If the PPV was 25 bucks, it would have been worth it, instead of the 35. So I just look at it like I wasted 10 bucks. Backlash 06 is without a doubt the wierdest WWE PPV ever. Kane/Big Show crap was blah, retarded. "God" was just, wow. Mcmahon going over was odd. RVD/Shelton was a fantastic match and match of the night. Cena going over sucks almost as much as the Gore. If they're going to push HHH as a face, why make him attack everyone after the match. I was hoping Edge would go over so he and HHH could have themselves a fued. But HHH going over would've been the ultimate ending.

And at first I hated the PPV, thought it was a waste, but I watched the replay, and it wasn't too bad of a PPV, it just paled in comparison to WM.

The boxing and wrestling inspectors from the commission for the state of Kentucky is prepared to issue eight or nine violations for the use of blood at the Backlash PPV. Prior to the event, the WWE was warned against the use of blood, but of course, simply ignored the warning. Violators of the juicing rule are subject to fines, and in extreme cases, the promoter or promotion could lose their license in the state. Participants that violate the rule are also subject to a fine. Since blood was used in a few of the matches, those that participated in the match are subject to a violation. Additionally, Ohio Valley Wrestling was recently hit with a violation for using a non-licensed wrestler. In this case, the promotion and the participant were fined separately.

The website for the former ECW Arena has confirmed that a show called "WWE Presents ECW" will be taking place at the venue on 6/24. A Pro Wrestling Unplugged event was scheduled for that night but has now been moved to 6/23. The ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA served as the home of ECW for years. The latest ECW show at the arena was held on December 23rd, 2000

Lance on ECW: Former ECW Tag Team Champion Lance Storm spoke out about the upcoming revival of ECW in the latest commentary on his official website.

In the commentary, Storm does mention that he has had talks with WWE officials about the return of ECW, but insists that he does not intend to join up on a full-time basis owing to the fact that he is serious about his retirement from the ring in an effort to spend more time with his family.

Not only that, but he also has responsibilities at Storm Wrestling Academy school that he runs and that it is his top wrestling priority at this time. Lance doesn't rule out the possibility though of making a few appearances here and there when the timing works out.

Storm was best known for his time in ECW as being one-half of "The Impact Players" alongside Justin Credible and their manager Dawn Marie. They were two time ECW Tag Team Champions, defeating the teams of Raven & Tommy Dreamer and Raven & Mike Awesome to win the belts.

To me, this is a really refreshing change. I mean we've had the face who acts like a heel (Austin, The Rock, Triple H), but for once we have a heel who acts like a face. This is the prototypical Hogan-type face. The guy who sucks up to the fans, uses no heel tactics whatsoever, acts like the typical face. But he gets booed all to hell. It's like the Anti-Austin at the moment. And frankly, I'm kinda digging it :o

Backlash wasn't a bad show at all IMO
Carlito carried Masters well enough in a decent 10 minute match,Flair put Umaga over great as a killer and then Trish and Mickie were having a good match when Trish hurt her shoulder:(

Kane/Show was awful with some decent offense from Show being the only saviour,the red light and voice stuff was hilariously stupid and went on way to long(Kane doing his own voiceover again)

Shawn showed why he is still a master sports entertainer with his ability to involve the crowd in his match and Vince and Shane's willingness to bump is admirable,some cool spots and dopey finish but still fun

Triple threat was a war,all 3 worked well with Cena looking smoother slapping the STFU on than he has previously,HHH put him over clean again and then killed everyone,Cena leaves champ HHH leaves the MAN and Edge will take the belt soon,good stuff:up:

VERY excellent Raw tonight. Both Shawn and Triple H were on their marks as referees in their respective matches. Even the Cena-Kenny match was pretty enjoyable.

I wouldn't call what Joey did tonight on Raw a "crappy product". In fact, that was probably the best built up thing I saw in wrestling in a while. I mean, sure, there's the real factor to it in that Vince doesn't like the way Joey announces. But just the slow build to it. That's why I loved ECW. It wasn't flashy, it wasn't pretty, it wasn't big budget. The reason I loved ECW was that everyone involved put their heart and soul into it. The fans loved them for that, and they loved the fans in return.

True, financial problems killed ECW. Yes, Heyman still owes some of the talent money. That's besides the point. From August 24 1994, the night that Shane Douglas rejected the NWA title and declared the ECW title to be the ECW world title (The birthday of ECW, which up to that point was Eastern Championship Wrestling which was part of the NWA), to December 30, 2000 the last time that ECW Hardcore TV aired, ECW was the bastard of pro-wrestling in the states.

The first ECW match I saw was the complete 20 minute long Sabu vs. Terry Funk match, "Born to be Wired". I then borrowed every ECW tape that my friend in college had and watched them all, even if I had to cut classes to watch it. It was that addicting.

Eh, I don't really want to see the new ECW filled with old ECW stars as well. One thing about ECW was that they always made new stars whenever an old star left. Sure it might be good to have a Sandman or RVD or Tazz put in occasional appearances, but they have to have new ECW wrestlers in as well.
