While I agree with mostly everyone that Famke looks great in her redesigned X2 outfit. I think Anna Paquin has a much better Figure than Famke, age excluded. Where Famke is Long and lean and looks fantastic. Anna looks more Curvaceous and Robust. Anna has a RollerCoaster figure. I think if the Costume designers are smart they will focus on designing and outfit that will show off all her womanly curves while enhancing her look to appear more stronger and resilient.

Famke's character is flat and her figure while it is very nice isn't as Robust or Curvacious as Paquin's...

If Paquin's leather is revised (which most likely will be) they need something that will show off all her "RollerCoaster" figure.

Actually, it would. If she were high up in the air, the use of the cape (attached to the wrists) would allow for gliding...and it's just plain easier and smoother for her to rise up w/ it. (Like in X1).

The wind pushes against the part of the cape between her back and wrist, thus allowing a force of wind to literally push her up.

W/O it that way, Storm would have to use the winds to gently place her on the ground, and as Bryan seems to be going for some sort of reality, it's makes more sense to have the cape attached to the wrists, as it is more practical...and safer.

But the ends of the cape are left dangling. The only way for her to physically catch pockets of air that would stay is by reinforcing the ends of the capes to her wrists, creating a "parachutte" on which to glide. If the winds change, her cape won't maintain integrity and she would be lost to a tunnel of wind without being able to stabalize herself. That's why all of Storm's comic capes are seperated into two flaps under each arm.

How 'bout you get Storm's cape from the films and jump off of a tall building in New York.

My bet is that the trip down to the floor will be a bit more controlled if your cape is attached to your wrists. ;)

Dude...you are so ignoring everything I'm saying, or you just dont understand. You have a cape attached to your back at the top and to each of your wrists...you jump off a building...your cape is going to fly straight up behind you all the way down. It will do that because it's nothing more than a hanging piece of fabric. Now, if that cape was reinforced on your lower back and spread to each wrist, creating air pockets, you might catch air and fall slighlty slower. At any rate, you're going to die. You have to create a parachute and Storm's cape in the films will not do that unless she grabs the uninforced ends and throws her arms in front of her. It's physics.

Like, dude! :eek: I'm saying that Storm's cape in the movies can work (when attached to her wrists) when gliding...or when jumping off a building, as long as her arms are place backwards. Of course, she'd need good muscles for that, but it's possible!

It's the placement of the attachment to her wrists that nullifies the use. If the ends of the cape were attached, it could work, but as it is now, they can't. It can temporarily, but if the wind catches those loose ends, it can just as easily flip up. Create a model to test the theory. Take a wash cloth, for example. If you place it in the path of a fan with the bottom not attached to anything, it will flap and wave, but if the ends are drawn together, you create a parachutte.
