Remember Joss whedon is writing and directing - Its the script and direction that makes the character as much as the actress

Otherwise Clooney would've made a good Batman with a decent script and good direction - instead they went for visual excess

I'm going to go with Jordan Bayne since I looked at her website - she is facially good - but she isnt wonder woman in body, but I suppose some judicial padding might be good - but i've heard from people "in the know" that she's a good actress and she's getting ripped for the audition

You don't object to her on acting grounds you object to her because she's too short. That shows how lame a judge you are of acting.

BT18 can be pretty abrasive sometimes but he is a good guy and his heart is in the right place and he is right on this one. Calling people eejits isn't the way to go... you're just gonna end up in a fight and nobody here wants that. You should maybe dial down the attitude a wee bit and count to ten.

As for the rest of the post... well you are just plain wrong. It has been stated numerous times that we are NOT getting something tongue-in-cheek like the TV show or whatever. This is gonna be pitched at the same tone as Siper-Man and i don't care what you say the most important ingredient will be an actress that can actually act.

There was a five year gap between Labrynth and the Hot Spot during which a thing called puberty happened to her. Skinny little Jenny... she grew up... she filled out... those are the least fake tits i've ever seen... and i've spent a good long while studying them. :p

Personally my only problem with you is that you don't seem to have any respect for the character. You keep saying stuff like "its only Wonder Woman" and your general tone is pretty dismissive. The body isn't Lynda Carter its some model from a convention. Her costume was crap and her tits were huge and fake as hell so i had to do a LOT of work on just the costume/body alone.

You're seriously better with Jasc programs like Paintshop Pro - which is great for pros and beginning artists alike - really facile to use

You can download free trials

I use Corel Photo paint suite 12 - but i've been trained in Jasc and miss it - going to get it again as the clone brush on Corel is nowhere near as good and paintshop

Adobe, Lightwave, zfBrush are also good



I take it the original photo is ms. Arcuni? Damn i'm inspired - shes gorgeous



Its a reasonable effort for your first time - the more you practice the better you get

you kept inside the lines of the figure mostly, aint too spidery at the edges -
Only Real criticism is that the costumes boots and gold armor are too bright in relation to the rest of the figure, you need some drop shadows and gradient toning to make it more real

If youre unsure about doing metallic gradiation just crop, cut and paste already done belts, bracelets, tiara from other pictures - (just give credit to those artists in your composite) - and try to tailor them to your figure - but try also to learn the tonal values of these objects - so you can draw them yourself

HOPE you take this advice on board - its constructive

Cos everyone deserves encouragement as these are quite hard to do and time consuming sometimes.......

I'll give it a good C for effort:up: as its just a coloured photo

The really good manips are using multiple image compositing - using different sources to make the one picture and also repositioning limbs

Something Pimp and I are good at -


but while pimp's really better than me at Poster/cover poses, i'm pretty good at action pose compositions as i used to be a small press comicbook artist/writer before i had the chance to hit the big time

unfortunately my disability got in the way of that and i only have one eye working now

Wow, that's pretty creative. I take it that the sketch of the villian is yours. Did you do that with Corel Photo Paint as well or is it a scan of a pencil sketch? I downloaded a trial copy of Jasc Paint Shop. It does have a lot more features than MS Paint (which was what I had used before), but it looks like one might want to take a formal class to learn how to use it to its fullest.

As you can see, I am still more than likely a C student here. I could probably do a better job with a hand drawing. I guess I have a lot more respect and appreciation for those of you who do manipulations and are good at (pimpernel and deDIKnight to name a few). Even though you have computer assist, it still is painstaking and requires a good eye for color and creativity. Thanks for the tips though, deDI.

:daredevil Best way to use any PC art package is to chuck the manual ( well trials dont have one LoL) and dive into it - try out everything and then it becomes 2nd nature

Even My teenage daughter can use jasc proficiently - PPS is very facile to use

You'll get the hang of it within a month

Just remember to try and smooth your edges so it blends with the original pic

And yes that Bad guy in that wonder woman photo was hand drawn with the mouse

I cant really draw on paper anymore - it feels alien and I have more control on pC - some beautiful effects like lens flare, explosions etc

Point is to have fun - artwork should never be a chore

I can't believe that Jessica Alba is currently in the lead for Wonder Woman. Now, I love the Alba like any sane heterosexual man should, and I don't think she's that bad of an actress, and I am looking forward to seeing her in the Fantastic Four. I am also looking forward to her diving movie in September. I love the Alba. However, I don't love her for Wonder Woman.

I hate polls that only have finite categories. They should add either "None of the above", "Don't know", or "An Unknown" as a category to some of those questions or else don't ask. The data generated from that is just for entertainment otherwise and has no real value to me whatsoever.

I disagree. She has things about her that are Lynda Carter like, but she doesn't look alot like her. I can't believe such a borderline butterface won Miss Universe. Wierd that the 2 minutes of that show I cought I saw her talking. She's got one of those annoying accents that would not work at all for WW. Maybe worse than Celine Dion. And she's similarly overrated in the looks department already. She's in good shape, has good makeup and everything. But she's not really sexy at all. How tall is your choice, what 5' 5'' or 5' 7''. Your choice looks like she only 90 lbs. soak and wet. All someone would have to do is just push her over, she's that light.

