I certainly hope this guy gets more work in the US besides GI Joe. He can be pretty awesome.

I like Byung a lot as well. He's got a good look, clearly talented and he speaks English fine. Thing is that the industry doesn't really like to cast Asians even English speaking ones in lead roles unless it's say Jet Li or Jackie Chan.

If there's one thing that Hollywood has yet to really do is get a good leading man role for an Asian actor. Almost every Asian actor has been in an action movie doing stunts and having a really limited character range.

has anyone seen the new tv spot that was just posted, it looked like there was a brief glimpse of The Commander. He looks a lot more like his animated series counterpart.

He was featured already in the first trailer. Yeah he looks way better this time around.

I just hope the director isn't jerking us around by saying this is not the Rex Commander from the first movie.

My God, looking at that still makes me realize that Snake Eyes looks so much better than in the 1st movie. Saying that, there most likely isnt anything that's not going to be better this time around...........

I'm really digging how they did a hybrid of his original "commando" mask and the more famous visor one.

How come Storm Shadow (my favorite Cobra character) is always unmasked in those movie stills? And who is that gorgeous brunette in the red dress?

But why Storm Shadow over Snake Eyes?

Heh, I'm thinking it's because he's shirtless, if not, perhaps to show race diversity, or it could be due to that Byung-hun is a singer as well, so to attract his fans? I dunno.

Doesn't Lady Jaye have short hair in the toon and comics? At least she's very hot & attractive, and imo better than Scarlette.

The Rock: Haha, bro I'm twice your size.

Ray Park: That's cool. I know 473 different forms of martial arts and could fold you into an origami crane if I wanted to.

The Rock: ... I know.

Those posters are actually pretty cool. The one with Bruce looks a tad strange though, since he's wearing a suit. It doesn't exactly scream "GI Joe" and well, he's the one character who should.

Re: News & Discussion Thread

The posters are great. Cobra Commander is looking the boss and I'm surprised there's a Duke one.
