I know it because ive seen Kane work with all the top guys and he is a standard big man and ive never seen any good promo's from him plus as i said big monsters don't draw unless they are Vader.

Andre and Taker are both streets ahead in the presence department which is important for big freakish dudes and they still were never looked at as long term draws with the belt
Takers longest run was only because of all the problems with HBK and Hart in 97

When McMahon interviewed for the role, Thea Vidale was told that she was not fat enough and needed to wear a fat suit for the role.

Shelton's real mother wouldn't be compatible for a role like that due to the fact that she is the complete opposite in what they are looking for.

Hulk Hogan stated today on Howard Stern's Sirius, that the last time he spoke with Vince McMahon was around SummerSlam time in regards to a possible Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan match.

And to be honest, besides the "live sex act" (did they really have to show Edge's package like that? blech!!), it was a pretty enjoyable Raw. Capped by that tag team match of Michaels/Angle vs Masters/Carlito. The last part of that tag match actually had me cracking up :up:

As much of a fan as I am of Edge,I agree. He's really taken it down a notch after being separated from Christian,now he has no one to lie back on. He's also had the most gimmick changes in recent memory. I mean,he went from goth,to his heel 'shoot' gimmick tag team with Christian,to a bland face after his neck injury,to a bland Raven type ''What about me?'' heel gimmick,then after the Matt Hardy thing,he became an actually interesting heel for a while (they really screwed up that feud) and now he's a rated R/Dane Cook character.

As for RR I am going to be there & while i am going to be pissed WHEN Cena wins the belt (I really only think they did the angle sunday just to get the money in the bank thing out of the way... Which is why they haven't changed the belt)... But I am so friggin excited about RVD's return i can on only imagine the pop he gets that night. I really hope he returns as the resident ECW revolutionary.

After watching RAW tonight, I'm starting to get the feeling that some of the fans don't know who to cheer or who to boo; boo Cena last night, he tells the fans to kiss his ass, and they still cheer. And maybe I was hearing things but I think I might have heard some cheers for Calito.

This kinda reminds me of when The Rock came back to RAW and did a heel turn that led to a feud with Goldberg, then he left again and came back as a face all of a sudden.

After watching RAW tonight, I'm starting to get the feeling that some of the fans don't know who to cheer or who to boo; boo Cena last night, he tells the fans to kiss his ass, and they still cheer. And maybe I was hearing things but I think I might have heard some cheers for Calito.

This kinda reminds me of when The Rock came back to RAW and did a heel turn that led to a feud with Goldberg, then he left again and came back as a face all of a sudden.

The reason why the fans started cheering for Cena again was probably because Cena finally turned back into the character that fans cheered for in the first place.

Firsst off, I haven't been really into Edge since his Hair vs. Hair feud with Kurt Angle. His heel character never got over with me. He was either bland or just whiny. There's potential, but it's stayed just that, potential. I can't stand him with the belt. It doesn't really make sense. The buildup hasn't been there and the way he got the belt holds no credibility. Seems like he's gonna be a transition champ to set up something at WM (maybe Cena vs. HHH or the Triple Threat that's been rumored. HHH did mention both of them in his promo).

Cena was good tonight. He showed some of that anti-hero stuff that got him over in the first place. He doesn't need to be sucking up to the crowd all the time. It was good to hear him tell some of the crowd to 'kiss his ass'.

Of course, everytime I jsut excited about something WWE is doing, they find some inexplicable way to screw it up. I'm still waiting for Kane to be the monster they always hint at.

This week's RAW was exteremly disappointing outside of the Tag Match. Don't know if I want to watch next week's if this is how it's going to be each week, Angel v. Michaels or not.

WWE should have left RVD's return at the Royal Rumble a surprise. Hearing his music hit all of a sudden halfway through the Rumble match, the crowd explosion could be epic. I know it still will, but it would have felt better if it was a surprise.

The only great part about RAW last night was when Ric Flair came out and did what he does best, and that was talk on the microphone and entertain the crowd, he got a really good pop and I think it was because the fans wanted to cheer for something good and last night's RAW did not deliver at all. The sex thing was DUMB, Chavo vs Conway could have gone a bit longer to showcase both of there skills. Happy to see Chavo winning and getting into the Royal Rumble. Trish vs Ashley UGH, get rid of the Mickie James gimmick and allow the girl to do what she does best and actually wrestle.

And I agree with NDX, RVD's returns should have been left alone for a shock/surprise element for the big PPV

And was it just me or did it seem like Lillian was messing up last night on the microphone?

After watching Raw, I can't believe that the same guy who was behind the awesome shoot-esque promo with Michael PS Hayes only a few weeks ago did one of the most cringe worthy segments since Mae Young at RR2000. Edge is becoming stale and he doesn't seem to look comfortable or convincing in his current heel gimmick. And Lita just needs to shut up. I don't care if she exposed a breast last night, she must be stopped. She is not a major heel because of talented mic work or in ring skills. She is a huge heel because her dirty laundry got aired in public and in a lot of these cases I don't agree with their use, especially when her character (Can we even call it that when it is grounded in reality so much?) appears to be smug and proud about everything she did in real life.

