Another great job by Spider-Ham. Enjoy the suit Blaze and I hope to see you at the next Dragon Con.

Sorry that I have not posted in a while, I have been so busy with my own project, but I think all of you will understand in the end. My posts for Knight Seeker kind of takes away from this forum, and I hope to have my own board someday. Until then all the best of luck to you Spidey guys. This Spider is on a different path from the rest.

Unfortunately I won't be at DC this year. My bosses say "nobody" gets vacation time at that time of the year. Thanks for the good comments on the suit too. Once I got it I wished I hadn't had to wait so long to do so.

Hi, I'm new here, but I lurk all the time. I'm having a movie accurate suit made soon. My question is about the lense... Is the Clear Vinyl you guys use slightly blur or is it as clear as glass ? Oh yes, what exactly is white mesh ? Is it some sort of netting or a fabric with a loose weave ? I'm currently using my custom grinded and heat shaped acrylic lense with chrome tint and foam lense holders. I remember someone selling casts of the screen used lense holders. Oh yeah... Kudo's to Spider Tim 7, SpiderJack, Bob Cassey and Ben Yetter ! You guys are totally awesome !!! Spider-Ham too for that matter ! I am wondering what blue did they use in them movie suit ? I am currently debating on Navy, Royal Blue or Perri ( Matches Spidey 2 to me )

Thanks, Xeno

Wow, great suit! Just a word of advice..you spent soo much time on it, take some good pics, use good lighting, don't your messy bedroom as a background. At least go outside! LOL The suit is awsome. Are those the webs from the mold? Is that Bobby C's suit?

Those were taken inside due to the weather outside at the time and the ONLY reason it's not straight in there is I had been building props and hadn't had the chance to clean yet. Otherwise it would have been outside.

I pulled this guy over yesterday and he jumped out of the car and angrily yelled, "why you got to be all up in my grill dog?" LOL

I was like, "what?"

Anyway, he had a really cool Spiderman shirt on and it actually got us talking and we parted happily. LOL

It was funny. Spiderman minimizing conflict in the world. LOL

Hey there,

I'm interested in making my own spidey suit, too. However, I really want to go for Ultimate Spider-Man as opposed to the Movie version. Has anyone else tried that version of the suit, and, if so, are their pictures of it? I'm curious to see how other's turned out.

Thanks.

Heh. Thanks... I had a great birthday weekend down here... yet, having a suit like Wamsīs would be the bomb. I am asking spider-mex if he can cook something like Wamsīs but ... with my size. Iīm 6ī6" tall....

The positive side of that, is that Wams inspired me to get back to the gym as soon as I recovered from the nasty infection I had in my right leg. And results, so far, have been really positive.

This is a nice material to wear under clothing for comfort against heat or cold. It is NOT a muscle suit.

Atheletes wear them as do other professions like law enforcement. I even wear my under armor under my uniform at work (sheriff).

It is great stuff - and is nice to wear under the spidey suit as well.

You can get it at pretty much any sports store..

You know your suit, its the bomb. I rarely will post here because I am so involved in my own work for my characters.

Hope to see some pics of you guys at the movie on opening night. I will be with friends in NYC on opening night, and yes I will be in full suit. This may be the last year I will be doing any spidey wearing, I am just becoming more obsessed with my own character. The short film is done and now being editted. I have already seen some of the footage. Did you guys think that Batman: Dead End was a work of art? I sure as heck say it is, but they had a really good budget. As for mine well no big budget, but quality shooting and quality actors.

Yetter I cant wait to see the suit on you, I know you will make it movie quality in appearance, or even surpass the movie quality. Much thanks to Bobby C for putting the materials together.

Thanks guys! If you guys ever need some sort of therapy to work the kinks out of your life, don't try web gluing it'll drive ya batty!! To answer some of the questions:

-All the webbing, lens frames and chest spider were sculpted and molded by Bobby C. They are different forms of polyurethane that make up the softness / hardness of the material.

@ EMC: Cant wait to see that movie bro! I still watch the BatMan Dead End once in awhile, looking forward to seeing your character in action.

