Well... you have Photoshop CS4 or 5 right?

All you have to do when you import the gif/video is select range only when you get to this screen and check limit to every x amount of frames and bam!

I got sort of lazy resizing them to exactly 100x100, but I'm pretty sure The Hype will do that for you when uploading it as your avatar.
