Yep. I would like to have a bunch of you guys from Florida show up at this con. You can help out with the costume contest. And compete. The first prize is like $500. It's the day after Halloween. So there should be alot of costumes. Alot of, if not the entire, 501st should be there. We could have a ton of spider-men there, as well.
I also need help promoting the con/costume contest. So if I can meet up with you guys I can give you flyers to hand out at local comic book stores. Or I can mail some to you.
Anyone in Florida interested in helping out, or competing email me at Loganx5142@yahoo.com
Thanks.

Hello everybody...
I know... i haven´t postet for a while and some of you may not know me. But i was busy in my job.
But i´m still working on my suit. Hope to finish it some day. :)

Something different:
Did you see, that on the new suit, they did not change only the front and back spider... also the inside of the gloves:
http://superherohype.com/gallery/Spider-Man/Spider-Man_2/On_Set/New_York/setpicsjuly26.jpg

Oh boy... should i start another suit before finishing the first one? :)

Best wishes to everybody...

I will search for it tomorrow.

Don´t worry... you all will be on there. Just when i´ve finished another project for the web. Because: First there comes the work, that bring money and after that, there is the fun :)

hey guys, you may wanna check out www.hollywood-costumes.com, go through the cheesy spidey suits and at the bottom youll see a new suit available, just like the suits worn at the marvel theme park, heavy duty spandex white eyes rubber soled boots, $375 dollars, i'm gonna have me one of these !!

I highly suggest you dont get it. When they say that it fits up to 44' chest, they mean ONLY a 44' chest. If you have a 34' chest, and you put that sucker on, it's gonna be loose as ever.

That doesn't mean that it stretches out from 30' to 44'...I really wouldn't waste all that money on it, but hey, that's my opinion.

Yeah I actually did it! I have to say that was a lot of work but the novel is done on my end of the fence then my editors get it. The book will be 26 chapters long, full of a lot of great stuff that I think many people will be able to relate to of many age ranges. The book is meant for a PG-13 audience. I just cant wait to see the thing in print, hoping for early next year. I doubt that Knight Seeker's story will be out before the holiday season, but hey you never know if a publishing company wants it bad enough :D

Well now I will relax for a weeks and take it easy over at San Deigo Con this coming weekend. I hope to see you guys there whoever can make it.

Take care you guys,

Well tomorrow is the day of the convention. Sorry to hear that you cant make it Wilds. I will see you at Dragon Con in Atlanta,GA though. You asked about costumes that we will be wearing. As for me I will Have I guess one fo my spiderman suits. But also I will Have a Morphus for (Matrix I) on the purple looking type suit , the only kicker is finding the right glasses. The main thing on my mind will be the KNIGHT SEEKER suit I will have that ready for that convention. Also I will have my co-worker who is Tygron also at the convention with his character's suit on, he is really syked about the whole idea of the convention, but to also have his own character that is in the novel is a big plus to him. Spider-Time will also be there as Neo from (Matrix II) along with CGI-Weapons- who will have his sister along and we all will try to do a Matrix type theme.

Spider2002 I think the best part of that costume you got there is the boots thanks for sending the pics to Imurme.:wolverine

HAM well you know how I feel about your work, Freak'n awesome:spidey:

Imurme as always thanks for doing such a great favor to us for posting these pictures that we send you.

I decided to use arcrylic plexiglass for them and I've actually had to wing the cutting with several key pieces of my knife collection. I hope this all turns out all right, cause it going to take me forever. :(

I suppose that's alright though, cause the results should be great ;)

Head over to http://www.fierce-studios.com/sin/gallery.htm . There you can see some pics of me making the first one. You can also see demo art of what the finished suit will look like.

To keep from hitting on any possible copyrights, and because it's my own variation/design - I have named the suit "SIN"

Consequently, I am also writing a story to go along with him. When I hit on chapter four or so I will post it on my site as well.

Oh, and thanks to all of you great costume makers whose works inspired me to move ahead with this project. I would never have done this if I hadn't found this forum :D

But, how do you guys possibly not kill yourselves laughing at eachother when you're walking around striking poses together. ahhh... but with a great suit comes great responsibility...

EvH,

Speaking for the appearance actors, when you're in costume out in public, you're Spider-Man. The more you ham it up with gymanstics, poses, witty banter, etc. the more fun everyone has. It may be the moment that a 7 year old gets to meet his hero for the first time and his eyes are as big as saucers. How about a 30-something guy that for a minute becomes the 7 year old cuz here's his childhood hero. This "hero respect" is what makes it all worthwhile...." Oh yeah, the comments from the ladies about your rear-end helps the motivation also....

