Edge seems to back in the running now, though. And Shane will get the company before Trips.

I dunno, does Shane really want the company? I think I heard him say before that he wasn't interested in taking over.

Besides, I think Triple H and Steph are the kind of heirs Vince sees in taking over his empire....

Some more information on the Randy Orton situation has come out. First of all, it has nothing to do with the baseline drug testing that was recently administered.

Apparently Orton has been having issues since January, when Kurt Angle was brought to Smackdown. There have been a number of disciplinary problems since then that have been kept inside the company.

During the WrestleMania weekend, he flagrantly defied the dress code. All of these issues have been building, causing a lot of heat with the locker room. It looks like this all came to a climax and WWE felt that they had no choice but to discipline him.

Looks like another great show with MNM vs Spanky/London and the return of KOTR as well as Brent Albright debuting and Rey vs Orton

Sad to hear Rey is getting booed:(

Thanks for HHH's theme Punishermax:up: the chords remind me a bit of Enter The Sandman

I think it's frustration, his first run was sunk with an ill advised and badly executed Face run, then he had a feud with Taker that he had to work mostly on his own against flashing lights and voice-overs while acting like a goof followed by getting buried at Armageddon
Then Batista gives up the belt and instead of him getting it they draft Angle over and give it to him, then at WM22 they put it on Rey mainly due to Eddie's death and he is out in the cold again

But he's always had that attitude problem though. I mean, he was AWOL when he was like 18 or 19 (I really forget how long ago he was in the marines, I'm just guessing that). I think mainly it's a huge snowball effect. The WWE maybe thought he wasn't ready during his first title reign due to his attitude, so they took it off him. And that made the whole thing even worse.

I honestly hope this suspension helps to clear his mind because Orton really does have the potential to be a great main-eventer.....or he could end up like the aforementioned Hall.

Thats true but i read that while he was away with his shoulder injury he met some woman and is now engaged and had been no problem since returning, the first sign of trouble coincided with them putting the belt on Angle when he wasn't even on SD and i think the frustration has brought that other side of him that you mentioned back out

I can't believe there are three different Impalers

One where Edge lifts the guy and then DDTs him (like in the gamecube games)
One where he does a spin (Vito does this and it's the one on the Smackdown Series)
One he actually does where he jumps back instead of falling back

In my college days I wanted to be a pro wrestler, especially for ECW.

After I watched the first season of "Tough Enough", I lost interest in becoming a wrestler, and more interested in becoming a manager like Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Fuji, or Paul Heyman when he was Paul E. Dangerously.

However, it seems the days of managers is dead.

oh god, I've made so many

Lets see

there's the Magic Lock a half nelson with your leg over the stomach down opponents right arm then a crossface that pulls up on their head and neck, but the leg makes it worse

There's the Magic Lock II which is a half nelson rear naked choke, like the Tazzmission, but actually grabbing your right tricep with the left hand which is applying the half nelson (it cranks the neck and makes it harder to get out of the RNC)

The Magic Lock III a reverse Texas Clover Hold (the Gorilla clutch hold in japan)

Flowers for Algernon starts like a back suplex with a full nelson thrown in, into a facebuster that leads up to the Magic Lock

The Stardust Driver starts out like a back suplex, hooks right arm onto opponents left leg and flips them over shoulders into a torture rack, straight into a Burning Hammer

the Shadow DDT a DDT that starts like a suplex, but ends like a DDT

Crossface Chickenwing except swung to the side so that both wrestlers end up on their side and the opponent gets the side of their head driven into the mat

An unnamed move that starts like an inverted Karelin and flips over like the Testdrive

Another unnamed move that starts like a Karelin except the opponent is slammed in a manner much like Kenta Kobashi's Diamond Head

so far I've only copied one move, I hope nobody starts using any of those before I get a chance to :(

The FallenAngel
04-05-2006, 08:50 PM
Awesome list. That's alot. I've always been a fan of the Lariat, so I know I would use that as one. My main would be the Deathplex, which is a release half nelson, half chickenwing suplex. I'd also use a modified Texas cloverleaf, which is the move Eddie(R.I.P.) used; it was called the Lasso from El Paso. Basically, a cloverleaf, only with a knee placed on the back of the neck for extra pressure.

he did really end his career using the standard Texas Cloverleaf

I also am a huge fan of the Lariat and I've said that if I ever came up with a variation/used a regular Lariat, I would call it TAAS (These Arms Are Snakes, one of my favorite bands)

