Differences Between Men & Women (Disclaimer: I don't see myself in too many of these stereotypes. Do you?)

NICKNAMES: If Gloria, Suzanne, Debra and Michelle go out for lunch, they will call each other Gloria, Suzanne, Debra and Michelle. But if Mike, Phil, Rob and Jack go out for a brewsky, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Peanut-Head and Useless.

EATING OUT: And when the check comes, Mike, Phil, Rob and Jack will each throw in $20 bills, even though it's only for $22.50. None of them will have anything smaller, and none will actually admit they want change back. When the girls get their check, out come the pocket calculators.

BATHROOMS: A man has six items in his bathroom-a toothbrush, shaving cream, razor, a bar of Dial soap, and a towel from the Holiday Inn. The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 437. A man would not be able to identify most of these items.

GROCERIES: A woman makes a list of things she needs and then goes out to the store and buys these things. A man waits till the only items left in his fridge are half a lime and a soda. Then he goes grocery shopping. He buys everything that looks good. By the time a man reaches the checkout counter, his cart is packed tighter than the Clampett's car on Beverly Hillbillies. Of course, this will not stop him from going to the 10-items-or-less lane.

SHOES: When preparing for work, a woman will put on a Mondi wool suit, then slip on Reebok sneakers. She will carry her dress shoes in a plastic bag from Saks. When a woman gets to work, she will put on her dress shoes. Five minutes later, she will kick them off because her feet are under the desk. A man will wear the same pair of shoes all day.

CATS: Women love cats. Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

DRESSING UP: A woman will dress up to: go shopping, water the plants, empty the garbage, answer the phone, read a book, get the mail. A man will dress up for: weddings, funerals.

LAUNDRY: Women do laundry every couple of days. A man will wear every article of clothing he owns, including his surgical pants that were hip about eight years ago, before he will do his laundry. When he is finally out of clothes, he will wear a dirty sweatshirt inside out, rent a U-Haul and take his mountain of clothes to the Laundromat. Men always expect to meet beautiful women at the Laundromat. This is a myth perpetuated by re-runs of old episodes of "Love, American Style."

OFFSPRING: Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and soccer games and romances and best friends and favorite foods and secret fears and hopes and dreams. A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

Oh yeah.. Before I forget.....
Just in case you're a user of the "rp" thread..
Would the person that reviewed my Huntress trailer over at BT ..You know who you are.. You said (and I quote) "You suck donkey dick" Kindly let me know who you are (being as you absent mindedly forgot to leave your name) , so that I may have a look at whatever you produced so as I can show you the same courtesy.

I edited that review out Ade, let me know if you see anything else like this on the site. I won't abide immaturity and trolling. No need for that attitude.

I wonder, if somewhere out there in this big old world of ours.. If there is an actor.. A guy, aged about 25, with the perfect look, the perfect build, the acting ability.. And above all else the desire to be Superman... And I wonder.. Would we all be happy if he got the part?
Whoever gets the role.. Be it a known name or an unknown, someone favourites be it Welling, Caviezel, McP.. Whoever.. Will be cast aside.. And some supporters will have their dream of "their" Superman destroyed... I wonder (wonder seems to be my theme here) if the users of the hype will have the civility to not glout.. Not rub it in.. Not act like spoilt little bastards.... I wonder....

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, in fact i'm guessing it's aimed at everyone (including me) but there seems to be an eagerness to celebrate another name being thrown out, when in fact perhaps we should be looking at the opposite side of the coin.. With another name being removed from the list, another possibilty of this movie actually being made is also removed.

I'm working on substantiating it, but there very well may be. And if the info i got turns out to be true, it seems his middle name is even Kent. :)

also, being that Welling fans were publicly announcing their preparedness to start flinging "I Told You So's" at the "naysayers," I tink the examination should start right there.

Me, I am keeping my options open for many types of Superman movies. If you have "your" superman movie in your head, you're guaranteed to be disappointed. It's not bloody likely that it'll happen, mostly cause YOU are not the one making the movie.