Hey all,

I just saw the pics of Ham's ver 2 suit... unreal!

I'm curious, where do you guys get the honeycomb lycra that has the metallic shine to it?

I know the Margaret Waite site sold lycra honeycomb patterns, but judging from the website, they dont seem to be the right shades of red/blue, nor do they have that metallic gloss to them.

Can anyone offer up some suggestions as to where folks are acquiring this stuff?

I'm thinking I'd like to take a cut at making a costume, and it would be nice to eventuallyhave the right materials.

Thanks all!!!

I mean, it looks like so much fun...I'm almost dying laughing in my chair looking at those pics because I know that if I was with you three...I'd be the Spidey who couldn't stop laughing because I was having too much fun. Ya know what I mean? LOL :D

The suits look great!

Elusive -- welcome to the boards bro, and yah designing your own hero is great. I just happen to take mines to a different designing route, Knight Seeker is still a Spider in nature but much more than that.

EvH347 - Oh yeah the laughing is sure to come hanging around guys like us :D We just look at it like art. Just a fun thing to do to make people happy, and to help people to see you can be a little more out going, than just arttending a convention in City clothes. I have inspidered many to get costumes, and so have the others. Some times I feel as though I am a cult leader :D j/k but I am seen as a inspiration none the less. When you step out of your comfort zone it opens a whole new world.

And Pete0077 was right it was a great time, cant wait for Dragon Con. Also I should have my basic dark blue material full body Knight Seeker suit by Tues next week, then the fun starts and Spider-Time aka Ben-Clone puts his magic touch on to the plain suit to give it more life. We think it will be a 3-4 step process but it will be ready by Dragon Con.

Comic con was great. EMC-You get my message? Tell me you got that hotty's digits.
I can't wait for DC. Comic con was cool. But it just aint Dragoncon.
Make sure if you're goin' to DC to bring your swim suit. We could have a Superherohype pool party one afternoon.
If you guys get a chance to see Batman Dead End, take it! They premiered it at the con. It rocks!
And not a single Spiderman entered the costume contest. But they did have an X-team that won 2nd place. You guys should try and have a Venom, Carnage, Green Goblin, Spidey group do a little stunt show. You could mop up.

Oh yeah I got the hottie's digits, and guess what she lives in NJ just about an hour away ;) also she is a model and actress. We spent some time talking, and I really like her personality.

Also she wants to take a look at my project, she is a model and also I needed that Black Asian mix type for the girl friend for Knight Seeker, and she definately fits the part. I called her yesterday and she is very interested. Well also she really, really likes the suit ;) Hint hint!!! hahahhahahaha

Her character will be a stonger willed type of girl, and she can throw down, she is not an Electra, bu stronger than a Mary Jane type, and very independent. She needs to be my superhero is a Hunter and he doesn't need to baby sit his girl. The realationship will not develope until the 2nd book, but she has a good effect in this first book. When we get to making the web movie I know you guys are really going to say (DAMN and it's only a web movie, wait til the real thing comes along)

Well talk to guys soon . I am excited and I hope you guys can feel the Vibe of this project.

The Seeker is off on another Hunt. <>{ (I need an Icon) :D

...Lee's new spiderman costume...

originally emailed by Lee

Hi there everyone,
Thanks to Imurme for posting these pictures of my newly finished spidey costume (it's my second attempt). This weekend I appeared at our hospital summer fete in it, the little kids loved it (haven't got pictures developed yet) one asked me how I climbed out of the telly. I also chased after a few of my patients and one of the local vicars, it was so funny when they realised who I was. My colleagues were impressed, but I've certainly got room for improvement for both the costume and the physique of the person wearing it.

Everyone's costumes on this board are fantastic. I know this costume is nothing special compared to the likes of spiderham etc., but this info might be of help to someone. I used a cat-suit/leotard to make a pattern and adapted the pattern from this to get the blue & red parts I needed to cut out. I was aiming for a classic comic book style (as shown in the pictures). The black webbing is raised(all done prior to stitching to get a smooth effect, except for the seams), and the costume has 2 zips for mask & body at the back (MAKE SURE THE ZIPS ARE BIG ENOUGH, if using a zip along the back of the head it needs to be nearly to the top of the head). I managed to hide nearly all the seams on the torso (hence shot of spidey's armpit), & I used a white plastic mesh used for the eyes (it's meant for needle-point but gives good visibility, people can't see your eye's & it never mists up). The red lycra on the torso is all one piece to avoid seams & each of the boots is also one piece with a seam hidden by webbing running along midline of shin to the toes. I stitched on aqua soles so the boots don't get ruined outdoors(Just like spiderTim). The blue came out a bit bright using flash photography, but ideally I'd like to use a darker colour like kiwispider, SpiderTim or Wams costume next time.

