i thought the first half was exellent.i thought the second half was a bit of a let down.

EXT. ABANDONED CASTLE – NIGHT

A decaying no man's land populated by junkies and hungry homeless. We fly through the castle until we hear MUSIC. It assaults us – the beat is deafening. We follow it through the castle until we come to …

A group of men looking like hard as nails motorcyclists accompanied by the standard leather, tattoos, body piercing, and stack of alcohol. The men crowd round a beautiful young woman in a blinding white dress. She’s tied to the ground, mouth gagged, hands bound, eyes blindfolded.

A circle of candles placed around her. The leader (Chopper) of the group takes up an ancient looking sword. He waves it around over the woman in an exaggerated, over dramatic way. Like a medieval ceremony – they appear to be ready to sacrifice her.

CHOPPER
(Whispering to the girl, right in her face)
Once the Marionette’s awaken. We shall use you as a sacrifice.
(Beat, look at the craziness in his eyes)
Welcome to the underworld, baby.

The hard rock music gets harder, louder and faster. The action gets quicker.

Chopper takes the sword onto a concrete statue of a man lying on his back. He lift’s the sword back, the BEAT gets even louder. The others drink on, cheerful, totally revealing in the moment.

Chopper brings the sword down on the statues chest. Nothing happens for a moment then … the ground around them cracks. Its not just a normal piece of ground – It’s a series of graves.

Chopper looks on excitedly. A boned hand reaches out of the grave followed by another hand. A skeleton crawls out. It’s huge, 7 ft tall, with massive 4 ft swords and steel plating at its joints. The eyeless figure looks right at Chopper – inches from his face.

Chopper actually laughs. They other’s cheer and booze on.

From Chopper’s POV we see 10 other Marionette’s spring up behind the first one.

CHOPPER
I have something for you.

Chopper leads the Marionette over the tied up girl. He stands over her with the Demon next to him. He smiles.

CHOPPER
A sacrifice. Once you have killed her, you will server me.

The Marionette turns and looks at Chopper. It tilts it head. Then SLASH, Chopper’s head bounces across the floor. The Marionette answers to no one.

The others try to escape but the other Marionette’s quickly kill the remaining members biker gang. Slashing their flesh with no regret, no sorrow. The screams are deafening. A pool of blood fills the room, severed heads and limbs everywhere. Once their done they crowd round the girl.

The beat gets louder. Then …

CRASH, the glass roof explodes – literally. A dark figure falls to ground, effortlessly landing on his feet. He stands, it’s DANTE, wearing a blood red cloak laced with a black leather lining, good looking, he’s 30 with ice blue eyes and striking white hair. He draws two silver handguns. One by each side. His gaze is cold and pitiless.

The Beat explodes into chorus - The Marionette’s are in trouble.

Dante leaps 15 ft into the air – we catch him in slow motion just as he begins to descend. BANG! BANG! The two Marionettes’ closest to the girl get their heads blown off.

Dante lands crouched next to the girl. He cartwheels, blowing of some heads, out into the middle of the Marionette’s. With lightning fast movements Date fires in every imaginable direction, Marionette’s heads and limps exploding everywhere.

Dante moves like lightning, blasting his way into two Marionette’s. Dante spins again, shot’s another Marionette in the spine, snapping the creature clean in half.

Dante uses the steel edges of his guns to block blows from sword like a martial artist blocking punches and kicks. He continues blocking a shooting with unnatural speed until they are all gone. He kills them all. He shoots the CD player the music way coming from.

In the silence we can hear the girl tied up cry. Dante puts his guns away and walks over to her. He stands looking, she’s beautiful. His hand approaching her blindfold, he stops, sensing --

A huge Marionette behind him ready to strike.

In a flash Dante turns and draws his magnificent sword, slicing the Demon is half. Eye’s flaming –

We pause on Dante with his glorious sword. The handle a rusted, aged metal shaped like a dragon’s head. The mouth open extending down onto the uncaring razor sharp blade.

SMASH CUT TO:

EXT. CITY STREETS -- NIGHT

Empty garbage filled, decaying streets that are bothered by the stately building, cathedral looking. A disturbing red neon sign breaks the fashion of the structure.

IT READS: DEVIL MAY CRY

Two nervous looking figures budge into view in front of the building, heavy raincoats to beat the blistering cold and lashing rain, they look at a piece of paper.

This is ERIC (30) and KATE (25).

ERIC
This the right place?

KATE
(Unfortunately)
Looks that way.

EXT. DEVIL MAY CRY BUILDING - MAIN HALL

Eric and Kate make their way through the front door into a in a dank, cavernous room, distinguished by the unnatural skulls of bizarre animals pinned to the walls – Demon skulls.

At the end of the room beneath a flickering light is a desk, dirty and untidy. The two visitors anxiously make their way deeper into the room.

ERIC
(Echoing through
the room)
Hello …

His call goes unanswered as they reach the desk at the end of the room. The desk has been used recently; empty pizza boxes and freshly drank soda cans lay scattered over it.

Eric catches sight of a darkly light door – Almost like it’s calling to him. He approaches and opens it. From Eric’s POV we see inside the room; Piles of swords and axes, boxes of bullets, body armour, dusty old books of biblical origin fill the room.

