It just sounds incredibly gay. Honestly, why dress up as a barbarian or a gangster? Holy smokes, that's like Rico-level of gayness :(Dude, CM Punk was one of the gangsters.

Think of it like an acid trip, and it becomes much less gay.

Of course, this means the doom of CM Punk.

You know, I told everyone though. I said H was no good and now they're seeing it for themselves.

I will say that I wanted H to win and to put an end to this endless Cena machine that has been shoved down our throat. Hell, I even admitted to wanting H to win in the end, but what do we get? We get him tapping out at WM and that's how he shows Edge how to play a heel?

Angle, Edge, Jericho, Booker T, Kane, Jeff Hardy, and RVD all got screwed over because of this moment?

You mean to tell me you couldn't put over Jericho, Booker T, Kane, Jeff Hardy, and RVD?

But you can put over Batista and Cena? And Benoit doesn't count as being put over, since HBK was involved in the match and the rematch doesn't count since Eugene got involved.

I didn't think about it that way. Good point Sarge. Cena is over, but he's not over in the sense where people want to see him.

How many times is Vince going to think he can continue to have Cena superman his way to a victory? Vince thinks he knows what we want, but truly, he has no idea and this is further proof that there is no clear concept as to what is good product for him.

You know Cena better drop the title tomorrow for sure. Either drop the title or turn him heel, if you turn him heel that'll solve all of their problems.

He was a ****ty heel during the fued, but I still think the heel heat he got from losing is the reason he went through with it.

He's set for heat, this incident upped his heel-age more than the Lita/Hardy incident did for Edge

Yes. I don't care what anyone says, this PPV delivered more than any TNA PPV, any RoH show I've seen. More than any Mania I've seen. Most Manias have an anticlimactic feeling to them. This one didn't, it had a disappointing ending but other than that the show was golden.

I thought the biggest mistake of the night was letting Rey go over. Yes, worse than Cena. Orton was doing so well as the heel, Angle was a great face. And it will only be a matter of time before people realize Rey won the title tonight because of Eddie's death. That may sound bad but you can't deny that's why he won. He wasn't even close to sniffing the title when Eddie died. The fans in Chicago knew, I knew it, it's only a matter of time before other fans realize it. That's a horrible idea. The main title should not switch hands on the weekly show, nor in a rematch right after a PPV.

It was stupid when Angle beat Austin and then lost it back the next night and it will be stupid if Cena retains at Mania only to lose it on RAW.

It's essentially the wrestling version of a retcon. "We couldn't do it right the first time, so hopefully the fans are too stupid to remember the last 24 hours."

some people nitpick too much. i liked wrestlemania and i was definitely entertained. triple h and cena was a pretty decent match and the only reason i was entertained by it is probably because i was in utter disbelief when cena won... i hate cena but i like to be suprised, so that wasn't so bad. i was right about rey mysterio winning the world title and i'm definitely glad that he won. he deserves it and that has nothing to do with eddie's unforunate death, cuz rey deserved that title regardless. he's been around for a long time, he's always had great matches, and he's over. mcmahon/michaels was very entertaining. money in the bank was awesome just as i hoped, rvd won! that was awesome cuz i really thought flair was going to win. undertaker and henry was pretty boring, but wrestlemania wouldn't be the same without the undertaker and the druids. edge and mick foley put on an insane match with the sickest spot of the night to cap off the bloody brawl. it was beautiful. boogeyman sucks but booker t is awesome, so that match wasn't too bad. it did get kinda boring but thankfully it wasn't too long. i had a feeling jbl was going to win the us championship and i was right, which is unforunate because jbl sucks and benoit is friggin awesome. still, the match was entertaining just becasue benoit is that good. i also had a feeling mickie james was gonna win and i was right. even though she messed up the end of the match, the rest of it was pretty good. and how could i not be entertained watching that lil skirt? speaking of which, playboy pillow fight? stupid and pointless but hot and sexy, therefore definitely entertaining.

not the best mania ever as someone ridiculously stated, but it was definitely pretty good. if i was to judge everything in life by a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give wrestlemania lucky number 7.

i remember somebody saying recently on here that rvd can't get a crowd reaction... well, in the mitb he was the only one consntaly getting cheered and having his name chanted on the grandest stage of all, and with his victory, he's going to get a lot more. HA!!

He won the title because of Eddie. Not saying he didn't deserve it, but he won it because of Eddie. Like I said, four months ago he wasn't even sniffing the title, but then Eddie dies an BAM!, two months later he wins the Rumble. Reports dating back to October had Orton winning the Rumble, but gets to changed to Rey out of nowhere. Don't tell me the timing of his win didn't hve to do with Eddie. Did he deserve to win the title, of course, but this way, no.

punishermax
04-03-2006, 01:19 AM
That's a horrible idea. The main title should not switch hands on the weekly show, nor in a rematch right after a PPV.