The lady pictured with spidey is my mum, it was the first time she saw the costume and she got quite excited.

I also found out that locally there's a marching brass band who all dress as spiderman & they're led by the green goblin. They've been on the telly, It's a bit of a scary sight though, I'm sure spideys belly shouldn't be quite so big.

All the best,

Lee (Gloucestershire, England)

PS. To MrJ (The guy in Yorkshire) who is after blue lycra in the UK (page 201 on this board). I use Fabric Land (tel:0117 942 6155 for Bristol or 02380 232414 for Southampton shop), or try your yellow pages or a dancewear specialist. If they don't do mail order I'll quite happily buy it & send it through. My e-mail address is LeeMatthews@glospart.nhs.uk

hi lee the suit looks great , only your second attempt!! i can see why your mum was exited it looks kinda like an eaves-brookes hybrid, thanks a lot for the supplier info, i'm gonna get onto it this monday, i'm spending this weekend sculpting frames for my lenses so i can produce them in polyester, hoping to have tiny magnets to hold the lenses in place and to make them easy to remove and wipe if they fog, will also be able to switch between mirror, white or smoked lenses depending on what i feel like
again cheers for the suppliers !! more power to ya sewing machine.:D

idea for a servo operated tentacle if any of you guys need any help or advice on this kinda stuff dont hesitate to ask, as well as my spidey suit that i'm finally get completed thanks to lee's help, i'm also in the slow process of building some mechanisms for a semi animatronic goblin mask based on the classic look but with a slightly more demonic look as usual the standard of costumes gets better and better you guys are an inpiration to keep going cheers dudes

Hey Tim,

I have been using a heavy duty spandex instead, that is very tough and durable.

EMC, hee hee...that looks like one of the pics I'm working on right now. That's funny.
I bought a book to help me navigate some cool effects with Photoshop and I'm trying to make some darker stuff...I'm attempting some more sinister Spidey at night type stuff without actually being on location. It's pretty cool, it's more like art to design a location that doesn't exist and place myself into the scene.

Might take me a week or two...:)

Tim,
I want to see some new pics on your website. The baby picture is great, but me thinks that baby may have been permanently scarred gazing into your mirrored lenses. :D

yeah EVH I would like to see a darker more sinister Spider, but I think mines will take the cake, He will still have the appearance of a hero, but not so meniousing looking as Venom or Carnage, but to be sure if he showed up in any comic book no one would want to play games with this guy.

CopyWrite goes to Washington today, also had my story printed out, when I touched the pages it felt realy good all that hard work I had done to get it to this point. But in honesty It's more like I just got the the gates of the castle I am about to leave out into the real world of the industry. I am making some nice contacts with people in the movie industry. What can I say, Knight Seeker is very marketable.

Got my raw suit last night here are three pics of it.

That's right, I'm that happy. For two reasons:
1. I soooooo can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Knight Seeker (oh, EMC if you go movie wise keep me in mind for some kind of meager position :D I wanna get on the silver screen. Who knows-maybe KS could duke it out with Sin ;) )
2. I'm out at my dad's right now, and I just finished cutting two new plexiglass lenses with his bansaw (think i spelled that right...) Anyway they turned out better than i could have imagined in my wildest dreams. I hope to finish them tomorrow and have photos of them up as soon as thursday. Expect to see photos of them ON the suit by friday. Expect to have nice photos on my site of me in the nearly completed suit by sunday :D Hopefully ;).

I wonder if we have met at any of those conventions :D yah never know what crazy guy will be running around in a Spiderman suit half the time.

