Her representative said "Because she's an Oscar winner she wants roles that will test her."

Evidently Catwoman tested her. I still don't get what was so Oscar worthy about her Monster's Ball proformance. IF they wanted an actress that could cry a lot and then get railed from behind by Billie Bob Thorton they could have gone to the Streets of any major city in the US and found someone to give that statue.

dude. . .if you take it from behind from Billy Bob Thornton, you deserve an oscar! :D

yeah, wants roles that challenge her. . .BWAHAHAHAHA Catwoman looks like a real masterpiece! translation: She just wants to be in the spotlight.

I miss all the good discussions. Dag, why I gotta work.
Now there was a question about what?

There is no question. And the answer is certainly not Brad. Please
There is Tom and then there is......Well we all know how the sentence ends....No there is just Tom.

i dont know how i feel about this? i mean, will they just get another actress to fill the role, or just have storm magically gone from part three with a BS one line excuse. either way is kind of weird. and while i'm not necessarily a Halle fan, i'd probably prefer she stays on for the role.

Marv! I know you read comics, and if anyone else here does too, I need some new reading material. Batman or Superman preferrably. Just finished Dark Victory, waiting on a Birthright TPB. I'm up to date on the Superman(since Lee started), and on Batman/Superman. I suppose I could just go buy the other Sale/Loeb Batman that I don't have. . .I can't remember the name. . .whatever isn't DV or LH. Any other reccommendations on what would be good to pick up? I still don't own Kingdom Come. . .never even read it. The shop was out of it last weekend. :(

GET KINGDOM COME!!!! its seriously one of the best comics i've ever read. the other Loeb/Sale batman book is HAUNTED KNIGHT. i havent been able to find it, but i hear its really good. Also, get ARKHAM ASYLUM (NOT arkham asylum: living hell) it's by grant morrison and dave mckean....so f**king good!!!! and dont forget Loeb/Sale on Daredevil: Yellow, Spiderman: Blue, and Hulk: Gray. and you HAVE to get as much of Bendis/Maleev daredevil books as possible. i believe it started on issue 26 and runs to the current, being like issue 61 (i believe a few books in there Maleev didnt do the art for, but still get it!!!) i believe some of that is already in TPB, so find them, and get it. that is seriously one of the best books on the shelf right now. and when it comes out in TPB (i have no idea when, i'm just assuming it will), or find the single issues...get the batman story Broken City by brian azzarello and eduardo risso (it's the run that followed HUSH)....it's REALLY F**KING GOOD!

sweeet Thanks! I've been lacking in good material... and I have so little knowledge anymore. . . I'm trying to get back into stuff...one issue at a time :D though, I prefer TPB's. My local shop gives 10% off all TPBs. . ..plus it makes my piles neater. :)

Recommended Reading.

Batman: Ego
Batman: Broken City
Gotham Central (just put out first 5 issues in TPB, if you dont like this, then I'll mail you a pair of my used panties)
Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth
Green Arrow:Quiver
Green Arrow: Sounds of Violence
Green Arrow: Archers Quest (by Meltzer, you know, the guy writing that little thing call Identity Crisis)
Kingdom Come (I seem to remember you saying you haven't read this, shame on you!)
Watchmen (If you haven't read KC, then I assume you haven't read this either, only the best comic ever made.)
Alias vol 1234 (Bendis man, Bendis)
Daredevil (Everything by Bendis and Maleev)
Y The Last Man (not sure if you're into non-superhero stuff but if you are this is the best of the bunch)
100 Bullets (same as above, but maybe better)
Sleeper (Best series out right now, and you need to know nothing of the Wildstorm universe to read it)
Invincible (Kirkman kicks ass, maybe my new favorite title, and one of our members here at the hype has had art published in it...Ghrendel)

Thats just for starters, ask me again after you buy all this...and buy it you will!:D

i KNOW those DD books are in TPB form (or up to a point) i'm gonna try to find the titles of them and the order they go in....i know a few are called:

DD: Out
DD: Underboss
DD:Hardcore
DD: Lowlife

but i dont know if thats all of them, and i'm not quite sure of the chronological order....but i'm looking online, so hang tight. but seriously, those bendis/maleev DD boks are just.... ....some of the best books i've ever read!!!

Thats just for starters, ask me again after you buy all this...and buy it you will!:D

sweet list. . I'll check out the Green Arrow stuff too. I mostly stay in Bats and Supes, cause I could see myself getting carried away if I just let my desire for good stories go nuts. . .but I should peek into green arrow. And I want some good GL stuff too.

I want KC. . .like I said, the shop was out of it when I went to purchase it. . .of course. .the weekend I go to buy it, they run out. It's been on the shelf for over a year, and noooooo. Anyway. I've read Watchmen. . .I can't pinpoint why I loved it so much, but it was just bloody fantastic!

I was gonna pick up some Sin City, but I hear it's quality is dodgy. Some of it's really good, some is just blah. That and 300. I think I'll grab that soon too. Love Miller.

Oh, and I've seen the Gotham Central TPB on the shelf the last few times. .keep eyeballing it. . .I'll have to pick it up.

