It's wrestlecrap for 2006
Kane is wrestlcrap incarnate though and would you have preferred if he had came in with a baggy hockey jersey and played samoan public enemy ?

I can't inderstand the support for a baldy choad who can't work and hears voices and yet hate for a badass samoan who looks like he can genuinely kill you:confused:
Kane is a very talented and has put on good matches with Austin, Jericho, Benoit, Undertaker, Angle, and moves very good for a man his size. I've always liked him and appreciated his presence in the ring.

Ok then. Perhaps the WWF should have a tag team called "The Cottonpickers", that originate from the Deep South, who are trying to make a name for themselves after running away from "The Man".
Or how about a tag team called "The Beaners" that just made a run from the border? Or what about "The Brainiacs", a tag team from Japan? Or better yet "Two Honkies and a Trailer Park Slut?" Wait...they did that with Jaime Noble and Nidia already. So scratch that one.
That's essentially what having a guy prance around as a "wild Samoan" is equal to.

Carlito's new theme music will actually be done by a musician by the name of Kaballon, not Tego Calderón (no relation to former MLB player Ivan Calderón) like it was originally reported. Don't forget, the nWo were made to look like huge chumps as soon as they debuted. Hogan left the group very soon and Hall lost to Austin, making the total victories the group had from their return to WM18 zero. The group lost their credibility very, very quickly.

(a bit of an update) As noted on TNAWrestlingNews.com earlier today, TNA will make its debt in the Northeast on June 9th or 10th in the former ECW arena. Hermie Sadler's UWF promotion will be promoting the show, which will have all of the top TNA stars as well as the six-sided ring. Sadler is trying to take advantage of the weekend, as it is the same weekend of the ECW PPV.
TNAWrestlingNews.com is also stating that the weekend will be a doubleshoot with them also running Atlantic City, NJ. There are conflicting reports on the dates of the two shows but nonetheless, they will take place the weekend of June 9th and 10th with one being at the ECW arena and the other being in Atlantic City, NJ.
TNA will have their top names at both shows.
An official announcement from the company is expected this week.

Smackdown Spoilers:
Credit: RingSideMayhem.com
Hey guys just got back from the Savvis Center here in St. Louis and wanted to pass on the results of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Booker T defeated Matt Hardy (Lots of Hardy chants) when Sharmell interfered and Booker low-blowed Hardy then hit the Axe kick.
There were allot of Pirate Birchill and Regal segemnts through SmackDown until their match, and Regal was forced to try on different costumes.
Paul London defeated Joey Mercury via pin fall by a surprise roll up.
The Great Khali beat Funaki.
Beniot and Lashley defeated Orlando Jordan and Finley when (something happened but I didn't get to watch the whole match I was trying to get food but when I came back Beniot and Finley were gone) Lashley hit the Dominator on OJ for the pin fall.
Gemini defeated Birchill and Regal when Birchill refused to let Regal tag him in, then walked away from the ring. Genini hit their finisher for the pin fall.
Jillian hall then set up a Great American Celebration for JBL to honor him being champ. Well the champ came out to balloons falling all around to the beat of some really famous high school band. He then fired Jillian and kicked the band to the back. Then said he would challenge for the World Title, then Angle came out and defended Rey then said he would defeat Rey next week in a rematch for the world title. Then Rey came out and they all eventually brawled with Angle and Rey teaming up on JBL.
Also on a side note, the dark match for RAW was Undertaker vs. John Cena and Undertaker was beating Cena then The Great Khali came in and totally destroyed Taker.
Meh.
Poor, poor, little Funaki.

I wonder how long it will before the great Khali is gone from the WWE.
How long did Heidenreich last? About a year?
nite-owl
04-18-2006, 03:41 AM
About two I think.
I think Heidenreich was with WWE between 2 and 3, maybe even 4 years if you count his first stint with OVW before being released due to a series of 4 shoulder surgeries.

I don't know if this has been reported here yet BUT great news, everyone!
-The Boogeyman had surgery to repair his torn biceps on Tuesday, April 4th. The Boogeyman torn his biceps during a house show match with Booker T the week before Wrestlemania. The Boogeyman will be out of action until at least September or October. The Boogeyman's injury is the reason for the restraining order angle on Smackdown. The Boogeyman will turn 42 years old on Halloween, which happens to be the same day as his birthday.
anybody else find the way this was said funny??

