Confused cautious applause echoes through the hall.

"Yep we should have a good night's entertainment in store for us tonight, we have a few first time nominees and... --"

"What do you think you're doing?" Marx walks out.

"Hoo boy, this is embarassing..."

"What are you doing?"

"*whispers* Don't do this up here..."

"I let you get by making a drunken fool of yourself last year, but at least that wasn't on the main stage..."

"Yeah, me and a few of the other guys thought it would make for a good idea, if we, like... cycled the hosts around. You know, I take the red carpet stuff last year and then up here this year, and then we swap back and..."

"A few of the other guys..?"

"..."

Marx raises an eyebrow.

"...alright, just me. Kane was kind of good with it though weren't you, Kane?"

Camera shakes slightly.

"Hey, don't drag me into this..."

"Well, anyway, it's not really worth making a scene now that we're up here is it. I mean we wouldn't want to detract from the night at all would we..?"

Marx points at Kane, camera goes black for a few seconds before we reveal Hound bound and being carried off stage by 7 elves.

"Hey! Where are you taking me you second rate Oompa Loompas?!? Kane! Kane, call SupperFerret!"

SuperFerret raises his head as if someone said something, then goes back to eating his appertisers, hunched over in typical rodent style.

"We'll be right back..."

Other ghostly figures step out of the darkness.

"Nah, it's cool. I'll show this one around."


5 minutes later


"And that one's JAL, and there's Ace of Knaves and over there is Bubonic ... "

"Yes, but don't interrupt. There's still a lot of people left to meet."

"And there's jackets and coats on it?"

"About seven years ago I joined this site, and ventured for the first time into the Community forum. I made a tiny splash and it quickly became clear that I wasn't going to fit in with the cool kids.

I finally found my place in the Hype Basement. The RPG forum is my home and where my family is. The guys and girl there are awesome, and while we may have our occasional differences, they're the people who've helped me develop into the poster I am today.
