ahh ha! found out who was mad at me! well, i posted this a while back
yeah, it is a shame about the whole marvel thing. i have personaly seen the appearance worker here in florida, and he did not do a good job of being spidey. he ignored people asking for pics and didnt even do any cool spidey poses. and i watched him for at least an hour. When i asked to be apart of the appearance group, they seemed completely disinterested, like they want no more help. but thank you to the one who help me at least get that oppurtunity
and it was the florida appearance guy who emailed about it. i apologozed for the comments he took as personal attacks, yeah, i could have worded that alot better. we talked, all is good
=)

Could have been and extra in the new T-3 Movie ;-) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3325876588&category=197)
Hey Pete0077 the pics are really great, just like the other guys have said, and I am glad you worked things out with the appearance person. But since you did not get hired hey soon just think you can do appearances for my creations:D just a thought, but hey it's back with some real potential, no games here.

You know whats crazy I rather buy my own creations now rahter than buying the Mavel stuff from stores and such, Cant wait to see Spider Knight Toys all around KB and Toys R Us then actually being able to sign that stuff, now that is class
Also I like the idea that some people are doing some work on creating some of my characters for their own collections, and shipping the stuff to me to have it signed. Oh man I have a following for something that is not even in the market yet. (YOU GO BOY!!) :D
Book goes well and Spider-Time is just the biggest help for this, and also I love all the support that I am getting. And some people that or doing some parts of this project.
Thanks again guys you make this thing very possible

Hi There Guys!!! Sorry I been away from the Hype . I have been very busy with commission projects. Buried under tons of Foam ,fabric, and Glue. Working on a Transformer costume for Hansbro, for this years Botcon. Plus other small projects so I won't get burn out on the Transformer costume. This thing is 10 feet tall! Is any one here attending this years San Diego comic con?

Cool no worries just catch me on the cell or at my job. Looking forward to when the East Coast meets the West Coast. Nothing shall stop the East Coast We rule when it comes to Com-Play. As you guys can see I did not say Cos-Play. Cos-Play is more Anime Japan stuff. Logan and I came up with the word that best describe what we do as Com-Play. Comic Book Play. I think that would best describe the American style of animation characters that we dress up as. Oh and last word Con-Play= Convention Play so that would tailor to more of a general statement for people that dress up at any type of convention that they attend.
Well that is the word on Conventions. Now in other news,
Halloween Man kills Super-Villain Dead Ringer, and leaves only a dagger behind as a calling card. Dead Rinnger's hands are also missing from his body. More on this story at 6pm on Rapid Action News.

I found a site, some time back, with a VERY good SPidey costume you can buy......It was the best i'd seen yet, till this one, which is VERY good too....I like the raised webbing on the pics in here, but the rest of the costume, i think is better, on the site from the link below.....I just looked and they'd added some other costumes too...

Got a question for everyone here.
Have any of you ever had any dealings with a guy named Joe Miller? His emal address is superheros2001@hotmail.com. He sells Superman Costumes. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had any problems with this guy.
I bought a Superman yellow leather belt from him for quite a bit of money and it's been 5 weeks now and nothing. When I asked for a refund he's told me that the guy that he gets the belts from won't refund it to me. Even though I've never gotten the product.
I'm just curious if anyone else has delt with this guy.
Thanks,
SpiderJack

margaret waites suits are very nice looking suits but in no way competes with hams. plus i put a order in for one of her suits in august of last year and still havent gotten it or any updates as to why from her.
its all about customer service in my book and ham offers that service and a mind blowing costume compared with her.

Well from what I hear she is up to like mid 60's on Spidey suit from what I heard from friends who have ordered also. I would just say check on your number that you should already be filed into to see about how close she is to getting your order done. And yeah SPIDERHAM's Suits Blow the mind away :D

hmm lets see hmm, Dont have a friend do this to you unless you are prepared to take a shower with a lot of scrubbing. And God sitting that long while the person does the webbing I wanted to fall over a few times from idelling so long in the chair.
Webbing that sticks to you. (http://groups.msn.com/SpiderKnighttm/timessquare.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=273)