Hey cant wait to see those lenses -Drkepoch-

Okay Boys I will under take one more project. I will put together the original Look of SPIDER-KNIGHT the character I had the story line all writen out and ready to go for Marvel if I was hired by the company as an appearance person. But as some of you know that will never in life be possible over some certain issues that the company has with me. I should be sad about it, but HELL NO I AINT, got my own character now, and I am ready to Smoke the industry :D

This orginal first thought of Spider Knight will be a little different will look very much like Alex Ross design in it's own way. He will also still carry the sword. Also I will be using and experimenting with a different type of adhesive to do the webbing with. It is actually used on Cars. It is called RTV sillicone. It is used for Gaskets. Was told to go to Auto Zone when I was told about useing this stuff by a model maker at Comic-Con. He said it is strechable and also will stay on the lycra material better than most things known for webbing.

The main Auto Zone manager of the store came to help me find the stuff, it was funny because he asked me why I wanted the stuff. I said he would never guess. He started rolling off stuff at me for repairs of a car. Then I told him it was for a different type of Spidey suit. He was intriqued. The guy was only 20 yrs old and in chage of a store that was impressive, but he was more impressed by me, and I think I can use him in our web movie for Knight Seeker anyhow, and he wants to know more about spiderman suits. What can I say we sure can pull people out of the wood work. :)

Hey all,

Wow. It's been so long since I was here. I used to hang out here when all of the organic webbing arguements were going on. Odd that it says "newbie" and "0 posts." Guess the server's crashed a time or two since 2001 huh? :D I can remember this topic before the movie, and let me tell ya ... the activity has REALLY picked up.

Anyway, on to the matter at hand. I just finished my Jango Fett costume (yes, I'm a Star Wars geek too) and holy cow was it a LOT of work. I've started a Scarlet Spider costume, but the costume I've always wanted is Ben Reilly's Spider-Man costume. However, I just don't want to take on another costume project, as I'm not all that talented, yet a perfectionist. That's not a good combination. Don't get me wrong, my 501st buddies and I think the Jango turned out really well. It just took me a year to do!

A LONG time ago, I saw a guy (El Hombre Arana I believe it was) who posted a picture of a guy in the BR S-M costume. He was posing on a roof or something and it looked awesome. So, basically, I was wondering if that same person was still here and would be willing to help me out. OR if anyone else here thought they could do it and what the cost would be. I've been looking over the costumes here, and I gotta tell you, I'm impressed ... VERY impressed.

Please PM or e-mail me (soju_slave@yahoo.com) if you think you can help me out. I'm on the road a lot, and may not be able to respond quickly (in fact I leave for about 2 weeks tomorrow), but rest assured I AM serious about doing this. Thanks, and again ... GREAT costumes.

Well here is what we want the costume to look like once it is done for Knight Seeker. This is me wearing the suit with photo shopediting for the gold areas. This will be a simple, but great suit I believe.

Been doing a lot in the gym to make sure that I try to look as best as I can, now that the book is done and the copyright is sent in I can work more on my body now. Before most of my time went towards the book. Now we have to get going on the web movie we want to do after Dragon Con is over. SO MUCH TO DO.

Oh and does anyone know which is a great web-server to use for the web site we want to have up in about 2-3 months from now? I would appreciate any help in that department.

Oh before I forget here is the newer suit we are working on. This is not the ofical Icon yet but getting there. Knight Seeker New suit concept Using Photo shop and real image of the Raw Suit (http://groups.msn.com/SpiderKnighttm/knightseekernovelsuits.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=316)

KIWI-i still luv that suit man, what fabric did u use, it looks like it fits like spandex, but looks like it has a cloth texture. Also, i forgot how much u said it would cost for a hype member who wanted just the suit with no webbing or eyes? Ill check back to ur new site often.

First off, EMC: Knight Seeker looks like he's coming along great! The armor looks awesome.

On to the Bad Stuff... :(

I knew I said earlier that i would have photos of me in the nearly finished suit by Sunday, but (and this always happens when you set a deadline for yourself) I've run into much trouble. Mainly with the lenses. My original plan of whitening the lenses has not worked so that has been a major delay. Also the fact that the tip of one of them broke has been a huge delay.
I am taking everything in stride though, and I've set up a new date to take photos. I hope to have the completed suit (excluding webshooters) done and photographed by Tuesday Aug 12.
I am also redoing my entire site and when I finish it there will be another huge load of photos up about how I've done the webbing.

I hate delays... :(

I have had my share of that here and there, as most of us have had on this board. Hey we will get things done even if it takes a little more time. We are our own bosses there is not set time scale to what we do. I say dont worry about and show the best thing that you can when you are ready.

Good luck with getting the suit to the way you want it. I am sure that we are all behind you.