I just got my first Spidey costume (i've been following the board since it started, though) and i plan on doing birthday parties and stuff like that with it. I currently do parties as Elmo, Barney, Winnie the Pooh and characters like that. They are easy... just play music and dance around for 45 minutes. But what do i do with the Spidey Parties??? anyone do parties or corporate events with their costume besides pose and take pictures? lemme know what you guys do. thanks a lot!

Great job Ben! , but in all honesty I have to say 8 months of waiting for something like this is really nothing . especially for the price . . and the qaulity of the changes that were made during the 8 months. what I mean is Ben never lets something sit he is always working on it . and has the thing called family (very time consuming) and a 9to5 , Jason you are on your way too finding that out . (ha ha) No seriously . Your going to love it . he made me a pair of Nightcrawler pants that are dead on acurate . he should change occupations.
not to mention Ben always gives extras for time lost.

Spider-hunter,

You first need to have an "online" photo hosting site. Try http://photobucket.com/ it's free. What you do is create an account then upload you're pictures to that site. Then just paste the tag line into your messages here or on most other forums and you're pics will magically appear. Once you get your pics uploaded to photobucket and you still need help putting them here let me know and I'll help.

Spider-hunter,

I think it just looks to be silver from the photo. I bet that the material that it's made out of is a bit reflective and so that it looks more metalic like. But if you look at it in the movie you can tell that it's black.

I believe the correct color on the Spidey 2 lenses are gun metal as well as the chest spider. You can see it clearly in the pics of the Movie costume at www.spider-costumes.de Spider Hunter, your lense and chest spider are awesome !!! Care to share on how they were made ? Thanks

blaze269

The spider and lenses are black. The variances in color are due to lighting in the different pics that are out there. Notice the webbing. In some instances it looks silvery and some it looks black. Just as mine on my new suit does.

Xeno
06-24-2004, 06:31 AM
Well, that's why I mentioned the color as to gun metal. Gun Metal appears black in dark lighting and it appears silver in bright lighting and gun metal in most shots seen, that I believe is the color Larry Mallot ( Spider-Ham ) used.

Neither is the chest spider in that shot. So are we to beleive that there is really no black used on the SM 2 suit? If anyone has seen any of the DVD extras you will remember that the color WAS NOT changed on the eyes and spider. Just the size! if not, then go and watch the thing and see. But as you say..........The spider in that pic isn't black either so maybe we are all being lied to in the DVD.

Well, I'd have to disagree, look at the pic you posted and the one in my pic. Both are in the same proper lighting. Spiderfan09, yes, I have to agree with you in my pic as the sun is glaring on it, that's why the eye frames and chest spider look silver and in the first pic that spider-hunter posted, it is black with a hint of gunmetal at the top. spider-hunter, I've gotta disagree with you that the lense are silver and the front spider is black. I am 98% sure that the eye lense is gun metal, it show's black in certain lighting, mettallic grey in some and silver in sun shots. As for the chest spider, I am PRETTY SURE it's not black, look at the pics, as you can see, they are of the same tone as the lenses in both shots. Check out Spider-Ham's suit, his chest spider is gun metal.

PS : If you're not sure what gun metal is, check out Cyclops Visor color in X2, that's gun metal.

It's about time someone else sees the truth! They DID NOT change the lense colors. And NO it wasn't the first one. It's the deluxe edition with the suit commentary on it. Anyhow enough of this debate about BLACK lenses. Here's another shot of my suit.

I can help with that question.
I wondered that before, but alot of the guys wear them for charities to help children , fund raisers , promotions . etc

The point for some is to make some extra cash. Others may enjoy it. I can say this, it isn't an easy task. Don't tell me you read all 258 or so pages without being the least bit curious yourself;)

They look great and all but dont you kinda feel ashame to actually wear this stuff outside in public?

You've obviously never seen a kids face light up when they see you in the suit. Besides, what fun would Halloween be without dressing up? I know plenty of adults that still do on that night.

