I have some unanswered questions? (People who visit PWInsider might recognize this these are just some of my own.)
Am I the only one who thinks that having the "Mexicool's" (god I hate that name) come out with jumpsuits & riding a ****ing animal of a lawnmower & then having them denounce all the stereotypes we give mexicans render that argument useless?
If Hussan hadn't even wrestled his first match why would he possibly think he deserves to be handed to him? These ****ing writers need buckshots in the back of their head.
How the **** can any of the WWE guys say that the Mike Awesome/ Masato Tanaka match was to extreme for WWE when they are in the middle of promoting what's the one of the most violent types of matches in professional wrestling?
Sence when did Meanie gain all of his weight back?
Did anyone esle see JBL get jumped after being pulled off of Meanie?
Was Monday a test from the board to see how well bringing Matt back will do?
Was I the only one whose first reaction to what happend was to be angry & offended & not joyous & grateful? (note:that's because I knew it was fake & not Matt duping us for an enhanced storyline of some sort.)

I think that could be the point of the gimmick itself

I'm thinking because of his "longest undefeated streak in wrestling history" or something to that effect.....
How the **** can any of the WWE guys say that the Mike Awesome/ Masato Tanaka match was to extreme for WWE when they are in the middle of promoting what's the one of the most violent types of matches in professional wrestling?
Because they don't really want Mike Awesome in the WWE

don't really know...

Not really surprised about that. It seems that the ECW guys are really protective of their own. You hit one guy, you hit them all. It's probably why Tracy Smothers challenged JBL to an actual fight after that incident....

I wasn't really that angry or offended by the Matt incident. Sure it was a bit in bad taste, but would that incident have happened if Matt kept everything private or if the fans didn't chant "YOU SCREWED MATT!" everytime Lita and Edge came out?

I thought Goldberg has the longest undefeated streak in wrestling history? Wasn't he undefeated for 160 matches I could be wrong but I thought he has the longest. Granted he was with WCW, so are you talking about WWE history or any wrestling history in general?

Well I found a few things about the longest streak. Back in 1991 to 1993 the Undertaker never loss a match, claiming 2 years of being undefeated. Somepeople claim that Goldberg's streak counts for the WWE. Tatanka has the longest streak accordin to his friend.
"Hello and welcome to the Future-Shock. I'd like to start on a bright note by congratulating my friend Chris Chavis (aka Tatanka). He has informed me he, and his family are expecting a baby boy! Chris still has the longest undefeated streak in WWE history by the way."
So I really don't know how long is Hussan's streak?

Blue Meanie discusses JBL incident; Possible legal action, more
Submitted by Brian Cantor on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 1:19 PM EST
In an interview with Alex Marvez, The Blue Meanie reportedly confirmed that he's at least considering legal action over the recent incident with JBL.
Meanie, who noted that the pair actually shook hands before the event, was completely shocked by the attack.
"I was thrown off guard," Meanie said. "I turned around and saw a shot coming right to my face."
The wrestler also commented on the incident that transpired backstage:
"People were between us and he started yelling about how I had talked bad about him on the Internet. I was like, 'It's a work...Look at him. The guy is 6-7, and 300-something pounds. He's a little more imposing than me."
Meanie does admit to offering unflattering opinions about JBL on the Internet; he also spoke against the WWE wrestler in a deposition during the Silverman case.
Marvez, of the Scripps Howard News Service, noted that WWE refused to allow JBL to comment; unless the reporter agreed to let WWE post audio on its website.

Hassan's streak was only about 6 or 7 months at the most. I think he made his debut around December and really didn't wrestle until January
The Undertaker may've had the longest streak. I don't think he got pinned until he lost to Hulk Hogan like a year after he debuted on Survivor Series.
Tatanka, I'm really not sure. He had an undefeated streak, but was it longer than a year?

speaking of streaks, was I the only one that REALLY hated the Goldberg streak? They padded it so ridiculously. Like, I remember one time, he was in a match, and he won by pin, but a few people attacked him after the match, and he like jackhammered people who WEREN'T EVEN IN THE MATCH and the ref counted the pin. The match was over, and it was just a sneak attack, but they still gave him like 4 wins.

that's strange. In GI Joe he was clearly the greatest fighter among both the Joes and Cobra, but in WWE he gets taken down like a slaugherhouse cow.

Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels- HBK wins it (prolonging the feud to a third match that will end it all)
WWE Championship Match: John Cena vs. Christian vs. Chris Jericho- Tough one for me to call, so I'm going to leave it open as all three are very, very likely

Because Cena's the WWE's current merchandise whore. How else is the WWE gonna sell all that merchandise like that replica spinner or those new shirts that come out every week.
And he does have a bit of charisma and intensity, I have to give him that. But they pussied him out a bit too much. Was never a fan of his wrestling these days, he's much too robotic, going through the motions.
But as long as he gets cheers from the crowds (most of that pandering to them) and his stuff sells, he'll continue to have that belt around his waist.....

That's right now. But a few years back, when he first turned heel and started the rapping gimmick, he was much, much, much better. He had way more intensity and his rapping back then had way more edge.
Hell, even when he first debuted as a plain babyface, he had a ****load of intensity as well. People even thought he would make it big back then because of that.

Batista is going to Smackdown
the whole Smackdown Championship thing is just there to make us think they won't trade him, and to set him up with a feud as soon as he gets there
if he wasn't going to be traded, then A. he would have lost the match, B. the Smackdown Championship would have been announced after no champions had been drafted to Smackdown

I honestly hope so. The WWE would have to be pretty dense to keep both champions on one show and decide to actually create another championship title.
And frankly, Batista would be much better on Smackdown. He could actually break out on his own as a main event champion, as well as help Randy Orton back into championship status.

No. Damn, I just remembered that Cena is on Raw and it makes a crappy situation. Do we keep Ego H on Raw and have him bury Cena, Christian, Jericho, and Angle. Or do we send Ego H to Smackdown along with Batista so he can get the title back?
Damn. The WWE is in a sorry state of affairs and I haven't watched Raw, Smackdown, or anything WWE related until something changes and that something needs to be Ego H.
I'm happy that Batista retained, but I can't help but wonder if there's an ulterior motive to Ego H jobbing again, simply because I think they should, hell I don't know anymore, as I said the WWE is in a sorry state of affairs and they just dug themselves in a deep hole. :down

It's funny because when I read the results the headline said "NEW WWE CHAMPION" but when I actually read what happened in the match I saw that John Cena won...immediately I got that sick feeling in my stomach thinking that HHH had beaten Batista but once again the champ retained his title.
So with the WWE title, World title and the new Smackdown title what's going to become of the "Heavyweight" namesake? I'm starting to think they're going to unify the WWE/World titles into a "RAW CHAMPION" like what Smackdown has going for them.

So now it leads me to believe that the belt Teddy Long was holding was the World Title and he's just waiting to announce that the winner of the 5 way match will face Batista for the belt.
Who's coming to RAW tonight? they're in my hometown of Anaheim, Ca but I can't make it for the show.

So what are going to be tonight's picks?
Some have said Rey to RAW, but who's going to Smackdown? (they still have one pick left after tonight).

Batista's going to Smackdown. On a RAW live show for August 26 everyone is featured minus Batista. Cena is billed as WWE Champion.
Smackdown gets two picks so it will be Batista and ?
What 2 come to raw tonight my guesses are Haas and Big Show.

If Haas comes to raw do you think him and Shelton will be back as partners? I dunno Shelton is doing good by himself.

Shelton should go back to Smackdown and reform the World's Greatest Tag Team, simply because there is a real lack in tag teams over there

I think Batista is going to Smackdown. I remember a commercial I saw promoting a Cena and Batista vs. Triple H and JBL tag team match on Raw in July. I think 1 from each side is from a different show so I think Batista goes to Smackdown and we have a Smackdown title unification match between him and JBL, then Triple H (as much as I hate this) will rival with Cena.

HHH needs to go off and make another movie so he can stay away from the title hunt. Being a 10x champion is less of an honor and more of an insult, it's like JBL said that one time "it just means you've lost the belt 10x".
I like Cena as champ and I like Batista as champ, but if they HAD to lose the belts I would say that Jericho and Benoit deserve better, longer title runs.
Donnie Darko
06-27-2005, 02:49 PM
HHH continually loses, so why does he even deserve to feud for the title? I'm tired of him hogging the main event.
I've missed some SD recently... are the Dudley Boys back in WWE? If not, which show will they be on?

Yeah. I really don't understand how WWE let the tag-team attraction get extinct. I mean, that was one of wrestling's greatest attractions: Tag-Teams.

