Pretty good promo between the three again. All three were entertaining in their own little ways and it helped set up tonight's main event which I bet will result in Cena FUing Trips
hahahah....I just totally guessed that :o
All in all though, it was a pretty enjoyable Raw. Even the stuff with Vince was pretty damn funny this week, but only because he's acting like a total ****ing nutcase at the moment

The number of hilarious moments in that segment were too funny to count:
1. Vince taking out the credit card

3. Vince's "ten commandments"
4. Shane's reaction to that bible reading
5. Shane slowly stepping away from Vince
Seriously, this was probably one of the funniest segments since Booker T got beat up by STone Cold in that supermarket.

The spirit of the ''Attitude'' era is returning.
Now now...let's not get crazy. I don't know how many times I've heard that over the years followed by much *****ing and complaining.
I noticed not much, if anything, was said about RVD's and Benjamin's challenge to one another for Backlash (even though we know the outcome to this). Although I felt Benjamin faltered a bit while on the mic, he came off well. But RVD really surprised me with his interview. It really sounded prefect for his character and just flowed right, for RVD. The best interview I've seen from in since early ECW.
Mister J
04-11-2006, 02:20 AM
Damn, I actually enjoyed this tonight.
I'm liking the trio promo deal and I was surprised that I liked what Cena had to say (though I don't know why). However, if it's Cena/Edge against Triple H next week, I will curse uncontrollably.
The ending was a bit predictable, but that's par for the course.
Masters/Carlito is more entertaining than I thought.
Kane/Show wore on me a bit. The stuff with Kane hearing voices in the back after the promo was a bit much. Although, I've been waiting for them to use Kane in any meaningful way. Give me the Monster!
Vince is a fool (that's a compliment). The church scene was pretty funny. Vince's commandment schpeel and the water trick got big laughs from me, as well as Shane's reactions. Unfortunately, I feel this will be well received backstage and leading to more inane Vince/Shane skits that they will inevitably make unwatchable. Please prove me wrong.
I love G-strings and thongs. Trish was pretty hot as a brunette and she kept flashing her ass.
Seeing Trish and Mickie balanced out Umaga (sp?) ramming his ass into some jobber's head. Nobody wants that.

Just got back from Raw.
Awesome, still put on the best shows.
Opening was awesome. Mickie/Trish= Hot.
Vinny Mac's segment was getting laughs from the entire crowd.
Umaga match against Colt was, well if you couldn't see it on the tele, half the crowd left the arena for five minutes and came back.
Kane/Big show was good match, Spirit Squad are awesome in person. Great to see Kane turn heel, looked good from where I was, but I have yet to watch my tape of Raw from tonight.
End match was good. Predicatable ending. Dark match afterwards was great, HHH and Cena put on a great match with Edge interfering at the end.
Biggest Pops:
RVD's was huge
Flair ( He wasn't even there but whenever his picture was on the screen he got huge pops. During commercials the whole crowd was "woooing"
Kane and Big Show
Mickie with her first entrance.
Lilian Garcia (no S**T)
Most heat
Cena
Edge
Mickie with her second entrance
In Between
HHH
Spirit Squad
Shelton
No reaction:
Conway
Umaga
Crowd was 50/50 with Cena. Not kidding half the crowd at the Bradley Center was under the age of 10. I was shocked.
Cena was getting good pops from the kids at the end match because I think most of the older crowdjust stopped caring. Then the dark match about half the crowd left because it took a while for it to start and then I would say at least two-thirds of the crowd was kids.
HHH got a huge pop for his "Game" entrance and the Pedigree on Edge.
Overall a good show. Pissed that HBK and Flair weren't there, but whatever. Just makes me look forward to going to Smackdown more tonight.
Mister J
04-11-2006, 05:14 AM
Good stuff, p-max. It seemed the crowd was spilt for Cena.
It's been awhile since I went to a live show, but they were always more fun than watching on TV.

The opening of RAW was excellent again with all 3 doing great promo work:up:
This whole God angle is clearly Vince finally putting his character over the edge and will be used to take him out the show when Shane has him commited
I admit his character has gotten a bit worse after he lost the mask, but that's WWE's fault not his. And Batista? The crowd may love him but I don't see how he's supposed to be a horror movie animal when he does promos about hugging and acts like the Rock (and quite horribly at that) Cena? He may sound cool now but by the time he turns heel again people will cheer him, then what are they gonna do?
Batista is the smooth champ who is an animal in the ring the way i see it and as for Cena im not sure what will happen with him when the full heel turn comes but he is a star
Anyway nevermind i was just being a grumpy bastard cos i don't like Kane and you can get your own back cos i like UMANGA!!!http://www.superherohype.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://www.superherohype.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif

Terry Taylor recently underwent neck fusion surgery and officially retired from in ring appearances. Taylor had been working the Independent scene in recent years when not working in administrative duties for WWF, WCW, and TNA.
Tickets for the ECW One Night Stand 2 on June 11th go on sale this Saturday. Tickets are priced at $250 and $100. The show is set to be built around Rob Van Dam and Terry Funk.
A lot of talk about Rob Van Dam using his "Money In The Bank" contract to get a championship match at the pay per view. It has been rumored for a while now that that he would be using the shot against Triple H, as H was originally slotted to win the WWE Title at WrestleMania. However after a lot of thinking by Vince McMahon, he decided to make John Cena retain the championship. However with the Triple Threat Match now scheduled for WWE Backlash later this month involving Triple H, Edge and the champ John Cena for the WWE Championship, everything could change.
Speaking of the ECW One Night Stand 2, the poster which was reported by me last night is actually not the official ECW One Night Stand 2 poster. It was actually made by a fan for a graphics competition. (Damn, that was a really good ****ing poster, too).