I understand people that are making them to sell them but people that actually buy those, I seriously do not understand you...

Maybe thats the problem? You're way too serious?:D To each his own. I know what group I'd rather hang out with. ;)

For some people its also a way to understand the character. I know that I personally would love to own a suit by yetter or tim, or some of the other craftsman here someday too. Everyone has their own reason for the things they do. I know that I want one simply cause I think they're cool 8) and I'm a loyal fan that wants a piece of spiderman history in my closet :D
Unfortunately the cash is not so readilly available...

I understand people that are making them to sell them but people that actually buy those, I seriously do not understand you...

We buy them because we're fans of the character.
We do it for the same reason James Bond fans spend 1000s
of dollars on props that don't actually do anything. It feels
good to own something that only a few others are able to
have as part of their collections. It's really that simple.

To a child Spiderman is bigger then life. I have many times as Spiderman seen the reactions of children and they honor every word spidey says. It is so important for us adults to somehow inspire children to do there best and to be confident and to know that the world is at there feet. I myself have two little girls who tell their friends that their daddy is Spiderman. LOL

I visit kids in schools, hospitals and the like. I try to encourage them to read lots of books, to do there best and to make lots of friends. I even get children who will not eat because of deadly illness, to actually eat and their parents are overwelmed. They eat because Spidey asked them to. That my friend, is what you can do wearing tights in public.

I have no quims about wearing a spidey suit in public, I do it all the time. I would think that one who is unsure of their sexuality or who lacks confidence would be one to put down someone who does wear tights in public.

Also, making the suits is great because it helps me pay bills. Everyone knows that cops make no money. It also allows those who buy a suit to do the same thing. They go out and build a kid's heart up. I get lots of pics and emails from guys who bought a suit from me and they share about how they have been making appearances and how the kids react and are so excited. It's like gospel. LOL

As a law enforcement officer, I play spidey and try to bridge the gaps between community policing and the children. Some parents actually teach their kids that cops are bad people. As spiderman, I can inspire and encourage children to trust and to make friends with police. My Sheriff, the Police chief and most cops in my town know I am Spiderman and it is wonderful. We all have fun with it.

You can do so much as Spiderman. It is not about making money and trying to have spidey powers. It is healthy to fantasize and try to remain a child at heart. I have loved spidey since I was 5 and have always wanted to be like spiderman. Now that I am grown up, I am gonna be SPIDERMAN, DAMMIT!! LOL

Most importantly, for the record, I do not charge anything to make spidey appearances. I do it for fun. Thus the name, Spiderman4Fun.

Oh - BTW - the trim around the lenses and the chest spider are actually green. LOL

Tim, I coulndn't have said it better. I too am in law enforcement, and have found the profound joy that you see in the eyes of the kids you meet when dressed as their favorite superhero. There's nothing like it.

BTW, my new suit is finally finished but the weather hasn't been the greatest around here in Ohio. So as soon as the sun breaks I'll have some pics. Hopefully before the opening of the movie. LOL

Hey watch yourself tim, my dads a cop. LOL, they make pretty good pay actually, not that of a plastic surgeon, but not so low that they are forced to live on the street.

I have to agree with tim here. Why do james bond fans pay thousands for a grappling hook watch that doesn't work?

Why do fans of rock stars pay hundreds for something like a beer can from the lead singer?

I myself have a spidey costume. It may not be the best of the best like these guys', right now, anything is fine for me. and when I get old enough, I will buy one of their costumes. Could be tims, spiderjacks, spiderhams, bobby c.'s, yetters. But the whole point is, we do it for FUN. Because it is the character that we idolize because of his bravery and because I think we all share his message, "with great power comes great responsibility".
And no, we don't think we will magically get his powers.:spidey:

P.s., green around the eyes and spider?

