In other news today: Superman reject Brett Ratner signs to direct MI:3. Apparently, the plot revolves around Ethan Hunt's quest to assasinate a terrorist that goes by the name Jon Peters. Jon Peters is set to star along side Tom Cruise.

nah, I just need people to understand that while I LOVE doing this stuff, it's just me! my fingers can only move so fast. :) I'm getting the stuff taken care of as SOON as possible, I took last night off to watch a movie, and didn't even get through it. :( and it's back to work tonight! :) I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the stuff, but I spend a lot of time saying "we're working on it!" which means taking time away from ACTUALLY working on it :) get it? ;)

similar, yes, but MUCH mroe agile, and that's the biggest draw for me. That crouch position was simply NOT possible in the old suits. Can't WAIT to see him in action!

i totally agree about the agile,if you look close you can see the material is stretching and i think they put on moulded material on top.i have no idea why, because the style is basicly the same all the time, but i was expecting something different. As for bale the first time i saw him in the mask i just thought mad fu**.
still i would say it is so-so.

dont like the cape it looks like material - have to say it i prefer the batsuit from sandys trailer:o
The Watchman
07-27-2004, 03:47 PM
Its the minor deatails about the suit that could have easily been remedied that bother me. For example, the cape and cowl should be the same color, the bat-symbol should be darker than the body, the sculped abs remind me of Schumacher. As for the positive, he can move his head, he can rouch now! The cowl is different, and menacing, the gauntlets are cool and there for a reason. Overall I think it'll work fine on film, although personally I would have liked to have seen something radically different from Burtons vision.

ok guys, lets give it our own rating on this board.Admitedly it may look different on screen but out of 10 what would you give it.Take into account agility as well as looks.
8 out of 10 for me.

I give it a 6, the belt, sculpted abs, rubber, just doesn't do it for me, lack of creativity on Nolans part. Could go up when I see it in action, or if minor details were fixed.

been a big BOND fan sad news.brosnan has apparently QUIT.
here is what someone posted on the boards at mi6.it is also up at latino review.
NEW YORK - Pierce Brosnan (news) appears to be turning in his license to kill, according to Entertainment Weekly. "That's it," Brosnan told EW.com. "I've said all I've got to say on the world of James Bond."
In an interview with the magazine's Web site, the Irish-born actor said 2002's "Die Another Day" was his last mission on her majesty's secret service.
"Bond is another lifetime behind me," Brosnan said.
But the 51-year-old's statement might be a negotiating ploy. Original Bond Sean Connery (news) quit for a whole movie before being lured back for bigger bucks. If true, England-based Eon productions, which produces the Bond flicks, must find another star to carry 007's Walther PPK in the as-yet-untitled 21st Bond movie, which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 18, 2005.
Speculation surrounds Brits Clive Owen, Ioan Gruffudd (news), Colin Firth (news), Hugh Grant (news), Gerard Butler, Jude Law and Ewan McGregor, as well as Aussies Hugh (nose) Jackman, Heath Ledger and Eric Bana.
For Brosnan, playing James Bond will always be a fond memory.
"We went out on a high," Brosnan said, "and I look back affectionately at that time and doing those four movies. But I've said all I gotta say on it."

Me too. I liked Brosnan back in the Remington Steele days. You may notice a pattern here. Tall Dark and Handsome. And he is all that. He was great in Thomas Crown affair too. I know this convo is over but I had to put my 2 cents in on Brosnan. Great Bond.

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 60 pixels, the height no greater than 60 pixels, and the file size no more than 49 KB.
This is from copied from Voice. I read it carefully and when it was too big it would take it so I made it smaller actually put 60x60 n the attributes so it came out perfect but it only showed an x. I took it down.
I drew the S on myself. Didn't I do a good job and I have horrible handwriting.

As we're talking of Bond I'll list my favourite Bonds...
1. Sean Connery -- simply because he was the first, therefore he becomes the bench mark against all others will be judged.
2. Pierce Brosnan -- a more complete Bond than all of them, never had his defining film imo. GoldenEye was close but I think there's a better film out there. Pity those hacks named Wade&Purvis are still writing the films. Bring back Michael France!
3. Roger Moore -- he was the first Bond I watched as a child, what he lacked in the smouldering demenour he made up for in charm. Cursed by the tragedy that was Moonraker.
4. Timothy Dalton/George Lazenby -- even though Dalton might have been the better bond Lazenby had the better film in OHMSS. OHMSS definitely deserves to be up there with the greats like Goldfinger and GoldenEye.

i would put connery and brosnan very nearly level.Connery is the first so is the benchmark. But connery had the better material(books)so it says how good a job brosnan has done.
if it was not for roger moore i would not have got into bond so i like roger.
timothy dalton was good but he lacked that"something"he lacked the ability to use the throw away humour, it feels forced.
george lazenby was like you say in a very good film(story wise)but i actually think the film is spoilt by bad sound fx that the director used.In places it feels cheap.but george was good in places but he looks uncomfortable in places too.not the greatest of actors.
as for a replacement for brosnan.Well i have said befour no one shouts out to me the way brosnan did,so i am open minded. But with names like OWEN,JACKMAN,BANA,GRUFFOAD, and others i would put the name JAMES PUREFOY among them.