Glad to see you're still humble, Ben. The Matrix thing was cool. But the positioning /choreography could've been more sharp. The agents you're fighting most times don'tlook like they're looking at you. Or they look like they could be reacting to your strikes, stances, or the backround better. It's cool. And if you can give pointers to the other spider-men on how to enhance their pics...great. But I guess I would say just work on the "interaction" of your photo-manip subjects.

Last PS well I keep this a little quiet with more details later, but one of the costume designers for the Spiderman Movie Costumes for both movies one and two, wants to take a look at the Knight Seeker project. He saw me in suit at Comic Con had to take a picture real badly :) then we started to talk when he wanted to find out more about the costume and what I do. Then he showed me his profolio and yeah he is one of the guys that works on the actually movie costumes ;)
His job with the costumes are done and now he is looking for a new venture, and mines will probably something he may seriously take a look at. Will tell you guys more later.

Hey guys,

As I come closer to figuring out which way to go for a suit, I have these few questions to bounce off to the veterans here.
1. How is the heat factor? Are the suits hot or breathable?
2. How do you wash them? By hand?
3. I have seen one guy use a web bag so he could carry his stuff, anyone do anything else?
4. How long do you guys wear them for, I plan to use mine for Cons.

I think that is about it...thanks for the input.

Drkepoch
08-06-2003, 11:02 AM
I can only really help you with the heat factor and the washing...
1. I live in Minnesota :) So I don't think mine is very hot. Hotter climates might be different, however.
2. Always wash by hand very gently. Machine washing can damage the fabric. Always air dry too, using a dryer will most definitely damage your suit!

I hope these have been helpful :)

P.S. I finally got my new glasses :) I'm so happy :)

Frank_McKeever
08-06-2003, 12:18 PM
I got my new suit! :) I wanted to post pics but I'm not sure how to host them, or where to host them at...any help would be great.

I wore my costume for four hours the other day, and went to my aunt's house and a few friend's houses, plus my work. It wasn't that bad! It was actually pretty comfortable if you ask me...lightweight too.

If I carry my suit with me, I put it in a backpack and usually have my normal clothes on. Then, when I change out, the normal clothes go in the backpack, but I don't bring it with me. You gotta hide it somewhere...:( I can't think of any better way...

LoganX5142
08-06-2003, 01:28 PM
Hey Zendragon-
I've worn plenty of spandex in my time. And I've worn a Spiderman suit a couple of times. The Spiderman suits are some of the hottest regular spandex suits out there. 'Cause they cover your entire body. If you live Minnesota it might not be as bad as Florida. In Florida you can still wear them at cons. Because they are air conditioned. But the second you step out side you'll probably spontaniously combust. (Except for about 3 weeks out of the year)Form what I've seen at cons you should be able to walk around and pose for pictures for about 4 hours at a time.
Web bags are cool. You can make 'em or buy 'em. One of the guys that was a movie spiderman at last year's Dragoncon actualy had a small pocket over the center of his butt. Juts big enough for a photo ID, a credit card and some cash. You could do that I guess. He had a 3 inch horizontal zipper running along the bottom of the red waiste strip. Where it met the blue. You would never see it in a picture. And that zipper hole lead to a pocket.

Drkepoch
08-06-2003, 01:37 PM
Now that's a cool idea :)

Zendragon
08-06-2003, 02:22 PM
Thanks Logan...I think we met at Comic Con. I was Wolverine on one day and we did a bunch of Ultimate X Men photos when I was Cyclops (over near Stan Lee's Booth), my wife was Jean Grey and the Black Cat

4 hours isn't bad. I had no trouble with the Cyclops suit and that stretch PVC doesn't breath as much as regular spandex. But once you cover your head...that changes everything. I would imagine that pulling the mask down once in a while helps.

I can't imagine being in the Bat suits that those guys over at Gotham Public Works wear. That has got to be hot.

dorcphish
08-06-2003, 02:56 PM
Actually, those batsuits breath better than you may think. Sure, the lycra undersuit is coated with latex to match the latex armor pieces but the entire back is left open. The GPW guys use the same technique. I wonder if anyone had considered making a spidey-suit out of latex coated spandex??

Hellooooo Spiderfans!!!!