Spy-D and Myself recently went to the Spiderman 2 Premiere in LA and wanted to post a review of the premiere and movie with pictures of the Premiere.
I made a Spider-Man 2 suit for myself and an Alex Ross Spider-Man suit for Spy-D for us to appear at the premiere in. The response was amazing! Media and fans were stopping us everywhere to get pictures, film and sound bites. Before the celebs arrived we were asked to go down on the RED CARPET to do an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live. They sent Uncle Frank dressed as “Uncle Spidey”, which was hilarious. After we talked to them many of the other media outlets asked us to pose or interview us; many were national and international media.
We were ushered back to the bleachers and the celebrities started to arrive. The entire cast was there and several spotted us and acknowledged us. First Alfred Molina pointed us out, waived and gave the thumbs up. Next Rosemary Harris also saw us and was very nice in her complements of the costumes, she also gave us the thumbs up. I was able to move further down in the bleachers so I could get closer and Kirsten Dunst was next in line. She saw me and said “Cool Costume!” I responded “Thank You!” Last and certainly not least, was Sam Raimi. At that time I went to the front of the bleachers. I got his attention and when he saw me he did a double take, I’m sure he wasn’t expecting to see Spidey in the stands. He then said “Cool Costume!” I said “Thanks!” then he started to walk closer and said “Did you make it?” I said “Yes!” he said “Cool!” then asked, “What’s your name?” I said “Larry” then we shook hands. Then I pointed out Spy-D and his suit and Sam’s eyes got wide again. He was also very complimentary of that suit as well. Then they shook hands. Sam Raimi is truly a class act and I can not say enough about how cool he is. When some celebs won’t even look at the fans he went out of his way to shake our hand. After that we went to the theatre to see the film. We watched the entire movie in our suits.
I can not say enough about how great this film is! Mr. Raimi has again raised the bar for what a comic book movie should be. It really is a much better film then the first in every way and I loved the first film. The opening credits start out with paintings done by Alex Ross that emphasize some of the key scenes from the first film. And they are great! They show the scenes in a different perspective and add a new twist to the scenes with an amalgam of Alex Ross style classic Spider-Man and movie Spider-Man. This movie is much more fun then the first in all aspects. It doesn’t feel as stiff as the first and it has much more interesting filming and camera work and many scenes are classic Raimi, which work and work well! There is way more Spidey and him doing Spidey stuff. The mix and balance and quality of the story is perfect. Every performer gives a fantastic performance. You could not ask for a more talented or better group of performers for this film. Bruce Campbell’s cameo is great and hilarious. This movie pays homage to the comic in many ways and has many cameos and references to other characters in the Spidey and Marvel Universe. The action scenes are great, and the CG works. The interaction and drama between the characters is brilliant and could not have been better. The emotional aspects of this movie are beyond anything ever done in a superhero film. The plot twists are completely unpredictable. Like all great movies it has layers to it and really has a positive message that everyone can learn from. When it’s all over it makes you wanting more and wondering what is going to happen next. I can not wait to see this movie again and can’t wait to see what they do next in Spider-Man 3. I wish I had 8 arms so I could give it eight thumbs up.

EVH347,
I actually wasn't nervous, I think because I had prepared myself mentally for a long time, I knew if we went there like that we would get a lot of attention, and I told myself for a long time to just stay cool when it happens. But I still never thought we would get to the red carpet and never thought we would be seen by so many. I just remember thinking how cool it was to be on the red carpet being interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel and the rest and I didn't want to do or say anything that misrepresented spider-man, marvel or sony. Especially because I was really just a fan not an appearance person.
Yep we watched the whole thing and it was great. I really never got hot at all in the suit and actually when it the sun started to go done it was starting to get chilly. I have definitly had web lines imprinted over my body before it's an odd thing to see, but I have been able to find a more flexible material and haven't had that happen much any more.

for those of you who wear your Spidey suits at various events...does anyone carry a web bag or something to store there belongings? I need something for a little cash and a small camera, maybe a room key.

Thanks guys!

Zen,
We were lucky enough to have someone with us to carry our wallets and take pictures. It helped out a lot becuase there is no room in a spidey suit to carry anything.