It was a quick suit to do but it still took some time. By in no ways am I saying it can compare to most. I just wanted this suit done also before my designer and a few other people in a group effort start working on my Spider-Knight(tm) suit on Monday. I want to have the Knight done before Dragon Con. it shall also be of the newer Pictures that Spider-Time aka Ben Clone has done for me. I think he is more psyched about this Spider_Knight suit than I am. Hey Ben-Clone thanks for the webbing job, dont worry though the Knight will be a simplier job to do, hardly any webbing at all, but it will be stunning
Oh sorry to get off the subject here is the Alex Ross type suit. No trademark violations are intended. It's just a fan costume ;) (A little over dramatic you think?) :D
who's looking at you? (http://groups.msn.com/SpiderKnighttm/timessquare.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=274)

Hey people, I'm new to the board, so I'm not sure if I'm even filling this out right! Anyway, I have made some Spidey suits in the past and mostly used felt tip pens to draw the webbing. I was considering trying to do raised webbing like a lot of the photos I've seen on this thread, so my question is ... what have y'all used and what do you think works the best? I'm really just interested in doing a classic comics-style Spidey. Thanks!!!

Hey everyone. Say good-bye to the old and hello to the new, well not yet. LOL I am working on a new spidey suit for myself. I now have the honeycombed lycra, I have created new eyes, a different spider for the back and I have worked out a new, hidden zipper pattern. I have a new product for the webbing and I also have new ways of creating the black chest spider and eye trim. The suit should look more "in tune" with the movie suit. At least that is my objective. so whats everyone's newest project?
i think i want to start a new suit, that has seperate boots and seperat gloves. i was thinking to align the webbing , the gloves could have a hook on top and bottom. that how my black and white suit's hood stays on, and it seems to work. for the boots, i am thinking of finding or making a pair the are leather or pleather, that zipp on the inside to be really tight, like some of these womens boots i see. what do you all think?

Hey Spider people! I put a page up with some Spideys I've done:
http://kapayafl.tripod.com/costumes/id3.html
It's kind of a retrospective as I gear up for making a new Spidey suit for a friend. I get requests all the time from strangers who want me to make a Spidey suit for them, and for a few years now I've refused because the last one I did was such a pain in the ass and it wasn't worth it to me to try again. But I have to say that reading this thread and seeing the amazing work on all of the costumes I've seen here has been an inspiration. So thank you to you all! Enjoy the pics on my page ... or rip them to shreds, whatever you feel like doing, I can take it ;-)

Kapaya! That is too funny. I was the one who ordered that "Bug Eye Spiderman" mask from you back in '99. It sat on a dressmakers head in my apartment for the longest time. hey great looking flash and captian america costumes, 2002spider. The spidey costume doesn't look too bad either. Also I know someone asked about new projects and all I can say is I wish I had a new project I was working on. I think I work on my good health habits a bit more then anything these days. I am actually vey impressed about the past 24 hours with all the pictures of suits that were shown.
2002Spider Excellet aray you have . That Hulk suit is definatley different. That Suit has to get really hot when you have it on. I hope it comes with ice packs :D also the Flash and Cap-Am. Suit those are great and I like the shinier material that was use, they indeed stand out.
Lee the spidey and Carnage suits are great. But yeah that Carnage suit is the best I have seen. Spider-Times is good and I will never take anything away from what he has done with his Carnage suit he made but yours is an extra notch above. I think this will motivate him to make a better Carnage suit anyways ;), Hey Spider-Time you got a big brother now :p
Kapayafl dude you did some great suits back in the day I cant wait to see some newerones you produce, you have a very good craft I hope you will always improve on your eforts. You should never be ashame of your work making suits is not easy at all, and you pull it off very well :)
**Oh yeah if anyone has Ideas for the Spider-Knight --(Oh and the Name is Changing, even the icon a little bit)-- suit construction please let me know, in about 2 weeks my designers will go to work I have 2 of them that will work together on the suit, it is a simple suit but I still want it done the best way possible. I hope to have it finshed for Dragon Con this year in late August. Here is the picture of the suit, if some of you have not seen it yet. Spider-Knight suit. It was cool this was my 2nd year going to this philly convention. I did not suit up the first time because I would have been the only one in suit at that time, there were no others, but this year I was glad to see a few people dare the elements of being on a convention floor in suit. I did not get a chance to meet Alex Ross, his line was way long, so I will see him in San Diego.
But I did get a chance to speak to Ray Parks (Darth Maul) he is a really cool fellow, he said fantastic costume I had on, the costume aint perfect by no means, I could of had Spider-Ham do my Alex suit, at least then I would be confident in what I was wearing to accept the compliment gracefully, but I guess mines makes a nice impression. We talked a little bit about my character Knight- ______, he was intriqued by the concept and had to get my name before I left his area. He said he had to get his hands on my character's novel. The funniest part is that people are intrigued to get their hands on the novel, or it sounds highly interesting to them. Its not like oh it sounds good, it is something that captures people's attnetion that make them want to take time out and study something of this newer concept I am working on. I must really be on the right track :)
I also got a chance to meet webslinger922 he is a really nice guy also and he sent me the two pics that he had taken. He met Alex Ross but I did not, anyway one of Alex Ross's staff memebers came up to me and found out that I was on the floor he had to take a shot and take the picture to Alex, so I guess I will take the time out o see him in San Diego as long as I get in line early enough :)
Here are the pics guys I hope you like them.

