Don't fool yourself. If Stephanie got so pissed that Christy Hemme was supposedly "hitting" on Hunter, and that pretty much was the reason she got released, what makes you think they wouldn't let go of Orton?

Christy was actually improving and Stephanie got jealous of her over Hunter. So don't be surprised if Orton is actually let go.

Eric Draven
04-13-2006, 06:49 PM
It sounds like he needs a lot of help.

It has a lot to do with the way he was pushed as well, I think. He got pushed to the main event waaaay too quickly for his own good. Helped to inflate his ego even more.

Kinda odd that both Lesner and Orton are the two youngest WWE champions....:o

The FallenAngel
04-13-2006, 06:50 PM
Both just seem to have some mental issues that need taking care of. Lesnar seems to have grown up since.

Eric Draven
04-13-2006, 06:52 PM
I think it has a lot to do with getting way too much at such a young age without really "paying any dues". I mean Lesner was ****ing given the moon the minute he debuted. Orton was WWE champion at age 23. That's way too soon to just make them the stars of the company.

I mean if anybody out there was being given almost free reign in a large multinational company at such a young age, of course they'll develop serious ego issues.

Sabretooth
04-13-2006, 06:57 PM
Orton and Lesnar shouldn't have been in the main event for a good 5-10 years. They deserved nothing. They're good wrestlers, yeah, but they shouldn't be getting the title before RVD or Edge.

Eric Draven
04-13-2006, 07:00 PM
And not only did Lesner win the title quickly, he went over a lot of established superstars in short order as well - The Rock, Undertaker, I think he even demolished Hulk Hogan in one match. Hulk Hogan!

John Cena is in basically the same situation...although he hasn't exhibited the traits that Orton and Lesnar have yet.

Eric Draven
04-13-2006, 07:06 PM
Yeah, I see Cena being in a similar situation with Orton. Not necessarily Lesner though, he's almost in a different world of his own.

I guess it has a lot to do with the person's mindset as well

Sarge 2.0
04-13-2006, 07:09 PM
It also has alot to do with being concious of your talent. Lesnar and Orton are both excellent wrestlers, and firmly believed that they could be handed things on a silver platter with complete justification. Cena has been taking so much crap for his in ring abilities and reign length as it pertains to said abilities (or lack thereof) that his ego may be a bit more grounded.

One of the reasons that some guys had to wait years for their first title was because they were in an era where guys whose last names ended in Hogan, Flair, Anderson or Savage got the title shots. Everyone else got peanuts. If you complained, you looked for another job.

Getting the title a year after you enter is ****ing stupid. With Cena, I would have waited another year or so before giving him a title, like 7 years after he entered the WWE. That way, if the wrestler gets there he's earned it. It wouldn't give the appearance of it being handed to him.

learn grammer. that IS a comparison. you're comparing Christy's value to the company vs. Orton's value to the company, and there's no comparison there.

I did learn grammar. You made it as if I was actually comparing their value, when I wasn't at all. What I mentioned was how Christy was released for a less severe act than what Orton COULD be released for.

Seriously, are you sure you went to school? I know Christy wasn't and is nowhere near the level that Orton is, and never will be, but don't be surprised if Orton is released for his latest screw-up.

According to the WWE, Christy Hemme was released due to budget cuts. Some people think it was Steph being jealous of her, in regard to Triple H.

Orton's release may have been because of a sexual assault.

A chick being jealous vs. A sexual assault.

Guess which one is taken seriously by the police, everywhere in the damn world. If you say "The police take a chick being jealous more seriously than a sexual assault", then you are a dumb****

Its not that he'll get fired, but he'll remain under contract, until it runs out, to keep him away from TNA. So its like the Time Warner deal in WCW, he'll get paid for sitting at home for nothing. The exception being WWE doesn't have garaunteed contracts.

There it is, my shortest and shallowest entry. It was either this, or respond to Triple H’s recent comments about me on RAW. And praising Vince sure seems a safer career choice than criticizing Triple H. I will, however, go on the record as saying that I wasn’t so crazy about the “King of Kings” more or less calling me a piece of crap on national television — especially since the piece of crap in question is the same guy who put him on the map as a main-event performer.

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Rob Van Dam vs. John Cena is now very likely to take place at this year's ECW PPV. WWE may use this to help turn Cena heel, as he is likely to get booed out of the building if he shows up, let alone wrestles a match against RVD.

The feeling for a while was that Triple H vs. RVD at the show was basically a given, however with Triple H now being more open than ever to turning face, that may not be the case.

Appears Cena will be retaining at Backlash.

