He runs, wishing he could fly
Only to trip at the sound of good-bye

yeah, it was really cool, heres what happened:

in downtown detroit this week is the annual tastefest. it's like a bunch of food, arts, and music set throughout a few square blocks of the city. and so today, BLANCHE was playing a show, and it was free, and blanche is a super duper rad band so i went to go see them. i figured i'd see Jack White there because not only is he good friends with the members of Blanche, but he also produced their album and he goes to all of their local shows (thats where i met him last time). anyways, Jack is also dating renee zelwegger snd i heard a rumor that she actually bought a house in detroit by jacks house (how cute). so i'm at the show and i see jack come into the crowd, and i was happy, then right behind him was Renee....and i was really happy. so after the show i go talk to them, jack at first then renee came over. so i start chatting. i told renee that i'm a big fan of her movies and that shes one of my favorite actresses, and she was like:

(paraphrasing)

Renee: oh thanks a lot.

TJ: no problem.

Renee: so which one of my films is your favorite?

TJ: oh, well i absolutely LOVED cold mountain, you were AMAZING in it! i really liked CHICAGO. i love love love EMPIRE RECORDS, hell, i enven enjoyed WHITE OLEANDER....

which we chuckled about since its a total chick flick.

Renee: so which one would you say you like the most.

TJ: well, i probably gotta say, my favorite movie of yours is TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 4: THE NEXT GENERATION :D

her and jack laughed a lot at that.

but it was just a quick conversation, they were on their way out. but it was cool. i suppose with how i just typed it above, she sounds egotistical, but she really wasnt. she was really nice and cool. if i had more time i would have mentioned my screenwriting aspirations, but it didnt feel right. but hey....

dude, netflix is amazing. first off, they probably have 10 times the number of titles than any video store you can find. it's only like 21 bucks a month (which is like 5 movie rentals at any store....so if you rent at leasst 5 movies a month, its worth it....i usually go through more than 10 a month). but you can keep them as long as you want, no late fees. you just go online, find the movie you want, hit rent....and your good to go. you can have out three movies at a time. and you can build up a rental queue so that when you mail one back, the next on your list will automatically be shipped out. and there is never any charge for shipping and handling (for both recieving, and sending...its all prepaid). and you can edit your rental queue any time you want....so you can change the order of your movies, you can delete movies, you can save movies before they come out, etc....but its actually quite amazingly cool. and you can rent as many as you want a month....but you can only have 3 at a time. plus, i have it set up so they just automatically charge my credit card every month, so i never have to mail check and mess with paying the bill, so its really nice. i highly suggest it....i've been really happy with it.

dude, netflix is amazing. first off, they probably have 10 times the number of titles than any video store you can find. it's only like 21 bucks a month (which is like 5 movie rentals at any store....so if you rent at leasst 5 movies a month, its worth it....i usually go through more than 10 a month). but you can keep them as long as you want, no late fees. you just go online, find the movie you want, hit rent....and your good to go. you can have out three movies at a time. and you can build up a rental queue so that when you mail one back, the next on your list will automatically be shipped out. and there is never any charge for shipping and handling (for both recieving, and sending...its all prepaid). and you can edit your rental queue any time you want....so you can change the order of your movies, you can delete movies, you can save movies before they come out, etc....but its actually quite amazingly cool. and you can rent as many as you want a month....but you can only have 3 at a time. plus, i have it set up so they just automatically charge my credit card every month, so i never have to mail check and mess with paying the bill, so its really nice. i highly suggest it....i've been really happy with it.

yeah, I work with two guys who swear by it. I just. . .I fluctuate. Sometimes I'll rent upwards of 10 movies a month, sometimes not one. Depends on my schedule. And the real kicker is do I need the extra expenditure right now? I'm trying to get a dedicated server for BlueTights in the next couple weeks, and that's costing me upwards of 100 bucks a month. . .so. . .priorities. Right now this girl I work with who used to be tangentally attached to the movie biz(did promo stuff. . .billboards, one sheets, etc) and I get together about once a week, sometimes twice, and rent a couple movies to watch. She's got that deal Jc's got at BB where you pay 25 a month, and you can have out 3 films, no due dates. . .much like netflix, but right down the street, not 3 days mail away. :) for now, she rents the films cause she's got that deal, and she makes more cash than me :) And I get free dinner out of it once in a while, cause the woman loves to cook.

well, the s#!tty thing about the welling uprise here (other than the obvious) is many of them are really arrogant about it. they'll toss it around wherever they can and gloat. it's quite annoying. plus they get close minded, like NO OTHER ACTOR CAN EVER PLAY SUPERMAN UNLESS IT'S WELLING! it's quite annoying, and i f**king HATE people who are arrogant! and by no means does this apply to ALL welling supporters. like, ZING. Zing's cool. but,....guh.

In a coffee shop in a city
Which is every coffee shop in every city
On a day which is every day
I picked up a magazine
Which is every magazine
Read a story, and then forgot it right away

They say goldfish have no memory
I guess their lives are much like mine
And the little plastic castle
Is a surprise every time
And it’s hard to say if they’re happy
But they don’t seem much to mind

From the shape of your shaved head
I recognized your silhouette
As you walked out of the sun and sat down
And the sight of your sleepy smile
Eclipsed all the other people
As they paused to sneer at the two girls
From out of town

I said, look at you this morning
You are, by far, the cutest
But be careful getting coffee
I think these people wanna shoot us
Or maybe there’s some kinda local competition here
To see who can be the rudest

People talk
About my image
Like I come in two dimensions
Like lipstick is a sign of my declining mind
Like what I happen to be wearing
The day that someone takes a picture
Is my new statement for all of womankind

I wish they could see us now
In leather bras and rubber shorts
Like some ridiculous new team uniform
For some ridiculous new sport
Quick someone call the girl police
And file a report

In a coffee shop in a city
Which is every coffee shop in every city
On a day which is every day

okay, I'm leaving now. :D

some dudes set some bushes on fire right next to my apts tonight. .made me mad. I coulda lost all my stuff. . .not in a materialistic kinda way, but like. . my artwork, my clothes, the roof over my head. . all of it cause some jack ass can't handle a firework. . .

I refer back to my previous commment. . .America Rules! Let's Burn Something! Fire works are cool like. .the first three times you see them, then it's the same ol thing. And I never understood the whole mentality of "This place kicks ass, let's burn it down!" I mean, how many times does it have to happen? every year someone in this town is out of house and home because some jackass can't handle his foreworks properly. . . I'm sure those people are celebrating.

You have to, dude. This election is very important and Michigan is a key swing state. It will probably go to Kerry, but there's no guarantee. Expect me to hound you about this until 29 days before the election. (I'm pretty sure you have to be registered for 30 days prior.)

Amazing Book, American Psycho, and it's ten times more psychotic and disturbing than the movie. Brett Ellis is probably the only man on the planet that is as disturbed as Clive Barker.