Yeah I had a good time, so did most fo the crowd. I did not have a photo guy to take pics for me most of the time, so I was just all natural with Ray. I am usually not a picture taker of myself. You guys are awesome every last one of you that worked on that project. I know it took time and a lot of work for a 5 min film but I tell you this I can see it was well worth it.
Plans have already started rolling around in my head and in the head of others for my Knight project. The reviews and the set up looks like it is very doable. We want to do like a 20-30 min type moive just to promote the novel I am doing. It will be bits and peices of the book, but not the full book. PP0077:spidey: and MMurdock aka :daredevil: will be part of this project along with a couple others that will fly up from Florida when we are ready to do this thing. I already have people in place here with the equipment and capabillities.

Wow! I've been following this board for a few weeks and all I can say is that alot of you have some really great artistic talent!
I have to admit, I think the suit Spiderham has done looks pretty damn close to the movie suit. I think the material portion is a very tight match... the muscle shading, hexcomb pattern, and the color shift with light is amazing. I wonder what they did for the webbing on the movie suit though. I remember seeing a post on here many moons ago about taking latex rubber and pouring it into a frame and then attaching the hardened strips to the costume...
I'd love to have a spiderham built suit though. Does he do these as a side hobby, or are there a select few in existance that were made for friends.
Keep up the great work everyone!!!

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. :)
To answer all questions, I did not make the suit. Yes, I paid ALOT of money for it. The designer has requested to remain anomynous.
I shared some of the photos with my friends and family expecting them to take me for a serious loony who has lost his mind. Instead, they reacted in quite the opposite way. They are actually encouraging me to do appearences as Spiderman, however I don't know the first thing about doing anything like that.
I'm working on some new Photoshop pics. One of them is of me swinging through the city. I will post them in the next couple weeks.

The book for the knight is just about done.
Ben-Clone aka Spider-Time and I met in NYC yesterday we ate brain-stormed and talked about this project we are working on. We decided that there will be no references to Marvel DC Dark Horse or any other comics in our realm, since we shake things up with what we are doing. We are daring to be a total independant new form of comic hero writing and creation.
We have given the main character the proper name finally and this one will stick. I was the one that wanted Spider-Knight for the longest, I guess becuase I have always liked Spiderman. But every time I read a novel oh him or the comics he is looked at as being a bothersome superhero pest. As for my creation we are know calling Knight Seeker, he is the last superhero a villain or criminal would want to see. The Character is not fully hard core but you know if he shows up there will be a mess that is sure to happen.
Knight Seeker will become the ultimate hunter in our world, but he is a superhero at the same time and is always concerned about others. So yeah he does have a heart, but dont no one dare get in his way. He will also be the first superhero the world has ever seen in our created realm of existance, and everything will be of present time with present events that take place. Even 9-11 is in the book as well.
We have Costumed Vigilanties in our world as well so there are going to be some real original stories here, we will even tackle the supernatural and urban ledgends here and there.
Hmm I guess that is about it for now, from what I know about another 3 weeks the writen part of this book is done, I would say about 65%of the book is already on the computer and my editors are waiting to get their hands on it.
I hope you guys will like this new breed of Superhero that we will now call Knight Seeker (tm).

Well CGI Weapons has posted his pic in the Knight Seeker aka Spider-Knight MSN group.
This is the weapon that Sage will use, he is the main villain of the first novel.
The sword is called the 'Soul Taker' it is an enchanted sword that was forged by black magic.
I hope you guys enjoys Evan Rubin's work I am sure there will be more to come from him for the Knight Seeker Project.

