Singer has mentioned that it will be pretty much the classic suit with a slightly updated \S/ and a somewhat Regal cape. I think that that pic meets those specifications. (Perhaps an \S/ a bit mor like Rages though, atleast maybe a bit mor noticable of a change.)

I think that those colours are perfect. Especially the blue. If the red was all a bit richer like the trunks too. And speaking of which, I don't know what it is but this image just makes the trunks look completely acceptable. Maybe it's just because it's such a good looking version of the Classic design that you just accept it as it all flows.

Am I the only person who finds this particular manip funny? Not the manip itself (great job, Ade!), but the fact that it's a manip at all. I mean, why not put the \S/ over ROUTH's promo photo? Wouldn't that make more sense? Seeing a manip of Routh's head over Welling's body is hysterical. Think about it. :p

Ain't that the truth :o Color matching is impossible with the current ones available since he is so tanned. Infact I had to change the contrast of Reeve's body, layer 3 pieces of hair (to give him an actual color), zoom in and draw in shadows on the side of his face, all this to cut down the difference of skin tones :eek:

Actually the more I look at it, the more I'm happy with the layers on the hair I put. I think it looks like a decent highlight, not to mention if I didn't do that it would have had no color looking like shadow for hair lol.

Wanted to tweek this cuz while I was in the shower I realized I hadn't made his eyes blue....idiot. The glasses may be a bit high, but I can't change it cuz I didn't save the photoshop image....already flattened it down so now I'm kinda screwed. But, I wear these same kind of glasses and the top rim is in the middle of my eyebrow...so there. :D

Terrific manip, Puck!

Of course, it's just a manip -- but Routh looks spot on as Clark Kent. As Phaser just said, add some meat and muscle on him for Superman (which he's reportedly getting in spades thanks to the best personal trainers in Los Angeles that money can buy), and he's ready to go.

Singer looks smarter every day. If Brandon Routh's screen test was as great as rumored, we'll be in really good shape with this guy.

I think SuperAdam's manip is great, but the only thing that bothers me are those glasses. To me, they look like Oakley sunglasses with the black lenses taken out. Something just not right about them in my world. I'm not saying my manip is better, because they're distinctly different AND distinctly good (IMO :D) but I guess I'm just a stickler when it comes to the glasses.

I'm not saying my manip is better, because they're distinctly different AND distinctly good (IMO :D) but I guess I'm just a stickler when it comes to the glasses.

The glasses in your Clark Kent manip are definitely better (smaller frames while still retaining that nerdy, mild-mannered reporter look), but since SuperAdam's manip incorporates the shirt rip ... well, that's gonna take first prize in my book every time. ;)

Seriously though, your manip is great. I love it.

that was the original concept, to have the streak start off as Clark and then blur into Supes, and then into the up-up-and-away streak, buut...I got lazy and went with one of the first pics I found.

I figured that might have been the original idea.

Sometime if you're ever feeling up to it, you should do the entire change from Clark to Superman. What you came up with here is a terrific effect and would look great as a full transformation manip.

I used a suit manip from someone else. All I really added where the briefs (allthogh they are not really briefs but something completely different) and belt. Changed the cape a little and that was all. I think the template for the suit was one of the Fantastic Four costumes.

I always try to mimic reality as close as possible when doing or enhancing a manip so things blend perfectly hehe I'm like David Copperfield. A good illusionist.

for me, it sticks out too much. that fish looking symbol IMO just takes up too much of the symbol. I'm just glad they didn't make it any bigger. I would also like to see the cape a little bit longer as well, and definitely keep the yellow S on the back of the cape. Thats one of the most disappointing thin Iv'e seen. That's how I know Superman and that's how I ilke him

That's a terrific manip.

Unlike some of the other posters here, I actually think the "S" shield looks really nice and is just the right size. The materials for the supersuit look great, and the neckline as well as the placement for where the cape is stitched look perfect. That manip might not be *exactly* what we'll get from Singer and the costume designers for "Returns," but I've got a feeling it'll be something fairly close.

This is so good I hate looking at it. It reminds me of WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN! Cavill looks so damn good as Superman, the guy is beyond human looking! He's F U C K I N' Superman! Singer should look at this poster, fire Routh, hire Cavill and then actually have a chance to make a decent movie (even though he's so consumed with making a "Donner" film he'd still screw it up). hmmm, capitals for "I"s and after each sentence...looks like you were being careful with your typing? you wanted to be sure you were spelling things correctly and your sentence structure was right...do i detect that you were cutting and pasting from Word?

Take a look at this image. I flipped it back to the way it was originally. You can compare. All i did is put some weight in the face. Once he bulks up, his face will look wider. Also, the color of the eyes changes his face completely.

Is it a crime to use proper grammer? 9 times out of 10 I properly capitalize and punctuate when I post (even though I just broke a rule by using a number that's not "written out" at the beginning of a sentence)- its the curse of being an English Major for the better part of my college career. You're mad because someone pasted Routh's face over your beloved Welling, and to initiate an argument with someone because they speak English properly is just sad.