I am susposed to see it tonight. Is is scarey, that is what I want to know. Now answer this in terms of, basically I am a girly girl, scared of the Exorcist, liked Signs but again slept with light on after. So with that in mind will I be scared?
Oh and thanks for the feedback.

its not necesarily scary...but like signs, there are scenes that will make you jump. and there is one scene in particular...that the way it was filmed is absolutely haunting. the actions in the scene itself arn't really anything out of the ordinary...its just how they filmed it was amazing and haunting.

Connery will always be my favorite, especially since "Goldfinger" and "Thunderball" are my favorite Bond films ("From Russia With Love" and "The Spy Who Loved Me" are also close to the top).
I've never been able to get into Brosnan from the moment he accepted the role -- hated "Goldeneye" and the dreadful score by Eric Serra (after many great years from John Barry).
Roger Moore is the first Bond I ever saw, and will always hold a place in my heart. "For Your Eyes Only" (disco music aside) is a bit underrated.
"On Her Majesty's Secret Service" is terrific (loved the fight between Diana Rigg and Blofeld's henchman). Dalton was quite good, but the two films he appeared in never appealed to me particularly.
And I must admit ...
(cowers)
I love Moonraker ...
:o
And I don't just like it ... I love it ... "Look after Mr. Bond -- see that some harm comes to him."

Yeah, the reason Connery edges it for me over Brosnan is because Connery had more that one great Bond film. Brosnan will always have the one and only GoldenEye. I just loved GoldenEye. For me everything about it was close to perfect. The way they re-introduced him after all that time. The villian. Just needed the car.
Glad to see I'm not the only one that thinks OHMSS is terribly underated in most peoples eyes.

they had that excuse for a bond car z3:mad: but i actually really like all of brosnans exept for DIE ANOTHER DAY.madonna'a awfull song did not start it off good. But the torcher during the titles were exellent. It was great for about an hour. Then that F*****g IDIOT TAMHIRIE DECIDED HE WANTED SHI**Y AWFULL CGI and it was awfull fx.It could have been so good because it started like it was to be seriouse all the way.

Ladies, ladies ... let the men quarrel and fight one another about various subjects while we watch and snicker from the sidelines. ;)
Regarding Bond, I really did feel that OHMSS was extremely underrated as Sing pointed out, although it seems to be gaining more respect with each passing year. Barry's score is great, the ski chase sequences are dynamite, and Telly Savalas is the best Blofeld (although I liked Donald Pleasence in YOLT). Who could have possibly thought that Kojak had it in him?
Too bad that he didn't return for "Diamonds Are Forever," which some people seem to enjoy. I always hated Tiffany Case because -- even by Bond standards -- they made her into such a buffoon. By the time she fires a machine gun and goes skittering off the side of the oil rig, I was ready to kill her.
johnsonuk -- Do you think "For Your Eyes Only" is better than "Spy Who Loved Me?" Sometimes I read about people debating that. It's awfully close where I'm concerned ... :)

I think that might have something to do with The Incredibles using the Propellerheads remixed track on the trailier.

i totally agree it is close.FYEO is more realistic storyline where as TSWLM is a more fantastic one. That is why i said "one of" as well as "if not the".today i could sayTSWLM tomorrow i could say FYEO.
FYEO is probably rogers best version(acting) for the simple reason he plays parts deadly seriouse(the part where he kicks the car over the edge)FYEO brought bond back "down to earth".
I think i will sit on the fence with this one because they are both great films but with different tones.
what i can say is rogers worst film and possibly the worst of the entire series,THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN.

Hi all, good morning. I have read all that was said about Bond. I am dissapointed that Brosnan won't be doing any more. For me, after Sean Connery (who I think is way more handsome and a better actor now then he ever was in Bond), Brosnan is Bond. I didn't like Timothy Dolton at all. He was like so watered down for me. Roger Moore was okay but I alway felt like he was 'The Saint' . The others you have mention, I am sure I have seen the movies but that is how much of an impact they made on me, I don't remember. You guys really do know your Bond. I am impressed. Bond Nerds :D

Hand attractive meaning you have the urge to run your hands over all the grooves and ridges on a man's chest. My definition.:D
I always use the term, "tongue attractive" myself. ;) :D
But I love a chest with ridges and grooves ... and I especially love a smooth chest. Never been a fan of copious body hair.

Oh I really like that term. I will put them together cause I am sure when one is working so is the other. So either HATA or TAHA. I think I like TAHA ( tongue and hand attractive). Well if I see either on I will know.
Yeah baby!;) :D
