You're kidding right? His right arm is farther away from the viewer, thus it looks smaller. His left fist is closer to the viewer than his head, thus it appears larger.

The photo is taken from a little below Routh's waist. From that perspective, his head would be farthest from the camera. Thus, his head would appear smaller. His shoulders also looked really close together because of the perspective.

Wow. Just...wow. Take a picture with a wide angle lens and put your fist right up to the lens. I guarantee your hand will appear much large then the wrist and forearm connected to it. As far as the cape goes, if you remember the blog with people manipulating Routh's cape with wires, I could easily see how they could achieve the same effect in this picture.

You really need to brush up on perspective. The right arm, because it's not completely pointed at the viewer, doesn't have much foreshortening to it. Thus the muscle on his forearm would be almost the same width as his fist, which it clearly is. As far as his left arm goes, that arm is clearly cocked back and foreshortened. Thus, his muscles bunched up would appear smaller because they are farther in the background then the fist or his shoulder and even farther compared to his chest and his right arm.

Well, I cant discuss with everybody my friend, but I know what I am talking about, I dont pretend to be the big authority, but is funny to see how much the people is in desagree with me wen I say something about the costume or anatomy or proportions, and then, a lot of people loves my manips and my art, that is very contradictory, because my manips and my art are made by those concepts that everybody are in disagreement.

So... what sould I do? i not to sare any more my manips, my art and my concepts here?

That is very well observed, but is not a photo, I take a pose of brandon as a reference as a lot of artist do, and I draw it!!! but I have not to proportioned it to much because I use one who was not to much retouched in his anatomy on that image !!!

i'm sorry but there's nothing anatomically wrong with that picture...his arm doesn't look dislocated. that's what an arm taken at that angle looks like. in your drawing...the arm is at a slightly different angle. i don't know why you keep thinking all these photos are manipped.....most of them aren't. as an artists who's studied both anatomy and photomanipulation...i can tell you that most of the things you've pointed out aren't manipped.

I have to say, I love SUPERSEBAS's art as well but I don't see what he's arguing. It's just perspective, these are pics of Routh. I recall in some of the leaked images where it's completely untouched, they are the same poses and proportions.

Actually, it's not forced perspective, it's just plain old perspective. Forced perspective is when you cheat it somehow (by say, *actually* making his hand physically larger). This is just things as they really appear to the camera (the kind of lens used can affect this type of thing too).

When you try to replicate this kind of thing in a drawing it's called foreshortening.

But I agree, I see nothing in the pics that suggest the proportions have been digitally altered - apart from the obvious stuff like speed blurs in some of the pics.

I can asume that, because someone who cant see this anatomy mistakes, have not anatomy and proportions knowledge!!!

And I do this for fan, because I dont have to much offerts to made it for money.

The last thing is , that my art and my manips are good because I study anatomy , proportions, color and ilustration, so I think I have the right to talk and asseverate about what I know!

I was one of the few who say that brandon have a false muscle suit under the costume, and a mostly all the people say that was not true!!! Now that people can see the diference of a person who train his eyes to be a very good observant, study to be a good artist is to look well, mostly a 99 % of the work of an artist is to observer, and that is because I can tell you this bad retouches on the images!!

At the same time Sebastian, I have studied anatomy, have drawn comics and worked as a commercial artist for 17 years. The photos of Brandon are not manip to that point. Brandon's head is actually a slight bit smaller than his frame.

His feet are a tad big...but I actuallly REALLY like the proportions in this pic.

Lately I've been grappling back and fourth over how I feel about Routh as Superman and well, I'm sorry to say that after seeing this pic....while Routh does bare some resemblance to Reeve, he looks just too young to cut it as a convincing Superman in my opinion. Of course my thoughts could change after seeing the movie but for right now....meh.

Also consider that he may have been told to be the same weight as reeve..considering this is a continuing of the first two movies.. We know the padding is only to show muscle definition as the new material doesn't allow the shape of his muscles to show through that well,

I agree, and you know what else? His Clark still looked fine, it wasn't like he was this gigantic guy trapped in a 3-piece suit. After seeing that picture of Routh in the gym, I think he might be roughly as big as Reeve in III.

Its not a teaser poster because well it shows him right there, so i would have put superman in the title, and he looks a bit placed, try playing with blending modes to make the entire poster look more fluid. but cool nonetheless. as for the yellow/orange it would not have gone with the poster at all, i tend to use this style and i personally think it fits, it may be a bit off, maybe i'll change it, idk and it is the SR font, trajan pro i believe.

I've made those suggestions to him before, too. he just likes big fonts and gradients, apparently. I think his posters would be a lot better if they were a little more restrained.

When a camera is pointed at the sun, or any light source for that matter, there tend to be lense flares hence you add them to give a realistic effect to an artificial light source.

Do you happen to have the high resolution one? What process did you use to clean it up because the real one has all scan lines in it and looks like crap.

When a camera is pointed at the sun, or any light source for that matter, there tend to be lense flares hence you add them to give a realistic effect to an artificial light source.

yes, thats easily understood, but it is a bit overdone and the effect is despite how realistic it is.

if you invert the knee thats bending it will look much better....

The red is more clear evey time, it seems that the people of this movie is doubtful about this and maybe other things, thisis the first time we see a image with the red as it should to be in a begin
