People in December of 97 or 98 i cant remember, Starburst magazine had a pic of Nic Cage in the Supes suit. Does anyone have that pic, it was a rubber supes suit with the superman lives sign. It looked pretty ok, i guess.

It was Nic Cage's head superimposed (is that still the term you young folk use today) on the Flash's body with alterations made to the suit. A regular (original), a black and the "Electric Blue" suit was done.

The Suit wasnt superimposed, it was an actual fitting suit, with a rubber finish like Batman's, It was done in a spotlight with the Superman Lives Sign like a spotlight on the wall behind. Nic was looking all mournful like always, and the suit resembled the eradicators, with a high neck, two big clamps to the shoulders where the cape was attached and the sign on the chest was the new one, slightly raised, it was a Head and chest shot. and u could clearly see the sculpted muscles on the suit.

People, if u dont know about it, dont comment. I've seen this thing. Had the pic even, just lost it. Wish Someone had it to prove my point.

And, oh yeah, Enough about the Colors, It was metallic Blue, Red & Yellow. The Classic Supes colors, the clamps were matte chrome.

Hey I would really like to see this picture. Someone has to have it somewhere...for god's sakes somebody post it, I have been trying to find a picture of Cage in a Superman suit for YEARS!

You should heed your own advice. It was the Flash RUBBER (If that makes you feel better) suit that was altered with a computer or whatever. It's on the wall at my local comic shop. Darkangellives in a mind of their own and in rerun hell thank god!

Out of the Sups lives symbols, I like the crome one. It looks the clostest to the origional. Dropping the yellow is fine but pointy S's are not. Dark is good and doing something about the underware on the wrong side of the pants is a good idea too. NOT A BODY SUIT PLEASE; get a guy who can fill the suit. For a material, Dri-climb is a good choice for looks and for the actors comfort. Also, remember the black suit Sups had when he returned from being dead? That suit was cool and a compromise with it and the standard suit could work. Finally, someone mentioned a "ultimate" suit at Wizard. A URL please.

From all that I read, this is what Superman's 'proper' costume would have looked like, except the costume didn't cover the hands. No boots, no belt, no shorts.

I think the photo that was taken of Nicholas Cage in the suit was only preliminary and used for seeing how his body would need to be worked out and to see what design would fit his body type. (Think Christopher Reeve screen test, but with Superman Lives logo.)

Eh.. I cant see Cage as superman. That wouldve been odd. Superman was always the tall, sculpted, and hunky to the ladies type. That worked, as hes supposed to be this almost perfect god like being from another world.

Cage looks too old (even in 97)..he isnt the superhero type. Im glad it never came to fruition.

Superman is a certain type, let's face it. And needs a certain type of actor to bring him to life. Cage didnt even have thick enough hair.