Zendragon I often wear shorts under the trousers and put small things in there, but a wallet bulges out. I also made my own utility belt outta funky foam that goes under my suit and made lots of foam type pouches to store cash and room keys if i'm at a hotel. Camera though I have to get someone else to hold normally.

yeah its tricky work with the cameras and stuff liek that. You can make a small web ball and tight nitched so that you can carry stuff in it, or even go to a girls store. I know doesn't sound right but they have some netted looking typs carrying bags taht could represent a web or sorts. Just a thought.

hey spiderham u have the best suit i've seen.. i'm curious though for the brick/honeycomb pattern is it silkscreening? and if so, do u make up the whole suit first, then get it silkscreened? then apply the raised webbing?

one more thing to airbrush the shading on, did u go out and pay top dollar for a professional job? or even go out to a toy store, and grab an airbrush for a model car kit, or something.

Ok, have some bad news on the webshooter front. If you didn't know, Diamond Select had made some replica web shooters that were for display only. You can't even wear them and things didn't work on them. Kinda just here they are.

http://www.spidermantoyvault.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=139

Supposedly, a company called Factory X was going to make web shooters that you could wear, take things off, buttons work and it was supposed to be waaaay cooler. I just got off the phone with someone at the company and they said that they will not be making anything for Marvel. They said that they did not want to purchase the license. I said, "I guess you didn't want all that money!" She laughed and said that the price was too high for a startup company. Guess someone else will have to make them for us diehards. Bobby C, isn't that something you could sculpt easily??

im up a little later then usuall and saw something about webshooters and i have this link saved in my favorites http://www.retroprops.com/ It looks like this company could possibly make the 70's style version of the webshooters. I thought I had a link for the 2000 style ones, but i think ive only really seen pics, not any prop companys which might make a 2000 year style pair of webshooters. I'm pretty sure they are only props and that don't truly dont work. At least though, you'd have a pair of webshooters to wear, if you so wanted too. I just thought I'd pass on a tidbit of info to you Spidey Fanatics :)

Hi! I've not posted here in a long time. I must say that I am VERY impressed with all of your work!! The movie costumes look incredible. I've made a couple of costumes myself but they are more of the comic type suit. pictures of my suit are waaaaay back in the first few pages of this thread,"if they're still there", I haven't checked. Anyway I was wondering if anyone would tell me what you're using to make the raised webbing on your movie suits? I'm considering making one "a movie suit" but I can't seem to figure out how to get the webbing right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

WOW, great suit. I love the shapes of the webs using the molds, but am I wrong, it doesn't look like it is very strong. I noticed a broken piece on the front, will that start to happen to all? Can you fix whatever tears? It's kind of the same thing as my Blockbuster Statue. I have seen some that have the webbing broken and once it snaps, you are kind of screwed. What about the eyes? Is it the pic that makes it look see through or is it really like that? You should find out how Spidertim made his eyes white.

SpiderManYetter
07-01-2004, 11:57 AM
A couple of things about webbing. A) It can only stretch so far and that stretch depends upon the type of material the webbing is made of. Sizing is critical. B) The movie suits were constantly under repair. They were always gluing & re-gluing broken joints and snags. It's just the nature of the beast. Printed webs would have made a much more durable suit.

Bobby C told me that someone is working on some webshooters that will blow our minds, anybody know anything about this? I have a great idea for working webshooters (not web fluid obviously) but shooters that could shoot water pretty far with the press of a button, anybody good at fabricating?? I will try, but it will take me way too long to get up to speed on the learning curve. I spoke to the Prop master from spiderman 1, he was a very nice guy. He told me that he would let me know who fabricated the original webshooters for the movie that were not used. He was upset that they didn't use them also and told me the whole story about Sam and how he didn't want them. Anyway, if you are handy and know a thing or two about electrical devices and fabrication, give me a buzz, we might be able to do something really cool.