It was stupid when Angle beat Austin and then lost it back the next night and it will be stupid if Cena retains at Mania only to lose it on RAW.

It's essentially the wrestling version of a retcon. "We couldn't do it right the first time, so hopefully the fans are too stupid to remember the last 24 hours."

Why shouldn't it. Its pretty much a fact that unpredictability brings in fans and a World title change on Raw is not predictable, so if that were to happen it would bring in a bunch of fans.

I just thought of an actual logical reason why I think HHH will win tomorrow night.

Ratings after Mania are always higher to see the results. But when the fans who tune in only to watch for the results see that Cena is still champ, that will make them bored and not want to watch next week. But if HHH wins tomorrow night, the unpredictability factor kicks in and those fans will want to tune in next week to see what the backlash (All pun intended) is. And the WWE knows that.

It's gotten to a point where I don't care if he turned heel, somehow trained and became the greatest all around wrestler ever, I just don't want to see him as a main eventer anymore. I'd really like it if I didn't have to see him at all, but that's too much to ask for.

HBK will now go off on a soul searching journey because he will have felt bad about acting like old evil HBK last night.

I still cant get over how he jumped up there with no problem not saking it or almost falling or anything. And Carlito needs to have a belt after that move he pulled on Kane. But it is sad when the Womens title match was better then the mens. That move Mickie did at the end where she kicked Trish to make her fall and then hit her with her knee before she hit the ground was nice.

I suppose changing hands RARELY on the network shows is fine, but never directly after a PPV. As I said, it pretty much invalidates the entire PPV match. You might say "Oh well. I'm still sticking by my story that H will win the title tomorrow night.

It appears that JBL will now claim to be the greatest technical wrestler of all-time because he won titles from both Guerrero and Benoit.

I think it sucks that Rey Mysterio is being written off by the coat tails of Eddie Guerrero's death.
It's fake as crap because you have to be at least 220 lbs. to be eligable to compete for the title.

I cant help feeling a little sorry for Cena after that match.
Winning the title belt and getting boo'ed by the fans breaking kayfabe.

BTW, Does anyone think D-X possibly being reformed is a good thing or a bad thing?

Looks like Rey Mysterio's first title defence will be against Randy Orton this Friday on Smackdown!.

How does Orton get the first shot when he was the one pinned in the triple threat? Unless this is how WWE plans to get the belt on Orton, leading to a feud with Angle, where he comes out the victor, leading a feud with the returning Batista, where he will drop the belt there.

I agree, but I feel WWE will just throw him into the title hunt to bank off of Batista's and Orton's Evolution history.

Taker's match with Angle at No Way Out was the best WWE match I've seen since Angle's Wrestlemania match with HBK last year. My friend and I watched it around 5 AM and it was just spectacular. Taker showed that he can still perform in the ring and produce an amazing match, given the right opponent. But then again, this is just personal opinion.

Even though I'm not too happy with many of the outcomes of last night's WrestleMania, I am looking forward to purchasing the dvd set for it in the long run.

If any of you get the chance, check out 101 Reasons Not To Be A Pro Wrestler. It's a pretty entertaining documentary. It's cheaper to purchase it through RF Video than HollyMood Entertainment, oddly enough. (I wish I was getting paid for plugging this.)

It seems like on Raw tonight, Show and Kane defend their tag-titles against the SPirit Squad. Might the two have to defend their belts against the ENTIRE Squad? That might be the only way to defeat the two, strength in numbers. Plus, if the Spirit Squad as a whole becomes tag champions, that could also help to form a splinter within the group later on, leading to individual feuds among SS members.....

Well, it might help to revitalize the tag-team division on Raw again, particularly with some of the Spirit Squad members. And I would absolutely be for teaming some of the weaker SS members up with some of the stronger members just to even things out.

There were no serious injuries at WrestleMania and nothing significant happened after the event.
(Well, that's positive.)

There is a strong possibility that we could see a tag title change on RAW tonight as the Sprit Squad push continues.
(I would really enjoy seeing them as tag champs and pulling a XXX where they can have any of the 5 members defending the belts at any time.)

As of last word, Hulk Hogan was scheduled to be a part of RAW tonight. They are rumored to be setting up a major angle tonight that will revolve around WrestleMania 23 next year with Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan. Both may appear tonight, one is definitely likely.
(WHY?!?!?!?!?)

As of last word, Osama Rodriguez Alejandro from OVW was expected to debut tonight on RAW under a modified name.
(Dunno how this will come off yet. Will have to wait for tonight to find out.)