Foley is Blog: Reflecting on WrestleMania
By Mick Foley
April 5, 2006
I now stand corrected. I wrote a few weeks ago that WrestleMania X-Seven was my favorite ’Mania from a personal standpoint in that I was able to stand back and really enjoy the atmosphere surrounding the event. While I may have had too much pressure on me to really take in the atmosphere this time around, I ended up leaving WrestleMania 22 with so many great memories that this year’s experience left X-Seven in the dust.
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/120bret.jpgI loved Bret Hart’s speech at Saturday night’s WWE Hall of Fame event. I was happy that I got to see so many members of the extended Hart family before the event, and I was shocked to see how much Bret’s kids had grown since I had seen them last (probably right around November 1997). I questioned the decision to put people that Bret doesn’t particularly care for front and center, and I wondered at the decision to show so many reaction shots of those people during Bret’s speech. Did the production team not know the hard feelings Bret has toward those people, or were they deliberately using those reaction shots to make for good television? Either way, I think it would have been more appropriate to go to more reaction shots of Bret’s friends during the speech.
It would have been easy for Bret to go negative. He didn’t. Instead, he delivered a speech that was both funny and touching on a night that I believe will give Bret a healing sense of closure to his legendary career.
I must admit that upon hearing of Bret’s induction, I wrote the “Hit Man” a letter, volunteering to induct him. As it turned out, Stone Cold was a better choice, especially because he and Bret had engaged in one of the all-time great ’Mania matches. But it certainly would have been an honor to be up on that stage with Bret.
I was also very happy to see Eddie Guerrero honored. As a lot of you know, I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the way Eddie’s memory was being handled several weeks ago. But I decided to give it some time before I judged the whole thing, and I’m happy to say that I am now much more comfortable with how the whole thing is being handled.
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/120vickie.jpgSo many of my other great memories of the weekend involve the Guerreros. It’s a little-known fact that I am the only active WWE guy around (alright, I understand the word “active” is a little bit of an overstatement) who worked with all three of Eddie’s brothers, Hector, Mando, and Chavo Sr. That match goes back to 1988 at AWA Superclash III, and although the match will not go down in anybody’s book as an all-time classic (although it certainly didn’t stink), I have always gotten along very well with all three brothers. (WATCH (http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/jukebox/2005/april/drm-aprjuke_19_)*)
I spoke to Eddie’s wife Vickie for the first time since his death. I had always thought that Eddie liked me, but it was certainly nice to have Vickie confirm it. It seems that our time together as roommates in Iraq had meant as much to him as it did to me.
Not being a “SmackDown guy” until recently, I only had Melina’s televised performances on which to judge her. Based on those, I wouldn’t have guessed that the girl had a kind bone in her body. But seeing the love and care she gave to Eddie’s children in the hours leading up to ’Mania was truly touching. I’ve got to admit, I used to get a lot of thoughts in my head when I saw Melina, my all-time favorite bad girl on television, but “Wow, one day she’s going to make a great mother!” never really made the list. And, no, this is probably not an appropriate place for a gratuitous Melina photo. Maybe next week. Okay, definitely next week.
Oh yeah, I also had a match at ’Mania. Did it steal the show, as Edge proclaimed the next night on RAW? According to some, it did. Was it the classic ’Mania match that I was shooting for? I don’t know. Ultimately, that’s up to you fans and the passage of time to decide. I do know that it was very good, and, unless everyone who talked to me afterward was trying to protect my feelings, it may have been great. As far as defining WrestleMania “moments” go, I’ve got to believe that the image of Edge and I crashing through the burning table will prove to be an incredible one. (Although I’d really like to do a public service announcement warning kids not to try anything remotely like it at home.)
http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/120fire.jpgI’m always super-critical of my own matches. Come to think of it, I’m always super-critical of Al Snow’s matches, too. So, as good as I thought it was, my initial reaction was: “Man, my underwear is really showing.” And I couldn’t help but notice that I was about 25 pounds too heavy to really look dangerous.
But Edge was tremendous. In my opinion, (although this might not be politically correct), Edge is the best heel in the business. His willingness to go all out in his first match of this type is an indication of his dedication to his craft. And I can only wonder what was going through Lita’s head as she went for her little piggy back ride over the top rope — the most dangerous part of an out-of-control, 700-pound package. She was a vital part of the match. If, indeed, the fans’ opinions and the passage of time deem the match a classic, it will be in no small part because of her.
Yeah, it was a great weekend, and I really want to thank everyone involved for making it so special. I’m not sure what I will write about next week. But please log on in two weeks, when I will do my best to explain the story behind the gratuitous Melina photos in an article I would like to call, “The Story Behind the Gratuitous Melina

I am the ultimate heel. a perverted, weed smokin, vulgar club kid (but more of a metalhead/electro-punk than a raver). I'll wear flannel pajama pants & a band shirt (shirt is off during matchees but on other tiimes) As a gimmick weapon I use a toy light saber. & my finishers are a complete shot (like in SD!vR06) off the top rope & aa Tazzmission-esque choke hold but it looks more intense as if i was torturing them.