Hey Superhero Bro's

Im making a Fan film based on a script we've put together called
Batman: Caught in the Spiders Web and its basically about how Peter Parker goes to gotham on a job for the daily bugle and when he turns into Spider-man he keeps getting in batmans way, in the final sequence Batman has enough and the two batttle, but by the end of the movie they team up to fight Two-Face scarecrow and the joker. Were in preproductions now and we start filming the first week of August. What i need to know is this:

I had a Full latex Batsuit made, very nice, one of the best out there, but for spider-man all i have is a Spider-ham movie 1 suit that doesnt fit my actor at all. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that i could rent the costume from them for about 2 week to film with? Please help me out guys!

My suggestion is stay away from everything but latex based paint. I've had foamies melt away from spray paint and oil based paints. Most paint or hardware stores have a color matching system. Take a scrap of your red material to the store and make some latex paint to match it perfectly.

All in a good cause. Wal-Mart in my area was having a DR Pepper Promotion, with Spiderman also in the store. One of the guys that works there knows me, and was begging me to go in the manager's place of being spiderman. He said he was out of shape and the costume was terrible. So what can I say I love this stuff. We raised a very good amount of money for the Childrens network for Handicap Kids. I enjoyed it and stayed 3 hours the customers were thrilled. I love to give my time to charity it really makes you feel good on the inside, besides wouldn't the real Spidey do it if he had time to. It's the holiday so I might was well have a blast.

Now thanks to lots of posters I have been getting, I am about to start design and manufacture of a "close to real one" suit.

First I need to *train myself* I understand it.

Second, I'll get the best lycra cotton fabric I can hold to. I want to try to make this time on lycra-cotton.

Third I need to have it screened, and I've got a friend who can do that job.

Fourth I'll have my seamstress do the body suit with all the care in the world.

Fifth I'll need to develop technology to make the webbing close to truth. My current paint technique is cool as it is very resistant yet I want it *raised*.

:)

Wish me luck. I'd rather buy a costume from spidermanhype yet with 20 dollars a day wage I can't :(

Ok so from what I understand to make the webs you have to sculpt with oil based caly, mold with silicone, and cast with urethane. Is this right? If so how do I get the clay flattened out? I tried a dough roller, but the clay would just stick to the roller and make a mess.

Thanks

Yetter,

Nice tatoo...you're scarred for life now!:D

Talked about the same kinda thing with a friend of mine...he said...

"You can't do that you'll grow out of it and feel ashamed of your Superhero tatoo in a few years"

My response...

"Grow out of it? What am I 12 years old? I'm 26 years old...I'll never grow out of it..."

Strange how some people can't see past Comic Book characters being for anything other than children.

The only way this is coming off is if I lay my bike down again wearing a wife beater.... lol. Thought the logo was too cool and would make a great tat...besides, it's got sentimental value. Bobby scored an orginal spider from 2, I scanned it, you see the results...O.K. maybe Im a little quirky but it makes a great convo piece.

I want to get a tat on somewhere like my ribs or something. It's going to be as if I have been cut and inside the red and webbing are gonna be showing. Or since the location would work, it could be both the blue and red showing.Nice lookin one you got there Yetter!!! That would be cool in the center of the chest too. LOL

Hey you stole my idea Yetter :D hahahahaha.

Actually I was thinking about having the Knight Seeker Tat of the Icon done on my lower back where I had my surgery done almost 2 years ago. The Icon is way cool also.

What's next Yetter? It's a great Tat but you know you can't stop there. Hmm perhaps web markings on your hands or feet ;) the wife will really love that

Hey kid! I'm not one to tell someone to NOT listen to their parents (and this is coming from a 34 year old teacher). Don't EVER give up on liking or loving stuff like this! I'm 34 and love it and always will. NEVER lose sight of the child within you...that's what makes life more magical.

Holly crap! You mean that there are TWO of us Spider-guys in Kent Ohio? I was doing the gig down at the Kent Plaza Theater that same day! LOL But WOW what a great suit. Whoever it is I'd love to get with them and compare the suits. So if the owner of that suit is lurking on the board get with me PLEASE!

