You can't tell Superman is closer to you without showing their orientations on the plane they're standing on. Long story short, with no feet, it looks wrong.

I'm in college art, they burn this stuff into your brain.

BTW, you may want to completely erase the Batman Begins logo below Batman and the flopped one below Superman.

looking at it again might I make a suggestion? I know this will likely be quite hard so feel free to completely ignore this, but I think it would help if you shifted his head so it looked like he was looking inthe direction he was flying, rahter than him gazing off in a different direction as you have him currently. just that slight shift would make the piece more effective imo.

It has nothing to do with moniters being too bright. My moniter is at a regular brightness setting and I totally saw the blob. The black was two different shades, and the S wasn't totally covered.

If I had to make any suggestions, I'd say try to raise his right leg and get rid of the blur effect.

I tried that out while I was working on, but with the angle the body is in it comes off really awkward looking.

drknight...i'd suggest trying to manip so his LEFT leg is raised instead of his right. since his right arm is raised, the pose would look more dynamic/natural if his left leg were raised....sort of like this (opposite side of limbs raised)...

I've actually been reworking it.

I ended up find an okay angle for his to be looking up with out it being awkward. I also switched the leg.

As for his eyes, they're already open. I took eye from a Clark photo and put it on him, If you look you can see his eye is blue.

Agreed. I love the poster and the way it looks though. I think with luthors head out or either his body ghosted in the background as well would look much nicer. Maybe it without the head. Its a beautiful poster though.

It looks great, but that little corner of cape out from of his leg keeps throwing me off. I would suggest pulling it back behind his leg, that whole edge of the cape that is, and maybe show it there, or actually brng it more out infront.

I LOVE this one. This would kick so much ass as a full sized poste in my room.

Then the tittle Superman Returns.

Not for nothing but i don't know why you people insist on asking someone to manipulate art that was created by someone else already. Ask the creator of that one above BARNEY if you want something manipulated, otherwise create your own! We work hard to create peices for neophytes to turn around and take what little skills they have move a title or this or that than take entire credit for the peice! Also the original creator would probably the only one able to move things around due to the complex cityscape background, any attempt to move the anything around would look like crap, photoshop uses layers...

P.S. Its a kick in the face to artists when you manipulate someone elses work w/o they're permission!

if you want my opinion, it would of looked better if he were hovering over Metropolis like that during the daytime, with the sun behind him to add extremeties to the shades of his costume, and add lighting to the back of his head, so that it would give more of an emphasis of returning....


also, when he would of flewn down, we would of been able to see the shade on the back of the cape. I've always thought having the suit lit up by the sun in space gives a deeper brighter color to the costume with so many different hues to the suit.

if you don't want anyone changing your manips...i'd suggest putting a little warning at the bottom of the manip saying something along the lines of "please do not manip my manip" hehe...


...but serious, you could put something like "please do not alter this image withtout my permission" or whatever. it's not gauranteed to stop people from messing with your manip, but it'll lower the chances and anyone with respect for you (or themselves) wont mess with it.
