i know what you're talking about. and the best thing to do about it....stop arguing it. i know its hard....but thats what i've been doing. for the most part i have quite debating welling. i WILL questin people rationale on certain aspects, but without actually debating the welling situation itself. its a pointless debate. neither side is gonna budge. it never produces any results. its a complete waste of time, especially when there are MANY things we COULD be discussing that would actually produce results and make a difference (Which is what we're suppose to be doing here). and while a few people are willing to DISCUSS things rationally and civil....the majority of people are immature dumb a$$es about it and they always chime in to ruin everything.

very very very true. the funny thing is, everyone here sits and b!tc#es about WB and how they're handling this and why they cant get anything done...well, for the most part, these boards are no different....quite sad. i try to be civil and rationale and actually try to do some good...i like to think i fall into the "truth, justice, and hope" category...but too many people here are not like that, and it ruins everything, most importantly it ruins the purpose of these boards rendering them useless. i too find it hard to believe that the majority of the posters here are actually GENUINE superman fans who understand the purpose and importance of the character, his comics, and this film.

Ok, so I went over to my friends to play a little poker, and honestly I wasn't even sure I was going to bring anything up, but after we both went out one after another, I decided then was as good a time as any and I took him aside. Basically, Marv's advice was good, so I went with that general approach, told him that I liked his sister, she liked me, but I made it clear to him that our friendship came first. He wasn't very suprised (whether his sis mentioned something to him, or he noticed our flirting all the time) I thought things were going well, then he just lays it out that if I really were a good friend Id let the whole thing drop. He said he knows that I'd be good to her or whatever, but it would be an akward situation for him, especially if and when we broke up. He also felt he'd act different towards me, basically my friend isn't going to like anyone his sis brings home. So I said thats fine, and I felt kinda stupid even bringing it up, because he made a lot of good points against it, which maybe I should have seen, but didn't. Either way, it felt good to get all that off my chest, and Im totally fine with it, hes one of my best friends, so Ill respect him on this one. Gossip away :)

well, even though things didnt turn out for the best, they didnt turn out all that bad. all is well between you two, and in the end thats whats important. and who knows, maybe he'll thnk about what you said, maybe his sister will say something, or whatever, and he'll come back and give you the thumbs up. but sorry you didnt get the girl....that always sucks.

I've got Paycheck, Bourne Identity, Office Space, Shattered Glass, and The Missing.

I saw BI with my fiance and was feeling kind of sick so I fell asleep on her lap at the movie theatre :-/ I missed most of the movie so tonight I'm gonna catch up on it. From what I remember of it, I liked. Hopefully it will be good on DVD :up:

uh, lets see....the past week or so i've been a bit slack on my movies....dvd player was broken....but i have the same DVD player as my sister and she barely watches movies, so i switched our DVD playes while she wasnt home:D . anyways, right now i got out DEAD MAN (i believe last we talked i mentioned about thinking of renting it)....i'm planning on watching it tonight or tomorrow night (i may be busy doing something else tonight....no not that!). i also watch RASHOMON the other night....awesome film.

I want to find out about being a Set Medic for TV or Movies. I am qualified although I might need to take a trauma course.
Any info or direction?

yeah, it was cool. i forget if that was one of Kurosawas films that got re-made into a western though. okay, so ACTION-BOY the movie. i think now, considering the comic book movie fad, would be a perfect time for AB the movie because it's a superhero comedy. what many of you dont know, there is an action-girl. it's my friend, lindsey....JUST FRIENDS. but the movie would be about a superhero couple (as in "in love" couple) who base their operations in detroit (of course). the town loves them. they are the towns heros, they become celberities, and the duo pretty much eliminate all crime in detroit. then the duo get married and it's this big public media event. but when theres no more crime in detroit theres nothing left for them to do as heros. they live up their ceberity-ism as much as they can. but then their relationship begins to fail and they go through a very nasty public divorce....and even though they pretty much hate eachother now, they still live together (let the hyjinks begin). then, a major super-villian comes to detroit f**king everything up. but wheres action boy and action girl, where is the ACTION SQUAD! it's been so long since they've had to deal with crime that they are out of shape and are seriously bitter towards eachother. they come to realize that in order to defeat this new evil they must put differences aside and work together like they used to....and in the process find eachothers love again. it's drama, its romance, but it'll be all comedy. plus, throughout the entire movie, they are never out of their action costumes....even when they're not fighting crime. like, they'll just go to a coffee house and have a coffe in costume. they have no alter ego's, they ARE action boy and action girl!
