Somewhere in this thread is a manip. It has Tom Welling as Superman and Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. Lex is wearing a kryptonite ring. It's modeled like a poster for an old timey movie serial (complete with old school Superman costume) and it looked really slick. Instead of sifting through several hundred pages, can somebody just post it?

They do need to improve on Routh's Supes image for the second film IMO.

Let's just see the film before we decide that. Stills I'm sure don't represent the film well. It was shot digitally, and I'm going to guess that the look of Superman will adapt to the mood of each scene. If it's a brighter scene expect to see a brighter red and richer blue, if it's a darker scene expect a little more moody, dulled color effect. Just guessing of course... Shall see the film to be sure.

Most of the images maniped are released by WB's FOR THE public which if you take the time to look up certain copyright laws etc...you will see that we can do w/e we want to them and still pass them off as our own work and within that hold our own copyright to our own work, so yes when you SCREW with someone else's work you are in fact messing with something that is not yours, despite the fact that you may think it is not theirs. It doesn't matter if the original image is not their's, if they try to sell it let them worry about WB but besides it being RUDE it is considered a NO NO and REAL artists who take the time to appreciate work WILL NEVER EVER screw with someone else's work, PERIOD.

EDIT: In response to us not respecting the WB's work that can be a double edged sword, they are not telling us we cannot mess with it, in fact they ARE telling us to download it, which it than becomes our property, again if we try to sell it, we don't own the RIGHTS. It all boils down to every once and a while some newB with photoshop throwing up manip's because they want to play with the big boy's, editing someone else's work than starting a war when called on it because they think its ok, well i have news for you, your a dime a dozen and ITS NOT OK and you can ask anyone on here who works their asses off on a manip, whether it good or bad, they don't like their work played with unless asked before hand. I have been burned before, i've had my stuff sold on ebay before, i've had original artwork of mine that holds no rights to franchises stolen, and i've had people (on this board) kindly ask if they could manip or use parts of my work, where 99.9 percent of the time i say yes, but its those punks who just use it and pass it off as their own that really piss me off...

second...if people think he's the one who did the full manip then that's the PEOPLE'S fault for not reading the whole post, not MoviesKickAss's. the confusion between who manipped what would be greatly reduced if some people would just read the whole post instead of looking at the manip then looking at the poster's handle without reading the post.

MoviesKickAss was just giving a suggestion...there was no harm intended on his part. as i said, if Aarowned has a problem with the manip that MoviesKickAss did then he'll say something but until then...there's no reason to jump all over MoviesKickAss for executing a small suggestion...

but from the looks of it, it doesn't look like Aarowned could've spent TOO much time on that. all he did was put Superman in the Fortress of Solitude, darkened it up a bunch, then put the title and credits. that would take someone who's well rounded in Photoshop no more than 5 minutes tops. so you're trying to make the point that people shouldn't mess with a manip if the person put a lot of time and effort into it (which i agree with) but it's not like Aarowned's manip is extremely hard to duplicate.

I hanged out there during the ROTS time & now LFL has that place under TOTAL LOCK DOWN. You can not AT ALL show there Fan Trailers of the Movies, Fan Posters of the Movie, Fan Manips NOTHING NADDA they are lucky to even use the Star Wars Banners now. ok guys time to liven up this thread, below is my latest, stay tuned for a bunch more, ORIGINAL pieces. To give a alittle background on this piece is called "ascension" and yes i know it has alot of Christian undertones but it is not necessarily mean't to, i just liked the position of him rising to the sky. Anyway this is 100% original and created by me, NOT pieced together from any pictures at all except for routh's head. The body was created in poser and airbrushed over, the belt, shield and everything else was airbrushed from scratch in photoshop cs2. I put a tag and my signature on this in hopes that someone will not reuse this piece in any way shape or form, it took some time and i am proud of it so i do not want it ripped apart, thanks!

I could have easily lived with Cavill in a reboot, playing a 25 year old Superman. While I think that yeah, he would have been a bit too young visually, he would have grown in to the role really well that most people wouldn't have cared.

nice drawing, alittle odd to me though, what does he want in that picture? My hand, maybe some icecream? Reeves throws it off, but overall good. The cape is cool. The shadows on his face are throwing me off a bit though, it looks more like dirt. Also the position of his chest and head make the picture look odd, if you had drawn his chest just facing forward i think the picture would be alot cooler. Don't take my criticism to heart, its mean't to be constructive since i truely do like 100% painted pictures vs manip's so you can get A. Now would you mind going over your procedure?

It just didn't 'pop'. It needed that badly.
