Seriously, both those manips look awesome...esp. the Welling one. If they do a 20-something Superman, they should try to get Welling. Truth be told though...I hope they get a complete unknown that totally looks the part and not just some dark haired Latino pretty boy in some lame attempt to reach a wider demographic. I'm sure there are plenty of would be actors out there that have that dark haired, blue eyed, farmboy from Kansas via spaceship look.

I agree with you! Supes might've been a better fit for Ben than Daredevil. But yeah, then I'd be thinking, its Daredevil in a Superman costume... And I too don't like the idea of Halle being Catwoman after she's already been Storm, but oh well, she's already signed on now.

His height isn't as much of a problem as his weight. This guy is Kate Moss with a penis!! He is frail. There is NO way that he could naturally bulk up enough to play a convincing Superman. NO WAY!!

5'11 is also too short...the odds are against Jude Law. Too Short. Too Skinny. Established actor that can carry a movie....to many things wrong with him. They need to get a tall, muscular and unknown actor to pull this role off.

Just need to fix the contrast and brightness to blend the neck and head. Good pic though, Jude Law is my top choice.. It's always been Guy Pearce or Jude Law for supes to me.

I absolutely dig the manip of Welling pulling open his shirt and tie with the "S" (from Lois and Clark) -- but didn't the producers of "Smallville" mention that you'd never see this on the show, even as a last shot in the final episode? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere.

Still, these manips are the closest you'll come to seeing Tom Welling wearing the classic costume (or any costume, for that matter).
