Thanks everyone. Mehzeb, this last one you did looks pretty good. Watch that shadowing on the shield as both colors (red and yellow) seem to cast a shadow simultaniously. If you're shooting for the raised effect, only the red should be casting a shadow. The overall pic is good in that all elements fit together: it looks like a filtered image taken from one solid photo, as opposed to a bunch of different images pasted on top of each other (i.e. my shirt-rip poster).

Here. You can use this. I've already lenghthened the cape. You just need to put Routh's head on it and alter the emblem.

and this isn't Wild's manip. I got this the same place he got his and made the alterations myself.

And I'd like to see that new emblem done up as large as the one I did.

With the large emblem, the tall boots, the longer cape, and those trunks, it makes RED the dominant colour. That's what makes his costume exciting. The fact that the Blue is basically a background to the dominant Red.

I don't know anything about creating manips or it anyone's done something like this already (cos I haven't got through all 400 odd pages of this stuff yet) but I had an idea for a poster and thought one of you guys could do something with it...

Superman has always had a somewhat reserved and serious demeanor.

Still strongly dislike having the emblem on the belt ... but what can I do? Singer wouldn't be my first choice to redesign the Superman costume but he's what we're stuck with.

The emblem was a good design, though. A little bit of a few different artist styles.

I just get annoyeed with seeing all this work done on the suit and not adding a little smudge tool to make the curl. It's just because of how many times we've seen these head shots, lol. But they need the curl, otherwise it's just someone's head on supes body, lol.

SuperGMan, that poster with the red shield and grey background is nice. I like how the "s" is so big that it's left the frame edges, but it's still obviously Superman's symbol.

If the text "2006" were casting a shadow onto the symbol, and the symbol in turn, casting a shadow onto the grey background, it may add some depth and presence to the composition.

haha, actually it's Eddie Vedder 'Impaling' a George Bush mask on a mic stand at a show in Denver in 03 (Before it was cool to publically mock Bush...ie Dixie Chicks) About 100 or so out of 15,000 fans left the building so they (The Media) made a huge deal about it....they were comparing this to the whole Lord Of The Flies pig head on a stick...funny stuff.