Actually all Japanese wrestlers are usually given either sly devious gimmicks(inscrutible) or ones that involve dressing like they are from the 1600's
you missed that every gay character is always a chicken**** heel and Shelton's stereotypical "ma po' boy,i'll make him some corn bread and chicken" Mamma
The fact is that wild Samoans exist and are just as valid a character as a pseudo shootfighter Samoan
Let me ask you,if he was an islander but not a savage would that be fine with you ?

-I had this sick feeling in my stomach that He Who is called I Am would "show up" to "help" HBK at some point. They better cover up next week and have the pyrotechnics guy say something like "Haha, yeah it was me." :o
-As much as Umaga sucks, Arrrmando Alejandrro Estrrrrrrada haha is awesome.
-Kane touched the heiny.
-Brunette Trish=awesome. Psycho Mickie kicking random guys in the head=even more awesome.
-Maria bounced alot, and I really liked it.
-Edge is great, but y'know what's better? The impending D-X reunion.
Also, I didn't think it would be a supershow. I wonder why Taker had to face John Cena, and not someone a little more conventional like Kane.

The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Jim Ross worked very closely with Joey Styles while they were at WrestleMania 22. J.R. spent a large amount of time working with Styles backstage, and was noticed by several others as being the closest that J.R. has ever worked with anyone.
Apparently Joey got some heat on him from Mick Foley when he missed the low blow that Lita gave Foley and called it wrong, because he was looking down at his notes for the match. This was one of the things that J.R. worked with Style on, trying to get him to shorten his notes for going on the air. Mike Tenay is also known for having lots of notes.
Joey also got some heat on him from management, when he was overheard saying that he wanted to call the hardcore match at WrestleMania 22 by himself, since that's the way he did it in ECW. Somebody heard this and ran back to upper management to tell them about it, however nothing really became of it.
Vince is said to be more confident in Styles' abilities now, than he was when he first joined the company.

With the "gay wrestlers" - I never watched a match of "Too Much" or "Billy and Chuck". No matter how insane a push they were getting, those matches were the perfect time to hit the can. So I'm not familiar with any of their stuff.
I covered a black stereotype already. I didn't want to go double, but yes. Shelton's Mama was nothing but lazy writing.
I'd rather see Fatu doing something else instead of playing a role similar to so many others (The Headshrinkers; the aforementioned Kamala, despite him not being from the islands; Papa Shango, though that character was from the Caribbean Islands; Meng, when he stopped being a bodyguard and became "the wild man in the Dungeon of Doom"; and don't forget the Barbarian. Nothing says "fear me" than wearing antlers. oooooooooh scary )

Orton was fined as much as 5 grand prior to his suspension for abusive language to "undeserving people", tormenting Divas and anti social behavior
The 3/28 SD! Tapings had a incident that was the last straw and no one , his friends or Johnny Ace’s detractors were siding with Orton. The policy he broke didn’t involve dress code, and had no creative or economic issues involved
The WWE may have him seek help for his social issues
Rey needs knee surgery but is putting it off due to SD!’s depth issues
Beniot will face Malenko at ECW : ONS in a Eddy tribute match
Austin is still refusing to fight Hogan, the match is a way long shot at this point. The reason Austin said anything about Hogan at the HOF was so it wouldn’t appear he got punked out by Hogan
Bret Hart thought Hogan was a good guy who really wasn’t messing with his career in WWF in 93 and WCW 98 and on, until he was at WWE’s home office and saw Hogan’s already taped comments for the SCREWED Bret Hart DVD, which were anti Hart
Early WMania buyrate numbers are "disappointing"
The SD! 3 way was to go 20 mins but the show was running long by that point so it was cut in half

