SMACKDOWN SPOILERS
Mark Henry comes down with Daivari and said he was overlooked. Batista overlooked him and he hurt him so bad he had to give up the title. Then Angle overlooked him, Teddy Long overlooked him and Undertaker overlooked him for a title shot. He called Angle out. Angle told Henry that he was a wrestling machine and hit the ring. They brawled. Randy Orton ran down and jumped Angle and they double-teamed him time until Rey Mysterio made the save. Rey ended up getting smashed by Henry. Theodore Long came out and made the main event match up: Henry and Orton vs. Mysterio and Angle.
Match 1
Money in the Bank Qualifier
Finlay vs. Lashley
This one didn't even make it to the ring. Finlay pounded Lashley with the shillelagh and they brawled all the way back stage.
Next out was JBL. He thanked us for all of our get -well cards. He then talked about how Stone Cold Steve Austin left his name out when discussing the greatest Texan wrestlers of all time in his interview with WWE.com. He challenged Stone Cold to a beer-drinking contest at SNME.
Match 2
William Regal vs. Pirate Paul Burchill
Burchill swung out on a big rope. His entrance video is kind of funny. This was the sleeper of the night. The crowd didn't know who to cheer for. Burchill won with the exploder suplex.
Winner: Pirate Paul
Booker T came out with Sharmell, he had a bag of complaint letters about the Boogeyman, and this was some funny stuff. He mentioned Worms Digest and some people of color's
association. Theodore Long told him he could take up all his complaints with the Boogeyman at SNME. Just then, red smoke came out of the bag and the Boogeyman came out. Booker and Sharmell took off through the crowd. Boogeyman dumped out the bag of letters but it was full of worms, which he proceeded to eat.
Backstage we see Gregory Helms sporting an Owen Wilson like nose job. He tells Long his nose was broken during the overseas tour. Theodore says he feels bad and for making Helms defend the Cruiserweight title every week, tonight he will get a break . . . from defending the title, because tonight he will face Chris Benoit!
Match 3
Jillian Hall vs. Kristal
This was a "Diva's Undressed" match. Jillian had an awkward lump near the genital area.
Winner: Kristal
Match 4
Gregory Helms vs. Chris Benoit
This match was fun, lots of chain wrestling and rest holds. Benoit hit a nice German. Helms hit the Eye of the Hurricane. Benoit locked in the sharpshooter but Helms made it to the ropes. Helms tried to leave but Jamie Noble, Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Kid Kash threw him back in the ring. Helms went for a Shining Wizard but Benoit ducked and nailed a huge released German suplex then a top rope headbutt, and then applied the crossface right on Helms broken nose. Helms tapped right away.
Winner: Chris Benoit
They showed an Animal promo on the screen where he said he was the Road Warrior, not Hawk or Heidenreich. He'll have a match with Hardy next week.
Then they showed Lashley and Finlay battle outside. Lashley flipped a car over and it nearly crushed Finlay.
Main Event
Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton and Mark Henry
Great ovation, the crowd was hot for everyone. Angle and Orton in particular have great chemistry. This had another BS finish when Orton slammed Angle into the steps and Henry splashed the ref in the corner. For about 10 seconds, I swear Orton popped out. Daivari got a table and set it up and it broke. He got another table and put Rey on it and when he did the leg fell off. He got a third table and set Rey up for a splash but Angle made the save. Angle tried to suplex Henry off the top rope through the table but Henry pushed him off and then splashed Angle through the table!!!! Taker's music hit and he said he'd face Henry at WM22 in a CASKET MATCH.

Yeah it was a good match. And i agree SD! is way better than Raw. Raw to me and what they do especially with Vince handling things i want shot him with a semi automatic. That's how much i dislike Vince. Sorry fot that but's true. And with SD! i never get tired of it. It just keeps entertaining and right now it's awesome.

I think everyone is basically tired of Vince and the McMahons at the moment. Seriously, I don't know why they're taking up half the time on Raw just to make Micheals, one of the greatest all-around wrestlers the WWE has had, look like a complete and utter fool. I don't think it's just pure coincidence that SD is considered the superior show by many and that there are no McMahons on the show :o

I disagree. His match was greaat & it makes sence he loses to Benoit, but in his title defeence he always pulls iit out. So it's not like he went to SD! to job, he was champoined, given time to be a cool smarmy heel, & if he gets beat down by the other cruisers it's because they are trying to be billed as something otherthan just "nobodies". Plus I know all the ECW & ROH fans wouldn't take to kindly to you calling Kid Kash, Mexicools, Nunzio, Spanky, Paul London & Jaime Noble nobodies.