Triple H or Edge should go into ONS as the WWE champion. If Cena goes into ECW's ONS as the champion against RVD, he's going to get lynched for sure.
Not that I want that to happen. He's just going to really get it and the reactions he's been receiving so far, will be that of a church choir compared to the ECW crowd.

Just got back from Smackdown....great show.....as good as Raw if not better.
The crowd was hot the entire night. Even went as fr as chanting Na-na-na-na Na-na-na-na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye, when Orton left the ring.
Biggest Pops:
Mr. Kennedy
Benoit
Pirate Paul
Rey
Angle
Melina's Entrance
Most Heat:
Orton
Henry
JBL
In Between:
Booker T
Great Show, the dark match was Angle, Rey and Henry in a cage for the title. It was short but good. Same with the Orton/Angle KotR match.
Best match:
Benoit/JBL in a cage for the U.S. title. Watch for a German Suplex off the top rope.

2.) Paul Burchill over some big black guy that I did not know . William Regal was at ringside dressed as a buxom wench.
3.) Matt Hardy over Road Warrior Animal in a very quick and boring match. I think this was a King of the Ring match.
4.) JBL over Chris Benoit in a steel cage match. It was pretty decent nothing really special. I missed the finish because I was going to the bathroom. When I got back JBL was out of the cage and had won.
Dalip Singh has been renamed The Great Khali. He and Daivari cut a promo in the ring.
5.) Gymini (w/Simon Dean) over the Mexicools.
6.) Kurt Angle over Randy Orton. He made Orton tap out to the ankle lock. After the match, he held onto the anklelock for approximately forever, and broke Orton's ankle.

Reports indicate that WWE's SmackDown! brand wrestler, Chris Benoit has recently signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. Over the past several months there has been speculation as to if Benoit would continue his career with the WWE, TNA or outside of the industry entirely.
It is expected that Benoit will continue to wrestle for several more years. When his in-ring days are over, a job as a road agent or talent trainer awaits him. The general feeling backstage is that the company sees Benoit as a "lifer".

someone said something about Orton being suspended... when/why did this happen?
Mister J
04-12-2006, 09:34 AM
It was announced shortly after WM. Basically, he's been suspended for at least 60 days for unprofessional behavior. It's not known exactly what he did that got him the suspension. It seems to be more of a collection of things. Orton has a reputation backstage for being a prick with a huge ego. Several people are sick of it and apparently, WWE decided to send a message.
Last I heard, it wasn't a given he'd be back in at all. Although, I'd regard that as an extreme case and fairly unlikely (that he never returns).

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Randy Orton's 60 day suspension, is actually an indefinite suspension. There are reports that he simply may not be brought back.
To keep him away from TNA, they may keep him under contract until his deal is over, while paying him the smallest amount of money possible. Orton would just have to stay at home collecting checks as he wouldn't be able to work anywhere else.
There are some in the company who believe that he would benefit from counseling
The PWTorch Newsletter is reporting that John Cena is not bothered at all by the poor crowd reactions he has been getting lately. It's said that he is willing to go with the flow and continue with WWE's plans. One source says that WWE's plans do include him turning heel sometime in the very near future. A lot of people were surprised that the heel turn didn't happen at WrestleMania.
With Triple H now more open to working as a face than ever, don't be surprised if you see Cena hinting at a heel turn in the coming weeks on RAW. Triple H appears to be very comfortable with the idea of working as a face for the rest of his career, despite ruling it out in the past.

Mr. Socko,
The only thing you missed was another good confrontation between Edge, Triple, and John Cena.
You also missed some funny Kane stuff and Kenny from Spirit Squad screaming his head off.

Christ. Enough of this Diva search bull****. We need women wrestlers, not lingerie models... okay, we need both, but we need more of the former at the moment, dammit!

Due to an ongoing legal battle with Jim Crockett, WWE may have to refer to Ric Flair as "Rick Flair." WWE have trademarked the term "Rick Flair" until the problems are settled. It wasn't a typo a few weeks ago on Raw during a video package when the screen read, "Rick Flair."
- The death of promoter Victor Quinones, 46, on 4/2 has cast doubt about the future of the IWA Puerto Rico promotion. The IWA has been running in the red for some time, but kept afloat by Quinones' other business interests. Savio Vega and Miguel Perez also own a portion of the company, but neither have deep pockets. The majority interest in the IWA will likely be transferred to Quinones' brother who has no wrestling knowledge, and would rather be bought out. Dave Meltzer reports that there is also talk of seeking outside financial backing to keep the company alive.
Also, just want to say that Steve Corino has confirmed that he is NOT on ECW ONS and it doesn't look like he will be according to his Live Journal, here: http://corino.livejournal.com/

I think he's eager to be a face because he will be having a kid growing up backstage and watching his father. HHH doesn't want to be put in a neagative light to his kid. Same with HBK he doesn't want to work heel because of his son. (and his beliefs of course)

I can't stand this fat simoan and his awful manager, the spirit squad is killing me, and everyone seemed a little off their respective game. ....It feels like a litteral Wrestlemania Backlash here!

- The current estimate for the No Way Out PPV is about 180,000 buys, which would be down from last year's No Way Out PPV which drew 238,000 buys.
- Tommy Dreamer has contacted Axl Rotten about working the One Night Stand II PPV.
- A correction. The source that informed us that Steve Corino was confirmed for One Night Stand has corrected the post, noting its Danny Doring who has been confirmed for the 6/11 PPV.
- Detroit based rapper Eminem was at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.