How are you all!!! Well, first i will introduce myself..... my name is Mikel and I am a 19 years old medicine student who lives in the basque country, in the north part of Spain. I Like music, surf, girls, pizza and Spiderman!!!! yeahhhh!!!! Since I was really young I like spiderman, and i always wanted the costume.... but my parents used to buy me superman ones...... snif snif.... anyway, some time ago I decided to get a costume by Myself, but all the ones I find look like PIJAMAS!!!! the are so -----, they are not tight like the comic, the movie or your ones!!!! sooooooo, I decided that the only way of having a good tight spiderman costume was doing it by myself.... I started searching on the net and i found plenty of interesting website like tims one or www.spider-costume.de, where I got many ideas for the costume!!! then I asked Tim an eric (knoght seeker) some questions for mi difficult work.... and Eric sent me here to fin the information; the thing is that there is soooooo much information here that i would need over 2 weeks to read all what you have written during these years!!!!!

sooooo, i think is better if i ask the questions and maybe one of you can help me..... lets goooooo!!!!

I am going to buy 2 lycras, one blue and one red.... what kind of special lycra do i have to ask for in the shop???? the next thing is... how do I stick the red lycra into the blue one????? Tim told me to sewn them, but I dont know how to sewn!!! is not any kind of glue?????????

Another problem is the webbing... Tim told me something about acrylic paint, how do I use it???? where do I buy it????It wont go away with the cleaning and the washing?????

The final problem is the mask, how do I get my head shape for it???? and the eyes..... I dont really like the mirror eyes, is there anything white like in the comics???? and the most important thing, is the anything white that let me see, but dont let anyone see my eyes????????

I will be looking for your help, cos i would like to start now that i have holydays!!!! please, help me with the problems

-Which kind of lycra buy
-How do I stick the red to the blue one
-Webbing (acrylic???)
-mask shape
-white eyes
-is not the costume too fragile for the washing and cleaning????

thanks a lot!!!! i will be around here since these day!! and i will sent you photos when i finish my costume!!! my email adress is mikel_luzuriaga@hotmail.com and my web site http:usuarios.lycos.es/lurzuri where will find some photos!!!

thanks everyone!!!!!!

Hey and I could do Green Lantern, but hey I got the Knight Seeker suit being done, the Shiny Spidey suit that we are doing the mask alterations to next week, Lets see Also Jax from Mortal Combat, I may have a Superman suit but a different style just thinking about the design, Venom non-monster mask - the monter mask is really hard to deal with the regualr mask is much better, Selling the Alex Ross suit I believe not sure yet. OH yeah and lastly :) the original Spider-Knight Suit that I was planning o have the drawings done for marvel of my idea. The story still sits here in my room, I would just like to see how the suit will look ;)

Well ZenDragon, and Brin Welcome aboard the USS Dragon Con.

PS Mikel- Spiderboy happy to see that you made it here. I am sure the guys can help in your venture. As for me I am not a maker I am more of a concept designer when it comes to suits.

Just to name two. I have had amazing support from Readyhosting, they don't support my message forum or MySql though if you ever want to run a forum. But otherwise, I run video clips, tons of photos, they don't monitor bandwidth and they run stable. I have a busy site too and no issues with them.

Dorcphish- Have you ever worn one tof those suits? Yeah the back is open. But then it's covered by the cape. And most of those guys from the brotherhood fo the bat wear dive suits underneath all that latex. AND than ,as if that wasn't bad enough, your head is covered by a latex cowl. There's no were for your sweet to go except out the face opening. Thiose suits are great for losing about 2 pounds a day. I had a bat suit and that Daredevil suit. And it'll be a looong time before I ever wear anything like those again.

HI spiders!!!!!

How are you all??? here i am going with my spider costume... i am waiting to receive the body lycras and i have to go to look for the acrylic paint for the webbing.

Hey... i though about some new ideas for the costumes... maybe you like them: for the boots i am going to use my surf boots; i am going to stick them to the lycra, using a super strong glue, becouse the are cheap, confortable for walking and they have the same shape as the spiderman ones!!! (you one, like a triangle)

The next idea i wanted to tell you was about the mask and the spider eyes. Somebody told me about automotive tint. I have been thinking about motorcicle helmets.... well, not the helmet, the crystal or that plastic piece where you look through the helmet (i dont know the english name). Well, there are some of those pieces that are like mirrors, but they are made up from platic so it is easier to work with and also cheap, beacouse you can just buy that piece in a motorcicle shop, you can buy the piece, cut it with a cutter and put them in the mask

i hope you enjoy my ideas for the suits. I will start with my one as soon as i receive the lycras and i will send you pictures as soon as i finish my costume!!!

good luck!!