I was thinking that since theres no crusierweight at the moment who has yet to defeat Helms, why not the Miz? Since he's debuting in a couple weeks, they could probably be setting up something similar to what they did when Carlito first debuted. He had his first title match, with his first debut inside a WWE ring. And won only by cheating, not that I'm saying Miz would do the same to pick up his victory. Still though, theres a chance he could take it...

That's a pretty good idea, considering the WWE doesn't have any stables right now and could use a couple, putting those wrestlers together would work well, except for Mark Henry, maybe they could bring in another OVW wrestler like Da Beast (6'6 272 lbs), or Dalip Singh, he has a hollywood movie under his belt and would fit into the hollywood gimmick stable, anybody but Mark Henry...
And instead of Davari who should be wrestling, what is the status of Johnny Fairplay? Is he still under contract with TNA? If not I say that the WWE should sign him, prime him and throw him in as there manager....

The ROH show tonight was nuts...I'll give match reviews later, but for now I'd like to tell the tale of what happened at the end of the show.
The main event of the night was supposed to be an old school Three Way Dance in honor of the venue (former ECW Arena on the corner of Ritner and Swanson), between Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and Colt Cabana. Obviously, this would kick ass. Well, before the match began, it was announced that Joe's flight came in late, so the Three Way became a singles match between Colt and Daniels. Throughout the event, the CZW fans (who attended for the CZW show later in the night) crapped on the matches. Even the great one between Shelley and Danielson, the wouldn't stop ******ing. So obviously, Joe no showing only increased tensions. Luckily, after Daniels was pinned by Colt, Joe's music hit, and he came out wearing a t-shirt and jeans. So, he hauled ass from the airport, which means the whole late flight thing wasn't a work. Joe and Colt wrestled a match, and Joe pinned Colt.
Afterwards, BJ Whitmer showed up (earlier during his challenge to Necro Butcher, he was ambushed by Super Dragon, who was promptly chased off by the ROH locker room) and asked Joe if he was ready for another fight. He called out Butcher and Dragon. There's an anecdote before this where Joe gets nailed by some douche who decided to throw toilet paper, and Joe jumped the rail and grabbed the guy, but that's not as important. So, Joe and BJ proceeded to beat on Necro and Dragon, when members of the CZW locker room stormed the ring. Joe and BJ brawled with them for a while, and ROH students came and helped fend them off. More CZW guys came, and eventually Generation Next (minus Jack), and Christopher Daniels helped fend off the CZW guys. Of course, this didn't last long as Daniels, Joe, Gen Next and the rest of the locker room was chased off by some psycho with a weed whacker. Then the rest of the CZW locker room decides to show up and torture (not using the word lightly here) BJ Whitmer. They taped him to the ring ropes, stapled CZW logos on to him, spray painted CZW on his back and torso, and generally just beat the piss out of him. Necro even destroyed the ring bell, and was taking down the ropes with a hammer. The CZW music hit, and the Tron type thing (which had been playing the ROH logo all night) played the CZW logo. The CZW locker room spray painted "CZW" over the ROH symbol in the ring, and some fights started to break out in the crowd. This is when I left, and the guys in the ring started talking about "Ring of Honor coming to their house, and getting what was coming to them". Fights probably ensued, which is why me and FallenAngel decided to leave.
Really fun ending to a really fun show...match reviews later.
Oh, and **** CZW. :)

Yeah, I'll give my own reviews of the matches later. Anyways, that fan that threw the toilet paper at Joe passed out in Joe's arms. It was awesome. He tried to get away, but Joe jumped over the rail, grabbed him, and started dragging him back to the ring. The dude went limp and the security guys had to carry him out. Joe is God.

There were even promos during the match, when Shelley got fed up with the heckling and ripped into the crowd. Lots of hold exchanges in the first part of the match, so it was a little slow going at the start. This gave the Combat Zone junkies a chance to chant "Booooring" and "This match sucks!". Of course, this lit a fire under AmDrag and Shelley, and they both gave 110% in the second and third act. It was almost flawless from then on with some breath taking near falls and great psychology from Shelley. The finish from AmDrag was just genius.