When I started to read the bolded above, I instantly thought Trent Acid, and we don't need another one of him, until I read the rest of your description, and damn, that would be fun to watch at an indy venue.

I used to want to be a wrestler (hell, one of the managers here in NYC keeps making a joke of when I'm gonna get into the ring finally, one day I say, one day) and always wanted to have as a "finisher" that I did a 400+ pound Shooting Star Press. Just thinking of a man larger than Vader pulling off a SSP from the top made me smile. Then I realized I'm about as athletic as a corpse.

And Norman Smiley is ****ing awesome live. Never thought I could mark out for the big wiggle, but hell, I did. That AND he teamed with Kamala that evening. I felt like I was 10.

if I HAD to compare my gimmick I think of it more along the lines of a Edge meets Jericho with the look of a Raven meets Jeff Hardy who curses more than New Jack. But really it's me if I had a digi-cam I would show you my look, beecause it is honestly how i dress everyday. And that's why I believe in my character so much because it's abrasive, obnoxious, sarcastic, funny, serious, vulgar, smart, dumb, artistic, logical & most importantly honest. thus instead of being rendered to one liners & the same **** over & over, I evolve. because Mikeimus Prime is all about changing what we think is the normal wrestler. & that goes double for changing what I think is the normal wrestler. As for in ring skills i (just from watching a lot) learned a lot of propor ways to perform moves & Pyschology is the bIGGEST thing I've studied about working a match, So I feeel like I was ment to do this & with trainingI think I can be great. As for the mic- before I dropped out I was in like the top ten best actors at my school which doesn't sound impressive but our school is always in the top 3 schools in the entire state when it comes to our theater program. And (from wrestling) Improvising monolgues is what I am best at.

Norman was such a relief to all the "seriousness" of wrestling. While I mostly watched WWF back then, I did check to see if Norman Smiley was on. If he was, I kept it on WCW just for his match. Then I'd flip over to the WWF when he was done screaming

Basically, it's alleged that he just harassed her; saying stupid stuff, over-the-top ribbing and uncalled for behavior. The severity of what he was supposed to have done depends on what source you get it from. Weber has said that Randy's a jerk and was at least partially repsonsible for her leaving WWE.

Orton has had these kinds of problems before and has a reputation for bring a bit of a hothead and full of himself at times. Another chick who used to work for WWE, Rochelle Loewen (sp?), accused Randy of the same stuff, including putting a load of baby oil and lotion in her training bag.

From WWE.com: Randy Orton responds to being suspended

Prior to SmackDown this past Tuesday, Randy Orton was told that he was being suspended for 60 days due to unprofessional conduct. WWE.com recently caught up with Orton to get his reaction to his suspension. Here is what he had to say:

“WWE has certain standards of conduct they expect out of all the Superstars on both RAW and SmackDown. Unfortunately, I violated those standards and was not representing WWE the way I should have been. Basically, my conduct was unbecoming of a champion, which is what I will be again when I return.”

This is another recent Ultimate Warrior story of a lecture he gave at DePaul University.

Some brief notes on the Warrior Warrior's lecture yesterday at DePaul University about Diversity (100 people, sell out) from Jack Edinger.

Gay and lesbian couples (which he referred to as q***** and refused to change his verbiage during the lecture) have the same disease as pedophile priests in the Catholic Church keep in mind this was at DePaul University…one of the largest catholic universities in America

Israeli's are "sub-human" because they fight with rocks

When asked how he would feel if his daughter grew up to be a homosexual he replied she wont, shes completely feminine in every sense of the word. Keep in mind she's about 5 years old

When a fan complimented him on slamming Andre the Giant warrior responded "go masturbate at home"

Jack asked how he can go to colleges and promote intelligent debate on issues how could he defend throwing the podium at his speech at Uconn, and he responded "what are you talking to me?" and the stooge DePaul conservative said "he didnt throw a podium...next question"

Anytime a hard question was asked he would reply "your question doesn't make any sense"

Reports indicate that Steve Austin was a bit upset at the 2006 Hall of Fame ceremony when Hulk Hogan made the choice to push a possible match between the two before his induction of Mean Gene Okerlund. Austin felt that was not the time or the place to push a big money match as he felt the night belonged to the inductees.

Austin's line about finding a can of "whoop ass" with Hulk Hogan's name on it was not scripted and no one knew Austin was going to say it. The old saying of whoever has the mic last no doubt came into play with this situation as Austin informed people after the show that he planned on saying a few more one-liners at Hogan, but held back when he knew he had the crowd on his side.

Neither Hogan nor Austin had any sort of interaction at the Hall of Fame. Austin has stated on more than one occasion to friends that if it didn't happen this year, it wouldn't happen at all. Austin has made it clear that he has zero intentions of ever wrestling Hulk Hogan.