As for Edge, I was telling people months ago that this was how he would cash in his money in the bank, but I thought he would pull it just before Wrestlemania was about to go off the air, because once WM ends, his year window of opportunity would end. When I heard about the chamber, I thought it was shocking and clever, but Raw showed me that he doesn't seem ready for the main event!......

As noted several days ago, Vince McMahon gave Joey Styles a meeting two weeks ago prior to RAW letting him know that he needed to work on his announcing style. Vince was very open about telling Styles what he was doing wrong and what he wanted from him. Sources report that Joey is going to need to learn that he is not calling 'ECW matches' and that if he wants to stay on RAW long-term, he'll need to change his ways. Styles is a great play by play announcer, although WWE has one way and that is Vince's way. Styles has been very vocal in the past about WWE's over-the-top storylines. He was also nearly silent for the sex segment on RAW last night. It's amazing what a WWE contract can do to one person.

Bret Hart was recently approached with the idea of doing a short match with his arch nemesis Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania. The basis idea of the match would be that Vince would run into Bret's fist, get put in the sharpshooter and then it would be over as McMahon would tap out. Hart politely declined doing the match. He is supposed to be with his wife on vacation in Italy during Wrestlemania anyways.

Hulk Hogan is currently on crutches because Big Show stepped on his foot while they were shooting a movie a few weeks ago. Hogan should be off the crutches by the time Wrestlemania rolls around though. He is slotted to wrestle in a match at Wrestlemania, although, his opponent hasn't been finalized. A match with Steve Austin doesn't seem likely. There's a chance he may wrestle John Cena, but that's not likely either. Hogan's likely opponent for Wrestlemania will either be Kurt Angle or The Big Show.

Batista has been flown in and is backstage at the SmackDown! taping right now.

The plan before when Batista tore his lat was to give the title to Randy Orton but Batista wanted to work though the pain. It is expected that he will either lose the title tonight in a short match or they will do some sort of tournament.

There is no heat on Mark Henry as it was a planned spot. If anything, Batista is to blame for trying to work through the first lat tear although he did it because he was champion and didn't want to cause any issues.

Early word is that Batista is expected to be out several months and WrestleMania is unlikely.

It could go either way, it could make Smackdown look good and intriguing with a tournament, or it could make Smackdown look weak if the tournament craps out not too mention what will they do if Orton is the champ, who will he fued with, cause I think even marks are sick of Orton/UT. Henry, no, two heels plus Henry sucks, Benoit, that would mean the WWE would have to do something right and they haven't lately. Booker, no, again two heels plus fans don't see Booker as a title contender. JBL, possibly a face turn, but I doubt it. Rey, possibly, but I still don't think his size would make him a viable title contender. So, I don't know what they're going to do, but my guess will be a continued feud with Undertaker and a possible fued with Benoit.

Liquid 8 is a record and entertainment label that produces cds (Fear Factory a few years back) and dvds. They seems with press the dvds that are associated with World Wrestling Network (wwndvd.com). I have a few dvds from them, 2 NEW and ROH, and they cover other companies, such as an AWA series of shows in Florida, and others. The dvds have been 10 bucks a piece so far, so it's a worthy investiment to discover indy wrestling events and pretty good wrestling. I've seen them sold commonly at FYE, where I purchased mine today.

It might be a good idea to look for the Bret Hart dvd there if you don't already have it. I found it on sale for $12.99, from $32.99.

Plus I found an NWA Wildside AJ Styles 2 disc dvd set that has a rare fancam taping of the NWA 53rd Anniversary Show with 13 NWA title matches. Plus a dvd of 5 AJ Styles matches.

I found the NWA Wildside dvd in the middle of nowhere among a mix of dvds and games. It was by sheer chance I found it. It was right when I walked in, and I saw it out of the corner of my eye waiting on line to sell back cds I found. But the others cds, such as AWA, NEW and the one ROH was in the Special Interests section (wrestling, sports, etc.) among the FMW, CZW, XPW and UFC dvds. A little searching will get you far.

You might also find a few old compilation dvds among the mix. I only didn't buy any of them because I only had a $60 credit and wasn't willing to spend more than $20 dollars over that.

I'm actually glad with this decision. Kurt Angle was going to be relegated to number 3 heel soon (behind Edge and Triple H), so a move to SD means he could be the number 1 heel on that show....

So, are the rumors about Angle using steroids and human growth hormones true? Someone in another board posted comparison pics of Angle in '96 and pics of him now and pointed out that his head has gotten bigger which is a result of using HGHs.

Also, on that message board someone posted that Angle's arms looked weird and someone replied that it was due to muscle atrophy, is this true?

I think of all the shows WWE had, my favorites were Sunday Night Heat and WWF Superstars. With Heat, I at least had something to watch before all the good sunday night shows came on, and with Superstars there was actually something good that came on saturday mornings after the cartoons were over.