I believe that Batista will go to Smackdown, Haas will go over to Raw not to tag with Benjamin but maybe start a feud, then I really don't know who the last picks will be.
Raw has more than one tag team, they have two. The Heartthrobs, and the World tag team champions The Hurricane and Rosey. While SD has MNM, and ...?
Spider fan930 where was that match being held? Cause I have said this before and I am just trying to figure out how many times they are going to fight each other. I have seen commercials for that same match, Batista and Cena vs. HHH and JBL, but the match was going to be on Smackdown and happing July 12 in Worcester MA. So I was wondering if was the same match?

06-27-2005, 03:37 PM
I dunno,I don't think HHH would stay on Raw if the Heavyweight Championship was on SD.They ****ed up by having Cena retain and they also ****ed up with HHH losing last night.Think about it,if someone like Christian or Jericho won the title, they could go to SD! and possibly carry it.Or,they could've given HHH the title,he goes to SD! and just put SD! out of it's misery AND get over this little fad of his with the championship.
Sabretooth
06-27-2005, 03:39 PM
Also,it won't matter who goes to SD! because SD! superstars will probably end up on raw unless they get a deal with another network ;)
greenlantern248

Yeah. I really don't understand how WWE let the tag-team attraction get extinct. I mean, that was one of wrestling's greatest attractions: Tag-Teams.
The Internet wrestling reporters basically killed tag team wrestling because of the pressures they put on wrestling and the subsequent direction the industry took as a result.
For one thing, the smarks generally have a low opinion of "gimmick" characters, even entertaining ones, because god forbid they make fans take wrestling less seriously. And historically, most tag teams have been based around gimmicks (for every Anderson/Blanchard there's 5 Killer Bees/Demolition/LOD).
Secondly, the smarks are always quick to whine that young upcoming talent needs to be in the main event light ASAP, meaning that once one or both members of a tag team start showing in-ring prowess and main event potential, there's immediate pressure to put them in a singles program and move them up the ladder (ie Shelton).

I had mentioned earlier that with the rumors of Batista going to SD! I am starting to believe that this whole "Smackdown title" is just a big scam to determine the #1 contender for Batista's World title. Since Teddy Long never actually showed the belt I am beginning to believe this even more. I just went to www.top-rope.com (where I go for my news) and they have something along those lines in there rumor section, here it is....
SmackDown! tapings tonight will be headlined by the Undertaker vs. JBL vs. Chris Benoit vs. Muhammad Hassan vs. Big Show vs. Booker T match for the new SmackDown! title, which now is rumored to be a swerve and only a match to determine the number one contender for Batista's World title.

Remember how great WCW's tag team scene was in the 90s? I mean, even if you don't like some of most of these teams, you have to respect the depth... Harlem Heat, Steiner Bros, Outsiders, Sting/Luger, Nasty Boys, Public Enemy, the various stables that could put together tag teams (Horsemen, Dungeon of Doom, other members of the NWO, Raven's Flock), American Males (ok, diss them if you will, but I gotta hold it down for Buff Bagwell), and probably others I am forgetting at the moment.

Those were the good ol days of tag team wrestling.
The Hollywood Blondes were another great dominating tag team, The Blue Bloods. Just looking at that list of teams it is bringing back some great memories...

damn it I miss tag team wrestling. There are seriously only two tag teams that I can think of at the moment that I really dig, and that's Hurricane and Rosey and the Dudleys. But yeah, it's true about how we ***** about anyone that shows promise not being pushed to the main event. As much as I really would love to see Shelton Benjamin in the main event, I actually think getting back together with Haas (as well as there being some other good tag teams) would really be better for WWE. I mean, look back a few years ago when Edge/Christian, the Hardys and the Dudleys used to beat the **** out of each other.

I really didn't want the Big Show to be drafter. First of all, I really don't like him. I pretty much don't think he is entertaining at all, so I wouldn't mind if he wasn't on EITHER show. Second of all, they need to move around some more midcarders. I was hoping for Haas and MAYBE Mysterio. If Haas doesn't get drafted, I hope Benjamin goes to SD. Maybe he and Haas can feud with Hassan and Davari. If not Benjamin, it needs to be Batista and Jericho to SD.

Or have Shelton go to SD!,though I'd like for that HBK/ANgle thing to happen too:( But they could also trade a few picks like they did last year (like HHH was traded for the Dudley Boys,Someone like Big SHow could be traded for Haas)

I honestly hope so. Haas was really the only SD wrestler I really wanted to see on Raw. And it's not like he's gonna be missed on SD anyways. He's nothing more than a tag team wrestler on Velocity. If given the chance on Raw, he could be IC champion putting on kickass matches
And the HBK/Shelton thing is just too perfect not to utilize. Remember the match they had? It looked like HBK saw something good in Shelton.

