The voice was awesome, it was menecing, animal like, and while it sounded forced it still owned Keaton's voice. The BB bat suit was better then anything before, mainly because Bale could move in it. The Batmobile will find its way to influence the comics, making it more like the comics then the Burton mobiles.

Actually, quite the opposite. Burton did a very truthfull origin, just added the Joker being the killer.

However, Begins actually IS far more true to the spirite of Batman.

I think I remember reading somewhere that they told Routh to stop working out because they did not want to have to make a new suit for him as he was getting bigger... Right there, that tells me that Singer is not concerned with size at all. Sorry, but size plays a very important factor in correctly defining the look of Superman. Mr. Routh is not big enough. I do not want a body builder... Just someone with Bale's build in Batman Begins. He took the role seriously enough to go from his sickly size in The Machinist to his size in BB. Routh already had a fair build to begin with. If he would have worked as hard as Bale did in the 4 months he had to work out...He could have achieved the same results.

I just watched Tristan and Isolde, Cavill has a better face for the role than Routh or Caviezel. but hey, tough **** for me right?

Co-schnizzle, even back in '78, I wanted Reeve to be bigger, not juice monkey big, but as you point out, there is a middle ground. Bale is a great example in that shot, maybe it could be even a smidge bigger.

See, now this is what I ment. I was obviously using "schizophrenic" loosly, or rather quoting it's initial loose use as i was refering to the person's use of it as a description of Keaton's Batman. Which, honestly, does not really suit his portrayal either.

But the current (post IC) Bat's certainly was on the edge of sanity.

And yes, schizophrenia is very different from MPD (which is actually Disasociative Identity Disorder) and is often confused by the layperson as being such because of the radical change the person can exibite.

Schizophrenics live in their own reality (which SOULD be said about Bat's) and it is a very liniar reality, just not the same line as everyone else and often results in paranoia (again, this sounds a LOT like the recent Batman)

i'm not comparing EXACT size...i'm comparing how they VISUALLY stack up to each other. most artists will agree that if one buff dude's head is the same size as a less muscular dude, it's easier to tell size difference. so the same applies to Routh and Bale. i scaled them so that Routh's head was around the same size as Bale's and both men end up looking around the same build. can you deny they look about the same build in that picture?

roughly around the same size yes. even if there is a LOT of padding in the suit (which there isn't) then what would it matter? Routh as Supes STILL looks about as big as Bale as Bats.

Muscle suits don't give you mass. That's not their purpose. It's to show the muscle definition beneath fabric. If Ruth didn't have a muscle suit, he'd resemble Reeve in definition, as in, his arms would look flabby. Tobey Maguire, and the actors in Fantastic 4 all wore muscle suits.

it was confirmed that when filming this scene bale was still haveing a lot of fat around hes muscles. look at the scene when he is waking up in hes bad. he is smaller than here because he has a better definition.

He was getting fit for the suit only a short while after he was casted.

He was told by wardrobe not to get any larger (even tho he wanted to) cuz it would f^ck the proportions up and theyd have to design new suits.

So really, in such a short timeframe, without using steriods, it would have been close to impossible.... I'd like to see anyone try.

Now that he has some years before the sequel and knows the role hes playing, he has time to bulk up (since theyll likely do new costuming for the sequel).

yup, even Reeve wore one in all of his films, as did Tobey in Spider-man. Funny thing is, magician David Copperfield wears one under street clothes because he's actually very skinny (so he can fit into tight spaces and small doors for his act).

And lastly, Reeve didn't always look that great in the suit (compared to actors who have definitely worn padding like Tobey, Brandon and the Fantastic 4 guys), and even in his best shape there wasn't the kind of look you'd expect from padding. He looks very much like a fairly well-built man in nothing but a Spandex suit.

If you guys use photoshop, what tool do you use to cut it out so nicely?

There are multiple ways to "cut-out" a picture. If you have photoshop 8.0+ you can use the extract tool, or you can use the magnetic lasso tool if the object you are cutting out contrasts with its background. Or you could use the direct selection tool and change the tolerance as you click, which sometimes can be faster. Or you can use quick mask mode and paint the selection with the foreground/background (black/white) brushes.

I personally use the magnetic lasso tool for a quick outline and the areas that weren't covered properly i'll jump into quick mask mode and paint them, some other areas i may use the pen tool and than turn that into a selection and delete areas i don't want, it takes practice, good luck :):up:

Is that your pic? Like did you do the post with the Supes shirt, and then change the color? I too wish the blue was accurate to the costume, cause the other colors are...except for the Navy blue. The Navy blue would've looked good on film too. :up:

The pic of the shirt from amazon looks NOTHING like what I got. I like the shirt, but still, yes, it would be cool if the colors matched the frikkin movie costume.