Well I had my very first Spiderman Appearance and it was awesome. Recently I traveled over to the Space Coast and I found an old space ship with this black ooze on it. I touched the ooze and look what happened. I wonder if the guys at Nasa know. Adorned in my new Black suit I swung my way over the cityscape and met up with Logan and PeterParker. Wolverine and Spiderman were awesome to hang around with. They showed me the webs and I had a blast. I will be at DragonCon, and I look forward to seeing everyone, and their cool suits.

Hey Thanks Drkepoch, I appreciate the comment. Oh and here is another one for you guys to take a look at The messenger of the Matrix (http://groups.msn.com/SpiderKnighttm/pictureorthefounder.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=333)

Hey PeterParker3k, I am glad you got the suit nice and ready to show, and peterparker0077 is great to hang around along with all of his friends, I am fortunate to be part of that group even though I am so far away. And thanks for the compliments on my project I hope to have the Knight Seeker suit done by the end of next week.

OKay it's been a few days I got some catchin' up to do.
1) Emc with hair is weirdin' me out. But cool Jax.
2) Tygron is awesome. I'd love for him to meet my character. Gotta get some pics with him. HIs suit looks similar to the Wolverine I'll be showing for the first time at DC.
3) Ben- You Punisher is pretty sharp, bub. Great pics. Gotta get you and Capt.Chaos together. Sorta like a comic/movie shot.
4)PP3k. Glad you had a good time. Consider that a warm up for DC. You were tlaking about wanting to hang with me? Well there's a party at DC that you'll get your first chance. I tell ya what. I'll even be nice enought to carry ya back to your room, after you're drunk under the table.
5)Zen I sent that email.
6) And that's for everyone going to DC. There's a party that wasn't there last year but is back this year. Shils. Check it out at Shils.com I pormise it's the best party at DC. And it's free. The booze, the woman, the dancing (if there's room). And it's all free. They got a tip jar at the FREE bar. But other than that it's free.
I'm gonna be putting that healin' factor to the test.

And don't put Shils into a search engine. Just type www.shils.com into you address bar. Than go to the messages section, look for the thread shilsatdragoncon. Than Dragoncon 2003. Put if you're going. So we know to look out for ya. Ben, Emc, PP3K, Blaze, Zen, all y'all. We gonna party like it's 199...damnit.:wolverine

That was what I had done but for some reason it didn't come up. I'm gonna try to make it there. I may and may not take my spidey suit. I haven't kept up with hardly anything this year except making my star wars props and needless to say my stomache needs a chainsaw taken to it. At least I'm honest with you guys.

Dang it! Now one of my lenses slipped and got plastic welder on the visible area! A motorcycle shop should have something that can be used shouldn't it? Or a welders clear face mask and window tint? Also should I cut out the original eyes of the suit? It's a margaret waite suit.

Hey Logan, Sounds like a plan. Since you have the healin factor you might just have to drag this Spidey back to his room. My Spider Sense will be on hyper drive at Dragon Con. :spidey:

I see someone has some time on their hands :) Nice going EVH.

As for me its a shame that the RTV stuff did not adhere to the black lycra suit for my Spider-Knight Costume. But When I pulled it off it did keep it's shape and it kept flexability. So I think I will try this out I will squeeze outlines of the clear silicone onto some wax paper. Then I will paint the silicone with the gold jones tones puffy paint. After that I will put glue onto the suit for the parts I want the webbing on, then apply the silicone that is painted. I hope that works  Oh well we will see by the weekend

I could really care less what people think ... it's too much fun to give up just 'cause someone thinks it's weird or dumb. I meant no offense to anyone. I seriously think anyone who can make one of these costumes is an artist in their own right. It takes a lot of time, effort, research and money to do it right.

Funny how the people who think only a geek would dress up as a comic book/movie character are the same people asking to pose with us for pictures though, huh?

well in all honesty now adays people have very little imagination, or drive to see things as they could be, not as they are presently. Originality is another thing that is really lacking now adays also. I just wish people would open their minds more instead of watching tV all the time, and pick up a good book. WELL LETS HOPE THEY PICK UP MINES TOO ;)

But anyway its good that you like what we do and I hope you will have your own type of superhero suit some day, who says it has to be Spidey anyway? :)

Ash- Oh boy have you guys ever met Ben-Clone in person? OH boy are you guys in for a treat :D It will be my job to keep Spider-Time aka Ben-Clone and PeterParker0077 seperated since I know those two will be at it the whole convention. Well costume designer just called me up, she wants to work on the whole thing today and ship it out to me. She is really excited about the whole thing, and her husband is flipping out about the suit, he may want one since he likes mid-evil type of look just that mines is just of a Knight type of today. Those two are excited about where the character goes from here, but also they are in line to carry my personal stamp of my costumes to be made by them for sell to customers.