That's one of the reasons I thought the Unknown was the status quo. No preconceptions and no baggage. As I said before most people aroud here, fueled by the "insiders", declared victory on this months ago. Most of us, mostly the regulars, knew that anything was possible. We've all gotten our hopes up too many times to know how things can and will change on a whim. I know now that the fact that everyone on here claimed not too long ago that they will accept any outcome Singer was just a line. We've probably all argued ourselves into a corner. Shame.

ps - the only dream Superman film I have in my head is Michael Mann's Superman -- that pwns everything!

I didn't jump to anything. I have an old email that said your name began with a C. You said it didn't. I am assuming you know what your name begins with and that you are telling the truth. Therefore the info in the email was incorrect. I realize I shoudn't have believed what was in the email mainly because of the source. Where was the jump?

Hello every one. Happy Tuesday.
Grey, working is good for you. Poor woobie. :D
Since that last list of things that was posted did not go over so well I thought I would post one that would be much better received on a fanboy's message board. I think you will like it. I think it is pretty funny. And mind you this was passed around nurses, a primarily female profession, so we must secretely see something in this list. But of course we will never agree in public. So enjoy:D

The Guys' Rules
At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down
Finally, the guys' side of the story.
(I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear "the rules"
from the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.
These are our rules!
Please note... these are all numbered "1"
ON PURPOSE!
1. Men ARE not mind readers.

1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.

1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.

1. Crying is blackmail.

1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!

1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.

1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it.
That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.

1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem.
See a doctor.

1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days.

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.

1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways
and one of the ways makes you sad or angry,
we meant the other one.

1. You can either ask us to do something
or tell us how you want it done.
Not both.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.

1. Whenever possible,
please say whatever you have to say during commercials.

1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions and neither do we.

1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not ! a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit.
We have no idea what mauve is.

1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing,"
we will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.

1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to,
expect an answer you don't want to hear.

1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear
is fine...Really.

1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are
prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation,
or golf.

1. You have too many shoes.

1. I am in shape. Round is a shape.

1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;
but did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.

Pass this to as many men as you can -
to give them a laugh.

Pass this to as many women as you can -
to give them a bigger laugh

well, that color one ist exactly the best example when it comes to his realistic paintings...the one i posted was done in watercolor, when usually he works with oils. but when i did a google image search, that one was pretty much the only painting i could find from him that wasnt distorted...because now a days, he distorts them, which he started doing when he became paralyzed:

What happend for him to became paralyzed?

you know what...i forget what happened. but by all rights, it was something serious enough that it shouldnt even be possible for him to do art any more...but he obviously persevered. but if i remember correctly, he was in the hospital for a long time, and he would get a LONG paint brush taped to his hand, and a canvas would be set up at the foot of his bed, and he would paint.

Yeah, I already was in love with his work when I was lucky enough to see a special about him and how he produces this stuff. I've always been fascinated by blown glass artistry (not the little animals you see in kiosks at the mall) - stuff like this. So anyway, the process of heating the glass and liquifying and shaping it - to make each individual piece and put them all together . . and the time and craftsmanship involved, it's staggering. The pics I showed were of chandeliers, but he does all kinds of stuff.

Here's a picture of the form they use to make the chandeliers. There's already a few dozen pieces of glass attached and they are just beginning.

I read the thread - what started as a joke got taken a little far. We all make mistakes at hype, i once created a "who's your fav porn star thread on community":o You've been here a while and the people that count know your a good guy:) As i saw it only one person said you should be banned - the same poster who'd taken some cheap shots at superboy earlier i think. If i had stopped posting somewhere everytime i annoyed someone i wouldnt have got past 100posts. With someone trying to hack your account its easy to imagine your down about hype - take a break if you need one but dont shy away from the Supreman boards cause of this - as you said the decent posters are leaving - if you go that will be another one gonehttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/yarrum/frown.gif
