Actually mate, it's Wellings face AND Jaw... The only parts that belong to Reeeve are the hair, ears and neck.. The eyebrows are a sort of blend of reeve and Welling.. but, the face and jaw are all Welling.

I believe it was a poster (to some a legend) called Superboy who came up with "Truth, Justice and Hope" the phrase was a winner, it had to be, years after Superboy disapeared off the face of the planet people are still using that tagline.

You got one thing correct, that Superman is a hero for the whole world. He watches over and protects people all over the world. I am aware that he was born on Krypton, so I know that he is not physically an American. However, we are talking about Superman's ideals and his beliefs, not his origin.

The character of Superman has always believed in, and stood for: Truth, Justice, and the AMERICAN WAY. Period. That's not just my opinion, it is a FACT.

I understand that some people don't like certain things about America, and that's fine. But please don't try to change the facts, or write your own history for Superman, while ignoring the facts.

Once again: Superman believes in, and stands for: Truth, Justice, and the AMERICAN WAY.

Truth, justice, and hope sound more like the values Superman supports, as opposed to "the American way." The American way, of course, is an ideal, and that's fine, but America's Way (which to say the reality, not the ideal) I think is something different entirely. I don't want to argue about the right or wrong of it, but my point is that it changes, and does not always reflect the ideal it should.

I think "Truth, justice and hope" sound more universal, timeless, and ideal which is what Superman should be.

Yes of course Mr. Chomsky has no idea how the world actually works, he was awarded the job of professor of linguistics and philosophy at MIT as part of a promotional package for Cracker Jacks. The "American Way" used to be about the land of opportunity, where an immigrant could come to america, be free of religious and political persecution, enjoy equal treatment under the law, and work hard to provide a descent home for their family.

Of course that's not the reality now is it? Oh sure, to wealthy White America, it's all good, but the poor, wretched, huddled masses don't have access to the "American Way" anymore. DC dropped the american way from Superman's tagline years ago, he now claims to fight a never ending battle for Dignity, Honor, and Justice.