JUSTIN, heres those DD TPB's in order....get them all!!! the story is currently on like issue 61 or something like that, so i'm sure you can find all the single issues that start after this TPB collection. you'll notice there isnt a TPB out for issues 38-40. while bendis DID write them, Maleev didnt do the art, and i guess they never put them in a TPB....but you can find the single issues i'm sure. anyways....BUY THESE!!!

Daredevil TPBs:

Daredevil: Underboss (issues 26-31)
Daredevil: Out (issues 32-37)
Daredevil: Lowlife (issues 41-45)
Daredevil: Hardcore (issues 46-50)

New one is called The Shadowlands, and beyond that, once again, I can't really give details.

They've also bought another one of mine - Spirit in the Night (my homage to the music of Bruce Springsteen) a while ago but they can't really do anythign with it because they've got to get song clearance from the Boss himself.

I sold my books without an agent, but I got lucky and got a contract on my first query. The publisher took care of the copyright, but it was in my name, of course.

For some reason I would think it would be tougher with manuscipts. Don't really know why, just a gut feeling.

Well the script I'm working on now is for an already copyrighted character so that may prove tricky. I'd first have to get permission and then copyright the script. So what I'll do is write the script to that I have it all out and then get permission from the company to use their character, then copyright the script and submit it. That sounds like the best course of action.

It also sounds like the most time consuming, though. What if you go to all that work and they won't give you permission? Perhaps you could try to get permission first.

One of the benefits to the way I published my books was that I got a contract before I wrote them. What happened was, I submitted a query/book proposal. After receiving my book proposal, the publisher asked me for a couple of sample chapters, which I then wrote. It wasn't until they offered me the contract that I wrote the book. I just liked doing it that way because it saved me a lot of time. Just a thought.

I understand how that works with books, I've been asked to do shorts based on samples used in a publication of various works. This a tad bit trickier. See I'm an unknown to a film company, especially a large film company. besides, I'm writing the script one way or another. If they don't like it I'll give it someone who wants to do a fan film adaption just so i can get a writers credit.

it amazes me how they keep doing this. . taking stories that should have no opportunity for Martial Arts stuff in them, and they say, "HEY! Let's drop Jackie Chan in there" and then they strain the whole movie trying to invent situations where he can display his skills. . .just feels WAY too forced to me.

Hi CK.
Yes baby it is the weekend.
The biggest news might be that pair of hooters on the previous page.

I have the weekend off.
And until we actually see them filming believe nuthin/
and johnsonuk said some more stuff really nuthin.

But if Marvel sees female breasts all the blood leaves his big head ( the one on top) for the little head (the one in his pant)
But if Batman sees female breast he can hangon until he gets her home.

I think that is it.

no, casey knows the story...but i'm not the type of guy who measures his metaphorical manhood by how many chicks he's stuck with his literal manhood. like take my avatar for instance....why do i love meg? not so i can get her drunk, and then f**k her...HELL NO! matter of fact, if meg came up to me and was like "hey, lets screw"....i'd probably have to decline...though it'd be more out of fear. but i love meg because (i think i've stated this here before) just looking at her she has this "presence" that just hits you...its amazing. its like theres so much f**ked up in the wrold today, and none of that can be ignored. but meg just resonates with this goodness....she is a genuine good person, and you dont find too many people like that in the world today, its rare, and when you witness someone like that they cant be ignored. but when shes around, it almost like theres nothing wrong in the wrold....nothing can be bad when meg is near.

Well you can forget the bow to me part, but the rest was quite lovely. But you see I know nothing of you but that you like to eat and you are the envy of probably a lot of women cause you do eat and don't gain weight. But I digress. Hey! Who said anything about flirty. I don't want flirty. I've got enough of that. However, a non chauvanistic comment now and then would be refreshing.

P.S. It sounds like not so much metal is flying at your head these days . . good boy. :)

I don't actually look at women as objects. Women, for the most part, are beautiful. I'm honest though, I like the female form and I don't mind saying it. However, I don't say things like "nice t*ts" or "I'd like to bang her". I post pictures, that's it. If the woman is hot, she's hot.

Just as I'm sure you like Tom's form, and he isn't just a side of beef with a creamy filling.

And as for you, Frantik:  One step forward, two steps back. :D

Starbaby!! you are a fantastic artist. I think I went to your site a while back and comment on you drawings. I think I remember remarking that you were quite talented. Some of the drawings were disturbing but that didn't detract from your skill. This one is great.

Now why this will make Meg love you I don't know but I sure hope it works. I won't tell anyone....:)

I really like it. Starbaby =artist

why would it make meg love me, well....

**enter motown marvel train of thought**
--i give the drawing to Ko
--Ko LOVES the drawing, she gives me a big hug and thanks me....meg is there too, she likes the drawing as well.
--Ko invites me to come hang out with them, i oblige
--we go hang out, and since i'm amazingly cool, meg cannot resist (i mean, she's only human)
--by the end of the night, she's wearing my superman ring and picking out brides maid dresses.

:D