Harry Smith is supposed to debut on RAW on June 5th

On his MSNBC show Countdown last night, Keith Olbermann ripped Vince McMahon for the storyline with God in his "Worst Person in the World" segment. It should be noted that MSNBC is part of the conglomerate that also owns USA, the home of Raw. About Vince Olbermann said, "Vince McMahon of World Wrestling Entertainment, the man who actually somehow worsened the reputation of pro-wrestling, has done it again, claiming that a week from Sunday his organization will televise a tag-team match featuring McMahon and his son Shane versus wrestler Shawn Michaels and God. Yes, all-mighty." Vince took third place in the battle of rotten people.
Charlie Haas made his long-awaited return to World Wrestling Entertainment last night on Raw with a win over his former partner in crime, Shelton Benjamin. Haas signed a WWE contract in late December 2005, however, it took him nearly four months to finally appear in a WWE ring. He had several indy bookings in which he vowed to commit to, which is why it took quite a while for him to finally return to WWE. He was released on July 6, 2005, along with his wife, Jackie Gayda. In interviews after his release, he often had harsh words for the WWE creative team. Also, he said that wouldn't return to WWE unless it was on his own terms.
Harley Race brought his wrestling trainees Ty Dalton, Deno Blade and Angelo Impell to last night's Supershow tapings. They had preshow tryouts.
The following is from WWE.com:
New McMahon DVD scheduled for August release
Just who is Vincent Kennedy McMahon? To some he is the sports-entertainment innovator and visionary corporate leader of a multimillion dollar company. To others he is evil personified - the manipulative sadistic boss of a corral of WWE Superstars who takes great personal pleasure in making others suffer. Mr. McMahon has achieved stunning successes and experienced humiliating defeats and yet keeps coming back for more. What other boss requires his employees to literally kiss his bare ass on national television? This 2 disc production takes a look back at what caused Vince McMahon to come out of the announcer booth and right into some of the most controversial moments ever seen on television. For the first time ever the onscreen and off-screen intrigues of the world’s most notorious boss are broken down by the people who know the man best. Exclusive interviews with Shane, Stephanie and Linda McMahon, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman and more. Mr. McMahon himself reveals when the seed was planted to screw Bret Hart in Montreal, what it was like to win the WWE Championship, the true story behind the battle against WCW, the XFL, his daughter Stephanie marrying and more. Plus you’ll see the Austin/McMahon rivalry, the infamous Kiss My Ass Club, and his classic matches versus Stone Cold, Shane McMahon, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Who is the real Vince McMahon? You decide!
Be sure to pick up your copy of "McMahon" everywhere on Aug. 22, 2006.

Mine's ****ed up. I have a "Disc:2" but it's another copy of Hardcore Homecoming.
Speaking of that, anyone ever get that Forever Hardcore dvd? I'm wondering if it's worth getting....
It's somewhere between ****ing awesome & kicks an old lady in the throat
I almost picked up Hardcore Forever while there, but I finally saw a Sonata Arctica cd, and priorities first.
I have no idea why TNA wrestlers won't be on the dvd, which I think will completely destroy the dvd. You don't see TNA doing the same to ROH. New information on this will hopefully be released soon.
Ghoul, do what I'd do, buy a new one, return the old one in it's place, tell them you don't want a replacement but rather credit and then pick up something else. It's a method that works well.

unfortunately the law states that after opening a cd/dvd you can ONLY exchange it for another copy

Some stores tend to not follow that strictly. I've been able to get store credit, at least, when I told them I don't want an exchange. I know it's not supposed to be done, but a lot of stores have done it.
Only once did I ever get my cash back, which surprised the hell out of me.

Good. It's a stupid, dumb and idiotic angle/storyline to prolong the McMahon-HBK fued. It should've ended at Wrestlemania.

Vince is definitely losing it. I don't think he cares anymore and wants to continue putting out crap product.
The whole career suicide explains why Shawn is going along with this, which is quite unfortunate really, it's a shame no one can voice their disgust. So we were right, Vince only wants people to agree with him 24/7.
More than one person needs to speak up against Vince. I bet if the whole locker room stood up and voiced their displeasure, he'd more or less stop this direction, since he can't fire everyone in the backstage area. Although knowing his state of mind these days with crap booking, crap ideas, and overall crappy product, I wouldn't put it by him to fire the whole locker room for disagreeing with him.
- As noted, The Boogeyman had surgery to repair his torn biceps on Tuesday, April 4th. The Boogeyman torn his biceps during a house show match with Booker T the week before Wrestlemania. He'll will be out of action at least 4 months but it could end up being longer.
Well, this is actually a good thing. WWE can now focus on actual in ring performers on Smackdown! instead of pushing Boogeyman. Too bad WWE can't go back to before his in ring debut when he was just a nut with a clock instead of a supernatural smoke spewing worm eater. Those were entertaining segments.

How did the Boogeyman injure himself in the ring? He doesn't do jack **** in it. A restraining order is a bad explanation as well.
I'd be happy to hear if its true that people actually think this Vince McMahon crap is disgusting.
I would like to know how Ted DiBiase feels about this storyline as well.
So, I guess no luck on that Yamada v. Owen Hart match, huh?

