Congrats to Scarlett on her pregnancy. Maybe one day her baby can have playdates with the tiny Hemsworths, Renner's kid and RDJ's Mini Me. :cwink:


Scarlett's stunt double will get an extra workout on AOU, but then her name is Moneymaker. She'll just be living up to it. :word:

I'm worried about shooting delays and reshoots now. I'm happy that she's going to be a mom but this was a VERY poor time to pop out a kid.

That is Spy Kids 4.


As far as her being pregnant, I don't expect it to interfere much.


Halle Berry was much further along in her pregnancy when she shot Days of Future Past, and you can't even tell in the promo shots and footage.


Trick camera angles, as well as good use of body doubles and stand ins can remedy this problem.


The only real issue is her costume, which can also be remedied by giving her as looser fitting version, and more scenes where she wears standard street clothes/non skintight spy gear.

She's not showing by ANY means. And she's young. Unless they plan on giving her some G forces or doing a sex scene, she's fine doing stunts and wearing her costume for the next couple months. This is, of course, my professional medical opinion. :o

I'm happy for her. knowing that action packed Avengers was coming up for filming, it wouldn't surprise me if this weren't exactly a planned pregnancy... nothing wrong with that, it happens. Hopefully she was able to let Joss know early enough (even though we're just now getting the news) that they'll be able to work around any appearance of a baby bump and do what's necessary to protect her and the baby during any stunt scenes.

I'm not worried.

I don't really want her doing too much if she's pregnant. Would feel pretty bad if something went wrong. No sex before Avengers 3 though lol. She'll have to kick double ass in that one to make up for it.

Congratulations to Scarlett on her pregnancy. I'm quite sure that Whedon will find a way to work around her pregnancy. They might do all of her burdensome action scenes early on before she really starts showing, or maybe her stunt double will do all of the action scenes while Scarlett does the character ones? The point is, there are ways around this. Considering that Whedon's has said that BW will have a big/key role in AOU, I don't see him drastically altering his script just because of this. He'll get creative.
