. good stuff!
CAT- try funwigs.com! that is where my friends get there wigs from. there might be two g's in the link? i am not sure. hope it helps

I haven't begun work on the suit because i haven't gotten the nylon/lycra leotard, full body plus a full covered full mask unitard, tights w feet, a gynasium shoes yet. But.... they should arrive soon so I can begin to work on it and when I get the spider-man eye wear i ordered from sci-fi supply, 2 different eye wear even the frames metallic and white lenses. I have it all sketched out and mapped in my head and on paper. I'll tell you how I'm gonna build the suit.
from NY Dancewear (http://www.nydancewear.com) I ordered the full body w/ attached full mask_nylon/lycra color red unitard. A long sleeve mock neck leotard_nylon/lycra color navy. Tights with feet_nylon/lycra color navy. A pair of gynasium shoes.
I'm gonna do some construction on the unitard and cut off the mask so it can match up to the mock neck. Cut out the red parts that will be added to the navy unitard with liquid sew permanent bond. The gloves with be attached. The boots will be from the unitard and will cut out the souls of the feet and sew to the gynasium shoes to make boots. They will be sewed tightly and sewn more than once maybe. I'm gonna use Jones Tones pearl black fabric paint for the raised webs on the red parts and use Jones Tones Black for the front spider and use red soft brush on fabric paint for the back spider. The tights will not be attacked because I have to put them on first and then put on the upper part and the costume which has a zipper on the back hopefully concealed. I bet it will though. Your probably asking yourself how can I use 2 different lense for the eyes? Simple!:D
I'm gonna use velcro. Velcro on the mask around the eyes and glue velcro on the lenses. Then that way I can change lenses. The lense will be the last to go on the costume. As it reads in Behind The Mask of Spider-Man.
It takes time for these things my friend, but It will get finished with it. I'm gonna take my time at it.
And I will also start on the rest of the Wrestler Spider-Man costume when I Buy some white costume gloves I'm gonna use instead that I found at a costume shop in a mall in the city. Then order the balaclava and the red chuck taylor converse shoes from Foot Locker.
and one other thing Dr. Spoon..... You never answered my question in the movie 3 series thread. Is it me or does the Wrestler Spider-Man figure's spider-man's right arm look like it has a web regulator button on the palm of his hand?

god luck with your continued success as well, keep going, nothing is stopping you buddy.
As for my suit Well it is not the best it can be I will be sending it back around the holidays season, and improving the webbing on the suit. may have it on regulare material on the top and sewed into the spandex suit. It should look cleaner that way, also the material will be a darker blue I think so that the gold webbing realy stands out. useing the glue was an ok Idea but it did not hold up well enough for me and the type of webbing I was using so if I use the seperate material to put the webbing on, it can be stiched in with gold thread and then attacked to my main suit. This will also give me a longer life to the suit and the webbing.
As for the Mask, going to revamp that and have the gold lenses done by the same people that furnished my suit. Also the lens area will be narrower., oh yeah and cant forget to have them sew in the sole for me from a pair of water shoes you see at my site for Spider-Knight. Also stil have to make my shield for the next showing of the suit. Most likey in Florida at mega con// Meeting Peter's Crew again we are going to have a ball :)
-Oh and Pete0077 I think you know what also lies in store for you next year the big black Spider wil be coming around hehehehehe. Gotta catch Spidey-Chu :venom:
Peter Parker 2001 good luck on your suit , I know it takes time to do this kind of work trust me I know.
-Two more days til the Doctor sees what a superhero looks like on the inside. Oh well it has to be done, can't live like this forever :D but I should be fine. I have a very good DOC OCT.

Also special shout-out goes to both our new superhero doctors Dark Avenger:batman: and CBanks66 ( I wish I knew what ICON you like, I would put it up by your ID But If they had an Icon of Doc Oct. I would put it there :D)
One more day to go yahoooo! I mean I am not looking forward to surgery mind you, but I know the operation needs to be done. I am not as in much pain as I was before earlier this week thank God, but my right leg is getting so numb now it is a danger of nerve damage if the operation is not proformed.
I wil be in the hospital for 2 days so I wil not be here til around Saturday so no worries. PeterParker0077, you have 8 chapters of my story that I gave you at Dragon Con. God forbid if anything screwy happens I want you to continue my work on Spider-Knight (tm), it's just always good to have a back up plan you know, and this new superhero's time has come. Once I start my 1 month of recovery I should be able to finish up the novel. All seems good and like they say some things are just meant to happen, so now it is my turn to start the venture to my destiny.
To all have a good healthy day, and enjoy life. :)