Kate glances over his shoulder into the room. Immediately she adopts look of apprehension.

KATE
I don’t like this … lets go.

ERIC
It’s a f**kin’ arsenal.

Eric, curious, makes his way in the room.

INT. ARMOURY ROOM

KATE
(Fearful)
Come on Eric, let’s go.

Ignoring her, Eric continues. Surveying the weaponry that is on hand. Then something catches his eye. Two silver handguns, with black handles locked on a wall by themselves, displayed like trophies.

Behind him Kate timidly makes her way into the Armoury. Eric reaches the wall with the guns. He takes a close look at the beautifully polished weapons.

He looks at the handles they read …

ERIC
Ebony and Ivory … who names their guns?

KATE
Someone, who plans on using them a lot. This was a bad idea, so can we now please get out of here.

ERIC
(Sensing his friend is genuinely scared)
Ok. Nobody’s in anyway.

Eric takes one final look at the breathtaking firearms – there otherworldly.

INT. MAIN HALL

Eric and Kate make exit the armoury. Eric closes the door behind him. Then SMASH, a huge sword sways, stabbed into the door after being thrown into it.

Both Eric and Kate’s eye’s go wide. Kate screams.

There’s a thud. From Kate and Eric’s POV we see a shadowed figure, head dipped, in a flowing dark cloak, standing in front of them.

VOICE
(With venom)
I don’t like people looking at my stuff.

Kate panicked looks on in terror. Eric moves her behind him, guarding her. He stares at the figure, frightened.

ERIC
Please, we don’t want any trouble … we just came here looking for a guy named Dante … I’m sorry about looking in the room. I guess my curiosity got the better of my … Please, don’t hurt us.

VOICE
(Like he really means it)
Curiosity killed the cat.

At home I have a PC, but at work I have 2 PC's and a G4. Eat your heart out, sithy-boy! :D No, after I got mad at safari I never went back to it. I work mostly on PC now these days anyway, so there's really no point in going back to safari.

eh, I dunno. . .whoever gets picked, I'm gonna just run with it. I'd like to see Cavill, obviously, but there's not gonna be anything gained by ^_^^_^^_^^_^^_^ing and moaning about it until summer of 06. I don't want to be that angry for that long. :( Besides, Catwoman proved WB doesn't give two ^_^^_^^_^^_^s about what we think, really. that's the way I'm looking at it... I mean, even if Welling gets selected, a lot can happen between now and summer 06. I mean, this is the big time, big money movie of the decade possibly. They could get welling a half dozen acting coaches on the set to help him out, and they could work with him for MONTHS prior to start of filming on the movie. If Bale can make the transformation he made in such a short time, Welling has the possibility of changing between now and end of the year. Is it likely? I dunno, I've never met the guy. He may be interested in the part, but then get it and become obsessed over it and go crazy preparing. . .could happen. I've done that. . .not made a big deal out of a job interview until I GOT the job, then I allowed myself to get really excited about it. I think whoever Superman is, they're leaning in a proper direction at least. No one's gonna make the movie that will please us all completely. There will undoubtedly be things I'll ^_^^_^^_^^_^^_^ about, even if Cavill is selected, but hell, I think it's gonna be one fun ride when it's all said and done. :D

i hope the right choice is made.. (simple I know) Be it Welling, be it Cavill, be it whoever.. I just hope that when we see that first picture of the new Superman we see Superman and not some actor dressed in a costume.
I've been against Cavill from the start, and I have to admit that if Cavill were to be cast i'd be dissapointed, but if when I see that first picture he can convince me that he's a decent choice then I shall eat my words and support him and the project.

I think the secrecy is because there's nothing to tell. . .I mean, on Batman they didn't announce any actors until they were cast .. .the final 6 there weren't announced for sure until right about the time they actually read, I think. I for one am seeing a pattern forming. . .they seem to be along a Batman approach, and quite frankly, that makes me really happy. Maybe they've gotten their ducks in a row, and realized how to make a Superhero film finally.

Well here's what I don't get. With Batman they Got Chris Nolan and David Goyer and the fans were dancing with joy, myself included. Then they got the casting right with Bale and the rest and not only were we dancing but singing the WB praise and then we got a wiff of the script*fake or not* and we Groveling at them to put this thing out.

Now for the part that confuses me, if you did all that with Batman and had people screaming in anticipation, then why do you go get McG, Peters and JJ Abrams for Superman and piss just about everyone off? Why would you ignore the boos and hisses coming from people who've read the leaked script? Then after you've gotten everyone in an uproar over the fact that this looks like a horrible film, you start keeping secrets then?

This is either the biggest film making blunder of the new Mellenium or the best kept secret since the location of Jimmy Hoffa.

I think that the secrecy was because there was too much casual informatio being "leaked." I think they decided to not release anything until they REALLY had something to release. I mean, think about it; what is is there to tell? I mean, they usually wanna start with a casting decision, and they will.. relax. . they're right on schedule for releasing things now. . . it just seems out of proportion because of the unusually long "prologue" or preperation that doesn't even really count as pre-production.