Wargames! Hells yeah!
Anyway, Shelley/AmDrag was easily the best match tonight. Fantastic mat work by both. AmDrag was incredible as a heel. He also did some **** RVD style, with a springboard senton from the ring into the crowd. Awesome stuff. They had some good back and forth. AmDrag got Cattle Mutilation, but Shelley broke it. Shelley hit the Shellshock, but AmDrag kicked out. The ending was incredible. Shelley hit Sliced Bread #2, and AmDrag rolled through, flipped over him, turned it into Cattle Mutilation, and then got a pin. Amazing.

Also...on another note...the Rottweilers became the number one contenders after the tag team scramble match. I had thought the Briscoes would be the ones to get it, but there was a reason why my prediction was off. Since the Briscoes are currently feuding with GenNext, they came out after Sydal's match with Aries (which was great). Sydal said that since Roddy and Austin were already in a match at 4/22 with the Rottweilers, he would take care of the Briscoes with his own tag team partner....AJ Styles. :D
****, I knew I was gonna miss a good one. Guess I'll have to settle for the dvd.

The plan is for Jim Ross to make his on-screen WWE return at next week's "Saturday Night's Main Event" telecast on NBC.
There had been talk that WWE wanted to reintegrate Ross into storyline, at least for the short-term, as part of the build to WrestleMania, and it seems as if WWE has officially decided on a date.
Ross will be commentating this event, although it is not believed he will be brought back as a full-time announcer for RAW or SmackDown.
Ross, who remains under WWE contract, has been off WWE TV since his on-air "firing" late last year.

Good - JR is back behind the mic.
Bad - JR is back behind the mic on a show where Steve Austin is appearing.

This was just posted by Gabe on the ROH boards:
I've had enough. Our debut show at the former ECW Arena was completely ruined by those CZW idiots. Weedwackers? What the **** is that? The ROH roster is made up of real wrestlers, athletes who don't expect to get hacked. Our guys go to PPV and national TV, they don't need to show up with scars from a weedwacker.
So then I get a call from BJ Whitmer after the CZW show saying Zandig was talking trash about April 22nd. Hey Zandig, you owe us $3000 for a new canvas and banners you stupid ****. What the **** was with the spray paint.
I could sit here all night and rant and rave but i'll just sum this up simply.
The gloves are definitely off now. We have been having our fun with you guys, but now you are making us get deadly serious. April 22nd ROH has a show back in our Philadelphia home of the National Guard Armory. We challenge anyone from the CZW roster to show up for a fight. You bring a team to face team ROH.
We'll even make things seem a little like home for you. On April 22nd we will have bleachers on both sides of the ring. One side for the ROH fans. One side for the CZW fans. The CZW fans will be made at home in their own section so you guys will have plenty of support. Now the question is do you have the balls?
You got our attention now. You ruined our debut and only former ECW Arena show. April 22nd show up because it's time to pay the price.
I'll be there as well. :D

Even old Cena couldn't have said that. While that would've been awesome,Vince would go ballistic. In his mind he thinks wrestling fans don't know about Triple H's personal life and that they divorced in that storyline. You could tell Cena was thinking of saying that though.
But we are allowed to know that Cena is an average wrestler though. I'm not saying that Cena has to say something like Triple H sleeps with the boss's daughter, just respond to something in kind just to at least try and prove that he's somewhat better than Triple H.
Eric Draven
03-12-2006, 05:53 PM
WM is still 3 weeks away, that gives Cena (who btw will not be thrown down the ladder after WM there is a usual rematch at Backlash) plenty of timee eitheer before or after WM to respond back. because if this isn't the fiirst step of a heel turn (frustration) theen i don't know what is.
I'm hoping there's at least a punk-out at SNME. That's like the perfect opportunity right there for something to happen.
Eric Draven
03-12-2006, 05:54 PM
That's exactly what I was looking for. It would have been perfect. Instead, Cena just stood there. They might as well have had him bend over.
Yep. The John Cena that was popular wouldn't have taken that ****. He would've burned his opponent back in kind. And that's what made him popular in the first place. None of this "I know people don't like me, but that's cool because I'm a huge wuss now".

I'm telling you, there's not much Cena could say. A few years ago he was against Rene Dupree,Booker,Big Show, and Angle. Those guys it wouldn't matter what he said. It's a different ballgame with Triple H,and Cena would've gotten fired right then and there if he said something about Triple H.

Ross, who remains under WWE contract, has been off WWE TV since his on-air "firing" late last year