Previously, Austin was offered a huge seven figure payoff to wrestle Hogan at Wrestlemania, but turned it down. Hogan had reportedly already agreed to the offer and that it was up to Austin to make it happen. Based on what is known, Austin is at peace with never wrestling again and has stated that if he ever comes back for one last match, it would never be against Hulk Hogan as he doesn't want to share a payday with him and get involved in the politics. So if we are to ever see Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin in a WWE ring, it will be up to Austin and if that is the case, many feel it isn't highly likely to happen.

The PWTorch Newsletter is reporting that Randy Orton's suspension is due to his behavior backstage at WrestleMania 22.

The issue with Orton seems to be mostly due to his attitude about how he is a main eventer and feeling that he does not have to follow the same rules as everyone else, as opposed to doing something to someone else or his health. The word going around right now is that Orton feels he is above the rules, and has had several issues in the past backstage, mainly with female co-workers and the way he talks to them.

Randy Orton is one of the least liked people backstage, and has the most heat of anyone right now. The Undertaker is said to despise Randy Orton, and it's not just an issue with "serious people" not liking his attitude, as people who love to party like Ric Flair and Kurt Angle do not like him either.

This suspension is likely to be very good for locker room morale, and it doesn't look like anyone will be missing him backstage.

Woah even Flair doesn't like him:eek:

I was shocked with the Flair thing too. But, I guess this shouldn't come as a surprise as wrestlers are pretty tight knit group so when someone comes along and pisses on that a lot of guys would get pretty mad at it. Just wonder where that leaves Orton when he comes back (And his suspension starts after I go to SD:up:) does it leave him in the ME or will he start a little lower than that and work his way up. But now I understand why Taker went over in his and Orton's fued.

Woah even Flair doesn't like him:eek:Wow. Heh, SD had a press conference before No Way Out, Orton seemed to be joking and facetious with his questions to whole time, pretty laid back. So when Kurt Angle got to talking about how challenging it would be to beat somone as "dominant" as the Undertaker, Orton quipped in "I beat him twice.", to which Angle repiled (irately) "Yes, but you needed help. And you still need help, you need emotional and mental help."

At the time, I thought it was part of the growing feud, but now I guess it was something else.

Randy Orton's suspension is a minimum 60 days - it's actually an indefinite suspension, and the incident is so bad that it's not a lock he'll be brought back.

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Randy Orton has been fined by WWE multiple times for using the "C-word" to insult women behind the scenes in WWE, however has not taken it seriously. His attitude towards WWE's rules and punishment is said to be what got him suspended this time.

"He's lucky he didn't get fired. He has a lot of growing up to do. It was just stupid - disrespectful to the boys and the company." Says one WWE source about his latest incident. "Undertaker despises him, and Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and even Triple H have grown tired of his act. They only tolerate him."

Orton's disrespectful treatment of women is said to be what has turned most people backstage against him. As previously reported, he is the most disliked person in the locker room right now.

Addendum

I gave 2 examples.

Giant Gonzales did when he entered the WWF. He then left after getting beat at Wrestlemania and then Summerslam and was then enshrined in Wrestlecrap for having the ugliest body suit.

A few years later, Glen Jacobs becomes Kane after people forgot about Isaac Yankem DDS, and Fake Diesel. His initial push was one of the best done. The Big Red Machine was unstoppable. Taker dealt with him and Kane then becomes an overnight champ during Austin's era, becomes less machine and more man, and then has the Katie Vick storyline.

This guy Dalip, who reminds me of Giant Silva from the Oddities, will probably have a similar thing happen. He'll own Taker initially, then Taker beats him in another PPV, and then Dalip becomes yet another midcarder.

Unless, this is Taker's last go-round and he retires. But then, some have been saying that about Taker for the past 5 years.

Damn, even I forgot about Mankind and I got his books right next to my computer. :(

Singh is huge. I saw the pictures earlier, but seeing him next to Taker like that...damn. Where the hell does he shop for clothes?

Outside of the obligatory "manhandling" reference, what ticked me off what how they brought this guy in with the no-sell. Taker popped him twice and nothing. Then Giant boy breaks out with a chop ala King Haku/Meng and down goes UT to get thoroughly destroyed. I guess that 5 mintues that Taker spent tossing Sweaty Beard (what a horrible promo, by the way) around was enough to sap all his power.

Give the guy the advantage on Taker to build him up , but at least try to keep it in context. We all know Taker's going to pound this guy eventually. Presenting him as this indomitable force is just silly...unless he does actually kill UT :(

Ahh, the Kaientai shirts. Damn, I really miss those. I regret never buying one myself. I compensate by drawing them on occassion on a character or two.

And damn you J for beating me to that responce.