It's got to be believeable. My costume is too bubbly. But you have to give her credit and a chance, at least she looks the part with her blue eyes and black hair and her almost perfect build, if she went to the gym for a couple of months before filming started. Not some blonde, light weight bimbo.

well...5'5 is a bit short for WW...but whoever they cast will probably be made to look a bit taller anyhow. I just think she has a pretty face and and if she toned up would look the part....plus she is NOT a complete unknown with no experience. I want a good actress.....like Jennifer Connelly!

Oh yeah....she would be an ideal choice to be WW/Diana. Can you imagine if she toned up similar to the way Linda Hamilton did for T2?? WOW! Personally, I am going to say she would be my personal choice for Wonder Woman. However, if what people are saying is true, and Whedon is not going to use anyone from his stable, then she's probably out of the running.

I like Tsiana Joelson a lot, and think this could be a decent breakout role for her.

I really like the look of Manuela Acuri though, and could really see her doing the role.

Kim Smith to me wouldn't be a bad choice, but I haven't seen her in a lot. I do know that in previous interviews unrelated to Wonder Woman she has commented on really being interested in an opportunity to do the role.

Liv Tyler. I don't know. It could happen, and wouldn't shock me if it did. It would definitely be a departure from her past roles, but it is out of left field, and who knows...

You need to show some consistency with your font. It looks very unprofessional and undignified when you are all over the place. You're better than that.

In regards to Jennifer Lopez, she's only 5'5. She's also a diva who has to have her way with everything she does. Now, don't get me too wrong. I like JLo, and I think she's a decent actress and could physically do the role as she is athletic, and could double up and do the soundtrack (Part of me would really like to see her put a dance spin on the classic Wonder Woman theme). However, Joss Whedon put up with a major diva in SMG on Buffy, and I really don't think he would want to do the same with JLo, who is a waaaay bigger diva. Furthermore, as previously stated, she's relatively short at 5'5. I can't see her doing Wonder Woman.

In regards to your post on Supergirl. I agree Elisha was born for the role. However, since in all likelihood a Supergirl film won't be made for at least a good 5+ years, Elisha is really out of the running. By then she will be 28, and that might be too old in the eyes of Hollywood. I'd still make her Supergirl, but others may not.

I don't think that anyone said that Longoria was being considered. Right now the script hasn't even been completed yet and both Joss Whedon and Joel Silver have stated that they were not even thinking about casting right now (to paraphrase them). I think the names mentioned at this thread should be considered pure speculation or suggestion until it has been confirmed by the proper sources.

I am begining to think that it is PR hoopla. Note that Holmes said that she had to read the script first and if she liked it then she would be interested. The script is not completed yet (or not even written) according to some reports and that both Silver and Whedon said that they would worry about casting after the script was written. There are other reports (http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/3090.html) saying that it is all a publicity stunt (she is out there with Tom Cruise). I think the Austrailian press is drawing conclusions that since Holmes and Cruise are in Austrailia that she is being approached. This kind of press gives both Cruise and Holmes some attention before their upcoming films (WOTW and BB). Let's wait to see some confirmation from a more credible sources.

Most of the great superhero movies are known for great actors giving great performances for the villains. Well you don't get much more talented these days among actresses who have the appropriate physical attributes for Cheetah than Hilary Swank. PLUS she kinda owes Whedon somewhat considering one of her very first roles was in the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie. She played one of the sort of movie version of the "Cordettes" (before there was a Cordelia and she was more of a Buff-ette). What do you think? She'd look great with the cheeta suit as well IMO. Maybe they should just introduce her original non-supervillain "alter ego" in the first movie though, in a smaller role. With another villain being the main badguy for the origin movie. And have her become supervillainy in the sequel.

Because while the Cheetah is her most battled with villain, from what I've read, you want the least amount of "Catwoman-ishness" in the movie.

Wow, that truly is some great work. A few nitpicks:

-I could do away with the Santa Clause type fur on the boots. She's already dressed very revealingly, no point in adding to it by making her looks like one of Santa's..."little angel". :p

-The top of the breastplate looks off. I think you made it too pointy or big when it curves up.

-You're right about overdoing the sparkles...but damn! :eek: Anyway you can remove them, the manip would look much better. :o

Like I said, just nitpicks from an otherwise very well done manip. Any chance we can see more Kim/WW manips? ;)

Fact is Sarah MG is way too small and skinny to be Wonderwoman....

Especially if you are disabled like me - I cant see out my left eye so continually staring with one eye can put an enormous strain on it and the eye I can see out of isnt nowhere near 100% efficient

The villain roles are probably the first place Whedon is going to look to put a name actor or actress in the role. Get a little bit of Star power in there, have people to promote the movie on the talk shows, etc.

Because I don't think he's interested in a bigGER name for the role of Wonder Woman. There really aren't that many in the age range I think he specifed (others say he didn't) and of the names in that range of age and height there really aren't any who match the role well.

Part of the reason I think Hilary Swank would be perfect for Cheetah. Others would work too, just not some unknown (by US standards) Scandanavian actress.

It's funny, but I can't recall Joss ever casting a bigger name actor/actress as a villian in ANYTHING that he's done. He always seems to go with character actors that are right for the part.

I don't claim that Anna is a terrific actress as I haven't seen anything that she's been in but a 5'10 bombshell with ice cold green eyes certainly looks like a potential candidate for Cheetah.

We'll have to get a manip of Anna as Cheetah going after Manuela or one of the other good WW choices...just to be sure. ;)