BTW, here's what my new suit looks like. I'm still waiting on the pics from the movie premiere night at the theatre. But this is one with my friend in from California. He's a huge Spiderman fan and about died when he saw the suit. As you can tell from his expression. LOL

I couldn't agree more. Heck I'm a 38 year old Detective. And I love to play around. I'm active with local community theatre groups and as you can see I'm not afraid to dress up and have fun. Always keep your dreams alive. Heck it helps keep me young. LOL

I saw Spidey again at another of our local malls (not the Mall of America this time).

I brought my kids, and they thought it was great. They are thrilled to have an "Official Autograph" from Spiderman.

Radio Disney was doing their monthly program at the same time, which is for kids who are in the Simon Kidgits Club. It was a bit slower than the MOA, and there were actually times when there were no kids in line.

During one of those (rare) times, he and I actually had a conversation. It actually felt kind of wierd to just talking to Spiderman. Unfortunately, my kids were too busy to notice that he and I are friends. Oh well, maybe next time he's in town.

Take a break Spidey, you've earned one.

Thanx Torch! After Sunday... I was hurtin' something fierce. I train for this stuff but sometimes it takes a toll on ya. Its like doing squats all afternoon. It was good to hang with ya at Maplewood. Wish we had more time to chit-chat. Hope it was special for your kid's.

<Mr.Spider> you need to get yourself an online photo hosting site. I recommend

Photobucket.com

It's free. You just create an account, then "upload" your pictures to their server. Then you just use the photo tags that are created there and paste them into whatever forum you want. It's really pretty easy. Good Luck and I look forward to seeing your suit.

Has anyone downloaded the new spiderman movie on your pc?

If I could, I would rather not do it. I have 5 free tickets to any movie of my local cineplex and I prefer to use them watching Spiderman 2 on a THX-equipped theater than the tiny screen of my PeeCee watching a blurry screener.

Next Saturday and Sunday I might collect 10 more tickets ;)... the local cineplex asked me to assist and they appreciate my services with lots of tickets XD

And then, I will buy a couple original DVDs... because itīs worth every penny you invest on them, specially because of the behind the scenes stuff.

I don't know if I speak for everyone, but I would never do that. It's illegal, and if you don't support moviemakers, they're just going to stop making the movies that we love.

Spiderjack, that's a nice lookin' suit. Keep up the good work ;)

I wouldnīt... besides itīs illegal, i like to see and listen to original movies in cinema with THX or DVDs at home with dolby surround... what the hell should i do with an illegal copy in a poor quality?

Iīm working for my money... the moviemakers also do it... so they earn the money i pay for cinema or a DVD... and thatīs the way it works all over the world.

I can't say i'm against the whole movie on the pc thing, considering i've already seen it at the theater a couple times, and i still plan on buyin the dvd when it comes out to dvd, i just need something to tie me over, i did that with the first spiderman. I've seen that movie a total of 32 times now. Because i had it on my computer, but i still bought the dvd, then the collector's set. I'm still waiting to purchase the deluxe dvd with the 3rd. Disk. As for tips about the costumes, I've asked a couple people now. And haven't gotten a single reply so i gave up. Either they're just not seeing my message, or they don't want to give up their secrets. it's all good though.

Heh...there only basing the characters off of stuff they've seen. I'm sure they've seen the cartoon that was on Fox for both characters. I would've said something by now that would have got me a nice big slap in the face to them. You need to talk with them both and try to make them understand that millions love both characters. And that liking them does not make you a baby. Batman is a character that is very brutal. And Spider-man is just like everyone else, how could somebody not like Spider-man?!?!?!:D

So what's the best fabric for a movie suit?

Lycra Cotton or Lycra Poly/Nylon? :)

I'm thinking my next suit (movie-style) should be done on hi quality lycra/cotton blend... then have the texture printed on it...

I believe the recommended one is Cotton Lycra, but I'm currently using Nylon Lycras as it has that nice sheen to it.

Tim,

Wait till you see the pics from the movie opening. It was a blast. Now, if I can just get the manager to email them to me LOL. I've called her everday since the opening. She keeps promising to email them. Oh well, should have brought my OWN camera. I was so excited about the appearance I forgot to bring it. LOL