Since Ted works for the WWE, if he said anything he'd be let go.

Foley is Blog: The Story Behind the Melina Photos
By Mick Foley
April 18, 2006
Damn. There’s really no reason for a story like this. If not for my propensity to run good things into the ground, my blog page could have been the go-to place for random Melina (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/melina/) photos for years to come. Then, I had to go and ruin it. Instead of random mentions and photos, they became commonplace, almost mandatory, to the point that “Foley is Blog” readers could have become almost immune to Melina’s photographic charms.
I should have heeded the lessons learned from “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/jimmysnuka/), back when I was in high school and the “Superfly Splash” was the hottest move in the business. Many was the time that I stayed in on Saturday nights, missing out on potential romantic humiliations, just to see Superfly do his thing at midnight on Channel 9, right after horse racing from Yonkers. Except Superfly didn’t always do his thing. Sometimes, instead of climbing to the top and delivering the coup de grace of all wrestling moves, he’d simply climb to rope No. 2 and drop a headbut on a helpless foe for the victory. Sure, it was cool, but it wasn’t the splash, and arguably wasn’t worth staying in for a weekend when I could have been out on the town striking out with the ladies like the rest of my loser friends.
But that next week, I would once again be sitting on my couch at midnight, glued to the tube, awaiting that seminal moment in sports entertainment, and … getting it! Well, occasionally. You see, Superfly knew enough to make me wait. He knew it would keep his fans coming back for more.
I guess I too knew that I should make people wait. After all, that was myhttp://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/150melinafoley2.jpg originally slated plan. A Melina photo here and there strategically placed for maximum effect. So what if no one knew what a SmackDown (http://www.wwe.com/shows/smackdown/) girl was doing in a RAW (http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/) guy’s column? Would it really matter? No, not at all. Then I had to ruin it all. Keeping in mind the words of an old Billie Joe Shaver song, “it’s best to leave the party when it’s happening,” I will do my best to explain the story behind the photos. Then, I’ll leave you WWE fans free to enjoy both my future columns and Melina’s considerable talents.
It all started back, back, way back at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., the site of a WWE Supershow on Feb. 27, 2006. There was a meeting that I apparently forgot about, as I showed up an hour late to find that every single WWE Superstar (and Al Snow) was there but me. I tried to sneak in and act like I’d been there all along, but my attempt at subterfuge fooled no one.
At the conclusion of the meeting, I prepared myself to meet new people. As a very sporadic RAW Superstar, there were actually quite a few people on the SmackDown roster that I had never met. Fortunately, I still watch both brands pretty regularly. So, I at least knew I wouldn’t be saying hello to complete strangers — getting away with calling people “champ” or “pal” the way Val Venis (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/valvenis/) did to me for the first eight months of our acquaintance.
Of the entire SmackDown roster, there was really only one person I was apprehensive about meeting: Melina. Don’t get me wrong, I was a big fan, and I found her character fascinating. But man, she was kind of mean on television. And that entrance! When watching SmackDown with my kids, that entrance would often put me in the unenviable position of having to pretend to be not nearly as interested as I actually was.
DisplayAd("LargeBody");
So, when I saw Melina approaching me, I prepared myself for the quick brush off that was all but inevitable before I met with other SmackDown Superstars who weren’t nearly as scary, such as the Boogeyman (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/boogeyman/). Instead, this beautiful woman said hello with a warmth and sincerity that left me dazed and confused. Was I feeling the effects of so many chair shots, or had the mean girl on TV just been really nice to me?
I walked into a dressing room, and seeing longtime friend and Disney fanatic Scotty 2 Hotty (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/scotty2hotty/), sought out his insight on this most confusing of subjects.
“Scotty, what is Melina like?”
“She’s really quiet,” Scotty said.
“Is she nice?”
“Yeah, she’s nice. But she’s really quiet.”
I turned to another wrestler whose name escapes me, attempting to verify my inquiry.
“Is that true?” I asked.
“Yeah,” the unknown wrestler said. “She’s really shy. She doesn’t talk much.”
I was no longer just confused. Now I was baffled, feeling like a guest star on my very own episode of “The Twilight Zone.” First the mean girl was nice, and now I was expected to believe that the loud girl, the screaming girl, was quiet and shy.
Well, I spoke to the mean, nice, loud and quiet girl a couple more times that night. And I’ve got to be honest; I’d have to go back to the summer of 2001 to the initial Mick Foley (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/mickfoley/)-Katie Couric meeting to find a time when I was so thoroughly taken with someone on first impression.