There could've been many possibilities if Haas had made the move regarding an upcoming feud with Benjamin, and both of them feuding, and adding Kurt Angle and HBK to the mix could help elevate both talents to the main event level.
It may seem like a minor draft getting Haas, but in the long-run, it could be beneficial....at least much more than moving Big Show or RVD IMO.....

I'd rather see Benjamin stay on Raw and Haas move. After-all, it was Benjamin moving to Raw in which he broke out. They could include the storyline that Benjamin was lucky he was drafted and if Haas went to Raw last year instead, he would've been exactly the same.
Seriously, I had so many ideas in my head about a Haas-Benjamin feud, and they dropped the ball twice!
Imagine what would've happened if it would've been Haas who was the draft pick last week and not Carlito....:o :(

But enough about my Haas *****ing. It's just that the draft has annoyed me so much. So far, it's looking like the "lottery" only has about 9 or 10 wrestlers in it, and those wrestlers are the big-name ones......
Sabretooth
06-27-2005, 11:04 PM
Yeah, have Haas lose, then have him and Shelton show each other a sign of respect, then maybe the week after he would be drafted, have one of them think of reforming WGTT.At Venegence,or at the next PPV,Haas turns on Shelton, then they start up a kick ass feud, with Angle and HBK intertwining with the feud as well as continuing their own.

Well if they are going for 'shock' like they did with Cena on RAW, they need to hit one of the big storylines from RAW and draft an unexpected wrassler. But if HHH is one of the picks I'll be happy. :) The RAW draft started with a shock, then got boring, the SD draft has been pretty boring throughout, so maybe they will end it with a big shocker.

Well the Smackdown spoilers are already in, and apparently the two draft picks to SD are:
Batista, which was rather obvious, and Christian, who takes the place of Big Show in the six-way elimination match. JBL pins Christian and thinks he wins the SD championship. But Theodore Long announces that there's no need for the SD title and Batista comes out.
Also it seems the Eddie-Rey feud takes a very disturbing turn....

Full Smackdown Spoilers
Offical WWE Smackdown! Spoilers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smackdown opened with a recap of Teddy Long announcing plans for a new Smackdown champion to be crowned tonight.
*Muhammad Hussan did an interview saying no one can defeat him, and complaining he was a prisoner in his own country. He called out Undertaker saying Taker didn't deserve to be in the Smackdown championshpip match tonight. Undertaker came out and chokeslammed Daivari.
*WWE Cruiserweight champion Paul London vs. Chavo Guerrero was stopped after Mexicool hit the ring and laid out both. They came out with the lawn mowers like last week and cut a promo saying they weren't going to take it from the "gringos."
*Backstage, Eddie Guerrero was interviewed. He was smiling and the interviewer asked why he was so happy, since he lost last week. Guerrero said he was smiling because he knew that Rey Mysterio was going to be in the ring later tonight begging Eddie not to "tell the truth."
*Backstage, Melina said it was going to be her night to shine.
*Melina pinned Michelle McCool. MNM came to ringside after the finish and hit the Snapshot after the bell. Heidenreich made the save and cleared the ring.
*Eddie Guerrero came to the ring and showed a video of Guerrero at a playground talking to Rey Mysterio's son in a "creepy way" offering to tell him a bedtime story. Mysterio hit the ring and Guerrero asked him if he thought it was time his son knew the truth. Rey asked Guerrero not to do this and Eddie told him to get on his knees and beg him. Rey did and Guerrero pulled out candy and smashed it in Rey's face, walking off.
Six-Way Elimination match: Christian vs. JBL vs. Chris Benoit vs. Undertaker vs. Muhammad Hussan vs. Booker T. Order of Elimination: Undertaker is disqualified for hitting Hussan with a chair. Hussan went to the back and was never officially eliminated. JBL pinned Chris Benoit. Christian pinned Booker. JBL pinned Christian to win the match.
*Teddy Long came out holding a sack with the "Smackdown title" saying that JBL won the match but not the Smackdown title, since Long was just informed they don't need a Smackdown champion.
*WWE World champion Batista's music hits and he comes to the ring, faces off with JBL and brawls with him.