It's the same words and basic beat, it's just a little harder edge to it. Not drastic, but certainly noticeable. :down

IMO, when a big guy fueds with taker, its a test. For example, Kane passed the test with Taker. He had potential. Guys like Giant Singh, we'll just have to wait and see, but hes coming off like the second coming of gonzales

Booker laying with his legs in the air after that spear was funny as hell.
Yep.

I don't know which of my dislikes is more intense; the way Kendrick and London come to the ring or the way Melina incessantly screams during the match.

There should be a stipulation for the inevitable title match that makes the loser drop that gimmick.

Meh, I like the gimmick Spanky and London have at the moment. Although Melina really should stop screaming.

The screaming is far more annoying. Spanky/London's entrance is like a cross between Edge and Warrior.

Christ. Animal changed his name to Road Warrior and looks straight outta Thunderdome. I'm calling Mel Gibson. This crap has to end.

Seriously, why is Animal on TV? Nepotism aside, does he need money or something? If he'd cut back on the beer, he'd have more disposable income. Maybe he should read JBL's book.

Mister J's closing thoughts on Smackdown! (i.e., smart ass remarks I didn't make already)

* Funny stuff with Regal trying to adjust his "boobs".

* The Benoit/JBL match was good, but ultimately predictable. Having Jillian slam him with the cage was cool (as was the view we got when she hopped on the cage :o). However, why bother to have two referees if they're just going to be as incompetent as one? It's bad enough that the refs are used as a crutch as much as they are, but this just escalates it.

* Keep Singh away from the microphone. Seriously, what the hell was that? Don't give a guy promo time unless his remarks are intelligible. It's not even an accent that's the problem. It seems as if he got hungry backstage and ate part of his tongue.

* Great. So now 'Taker is supposed to be some sissy with a broken spirit sitting at home. I'm all for building Singh up and I expected Taker to not show tonight. However, that was just nonsense they were passing when Singh was coming to the ring. The "broken spirit" and "intimidation" crap annoyed me more than the "The Undertaker has never been manhandled like this before" garbage. :down

* Simon Dean stole Bill Alfonso's whistle.

* I really hope Orton can get his act together. That guy is such a killer heel. He plays that smug, arrogant gimmick to perfection. Of course, it's probably not too much of a stretch for him. It's a damn shame he can't get over himself enough to cash in all that talent.

I wish the WWE didn't screw up with Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan would have been a future Wrestlemania main eventer (as predicted by Jim Cornette) if it hadn't been for the damn stuttering gimmick

Jim Cornette also highly liked Rico over Brock Lesner, Charlie Haas, and Shelton Benjamin....:o

I agree. I think Booker T & Sharmell are funny as hell. I don't think he gets the push he deserves. He has the skills, the charisma, and with Orton gone, and JBL and Mark Henry seeming to fade, Booker T is the best heel Smackdown has. He shouldn't be losing to the Boogeyman or Gunner Scott.

Hopefully he'll get a shot at the World Championship again soon. I think a series of Booker/Rey Mysterio matches would be cool. And it would also be nice for Booker to hold that belt for the sixth time.

There is no singular, standout reason as to why Randy Orton was suspended. In the past few years, he had been fined often, usually for $5,000 per offense. Despite the fines, he'd often joke about them. The fines have largely been a result of his treatment of women, both in and out of the company. Also, he's used rude, abrasive language to people who didn't deserve it, not to mention that he's displayed antisocial behavior. WWE may want Orton to undergo counseling, to get to the root of his social issues. He may even have to get medical help, if it is necessary.

Johnny Ace was said to be fed up with Orton's rude behavior, as it was said to be getting out of hand. Orton's always displayed erratic behavior, however, it started to really get out of control at the start of the year. Also, the fines weren't sending a message to him. The decision to suspend him was based on an incident that took place at the 3/28 Smackdown tapings in Kansas City, at the Kemper Arena. Orton flagrantly violated a very public company policy. It was a lot more serious than your typical dress code issue, and it had nothing to do with either creative or economic issues. Apparently, whatever he did, was the final straw. Whatever he did, has been done before in the past as a form of protest, however, nobody was so brazen to do it inside of a building with plenty of people potentially witnessing it, including people not employed by the company who happened to be in the building at the time. Orton was informed of the WWE's decision to suspend him after Wrestlemania.

Nobody was defending Johnny Ace's decision to suspend him, including friends of Orton, who would normally not side with Johnny Ace. Although, these same people were surprised that WWE made the news of his suspension so public.

Orton's future in World Wrestling Entertainment will be decided upon in the next few weeks. It is likely that Johnny Ace and Vince McMahon will be discussing Orton's future in the WWE this week, and they may make some sort of decision. It should be noted that the day after Orton was informed of the WWE's decision to suspend him (the 4/4 Smackdown tapings), he seemed very interested in keeping his job.