One of the cool things about having a weekly Web log is that my thoughts, once written, instantly become a matter of public record. Once they’re in the log, they can’t be taken back. So, in my next entry, I thought I would at least acknowledge the fact that I had met Melina and was very impressed. So, I inserted two simple words that fairly accurately summed up my feelings: Holy Crap!
Now, had it not been for WWE’s misleading marketing of that entry, I very likely would not have spoken of Melina again in my Web log. Little did I know that my entry was being augmented with little teases such as: “See what Mick really thinks of Melina.” I don’t want any of my readers to think that I consider my column all that important — at least not on a regular basis. But I did consider that week’s effort to be fairly substantial. After all, I had written about meeting my sponsored child, an international incident at the Manila airport, which may yet see me blackballed from the Philippines, and even my historic 20 hours with Ric Flair (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/ricflair/) on our return flight home.
Yet, in spite of all this, WWE chose to focus on my two words about Melina — even including a revealing photo of her to hype the column. I never actually saw the photo. As some of you know, I don’t even know how to turn a computer on, so although I do the writing (by hand), I very rarely see the finished product on the Web site.
I was a little concerned, however, about offending the poor girl by taking our first meeting and exploiting it.
I asked RAW announcer Joey Styles (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/joeystyles/) for his opinion.
“Actually, I think she’d be flattered,” said Styles.
I also sought out the opinions of a couple of people at WWE.com, they pretty much echoed Joey’s opinion and also added that in its own little way it would actually help Melina, that in wrestling vernacular, it would “put her over.”
That was pretty much all I needed to hear. Keeping in mind that my track record when it came to pleasing beautiful women was a little shaky, I decided to do what I could that next week to both flatter her, and “put her over.” So, yes, I came up with a vague reason to mention her name and asked WWE to slap another picture of her on my blog.
Now, I swear that I fully expected Melina’s column No. 2 to be my last public mention of her, but unfortunately I received word that she had been through a tough time on the most recent SmackDown overseas tour. It seems that some people had mistaken her shyness for arrogance (not the first time I’ve seen someone suffer for that same mistake) and had taken it upon themselves to make her life a little harder than it needed to be.
I wish I had been there to right the wrong, but I wasn’t. I was about 10,000 miles away. So, I did the next best thing: I vowed to continue to post sexy photos of her on my blog as a sign of support. That’s right; it was my own shallow, self-serving immature way of letting her know that I cared.
I’ve talked with Melina several times since that initial meeting, and the mean, nice, loud, quiet girl has made a pretty rapid climb up my list of favorite people in the world (the whole world, not just the wrestling one). In fact, I believe she shot right past Al Snow based on our first “hello,” alone. Not that Al was all that high on the list anyway.
I don’t really know when I will see Melina again. Next WrestleMania (http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/) would be my best guess — almost a full year from now. Sporadic RAW guys and SmackDown people don’t tend to run into each other all that often. I do know that I will look forward to that next meeting with the wide-eyed anticipation of a child awaiting a visit from St. Nicholas on a snowy Christmas Eve. Alright, I know that comparison was a little wimpy, even by my standards. But, truth be told, Melina’s ring entrance has kind of made Santa’s whole sleigh-and-reindeer, bag-of-toys-down-the-chimney thing seem really second rate.
So, until we meet again, I will remain a big fan of what she does around the ring — and an even bigger fan of whom she is away from it.
Author's note: Look for an expanded, updated version of this entry in my as of yet untitled, upcoming autobiography, which is due in bookstores everywhere next spring.
Mick looks like Balls Mahoney in a suit in that photo, only with black, curly hair.

I'm thinking they're going to eventually release Boogeyman before he even returns. I kind of liked the gimmick when it was first "crazy guy who thinks he's a Boogeyman". But once all that weird **** happened like the rain of worms, I kind of lost interest in the character....

Based on the not-so-subtle hints on WWE television and backstage discussion, PWTorch.com reports that there is some chance that WWE will bring back the DeGeneration X faction.
As with other recent WWE teases and storylines, however, one cannot be sure the company will actually go forward with such an idea.
And, due to HBK's religion, there is a limit to how far WWE would go in its reformation.
Due to their relations with TNA and WWE's disinterest in their ability, Kip and BG James would not be brought back for the faction. There is some possibility, however, that Sean Waltman would be considered if the WSX promotion does not take off.
