Yep, to me it does. The whole purpose of their creation was to be a riff on all the teenage mutants in comics at that time....so they are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles....not Young Hipster Turtles, or Middle aged Turtles, or Geriatric Turtles, or Aliens that resemble turtles.......

Regardless of what the title is they will still always be the TMNT'S to me.

It's like calling Spider-Man either Ultimate, Spectacular, or Amazing, despite the different titles he has been given over the years he will still always just be Spider-Man to most people.
