Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

Forgive me, I'm not sure I follow completely. Do we have to pick ten from the list above, or can we include others that aren't on it? (Archer, for example)

Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

You choose 10 that aren't on the list that should make it alongside these shows.I'm sorry I should have been clearer.

No problem, I'm sure you explained it fine, my brain is just choosing not to fire all cylinders this evening.

Thanks!

Definitely Archer. Also TMNT, Hey Arnold, The Batman, Batman Brave and the Bold, and Adventure Time

Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

The Pink Panther started out as a character in several animated film title sequences and moved from there to a series of theatrical shorts.

You probably should disallow The Pink Panther Show from competition based on your own criteria.

Futurama HAS to go all the way this time.

Except for Carmen San Diego, your nominated shows are already on the Top 100 list . . . so I'm confused about what we're supposed to be doing here.

Are we supposed to list 10 shows that are NOT in the big list in the original post, and then these top 8 nominated shows as of Friday join the other 92 shows for the actual tournament??

Help us out here, JEFF.

Yea everyone picks 10 shows that aren't on the initial list.I'll tabulate the votes and 8 shows will be picked to go along with the other 92.making the total 100,and thanks for alphabetizing everything.

Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

Hey, Jeff ---------- I just noticed that 'The Woody Woodpecker Show' is still in your master list.

That show was definitely just a composite of shorts done for theatrical release, and probably should be dropped from contention.

Forever Rud 01-15-2013 03:30 PM

Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

OK - this list will date me - and I don't hold out much hope of any of these getting another nomination from anyone, much less making the List of 8 (or 9) - but here are the 10 shows not on the list that I remember most fondly:

!. Ruff and Reddy
2. Beany and Cecil
3. The Yogi Bear Show
4. The Quick Draw McGraw Show
5. Clutch Cargo
6. Roger Ramjet
7. George of the Jungle
8. King Leonardo and His Short Subjects
9. Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles
10. Tales of the Wizard of OZ (Rankin/Bass)

Re: 4th Annual Animated TV shows Tournament

Sorry to keep playing 'editor' on you, Jeff, but i keep seeing shows in your master list that don't seem to be fair competitors!

'Schoolhouse Rock' was never a show -- it was just a series of interstitial shorts sprinkled throughout Saturday mornings in the 70s.

If you were to drop Schoolhouse Rock and The Woody Woodpecker Show from the initial list, you'd have a nice round 10 spots to fill with our nominations.