Lets see hmm Spider-Time aka Ben-Clone is working on my costume SpiderKnight today. (he just called damn he's quick gota leave now  ) Yes the orginal Spiderknight that was meant for Marvel comics til I altered the looks and his powers, along with this better origin story that now Knight Seeker has. Cant wait to get that suit done today.

Last and certinly not at all the least what so ever. Had a late lunch with my private editor. This guy is really really really awesome. He did not just correct any sentence structure he actually got himself so invovled with the story that he actully remembered stuff from other chapters as he was editting and waiting to se how things developed or see if a reader that may read it will have questions about the way I was telling the story. He is going to be with me long term I think. He is young and has a great personality but he is also up on current words and phrases of the younger crowd, that is a great advantage to have him working on my project. He also wants to look into editting the web movie script we will start working on after Dragon Con.

I must say a lot of things are going on I am just lucky to have a gifted hand of people working with me throw this, but also they are not foolish they have seen things come and go, and fly by night stuff, but this project is something that sweeps them away and they want to see this thing make it to the top, so I am happy to have the characters and the stories that will hopefully in all good time make that possible.

Tim,
Uh yeah, I'd be concerned too. As someone who is familiar with your work, I was just as confused as you probably were.

Here's what you do...first contact the seller and inquire WTF is going on. I took a look and the seller is clearly misrepresenting the product. Even if it was one of your suits, the seller should not be using your pics to advertise it without your consent, nor should the seller be using three different pics to advertise one suit.

tim is that cheeky sod using pictures of you on ebay, seems like
ebay needs to look into that $2500 is one hell of a lot to lose to a potential conman or at very least a plagarist, ripping of anothers art and passing it off as your own is a very low act ineed.

The suit is not a suit that I have sold in the past and is thus being resold. If that were the case then pictures of my suit from my website are not necessary.

Also, I have not sold a suit to anyone in NJ. As well, I have had some friends ask this guy questions and he responds that he needs 7-8 weekes to get the suit made after he sells it.

I now understand what he's up to.

We'll see how his auction goes and thus what happens.

Sounds to me like the guy is trying to play "middle-man". He charges somebody $2500 (that is if someone goes for the "buy it now") and takes that to pay you $1000 for your suit.

You deliver him the suit to his specifications and he delivers the suit to somebody else...and he gets the $1500 profit.

Either way, the minimum is $1500 and he's going to make something of a profit if this is the seller's plan.

I mean come on...the seller is using all three suits to sell just one type and then uses your exact phrasing to sell the suit. He acts as though he's the one who is going to make the suit and the way I see it...the seller intends to use you down the road to fullfill the order.

I wonder what he would do if you turned him down? It'd be kind of hard to turn down any type of sale though wouldn't it?

I still don't like the fact that the seller uses your method of advertising to sell a product that is yours and without your permission. The whole thing stinks. I think if I were you, I would demand that the seller clarify the auction details and if the seller refused...I wouldn't hesitate to report it to fraud. No matter how you look at it, whoever is stupid enough to bid on that is not going to get what is in those pictures and they are not going to get a product exactly as described in that auction.

It's a total shame when a fella like you gets used like that. PLEASE, don't let the few bad apples out there stop what you're doing. You inspire us all and deserve the best. You have my support in whatever you do. Good luck Tim.

Hey Tim,
Is the seller using pics copied from your site, or is he putting traffic on your Sites pics? If he is using your links then here is something you can do. Once he has a bid , go and change the pictures but use the same address. Then when someone goes to his auction all they are going to see is whatever picture you have up. You have to do this only after somebody has placed a bid, because once a bid has been placed the seller can't change his listing, he can only change his listing up until sombody has placed a bid. And you can change your pics because they are yours. My brother told me about this when sombody was using his pics and putting alot of traffic on the server that he was renting space on. If you were to put some porn pics up the seller would then get into trouble for having porn in his listing and he'd have a heck of a time trying to explain that he was stealing sombodyelse's material.
