[IT is Batgirl]

i like the symbol from the top, but overall suit design i like the bottom one. it'll take about a week and a half but i could always color the bottom one like the top one so they can be compared fairly. side by side the colored pencil one doesn't look as good :(. i still like the belt though :D

I really don't like the belt on the bottom one. It's a bit too militaristic for me.

Very regal-like, as stated in S-V's previous costume report. I wouldn't mind something very close to this. I'd change the emblem and belt though...

the top one is photoshop. i'll do the other one in photoshop too if anyone really really wants it. takes about 10-12 days to do it so that's why that one'll only be by request haha

You mean the shading effect? You can do that in Photoshop with the dodge and/or burn tool. I don't know if that's what he did though...

nope dropped the opacity down, lasso the selection i wanted to shade, and layered the color until it got as dark as i wanted. i used the clone stamp tool to make it a little more even

Just curious, but since this is a manip thread in the movie boards shouldn't the manips be movie oriented, other wise wouldn't they belong in super-world?

I imagine most of you can guess what I am refering too. This isn't a 'get those specific manips the hell out' post, but rather a serious question. Is this thread for only movie apropriate manips and others should thus be on a different board, or is this thread given special privilage and is open too off topic manips?

Just curious, not important, just figured we could avoide flaming if off topic manips are 'officially' sanctioned or something, or vice versa.

Reeve's original emblem always looked sloppy and weak to me.

Singer, are you paying attention? My manip is what I'd like to see the costume look like. The cape emblem should be all yellow with no lines. The the 'S' shape can be defined by using different textures as they did with Dean Cain's cape. I don't like the style of the Cain emblem but the texture thing works perfectly.

Two things. One, no one owns the look of Superman except for the Superman from the comics. Two, that manip of Welling...just doesn't look good. It may just be the picture used, but I find nothing appealing about it.

They are starting not only to look hilarious because they in no way fit the body, but ultra sickening as well. 1 headshot will not fit every photo. And if it could, it doesnt mean you should keep doing it. For the love of Superman, pick a different actor to manip, someone with more then 1 photo.

I havent seen a good Routh manip in a very long time. Hell, since the first press release photo was done, there were a few decent ones. Now they all keep getting more and more ridiculous looking. Completely wrong head for the pose and such. That head will not fit on every pose people, no matter how hard you want to try.

I can see what you're talking about but Reeve's boot height never bothered me. In fact, I kind of like that little departure from the comics. I thought it made him look more heroic and regal.

However, I'll play with it to see how they would look lower and snug. As you say, more like the comix.

I've posted this manip before, but considering it seems people are getting tired of the same old photos, I figured I'd repost this one since I painted the face and I think only a few people saw it the first time. (and yes, the face is supposed to resemble Routh's)

I've been coming here for a while but this is my first post. I made a manip of two pictures I found on capedwonder.com. This is probably my favorite Superman costume because it has the classic look, with darker colors and it's made out of leather and not spandex. It does'nt have the classic logo but I love it anyway. I don't exctly know how to post images so be patient if it does'nt work.

I wasn't exactly sure what he meant by "the collar goes up higher," so I left that alone for now.