Well from what I know Mick has been locked away in his lab trying to come up with the greatest Wolverine bust ever done. As for Yetter, I have no idea, all I know is that Yetter and Mick are fine they were chatting about a week ago and I did not want to disturb their conversation.
Oh and Pete Thanks for the compliments, I just hope everything we do from here on out will really bring this novel that I am working on more to life. about 2 weeks of writing left. I am at the part where the hero makes the choice to fold up and never be a hero or to keep fighting no matter what happens. Just a turning point in the hero's life I guess you say. Also he has no role models superhero wise to reflect upon, since he is the first in his realm. Talk about weight on a hero's shoulders

I like the darker colored webbing better. Just me, I'm not a fan of the red/blue with white lines. To me, it looks to 70's for my taste, 70's color schemes are not my thing. I know you're not going for that look, Tim, but it's just how I'm percieving the colors (IMO). (Nothing to do with the colors of the 70's spidey) However, I still like the quality of your suits. Ain't seen anything better! Keep up the great work!

Hey Guys
I finally started work on my custom spidey suit. Because of the complexity of the bodysuit design I'm having it made by Graphica Design. Since it'll be about three weeks before its finished, I want to start work on the lenses now.
I know that i've read on how to do this before, but i can't remember, so if anyone out there can help me with making the lenes - which will be done movie style - it would be greatly appreciated.
I also need help with the webbing, which will be alot like venom's webbing design, only raised. I need to find a flexible/stretchable webbing that will remain flexible/stretchable when its raised off of the costume. Any ideas?
Any help on this is appreciated.

Drkepoch - try this for your lenses, find a motorcycle shop or motorcycle website and order some mirrored visor inserts. This is what i have used for my lenses and they work fine. What they are, are thin strips of plastic which can be easily cut up into any shape u want. on one side u can see thru and the other side is mirrored!!
dunno what u can use for the frames though I'm still tryin to find a suitable material. Let me know if this helps.
I've not posted on here for a while and i doubt not many of you actually know who i am! but thats cos i've busy with my suit which is based on the ultimate spider-man costume. PeterParker0077 has been helping me along and I am very excited about having my own suit very soon. This weekend I was able to see PeterParker0077's suit in person, and it's amazing. He has done a great job with it. Attached is a picture of him in the suit. Thank's Peter!
I got to See HeroClix in person and it was AWESOME, everyone did a GREAT job, the suits were AMAZING! What a way to see the HULK, it was FANTASTIC.
Thanks PeterParker0077, LoganX, and the rest of the Gang!
I have a suit on order, but it will come web-less. I guess the next step, while I wait for the suit, is to buy lots of Red T-shirts to begin practicing the Webbing, Yikes!

Well yesterday I took the guys out to a convention in NYC Maddison Square Gardens. Spider-Time dressed as the Punisher and CGI-Weapons were with me, this was their first ever convention. They liked the idea of what we had verses everthing else that was coming out in the comic industry, even though we are going to be novel based for the Knight Seeker project. All in all it was a learning experience for them, and they got to make some nice contacts as I was working the field as well looking for people I might want to use for illistrations or CGI animations. Oh and -imurme- you still will have a part in the CGI of Knight Seeker have no worries I have not forgotten about yu, but I rahter have a combined staff to work on this character and novel element. The book itself will be done by July 3rd, then I will type the rest into the computer then ship off to my editors 2 weeks after. So I say by the end of the summer the book will be fully completed.
We had the chance to take a pic with Nichelle Nicoles from Star Trek so here is the pics guys I hope you like it.When Comics and Sci-Fi combine this is what you get (http://groups.msn.com/SpiderKnighttm/timessquare.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=303)

So I am tackling this by my self. I have the Plane fair, to San Diego but the expense for a Hotel is way over my budget just for a 4-day trip. So I was wondering if there are any of you guys could help me out by letting me help out with the Hotel expanse. Heck I will be glad to sleep on the Floor. I know this is a Long Shot but the Hotels are all booked. Plus ever Hotel I called is charging $125 night. That’s a Bit much for just one person. Any Way I would really like to go so I can see you guys. Plus I am bringing a costumed Classic Spider-man Villain, so take pictures with you guys in your Spider-man Costumes. I hope some one can give a Fellow Spider Brother a Break. Believe me I tried ever thing.

hi spiderboy welcome to the forum, well where do i begin...the easiest way to make a good costume is to get two full unitards with the gloves socks and mask all in one you'll need a red and a blue cut out the red sections from the unitard and sew onto the blue check out www.nydancwear.com they sell the perfect things for ya pretty cheap too, the raised webbing is usually either cast out of latex using molds ( very costly and time consuming and not for the beginner really ) most people use jonestones 3d fabric paint its highly flexible and designed for use on stretch fabrics, talking of wich you could contact spider tim on this forum he sells a wonderfull pattern for a costume he also sells a complete spidey suit kit at a very good price and if youve seen his work it is superb ! for youre lenses you can use any thin flexible black plastic for the surounds and mirrored motorcycle visor strips for the lenses, you can get these at any motorcycle store, check out www.spider-costumes.de its got some great suits and advice on how to do some neat things hope this helps ya :spidey:

I am just so glad that I am doing what I said I would that really makes me happy inside when I achieve what I said I would in a resonable time period.
Then the editors will start hacking away at the book :( yuck, but that is what they are there for. At least the book will carry its full essence of what I have created. Then any deleted parts of the book I can add to the commentary ;)
I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend thus far.
well wadaya know we hit 200 !! gotta say cheers to mick etc for starting this thread, i think we all have learned so much thanks to ya , happy 200 yall.

Nice suit Kiwi.
Am I the only one who thinks his shadow looks freaky? When I look at it by itself, I shudder to think of what is casting it. Kind of reminds me of those "things" in the movie Signs.

Frank-
Are you in the central Fl area? Lemme know. I'm interested in your film project and some convention projects I've got lined up in Orlando.

spiderman boy - Weird, we live really close to each other man, hehe. Yep, I'll keep everyone updated, no doubt about it.

If any newbies (or even oldies who dont want to sew) are looking for just a good base suit that they can do their own eyes and webbing, or want the eyes too, i am willing to make just the red and blue suit with or without eyes, If you want more info just email me at superherocloset@hotmail.com

Wow, everybody's suits are looking great. Great job!
KIWISPIDER your lines look great. Good Job!
Over the past two weeks I have been experimenting with the 3D paint on a t-shirt.
My purpose was to see what it was like to use the paint, and to see what was
involved with making the web lines.
I was really curious to see how the paint application would be.
So, I bought a fabric pen, and I began creating lines in the t-shirt.
I then began applying the paint, free hand. I can see why guides are necessary
so that will be my next level of experimentation. I am not sure how it is done,
and I welcome any suggestions. From reading past responses I think I have to
use Wax paper and flood fill certain areas. For the spider, I used one that I had handy.
This spider will not be my final spider, but I was just seeing what type of control I had with the paint.
The back of the shirt, where the largest spider is, is proving to be an interesting challenge.
I assume I must create a cutout of the spider in Cardboard or plastic to apply it correctly to the back.
I started free hand, and I stopped. I started going through so much paint and it was very uneven.
I think I have to resort to a plastic roller or squeegee like device or something.
I used half a bottle of black paint on the back so I stopped. I know the spider will be red in the end,
but Red paint on a red T-shirt is hard to work with.
So I just used black.
Everyone keep up the good work.
Any pointers, Tips, or Patterns would be greatly
appreciated. I will be starting my next t-shirt soon.

My base suit is still on order, it should be coming soon.

Critique is most welcome.

I hate you Brin Londo! Yer stuff is always so amazing. The suit rocks. I love the armour plating. And that's your personal sculpt for the Cowl, right. The eyes look different from the extremedesignsfx generic hero. The pants and the torso look like spandex. What's the armour? Latex? and the utility belt is a nice touch. Does it have an eagle on the buckle instead of a bat?
The boots are cool. Did you so those. Or did you buy them from someone else? And if so, who?
Whats't back look like? How difficult is it to get into?
I like the cabinets as well. :P
Frank- I'm familiar with Clairmont(sp?). I used to spend every other weekend there for the past year. There is a big con happening the day after Halloween this year in Orlando. I'm tackeling the resposibilty of the costume contest. I need people to help me advertise. People to show up? People that might be interested in showing a fan film (hint, hint).
Alos if you ever want to do the comic where Spidey meets Logan for the first time. We can do that. I live in Tampa. About 1 hour 15 minutes from you. I'll be up in O-town Friday, to talk to the guy running the con.
EMC- What's up with this room for $80 a night? Why don't we just stay with you? Do you know where the hotel is in refrence to the con?
